My Favorite Restaurant in Presidio, Always clean, Great Service, Great Food, Price is not bad and food is served good. Only not so possitive side is that sometimes they mess up the special requests in the orders but everything else is Great.
I absolutely love this small family restaurant that serves wonderful authentic Mexican food with great prices!! I have the pleasure of stopping by fairly regularly and have always been very pleased with the food,service, and atmosphere of this restaurant. I have been going here for years now, and it is one of my favorites on the Texas side of the border!
This was our second time in Presidio and our second time to have breakfast at El Patio. Perfect breakfast before heading into BBRSP. Huevos Rancheros was wonderful and don't be shy with the salsa... It's perfect. Just hot enough to get your sinuses running, but not kill the taste. We will go back every time we are in the area. Thank you for the great meal, and the great service.
On a trip home recently from Big Bend, we drove the Beautiful Road between Terlingua and Presidio, and were rewarded by finding El Patio in Presidio! Sparkling clean restaurant, kitchen & restrooms - and oh so fantastic and yummy food! We had the Beef Tacos and El Patio Special and loved every bit of it. Wish we lived closer to enjoy more, but will be back whenever we are anywhere near Presidio! Thank you for an Oasis in the Desert!
Friendly server. Clean modern bathroom. The meal was really good. I had the El Patio Special. Prices were decent.
Top notch breakfast burrito. We ate breakfast there four days in a row. January 2025 - back in town and they are now in a new location east of the Family Dollar store. Looks like the number is 516, but hard to read in the dark at 7 am.
Small place with the best red enchiladas and beef quesadillas we have ever eaten. One of our favorite restaurants; it is a 4 or 5 hour round trip when we come here for lunch (we obviously enjoy the scenic drive both ways).
My expectation was not very high, just thought we get a quick breakfast and be on our way. Not so... the scrambled eggs and pancakes were perfection!! These people know how good food is made! Yeah, only four very small tables. But oh, so, worth the wait to sit and enjoy a great meal.
If you ever find yourself in Presidio you need to try this place. Very small, only three inside tables, and so clean. Simple menu. You do have to ask for chips and salsa. We shared the bean, cheese, and meat nachos, as we were eating later. Very good. Salsa has a great flavor.

Delicious flavors and unique breakfast tacos (compared to the Dallas fare). Very clean and small with, yep, a patio. The ladies were very pleasant and helpful. Wish they were closer. This would be my new go-to.
Cold beer. Delicious spicy homemade salsa. Authentic red chili enchiladas. It does not get any better than this. Worth the drive. Gracias!🤠
Stopped by today from out of town. Food was okay but not something that i would come back for. Our server was very friendly, polite, and courteous. The restaurant itself is very clean and nice.

We went in for lunch. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant in the gravel lot. We went in the back door and sat at a table. They had a lunch special of chicken fried steak. We decided on the special. It was ok but the mexican food is much better. We had an enjoyable meal.
Food is always good, but you need more portions for the prices. Staff us always friendly even when they are super busy. Take out is usually pretty good and always on time. Your food is always hot and fresh.
This is a Don Quixote themed restaurant. Food is decent, as are the prices. The wait for the food was ridiculous, though. 45 minutes from the time I placed my order till the time my food arrived. The staff is super friendly and they explained that there are a lot of to-go orders and that's why things could take a bit longer then welcome. So although I understand, still not too happy about that.
During lunch time at 12pm, We waited more than 30 minutes after ordered but no foods served. We patiently asked the waitress and was advised 10 more minutes and still no food. All customers arrived after us were served and had their food. We had no choice but to leave for other places . Restaurant itself and atmosphere is nice and clean. Plenty of Parking. Waitress is polite but service and serving time is 1 star.
El Patio review. We ate there on June 2018. The food taste was o.k. The menu did have several choices. We ordered the Mexican plate, beef flautas, 1 taco, 2 drinks and a coffee. We were not that impressed with the overall quality. The bill was too expensive for what we ordered ($32.40). What disappointed us the most was that they added a 15% tip to the bill-so they tipped themselves, it was the owners that served us and not waitress – so I don’t know why they added that, we were going to leave a tip but after we saw that on the bill we definitely did not ! We won’t be going there again. See pics I attached.
Absolutely the worst. Ordered 2 breakfast plates and 2 drinks. Paid $21 per plate with drink for this crap. If there was a negative, they would absolutely get that.
