I’ve gone here for years. I always order takeout. I call for pickup and its always ready when I arrive. Fair prices. The food is absolutely delicious. My favorite meal here is Breaded chicken with rice & beans. They usually put a small salad with the order & I appreciate that very much.

My cousin ordered catered food for her daughter's birthday. She ordered moro de guandules and baked Chicken. Let me tell you, the moro was excellent! Had such a good deep taste, and not even salty. It's perfectly seasoned. The same I can say for the chicken. They are very pleasing to the mouth. I would order these items when I get the chance! I recommend them.

If you’re Hispanic and don’t want to cook and have company or alone and want to eat great Spanish food Estrella Del Mar is the place to go to. You can dine in, take it to go or have it delivered. The food is amazing and the people that work there are very cordial. One of my favorite places.

I tend to order from here almost once a week, place is always great I sometimes eat in its clean, friendly staff, once made a mistake 3 times in a row and they changed it over and over again. No questions asked and actually seemed to care and asked if something was wrong with me (in a good way I mean) what I’m trying to say is they are great people and care about there customers!!!

My parents and I lived very close to here, so being raised in Ridgewood at the time, this became our favorite spot to hang out and eat. This restaurant is special, of course because the food is excellent and the boss is so friendly, but because my mother loved it. The owner and my mom were very close, so when a family event was taking place, we didn't need to ask where we were going. The last time my family was here with my mom was on her birthday, and now she is no longer with us. Sentimental isn't just a word for us when we visit here, but meaningful is what every lunch and dinner means to us now when we visit, although my mother is gone. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is curious to try some American, and spanish food. To build memories, or to learn to treasure them here is a place to begin. God bless you.

This is my favorite restaurant hands down!!!!! My go-to breakfast spot especially when I'm craving some mangu in my life. Such an authentic restaurant with a great atmosphere great staff and amazing food. The best food around! Save the subpar for a hangover -- spend a few more $ for really good food. If you order by phone, it's helpful to order in Spanish (if possible!). The weekends are v busy, but always worth it. People order the roasted chicken a lot, although I've never had it. Pictured is the arroz con camarones y frijoles: always flavorful, tails on, and some of the best beans PERIOD! Still gotta try the oxtail soup! Update: ordered pickup via GrubHub, service is still amazing, food is still amazing.

Its because theres a constant amount of customers .They cater to walk in's, Delivery orders and In house dinning.Family friendly with large space.The only negative is that it's extremly difficult to find parking any day after 5pm.

Good place to get some Spanish cuisine. The mofongo with pork is awesome. Lemonade is great. Fritos is banging. I recommend especially on a date. Although it seems like a family spot but you can bring a date. The back of the place is secluded at times.

Good food and semi good service. My usual go is their boneless fried chicken chunks or grilled chicken w/veggies and white rice it yellow rice and beans.They should definitely hire more English speaking waitresses especially since Ridgewood is becoming more gentrified by the minute. Parking sucksssssss…it will always suck in Ridgewood honestly. So if you’re gonna dine in I suggest in the summer..better off than have to freeze in the winter walking from your parking spot blocks always.

Walked by this place for years before trying it out. It didn't disappoint. Chicken, Beans and Rice were great. Lemon garlic sauce is a unique taste. Atmosphere was a little loud where we sat in the back... but I'm hard of hearing anyways. Service was pretty good and attentive, though some servers have better English than others... I mention that as nothing more than a fact of our single visit... (I don't expect everyone to speak English and we still had a good meal and good service.)

The chicken with rice and beans is amazing. The papaya smoothly is amazing! The girls are kind and very nice. Will defently come back. The chiken Marsala sauce is a little bland. The salad is on point. I'm a little disappointed, no spaghetti, but we can have French fries!

The whole meal was fresh and good tasting . Ordered beef monfongo and and order of small beans and soda . Reasonable price , seems as if it was made with love . Great that the business had nice customer service . Food took awhile to come ;yet the food was hot. Was not expecting it to taste that good will order again because it’s hard to find affordable fresh Latin food nowadays . I recommend a bite there . I’ve been ordering on doordash for a few months no issue. Today the food was awful chicken was so dry I couldn’t even eat it it was literally cracking apart. I didn’t even get the sauce that comes with the chicken. Huge let down if the chicken is old throw it away or eat it yourselves don’t serve it to a newly loyal customer smh. Great tasting food at affordable prices. However, Do not ever get the salmon. They charge you about 26$ and give you a serving of fish that is as below. I made two orders. It is almost like they picked the smallest fish in the ocean or cut the fish in half and used it for 3 2 separate orders. There is a Spanish restaurant on Myrtle. The fish is much bigger and seasoned well and you definitely get what you pay for.

Food I rate was a C level. Nothing special like I remembered. Service was a C as well. Once you receive your order is placed and food received you're forgotten about. Grade is Pending in the window that within itself should have made me go the other way. Was a great spot years ago. Below average Currently. I won't be spending my mula or anyone else's there anymore. SERIOUSLY!

Ordered $75 of food for delivery and the whole chicken was missing from our order. They did send another driver out. We also ordered the ceviche which cost $17 and what was delivered was 3 cut up shrimp floating in a very watery tomato liquid. When we asked we were told the ceviche doesn’t have fish in it yet the menu says “raw fish that has been marinated in citrus juice”

This is their chicken sandwich. Ordered on seamless. They dont even provide enough information in the discription either. It's dried chicken that'll make you choke and beg for water, inside old hard bread. $5 and change. Terrible. It's over priced. You can get the same bread at the supermarket - 3 for $1. And thus shredded chicken is not worth $4. Do yourself the favor and spend your money elsewhere.

They messed up on my order and when I called to complain about it, their reply was that they had repeated the order to me and for that reason I must have been in the wrong. After, they put me on hold and hung up and when I tried to call back they wouldn’t pick up the phone until I called from a different number. It’s sad because their food is not bad but their customer service was below average.

My husband and I were in the mood for authentic Dominican food. Stopped by this spot and gave it a try. We will not go back. The server was super dry just like the chicken and pork chunks we ordered. The only items we enjoyed was the frozen margarita and Presidente beer. We consumed 20% of our meals. Server offered to-go boxes but we declined because there was no way we were going to take that. My husband said that it tasted and felt like the chicken chunks was fried 8 times. The rice and beans were not good either. Maybe the roasted chicken is the get item because we did see people ordering that. Big thumbs down for us.

Ordered food at 4:28 and didn’t receive it till 7:04 on uber eats, when I called to ask about my order they caught an attitude with me like I was in the wrong. The food is good but the people working are absolutely horrible they are never in the wrong or are willing to make it up for there mistakes. I called at 6pm to ask for an update and was told it left and not even 5 seconds was told it will leave in 5-10 minutes. Called back at 6:38 and asked again for an update as it’s been over 2hrs and was told it’s on the way and doesn’t know when it will arrive. Was not offered any compensation or anything at all for the food being late or the horrible service at all. Either go in person to pick up your food or don’t even order

This is suppose to be the chicken in garlic sauce... the sauce is not fresh (taste like garlic powder) and obviously too oily. The chicken was rubbery and pink and I could not finish it. Bringing it back to them tomorrow. I am not paying for this or eating it...
