The service is excellent with warm, friendly staff and efficient service. The drive thru is wonderful and speedy. The new management has improved the overall ambiance of the gas station and Sonic. It’s quicker to stop here rather than at big gas stations and the restrooms are also very tidy. Highly recommended stop for those with kids as you can get food, gas, meet bathroom needs all within a very reasonable amount of time.

I was driving from Dallas to Houston and stopped here for a quick bite. The food hit the spot, the restrooms were clean, and the staff was genuinely friendly. It was a great, convenient stop during a long drive. Definitely appreciated the positive experience!

Great experience at Shell with a Sonic Drive-In. The station is clean, well-lit, and easy to access. I also love using Shell Fuel Rewards to save on gas. Super convenient to grab food while fueling up, and the staff is friendly and quick. Highly recommend!

A little girl Knocked my son's over and all his cool whip came off but the cashier who also made the drinks was quick to help and give him more cool whip for the top. Also my daughter was super excited that they gave her extra nerds for her drink! Great location!

When we moved here we were always getting food that wasn't right or they left items out of our order. We moved to Rice a little over 2 years ago. About 7 months ago we quit going because of the rude workers and Management! I filed a complaint and was asked to give them another chance. About 4 weeks ago, I heard there was new people there, so decided to give them another chance. I normally order online then pick up. The last 3 times I have been my food is hot, fresh and actually tasted real good! Friday night I finally asked the gentleman if he was the new Manager. His response is I go where they want me and right now I'm here! His name is Joe and he has made the night experience different for us! He is nice and polite and has made sure the food is fresh and hot!

Careful ordering the footling coney. If you get it with chili and cheese you won't see how dry and bad the hotdog is. Everything else is great. Definitely lacking in drink flavors. Service being 3 start, not because of the staff. But because as a sonic, it's lacking.

Fast food. You need wait a little bit more for the food in some cases they are short of people. The onion ring was may favorite but one time the flavor was horrible like a old oil. So never a again try this. The hamburgers is ok in some cases is so dry. The drive thru in Palmer don't work correctly so is hard somebody Thale your orden and more if you are Hispanic and have accent.

This sonic struggles with get your order correct. My last visit was just bad. I had to repeat everything I said more than twice. At 8:30 was told no ice cream for the rest of the night. I just thought they were closing soon only to find out 11 is the closing time. When I got my order the car hop repeated it to me and what she said was correct what was in the bag was wrong. When I called in to tell them I had the wrong food I was met with with additude. Just not a good way to end my day and had to wait longer for the fix. With no kind of an apology.

Ordered a large fry and I got a large fry container but only about ¾ (medium quantity) full

Better check your bag before you leave. Dont be in a hurry, theywont be. Edit: The problem is they clear the screen before they complete the order so they just forget the order. Yesterday they forgot I had even ordered and served 3 peoples food before giving me 2 drink. THE ONLY THING I ORDERED WAS DRINKS.

I think it’s time the Health Dept gets involved. This is the 3rd time we’ve bought ice cream from here and the ice cream tastes sour and disgusting. Something is rancid and wrong with this restaurant. My kids got sick after the last time. We have called to complain each time but nothing changes. Beware, only go here if you like food poisoning as a side to your desert.

We went tonight for dinner orders 3 #1s 2 tots and fries and large onion ring 1 large tea one large cherry limeade and a med. cherry slush. The tea came out med. but was quickly fixed. Our meals came out we first noticed we were the onion rings were missing. We told the cashier who wanted to argue with us and we pulled out everything in the bag to show we didn’t have it. Still she went and got another cashier to question us some more. Finally they said they would make us some. While we pulled out the stuff in the bags we noticed that the fries and tots were not cooked and soaked (more than normal) in oil. Told the first cashier who said well they come fresh out the fryer to the bag that why there is oil. I explained and showed her my bag was dipping with oil. She rolled her eyes and threw her hand up. The second cashier came to the window and said wow those are way under cooked and took them back and brought us some more. The first cashier was a female was very off putting and rude.

They were so slow! There wasn't very many people in the drive through (which was where we were) and i don't know how many people were seated inside but it was unreasonably slow. All we ordered was a drink and a shake and the lady taking the order messed it up when she repeated it. There was 2 people in front of us and we sat there for about 10 minutes and the line hadn't moved so we left.

Saw 4 people who ordered after me get their food first. Mind you there was 4 people behind the counter. Manager tells me they gave my order to someone else... ok,, then I waited an additional 10 mins. A quick fuel and food break delayed me for 40 mins! She stated she would refund me my money but never did. I will avoid from now on and so should you.

My food is consistently wrong, every single time I come here. It's the closest fast food place to my house, so from time to time I stop by hoping it will be better. Last week they gave my child expired milk, and today they completely messed up my order. They add WAY to much flavoring to their drinks. If I wanted that much vanilla I would have gotten a milkshake. Definitely never eating here again. Doing the survey doesn't help either. They say they will correctly replace your food, but it's still just as wrong as before, and if you point it out, they get attitudes with you.

We ordered a number 6 the all American hot dog and they gave us a number 8. We also ordered a large cheese sticks which comes with 8 pieces and they only gave me 6 pieces. Lastly, we ordered sauced popcorn chicken and they gave me the wrong sauce and didn’t even mix the sauce. It looked like they just slapped it on the top. Worst consumer service also.

My food was so gross we couldn’t finish it, I got a cheese burger with added bacon. The lettuce was old and the bacon was burnt, if it was even bacon, it tasted like chemicals. Made me want to throw up. My son said his chicken sandwich was nasty too. We ended up throwing them in the trash. I’ve never had any food issues with Sonic but I will never go to this Sonic in Rice again for sure.

i love sonic i always go for the drinks BUT terrible manager, i went yesterday and seen the manager henry yelling at another employee when he took my order he was rude and overall it’s just a bad representation of Sonic

If I could give less than one star I would. First off the prices for the horrible food is ridiculous. Then to top it all off the staff will read your order back to you then proceed to make the entire meal wrong. If you’re a diabetic DO NOT order a drink from them. I asked for a Diet Coke took a big drink and now have to deal with all the joys of that smh. Fire them all and close it down lol

As a frequent customer of sonic (at least 2 times daily) I have to say this is the absolute worst sonic I have ever been to! This location is closest to my home and I have learned that the morning crew and the morning shift manager are the most rude people I have ever dealt with, customer service is non existent, they are extremely slow, and seem to only be there to socialize with each other. The afternoon and evening crews have it going on. After my most recent visit to this location I will never return, I had to call corporate to get my money back for an order I never got. Manager was of NO help and basically said she didn’t know what to do. Horrible horrible customer service!!

Husband picked up order, staff was nice, but sadly food was cold. Could tell the cheesesticks,fries and the meat patties weren't freshly cooked. Ended up heating it up in the microwave.( this order contained 2 super sonic cheeseburgers,1 ATW, 1 with mayo 2 double bacon cheeseburgers, 1 with mayo and extra pickle, the other was ATW. 2 large fries, 2 large onion rings, large order of cheese sticks.) Drinks were fine.

Raw chicken in the middle of my crispy chicken sandwich. We were eating in the parking lot when I got about 1/3 thru my sandwich and bit into completely raw chicken. It was disgusting. I took it in and the manager didn't seem all that concerned or surprised. She did give me my money back and a free burger which I could only eat a few bites of before completely losing my appetite. It will be a long time before I can eat a chicken sandwich again and never from Sonic.

They tried their best but I waited over 15 minutes for a chili cheese coney hotdog i ordered online. It's chaos in there but they really tried. I hope this place gets help.

We just spent 5-10 min in the drive thru as as worker was rushing us through the order and being rude when we asked questions about sizes. We ordered 3 meals and 4 drinks. Get to the window for her to ask her what we needed. She said there was no order for us. Our kids asked what happened and where our food was as we drove away with no food. We explained she said we didn’t have an order and they responded yes we did. We are on the road and were not going to reorder due to time constraints and lack of respect/customer service considering she deleted our order in the first place. I’ve never experienced this before.

The person working the drive thru was not only incompetent but I couldn't understand him and he couldn't understand English. Never spent so much time in a drive through for a kids meal and tea

I try not to come here that often but this time was my absolute worst. I was cussed at by one of the workers and was given attitude by her for my time while I was there. After paying for my ice cream, she said you made my blanking night. I did nothing to make her upset, I treated her with respect as I do with everyone. I don’t know what I did set her off, but she was rolling her eyes and just being so unnecessary. I’ve been here numerous times and just thought this one was absolutely unacceptable. Besides that rude worker, Dana is an amazing worker and super kind and is one of the only reasons I still go to this place.

I think tonight was my last time giving them a chance to poison me. Cherry limeade slush paid an additional $0.80 for extra coconut syrup way Way too much lime. No coconut syrup. Definitely paid for it though. Got the chicken fried steak sandwich listed as a local favorite and it had something unidentified that was not edible on the sandwich. Looked like orange bristles from a broom or something. I asked the manager if she could identify what it was and she tried to convince me it was an onion peel, which it was not and then she tried to sell me on the idea that it was a tomato skin, also untrue. I think it's possible that what I found in my food was placed there intentionally and if not my food was prepared so carelessly that it's not fit for consumption. At first I felt like they disliked me because I always ordered on the app, then I thought maybe I don't tip enough but I always give a tip through the app even though they only have a drive-thru. So there's no one walking to your vehicle or doing anything extra .I feel like they need to get rid of some current employees or maybe just one certain employee that is bringing down the whole place. I don't see how they are still open after I looked at the other reviews on Google. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY... DONT EAT HERE!

I work overnight and wake up to go Pick up my toddler from grandma then school for my other 2 kids and usually have to buy my toddler food for the wait at school. And what is quick and easy? Fast food right. Unless it's the sonic in rice, if you're in a hurry don't bother coming here they'll take 15 minutes to take your order and another 20 before giving it to you. Today I went and was hoping for the best since I was the only one in the drive through line, but I was told to wait a second like usual, 2 minutes go by and she comes back on to say she needs another second. Meanwhile another car pulled in behind me, waited a bit, realized it was taking to long, and left, while I was still waiting for the longest second of my life before also reaching the decision to leave. And to them I'm just an annoying customer with no patience. As far as the food goes when I've had enough time to wait on them, more than once I've been given stale tator tots and fries. I hope Rice gets another fast food restaurant because Sonic definitely isn't worth it.

I've worked- and still do in the food industry for half my life and am floored by the way this sonic runs things. For sure will not be back to the Rice location.
