I really do Love the Food Here. The Employees At This Drive-In are doing A Great Job. They Make it Seem Like A Really Great Job. It Has A Family Based Atmosphere. I'm Just Saying That You Will Be Very Happy With This Place Of Business.
This is by far the best Sonic Drive-In that I have ever visited in all the states I've traveled through. The order was right, the food was good, the service was fast and everyone was very friendly that work there. Couldn't be more pleased and couldn't be more surprised!

Amazing customer service first of all. Everyone at this store was super kind and overly willing to help us out. We put in an order for our football team, and the manager offered to drive 20 minutes to deliver us our food. Nothing but great things to say about this Sonic.
The food was hot and correctly made. The service was fast and courteous. The crew member was well mannered and friendly. The store and yard were clean and there's even outside tables to sit at

I drove in order my food,not long after, I got it.The young lady that brought my food was just as pleasant and as helpful as she could be. I started to leave and my car didn't start,I sat there and ate my food thinking how am I going to start my car,I was getting ready to call the Quanah Sheriff's dept. when the young lady comes back and ask me if I need anything else or can she can get rid of my empty cup and trash. I ask her if she knows of someone in town that will come and jump start my car cause it won't start.. She informs me that her manager would probably know. Her manager come out motions to me and I said yes.He jumps my car and helps me on my way home. I offer to pay but he says no. So very Thankful for this kindness. I recommend this place and give it a 10 *.
It was a dark and snowy night when we drove up. Very quiet. Service was chilly.
Don't ever really have a problem with service. They get my order right almost every time. Also ordering ahead to avoid wait times is great.
Would've gave them 5 stars but my chili cheese coney didn't have much cheese or chili on it! But the grilled cheese, tots and fries were perfect! Fresh and crispy, :) just passing by omw to Colorado from East Texas! Thanks!
The chicken sandwich was fresh and piping hot The patty on the hamburger was barely warm. The men's bathroom needed a lot of attention. Service was slow but cheerful and with a smile.
Stopped for lunch on drive from jacksksonville tx. back to Central Coast Ca. after Christmas holiday..Food was good, it was buzy n we had to wait for awhile but the lady told us when we ordered that it would be a bit of a wait so we were ok with that. It was cold n windy and the lady was doing a great job of getting peoples food out to them..We don't have Sonic where I live so I eat it every chance I get...Love, love the cheese tots..
The food is absolutely delicious 😋.... On the rare occasion it's made correctly. when the good workers and a decent manager are on shift, the food is good and the service is prompt, even when busy.
Fried food was a little overcooked or maybe the oil was old? Our chicken strips, fries and tots were uniformly brown. A few shades darker than should be normal for fried food.
They don't have enough workers so time on food is long. When u get ur food it's not complete. They leave out little things like gravy but that's what makes the meal. Hate that they don't take phone orders anymore.
the food was pretty good here at the Sonic service was a little slow we we park your trailer and truck alongside and came up and sat in order from the big menu and the the table area I don't know what made him so so there wasn't much business there yes I like The Santa Clause full but they're from another store and everything went fine
Service was prompt, but after we drove away, we realized that the bacon was missing from our grilled cheese with bacon. A bit of a disappointment, especially since we paid for said bacon, and one we didn't rectify since we were traveling and more eager to be on the road than circle back.
The worst burritos in my whole life. Tortilla wasn't warm, barely some scrambled egg inside.
It was an average trip to Sonic. The combos all were cooked properly and no errors on the order being placed. So that's always a plus no matter where you visit
Food and service was good. The sitting area (i guess most people will stay inside their car anyway) was pretty dirty. So once we started to wipe one table an employee came out and started scrubbing them off. So good place for having a quick meal
It took a long time to get our food. My chili cheese dog and tots were good. My husband was disappointed in his chili cheese burger. It was served on bread instead of a bun. The girl who brought our food was friendly and apologized for the delay.
Order was not correct. Told missing items. Went back to get. Got home no cheese sauce for pretzel. Still missing one item. They correct missing fries and slush.
Bathroom-only review. Women and children skip this bathroom break. The toilet seat and lid are broken off and the employees smoke in there. I hoped Sonic would have a better potty than a gas station but NOPE. Yuck.
The food was fine and clearly had been sitting out - it was barely warm. And 2 out of 3 burgers were incorrect; we ate them anyway. They were very slow, it took 15-20 min to get our 3 burgers and tater tots.
WOW..... Just read a bunch of reviews. No excuse for this to be happening all the time. Consistently bad for about the last six months. I have no idea what changed but definitely has been going down hill. Why has corporate not stepped in? I gave three stars because not sure if everyday is as bad this day was. I ordered a head online. It took 45 minutes to get our order consisting of a hot dog, tater tots with cheese, and two drinks. The servers seemed confused. Four different people came to our car side for different reasons. I was told managers weren't there and it was memorial Day and people had called in.
Slow service and they were not busy. Tots were old. Burger looked slopped together. Usually Sonic is better than this but not at this location
Food wasn't the way it was ordered. The Cheese Coney was Nasty and Hard inside and out. The Tots with Cheese was HARD. I had problems eating it.
Waited for half an hour for 4 drinks, and they got the drinks wrong, i work at another sonic and this is extreamly low quality service. 4 drinks with no one else at the sonic should be out in at most 2 minutes.

Have to push red button multiple times, even when I'm the only person here. The wait times have been atrocious to say the least and depending on those working at times you get the oldest and nastiest food. They don't get your drink orders right as I've ordered Dr.Pepper multiple times and have been met with a barrage of unsweet teas and diet cokes.
I was a partner of a Sonic Drive In, in Arkansas for 8 years. My carhops where the key to my success. The carhops where friendly but the cook was really sloppy. I ordered a burrito and it looks like they dropped it in the grills grease trap before they sent it out the window. The egg was over portioned and like I said just a mess. I have traveled in 30 states and never had this greasy of a burrito. Thanks for being you.
Don't answer phone. Orders frequently wrong. Burgers often cold. Slow service. I'm a local and I give them 2 stars rather than 1 because sometimes, rarely, they get it right. I give them a chance every so often, but it's only gotten worse over the last 4 or 5 YEARS. Obviously there's enough out of town business that they don't care.
I ordered a chili cheese coney with mustard and onion. What I got was a chili cheese coney without mustard and onion on a hard bun. My tater tots were cooked in old grease. In overall a bad experience. I was very disappointed. I would have given a one-star if it weren't for the fact the staff were at least friendly.
The service was great, order was right. The drinks were flatter than my ex’s personality. We couldn’t finish the drinks because they were so bad. The sprite with raspberry tasted sugarless and was watered down. Every drink was almost the same exact way. We’ve been in a long car ride and just wanted some refreshing drinks. The food is not good at all. We ordered breakfast from here and literally everything is cold and old, as if it was food from last night. My tortillas were not warmed up at all. Even the sweet tea tasted as if it was sitting out overnight.... Bottom Line... Disgusting I gave 2 stars because our carhop girl was nice.
Our experience with this location was horrible. Being on the road we stopped for something quick and easy. Poor work ethic, they were rude, no communication what so ever. Would have been a great experience if they worked on customer service.
Passing by to get something to eat after driving from Colorado, told me they weren't serving food at this time. So just decided to order at least a shake and said machine was down. Then why stay open at 9 pm.
Terrible Place. Brought food with no napkins and I asked carhop for a napkin. She never returned. 2 hotdogs were cold. Next time I will stop at loves. A waste of time and money.
No one wearing gloves. Servers handling cell phones and then handling food. When we asked about sanitation and safety for COVID we were told they had some rules when it first started but that was a while ago. The gal even told us there was a sign out front stating they weren’t required to wear gloves. We Had already paid but were so disturbed by their lack of care that we left the food.
Got up to the drive-thru pick-up window, no gloves or masks on any of the employees working there, no partition. Don't waste your time stopping in Quannah during the pandemic.
I have been here for about 3 months working. The first time I stayed in Quanah. I have stayed in Childress the last 2 times and the Sonic in Childress is like in a whole different chain. I read the review about hiring anyone with 10 fingers and an IQ of above 12 and have to agree. They can't count change, and DON'T unless you ask them what it is, and they are just rude. I won't stop again - I'll get what I need in Childress. Boo for you Quanah. I like your town but you all need to step it up.
Slowest people ever. Should not be in food industry if you cannot take orders and delivery food within a reasonable amount of time. Fast food it is definitely NOT
By far the worst Sonic I have ever been to. Waited 20 minutes just to get two cold burgers, and cold onion rings that was like a half order of a small instead of a medium. Fire them all and start over with people who want to work.
Waited in a stall light flashing for 10 mins with no answer. Went through the drive through, they charged me for fries and tots instead of subbing my tots for fries. Staff was sassy. Took 10 more minutes to get food, restaurant was not busy.
Employees can't get an order right. Management will only refund or replace. Will not do anything to win my business back. Why go back? They make your meal wrong drive 15 min away have to turn around go back. Waste of my time and all I'm told is a refund or the correct sandwhich. Should have comped the whole meal or at a minimum give me a coupon. Won't stop here again. Order a grilled chicken sandwhich and they give me a kids cheesburger. Screen shows you what to put in the bag ... wish me job was that easy.
Placed an online order for a pickup. Checked into a stall and waited 25 minutes. Order was messed up and had items missing. I would not recommend this sonic.
Food was terrible cold. Fries & tots were old not fresh, like were cooked earlier & dried out. My patty melt bread was soft not fresh & cold. My husband steak sandwich was hard & dried out. This was at 1201 W 11th Quanah, Texas 79252
This Sonic in particular isn't one you'd probably want to get food at. At one point, we were scared they'd spit in our food. They have a bad manager and the place is usually run by skittish teens. I've been to this one quiet a few times, about only one time was I satisfied. So if you're wondering if this is a nice place to stop by, you might want to wait to get something in Childress. They have one there.
This is the worst sonic I have ever visited. Even the locals cringe when needing a fast fresh burger and sonic is the only fast food place in this small country town. Service is slow. Staff is friendly. Count your blessings when your order is correct.
Was there today on July 7th 2018 at 8:20 am. Went to order some breakfast for me and my fiance and they can't get anything right. How does a toaster combo and burrito combo come out to $20 and had to explain to them how to do it, finally got out of my car and told the people inside to cancel the order cus I'm not paying for it.
Absolutely horrible service! Ordered 4 drinks on the app and still took 10 minutes to receive while other orders made at the stall after I arrived were delivered before mine. This location is relatively new but looks run down and dirty with multiple stalls out of order and signing missing.
Probably the slowest service ever. Maybe short staffed? Could have updated those in line/waiting. To boot the food was super salty... To the point of not being editable. This isn't my home town Sonic so maybe it's normal here.
By far the worst sonic I have ever been at so far, and I eat sonic alot while traveling multiple states. Food arrived 20 mins after being ordered, food was cold, the bread was super stale and hard, ordered a 5pc cinnasnack to only get a 3pc with no cream cheese frosting despite no body really at sonic besides 2 other cars and myself. I'm also pretty sure they gave me a diet vanilla Dr Pepper with cream gross, and the staff wonders why they get paid minimum wage pathetic.
Ordered 5 drinks and it took over 40 minutes to get my order. Only a fraction of the stalls were full, so it’s not like they were busy. Pushed the red button, walked up to the door, talked to the car hop, but nothing helped. Unbelievable.
Pulled up, pushed the red button, some garbled speech, 10 minutes later still hadn't given order so left. Only 2 other vehicles in the parking lot and they were in the back, not at an order board, so I assume they belonged to workers that apparently weren't working.
The worst location on planet earth. An idiot would be too qualified to work here. They literally regularly shut down the drive through because they’re incapable of handling both drive in and drive thru service. Rude, condescending, callous and unprofessional. I spend 100 days a year in this town and will never frequent this dump.
Please update your hours. I drove 30 minutes into town to eat here and they were closed 1.5hours earlier than posted. Non holiday.
Clean your tea jugs and ice machine before you kill someone! Not every one can fight off the bacteria and contamination that I suspect exists in your drinks! This is irresponsible and dangerous! I would report you to the health department! 30 hours of being sick! Not cool!

Horrible experience. Waited 45 minutes never got food. People came up ordered 10 minutes after we did ordered and got their food we never got anything. Called manager out to the car explained the situation he acted like he didnt care. Never again!!
Stopped for some food on the way to Amarillo. Ordered simple burgers with fries, and after we get back on the highway we noticed my wife's hamburger was missing the MEAT! Pretty basic stuff, so I couldn't imagine what the cleaning in there is like. Should get zero stars.
I stopped by Sonic all the time. This was the first time in a long time that I had a really bad experience. I was on the road and just passing through and needed to get something to tie me over. So, I ordered through the app to get my half price drink and also ordered some tater tots. Several of the digital screens at this particular Sonic were messed up. I had to punch the red button just to find out what stall I was at. Then my order came and as the young lady grabbed the drink by the top it collapsed on her. Needless to say, it went all over her hand and forearm. Stuff happens and I know that. She went ahead and handed me my tater tots and took my drink back inside to wash it off. A different girl brought the drink out and I hit the road. Little did I realize that my tater tots were barely warm and a good many of them were smushed. I kept eating though. Then, I put in my straw and boy was I surprised at what I was drinking. It sure wasn't what I ordered. So, this trip to Sonic was a disaster.
I waited over 50 minutes to receive my order which consisted of tater tots, mozzarella sticks, and a drink. After waiting for 30 minutes I stepped out of my vehicle to ask for a refund. The man who spoke with me assured me my food would be right out and there was no need for a refund. I proceeded to wait an additional 10 minutes watching other orders being delivered to surrounding cars. I again asked to be refunded and was told they thought I was parked under a different stall which is why I had not recieved my food and they would remake the order immediately. Upon waiting another 10 minutes, (the normal amount of time it should take to receive an order) my food finally arrived. It's pretty disappointing to run a fast food joint where it takes as long to receive low quality food as it does to eat at a high quality Steakhouse enjoying a steak dinner.
Pretty lousy service. Was told they only take cash. When we ordered had to repeat at least 5 times and practically scream to be heard. When food came car hop was not wearing a mask like the sign said. Did not get all the food we ordered and when we told them we did not get the 2 orders of tater tots they brought out another sack. Different car hop brought and not wearing a mask handed us a sack with just 1 order of tater tots. We gave up so they received a pretty good tip for poor service.
I love Sonic but our visit to this location was not good. The food was great but we ordered two meals, one of which was wings with their Asian sauce. Looking through the bag we thought they forgot napkins, which is frustrating but I can live with that. Then we saw one napkin in the bottom of the bag. One. That is unacceptable, that's why I'm giving them this lie rating. That was intentional on their part and not funny to us.

We were on our way home, to the DFW area, stopped for a quick bite. The drive-through just had 1 car, so went there. We ordered 2 #1s no tomatoes or onion, one diet coke, one coke. We got 2 burgers both with onions & tomatoes & 2 cokes. 🙄 took forever & I'm 100% sure she gave one of our burgers to the car in front of us, because she gave a white bag back to them & they gave us a white bag. Not cool. Not safe. Glad we won't be back.
If I could give 0 stars I would we came during lunch hit thar red button was told it would be 15mins and to hold on to get our order another truck pulled in across from us and was able to order right away. We ended up having to push the button again to get our order taken. I understand busy food places but to not take food order in the order ppl come is ridiculous we won't be back!
Waited 25 mins for a drink, mozzarella sticks, and tots. My food was "on its way" for more than 10mins. I asked for a refund before food ever arrived which was given, but included attitude and eye rolls from the carhop. This is not the first or tenth time I've had a bad experience.
This is by far the worst sonic I’ve been to. You can’t get fast food workers to fix your food properly and with care, but they want $15 an hour? I’m so upset. Them wings I got were dry and I can tell they been sitting there. I had got cheesy tots and I can tell they just laid a slice of cheese on top of it. I swear on my life I’m never going to another sonic in my life. This location out put the icing on the cake for me. You got people spending their hard earned money and you can’t fix the food properly?
How is this sonic even able to stay open?? After my experience and looking at SO MANY other negative reviews with the same issues, why is this location not being addressed by corporate!? Literally every stall is broken, drive thru not open and not one single employee taking the time to be outside to take orders! If you are aware of all of your stalls being out of order, take the initiative and go outside to take orders for your customers. Thank goodness we were just passing through from Colorado and will never have to deal with this location again. Something needs to be done about this location. Absolutely ridiculous.
Was told that they can only make drinks right now. Over an hour before closing. Is it my fault you cleaned too early, so now you dont want to cook? People who travel rely on places that say they are open, to actually be open. Disappointed. (**updated to comment on what a joke the response was.)
SAVE YOURSELF. Just want a few refreshing drinks? Prepare yourself for a 20-45 minute wait. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Just go to a restaurant, you’ll enjoy the same amount of time, if not less, in a decently comfy seat stretching your legs.
Went to the sonic in Quanah, Texas and it was very dissatisfying. My two kids meals did not have fries in them, my husband's fries had been sitting out so long they were stale and nasty and he never got the ketchup he requested, my cousin's tater tots were undercooked, and even though there was only a few people there at the time it took a long time for anyone to take our order. I am from out of town and this was not a good first impression of this store, I will probably never stop by again when i come through.
Came up here to this Sonic and pushed the red button. I was in the middle of ordering and the lady hung up on me and cleared my order. Then when I asked for the manager to come out to the car he got extremely rude and disrespectful. The only thing that to this Sonic is good at is constantly consistently screwing up your order and being absolutely disrespectful and rude I strongly advise everybody avoid this Sonic at all costs.
Order was NOT correct and even after a $2.00 online tip, Kendi was the worst carhop we have ever experienced. We had to ask her for our food, after she brought our drinks and there was no ketchup, or napkins, in the bag or offered, and my husband's burger had mayo instead of mustard. Will NOT be going back there?
Worst experience at a sonic! I orderd two drinks from the carhop at 6:56 and waited almost 40 minutes. So I went through the drive thru and most of the workers were just standing around and on their phones. I was able to get my drinks but they were already poured and sitting on the counter, with the ice almost completely melted.
Stopped mainly for a drink but decided to go ahead and get something to eat. When carhop answered the box she told us if we were ordering food, it would be 15 to 20 min wait because they only had 1 cook. I could understand that if they were busy but there was only ONE other car there. We just told her thankyou and left without ordering anything.
First we pulled up to the ordering station and no one answered after we sat there for about 5 mins. We pulled up to the window and told them no one answered so they took our order at the window. We ordered a route 44 sweet tea easy ice, large mozzerella with ranch, and a large chili cheese tot. The drink was completely full of ice, they gave marinara sauce instead of ranch, and gave a medium cheese tot instead of a large. Not to mention the lady was very short with us. Didn't want to waste our time trying to get it fixed with the poor customer service that they had.
If you’re closed, put up some sign that indicates you’re closed, not random stickers that say “closed boil order” because 1. What does that even mean? and 2. if I have to guess what it means, I probably won’t guess the entire restaurant is closed. And since you have screens that indicate customers can order, maybe turn those off.
7 PM on Sunday and they’re closed, complete garbage they can’t find workers to stay open during their normal business hours

Food takes way too long to come out every time I come to this location. I've been to plenty of other sonics that take no where near this long just skip it if you can

I went here with my family and all the parking stalls were out of order. We finally found one open stall. The lady on the speaker said the milkshake machine was broken and milkshakes were the main thing we wanted to order. The food was terrible.
The only reason we ever come to this Sonic is because there is a Tesla Super Charger. The food service is REALLY Slow. To be fair, they are hiring. AND the Sonic order board in front of the kitchen was having difficulties. It would have been nice if a human came out of the establishment to help the only 2 customers that were waiting. Nope I had to go through the doors for “employees only” to get someone’s attention and was told to go outside and try to order again. Really disappointing. We will be stopping in Childress at that Super Chargers from now on.
Terrible Customer Service. I sat in the stall for 16 minutes push the red button several times and no one took my order. There were only five cars in the whole place.

Temporarily (maybe permanently) closed. We’ve visited twice, a week apart and it’s been closed both times. Seems like some sort of water issue, said they are closed for a boil water notice. However, seems weird to still have that issue 8 days later.
We have been driving for about 10 hours and still have 4 hours to go. We stopped at this particular sonic tonight to feed our children before everything closed down as this is a very rural area. Pulling in at 9:45 they close at 10. I know it’s not ideal but that’s still 15 minutes that they have to serve the community. I say this as my dad is a restaurant owner and never turns anyone down even if it’s 2 minutes before close. A gentleman answered the call button and as we were ordering food a woman came on and to told us they were closed. Mind you they still had another 15 minutes. I just wanted to feed my kids so they could go to sleep. Extremely frustrated as the next town is quite far away and we have been looking for a place to eat for quite some time.
Ordered onion rings and a burrito. Took 20 mins. Only one order before me. Was i waiting on someone to die? On top of that. The burrito was hard on one side, and dark like it was dropped in fry oil. It was so disgusting I threw it in the trash and drove away. So avoid this place.
Sunday 8-6-23 5:00pm waitress was probably the rudest server I've ever had. Ordered 3 things and a drink, it took 30 minutes. Had to hit the button to see if she forgot about us. She came out, no bag no napkins, only 1 fork and a half closed box of chicken. Didn't look or say anything to us, rolled her eyes and walked off.
Worst Sonic I have ever been to! My daughter was hungry plus our trip was long. We ordered a large cheese sticks and a medium popcorn chicken. Total was 12.10. We waited for over 30 min. They weren’t even busy when we ordered. The longer we sat there the busier they got. Rediculous that we sat there that long. I finally pushed the button again and asked where our food was. The girl finally brought it out and I said what’s the deal. She said oh I forgot to bring it out. The drive through was really busy. Are you kidding me. Piss poor excuse for a sonic. Then our order wasn’t right. They brought a medium cheese stick and a small popcorn chicken. I was still charged $12.10. I pushed the button again and no one ever came on to answer me. I left after 10 min of waiting. Do not stop here!!! Horrible service and horrible food!!!
Where do I begin??? First, I tried to call in my order ahead. I was told they only took orders over the app now. I was just finishing up at work and didn't have time to mess with the app. Calling is faster and easier for me while I was trying to get the last of my work done. I couldn't make the app work on my phone for whatever reason. So I went to the stall to place my order after I got off. We placed our order and ended up having to wait a long time to get our food. We ordered a medium mozzarella sticks and paid for a large. But still only got the medium order. The burgers tasted like they just dumped salt all over the patties. The only decent part of the trip was our drinks and my milkshakes I ordered and maybe the french fries we got. And our carhop, Elisha, was over the top phenomenal!!!! She gets 5 stars. After getting great service and food recently in the last few weeks, I must say, I'm greatly disappointed in this visit. Oh, and I almost forgot, the mayo on our burgers was just a big glob of yuck in the middle of the bun. Hoping to get a better order next time.
