Best fast food burger there is, yes it's expensive, you get what you pay for.

I've been here at least 20 times in the last 7 months and every single time my food is on point and the service is excellent! Thank you Five Guys of Potsdam, NY!

Fantastic! If you crave beef this is the place. Made to order burgers hot and juicy with your favorite toppings. The fries are great. If you live near the US Canada border you are likley familiar with vinegar on fries. At 5 Guys they offer malt vinegar for your fries. Portions are filling and will satisfy your hunger.

Always awesome food! We preordered through Google and they had our food going when we walked in! I'm guessing the lead or manager (He had on black instead of red like the rest) checked our name and was loud and clear to his workers that we were there and ready and to get out milkshakes and fries ready. Probably the best customer service around anymore!

Was surprised with the new location. Their food here is the standard amazing as usual. Their staff was helpful with the choices as well. My wife and I don't like the normally large amount of fries so she suggested the little fries. It was a perfect fry to share when you don't eat may fries. It had that new construction feel. There were tables that folks could stand at as well if that was your preference. There were the usual small tables with the higher chairs and the tables with chairs closer to the earth. There was another new table that could accommodate seating for more than four as well. Stead opened thedoors promptly and on time. We ordered shakes which were ready and waiting for us before we got done with our order and moved to our table. Bathroom was clean and will maintained. The music in the background seemed at the perfect volume for us as well. I had ordered a cheeseburger and my wife ordered the small cheeseburger. I completely love the concept of the large complexity of toppings available at no additional cost. The burgers came out perfect. This is not to be compared with other fast food restaurants. You will have to wait for your order to be cooked fresh for you every time which includes the fries. Nothing is placed on a warming rack after being cooked ahead of time. Regardless of the time factor of freshly cooked food, they are fast. The cost of the items are a bit higher than other burger places, but the quality of the ingredients and the quality of the end product is worth it. Wherever my family and I have the opportunity to choose between a place like this and others, this one wins every time.

I’ve been a regular at Five Guys since I moved to town. The location is convenient since I live just down the street, the workers are always friendly, fries are always fresh, and burgers are always juicy and top notch. Best fast food restaurant in town, honestly!

Five guys is a wonderful family style restaurant. They have great food. Great service, and the mean well with everything they do. The prices are a little high depending on what you purchase. But there are ways to keep it budget conscious.

The food was good. Service was good. Our only complaint was they had the air conditioning on and the front door wide open. It was so cold inside we were all shivering! It was in mid 80's outside. But to have it that cold was ridiculous. Other customers were complaining about it being too cold

Wonderful place! Clean with a friendly staff. I walked in once and no one was behind the character and because of that I was given a milkshake on the house. It was a surprising gesture that made me see that they care about their customers. =)

They are very cognizant of a gluten allergy and more than willing to make accommodations for you. Throw in excellent french fries, a friendly smile from staff and you can't loose.

Had a cheese burger and Cajun fries with a chocolate milk shake. Staff was super friendly.. biggest small fry I’ve ever seen. Cajun fries weren’t my thing but the cheese burger and shake were awesome.

My first time in Five Guys, as a brit my first one being the states I had high expectations and they were met! Ok its pricey for fast food but you get value! Dont order a large fries, medium will serve 2 of you!

What can I say that hasn't already been said about 5 Guys. The burgers are superb, the service is prompt and proper and the atmosphere is clean and concise. The food is pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for and more. Comparatively, you could not get even close to what you get at Five Guys for $20 at your leading fast food greasy burger holes. 5 guys screams Americana and is a must see for Road side enthusiasts. Until you go yourself, you won't understand and it will just be folklore.

Great option to stop for a burger and some fries. you can make the most of it and order carryout and that's exceptional. I've never had to deal with a line. The food is delicious and the ideal fast food experience. I've never had a bad experience. Best of all, the food is always fresh.

The burgers are fresh and with extra toppings at no extra cost, the fries are fresh cut, and fried 100% peanut oil. They are amazing, great staff, and even better food. I would have taken pictures but it looked so good I had to eat it asap. Definitely go and get some burgers fries and a shake if you can. 5 stars no doubt. Would rate 10/5 if possible

Service was EXTREMELY polite and helpful. Man at the register greeted me the second I entered and I immediately felt welcomed (not something I’m used to in a fast food joint). The general vibe of the workers was amazing, smiles all around. I received phenomenal recommendations and left with a grin.

I have been to MANY different Five Guys around the US. The motivation level in this one will be hard to match and impossible to beat. The enthusiastic clerk at the cashier received us with high energy, only surpassed by the person that delivered our order. They sang along with the fantastic music, and only one was slightly off on the harmonies. That only added to the charm of the experience. We WILL be back.

The service and atmosphere is phenomenal. Very friendly staff very nice modern comfortable seating areas. The burgers are cooked well and the only complaint about the burgers is the soggy feeling to the buns, but even that was only a slight dampener. The fries are to die for. So good. The milkshake I had was phenomenal. Strawberry and banana. So worth the price.

Great atmosphere, really nice employees. Management super friendly. The food is great and despite what some folks say it's really not terribly expensive. They are really big portions. The standard burger is a double, and the fry order is basically a full bag of fries. I recommend the cajun seasoning if you can stand the heat!

my family and i went for shakes, it was about 2 hours until close and they did NOT seem impressed they had to make 4 oreo milkshakes that close to close. they were delicious though.

They do a good job at keeping the restaurant clean. Food is always hot and fresh, a tiny bit of a wait sometimes but the staff is always friendly and very helpful.

Food was great, dining area looked like a pig pen. Zero clean tables and floor was littered with food waste and napkins. This was at 830pm, not even peak hours.

Place seems nice enough on the inside. The one challenge I got at this place wasn't so much the staff or the service. That was all as to be expected. The challenge is geographical. Unless the parking lot location/entrance vs the intersection it borders, can make entry and exit quite challenging.

I love Five Guys! This location is fairly new and still super busy. It's hard to find parking, long wait for food, hard to find seating, and it's difficult for the staff to keep up with cleaning the dining area. But it's still Five Guys, so I'm going back.

Great hamburgers-single or double! Wide variety of fixings. Cooked on grill after order is placed. Peanuts are available to shell while you wait. Fries are made from raw potatoes and cooked in peanut oil. Bright surroundings with red and white tile.

The poor workers are so understaffed but still trying their best.

Delicious burger and fry joint. If you order a small fry be prepared to share it with two people! All of the food is made in front of you and the fries are homemade so thats a plus!

Excellent burgers but a bit pricey. Portions are huge just watch the sodium.

Awesome burgers - bacon cheeseburger with large fries large drink. Aside from them putting tomatoes on my burger that I didn't order, everything was hot and fresh and delicious. Workers all greeted us when we walked through the doors. Nice touch! Coke soda machines where you can mix any flavors you want to try. Great job, Potsdam Five Guys!

I mean its overpriced fast food but it is a nice guilty pleasure. You can't beat their fries (which better be the case since they cost more than a sandwich at any other fast food place) their burgers are quite good and their service is fast. Bonus our kid picks it for every special dinner.

The Five Guys of Potsdam, NY is clean, staff is friendly and the food is amazing, either dine-in or take-out. We have been told on call in orders, fries will not be dropped until you arrive to pay for your order. In cases where time management is key, plan for this slight delay. I granted a four star rating (would've granted 4.7 if possible) due to having to wait for the fries to cook when picking up orders.Awesome place, enjoy!

You see all these magazines on the wall saying five guys is the best... Then you realize those aren't real magazines.... The food is drenched in salt and the burger patties disintegrate in your mouth. Extremely loud. Workers have to shout to be heard. Everything is served in a paper sack. Burgers are really good! Fries are fresh cut, but too salty for my taste. And would prefer at least a tray for dine in. Only give you a bag and with the extra fries in bottom its less interesting.

The burgers were delicious!! The Fries were so salty we couldn't even eat them!! We have never had so much salt on fries befor, it was disgusting!! And we like salt.

Mixed review with our family of 6. Fries were quite salty (some liked them a lot). Hamburgers were decent, but not awesome--no bun options, and it was just a basic seed-top white bun. Kids ate their hotdogs, but completely discarded their buns. Toddler who LOVES hotdogs was definitely not much into the one offered at Five Guys.

Food was ehh.. incredibly slow. 2 people $50.. pricey for burgers and fries.

One of my biggest complaints is that this location is practically on the border of Canada and will not sell Poutine! It's ridiculous! There are zero excuses for this.

Five Guys is one of those chains that you expect consistency from. For the most part, this location delivers. The burgers were fresh. The service was quick, proportionally to the fresh made burgers. The fries were burnt. There are no other ways to say that. Overly crunchy and did not taste fresh in the slightest. I really do, but I went and asked for fresh fries. They were very quick to accommodate and had no problem doing it. But the fries they gave me were only slightly less burnt and still overly crispy and brown. Suffice it to say, they must need to change their oil or something. Either that, or train the fry guy better. Lastly, I walk out of this place smelling immensely of grease. I have frequented many a Five Guys, I've never walked out smelling like greasy restaurant. Maybe it's a college town thing?

I took the carry-out option. Upon arriving home, the order was wrong. Food was missing and wrong ingredients were put on the burgers. I know Five Guys burgers are typically pretty greasy but these burgers looked like they had gone through a trash compactor. Will try once more, at a much future date.

Ordered a veggie burger, wasn't sure they had one, got the order to go so I didn't realize till I got home that their veggie burgers are simply all the vegetables they have ( lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers) on a bun! WHAT A RIP OFF!! Paid as much as if there had been a patty on it, soooo disappointed! And they should definitely tell you before hand that you don't actually get e veggie patty just a bunch of vegetables.

I’m a door dash delivery driver. Today I picked up an order…which took forever to get. Sadly, this location is still slow at filling orders. Moving along. So, I get the order (2 burgers and 1 fri) & I bring it to the customer. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived at the customers’s work, for delivery, grease from the order had soaked all the way through the bag into my new car seat! Then, the icing on the cake was handing the order to the customer and having all of the food fall out of the bottom of the bag! Mind you, this customer stated he waited over 45mins for me to deliver that order!! Now he has to start that process all over again!! So, I now have a grease stain on my back seat that requires a professional to clean as there is a battery beneath the seat that can not get wet, preventing me from cleaning it myself. That’ll be roughly $200. DoorDash stated the fault lies with Five Guys, as their food was not packaged properly. The fries were all lose in the bottom of the bag, rather than in their container, and the burgers were literally leaking grease out of their packaging when they spilled out of the bottom of the bag, so clearly they were also not packaged properly. I attempted to contact the restaurant, but nobody answered the phone…not that I expected them to agree to pay for the cleaning. Point is, had they done their jobs correctly and packaged the food the way they were suppose to, this never would’ve happened. As such, I don’t get paid for that order, I am missing out of fares because I can not use that back seat now (for rides!) and I have to pay $200+ for my seat to be cleaned!!! UNACCEPTABLE!! This company ought to be ashamed of itself!

Went 2 days in a row and it was the best burger I’ve had ever at a fast food place. Quick simple and delicious. I’m sorry we waited so long to try it. EDITED- since the shutdown from grease fire been twice once being today and both times left after not having eadible food the bun today smelled of musk and was pure white no brown at all. So pissed I threw the shake fries and burger away how enraging
