I had the pleasure of dining at Afrah Mediterranean Restaurant in Richardson, Texas, and I can honestly say this place is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. From start to finish, everything about the experience was exceptional. The moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a warm smile and a genuine welcome. That first impression really set the tone for the entire evening. The restaurant itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotless. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and comfortable, making it great for both casual dining and special occasions. Now let’s talk about the food — which is absolutely out of this world. Afrah offers an incredible selection of authentic Mediterranean dishes, from hot and cold mezza to hearty main courses and desserts. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can truly taste the quality ingredients and the care that goes into every bite. A special mention goes to Chef Joe. His experience and talent shine through in every dish that leaves the kitchen. It’s clear he has mastered the art of Mediterranean cooking, and the passion he brings to his food makes the dining experience that much more memorable. The mezza dishes were a highlight — vibrant, fresh, and packed with authentic flavors. Whether you enjoy classics like hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, or more elaborate hot appetizers, there’s something to please every palate. Moving on to the main courses, the variety was impressive, and everything was cooked to perfection. Tender meats, aromatic spices, and generous portions made each dish stand out. And then came the desserts, which were just as remarkable. From traditional Middle Eastern sweets to more modern offerings, Afrah has a dessert menu that will satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth. We are trying out different Mediterranean food restaurants. Afrah in Richardson didn’t disappoint. The waiter had a wonderful conversation with us. Food tasted good and came out fresh. The garlic sauce was really tasty. I also stopped and purchased some baklava after our dinner.

We went to Afrah Mediterranean Restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. There was so much food that everyone was sharing and trying each other’s dishes — we had such a fun time! I especially loved the warm, soft bread. Everything tasted authentic and made with care. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

Delicious food!! Came here hoping for the buffet but didn't realize it was only at lunchtime but left feeling like I just had a buffet meal! Got the combination shawarma with hummus and baba gannoush. the meat was so good and well made and flavored. It was great with the pita bread. I preferred the hummus over the baba gannoush which was a little sour and tart. My other members got the meat pie with a beef wrap which was super juicy. As well as the combination skewer plate which had beef and lamb chop. Everything was so good. I would definitely come back and one day I must try their buffet!

A Gem! From the garlic butter spread to top the warmest, straight out of a charcoal grill, Perfect bread. To the eggplant blended with unbelievable tasting fresh olive oil, to the sumptuous skewers. Thee dining experience is complete joy. A fresh desert bakery with the tastiest Baklava ever, so fresh and crisp. Feel in Love! Great atmosphere in a wide open nicely designed restaurant.

Food was good. I liked the Afra platter in the starter with different items I could try in one go. You might like some and not like few. But still a good deal. Shawarmas were not the greatest. But nothing to complain about. Fresh pita bread is served unlimited.

I went to Afrah with friends on Thursday had a great time. Excellent food n service. Went again today. Excellent food but was bit dissapointed. Service person informed us about some prices of add ons dish, when the bill came he charged us a diff price, also charged us extra for bread basket n said the prices changed today. Well u ve so much staff u cant train them for giving the customer the right info n keep them upto date. If u quoted the wrong price you should ve honored ur mistake. I was with my family for a great experience so didnt make a big deal nor approached the manager but honestly everyone please check ur bill before paying. I hope this doesnt happen again.

Lunch buffet is around $22 or $23 now. Its not an extensive buffet. The grilled meats are amazing, but the salads and veggies look atrocious every time I go. Salads are wilted or soggy... and spreads are minimal. Lots of dishes look 2-days old... but the fresh stuff is good. Desserts are good, too.

The food at Afrah Restaurant was good, and that’s definitely a positive. Another nice aspect was the staff’s attitude—everyone treats you with a smile, which makes the atmosphere welcoming. However, the experience was negatively impacted by a lack of transparency. The prices of two items were changed, and the servers did not automatically provide a receipt—you have to be careful and specifically ask for it. When we finally received the receipt, there were items added that we did not order, including a drink, even though we only had tap water. This did not appear to be an honest mistake.

Food is always good. Giving 3 stars because I came in with a group of 8 visiting me for the holidays. We wanted the lunch buffet, but one person wanted a Zaatar & cheese pie. One pie. The host said “either the whole table orders from the menu or the whole table gets the buffet, but not both, store policy”. Seriously? How hard is it to get one Zaatar and cheese pie to the table? We left. I decided to take my business elsewhere. The company should change this silly policy.

Shawarmas were not bad. They have significantly changed. We have been coming here whenever we visit Dallas. Our usual go to are the chicken and beef shawarmas. They have an amazing mint hot tea which is excellent. Their mint lemonade is great too. Lastly the fruit cocktail is a must try.

Got the chicken shawarma and gyro wrap. Chicken was dry and the onions in the gyro were cut large, which I thought could be better. Fries were good and the ice cream was tasty. Service was also good, just wish our mains were better.

We have been going to Afrahs faithfully over the last decade. However, this time we went we were given food that was not fresh and we could taste that there was a significant difference. We called the desk to share our concern and dissatisfaction and they said they would call us back with a solution. However, they never called back and when I called again to inquire they said the manager went on break and never called back. We've noticed that the quality of food has been decreasing, as the prices for food has increased. I was a faithful customer and now we are reconsidering even coming to this restaurant. We are sad to see how the customer service and quality of food have declined.
