Recensioni di Babe's Chicken Dinner House Roanoke
The chicken fried steak is consistently good. I haven’t tried the chicken. The corn and potatoes are excellent. Salad is decent. The gravy works well with everything. The only minor issue is the soda, which isn’t name brand and doesn’t taste quite right. Still a solid experience overall.
This was a perfect family dinner restaurant! Very welcoming atmosphere; staff was great! We came in on a busy Friday night with a table of 10 and the hostess/manager didn’t even think twice before looking for an option for us! So many restaurants get annoyed with large tables. The chicken fried steak and tenders were delicious and we love the biscuits and corn. Very small menu, but it was great for us and the kids loved it! I loved that there were no TVs!
The food was great and the atmosphere was also great. Not very loud which is nice! We had 6 in our party and being the first time eating here it was a lot of food. They charge by person and I could have ordered food for 4 and had enough to feed the other people in my party. I will go back as the fried chicken tasted great as well as the sides. The prices are reasonable for what you get. We ordered two orders of fried chicken and 4 orders of chicken tenders as some wanted a different style of cooked chicken. It came with corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits and salad. We still had leftovers. But it was good!
By far, the best fried chicken around. Before going, we always fast to make sure we have enough room for the delicious southern sides. The biscuits are delicious. My only complaint (and it is a nit picky complaint) is that the music was slightly too loud.
Server was new and had hard time with a simple request to split a meal. Went into a lengthy explanation of having to charge us for a veggie plate (which we thought was a plate of vegetables) vs. saying there was a fee for sharing a meal. Weird. Glad to pay to share, but don't confuse the customer with saying it's a veggie plate.
Holy moly y'all! Came here for LS Fest Texas for work. Food was great, waitress (Emily?) was awesome, environment was great and the AC was refreshingly COLD! If you're looking for green beans like the other Babe's locations, they don't have them, but don't let that discourage you! 12/10 would come here again.
Listen. Theres only 2 things on the menu and they do them extremely Well!! They've got The- Best crunchy chicken in Texas! Make sure you put that honey on your biscuits. Enjoy! Super cool fact I love about them☝️ - they recognize their OG servers -Lauren was pictured here right above us!! Thanks Lo for awesome service!!💁🏾♀️
Great food and very attentive staff. Went to the original location with family from out of town. We had a table of ten but the waitress made it feel like a table for two. Food was 5 star as expected. I just wish that they Offered their world class green beans at this location. Highly recommend this chicken place.
We eat here every time we are in the area. The food and service are great.
Delicious food!! I have been to the Babe's Chicken restaurants in Sanger, Carrollton and here. Both Sanger and Roanoke locations are equally matched with their taste and quality of food (which is always AMAZING). This is the original location, so be prepared to only order from their original menu. I was a bit sad they did not have the smoked chicken option here. However, a couple bites into my fried chicken and I was incredibly happy again! For 4 adults and 4 kids (ranging from 2yrs to 8yrs) we shared 3 fried chickens and chicken strips. It was more than enough food with plenty chicken left over. I will always recommend and return to Babe's Chicken Dinner House.
If you have never been to Babe's you are missing an essential part of your life. Babe's has hands down some of the best fried chicken in the world. That is a bold statement but eat there one time and I think you will have no choice but to happily agree. The sides compliment and bolster the meal in every way. From the super fluffy and soft biscuits, to their mash potatoes and gravy, and creamed corn you will find yourself asking for two or three refills. Even the salad is simple yet elegant with a sweet house dressing. Now you may ask, how does the service compare to the food? Expect no less from your waiter or waitress they are all polite, timely, and seem to actually enjoy working for Babe's. They do not judge for the amount of chicken and mash potatoes you go to town on and will even offer to get you a biscuit to take home. I don't want to spoil everything as you need to eat there once to soak in the full experience. The only issue with Babe's is you will need to buy a pair of pants a size up from the copious amounts of delicious food you just enjoyed. Enjoy your finger licking chicken induced food coma once you get home as well. The moral of this long winded review is go to your nearest Babe's Chicken as soon as humanly possible and change your life for the better forever!
The biggest plates of fried chicken I have ever encountered. They just come waltzing out with them, along with a plethora of sides. Very good, just prepare yourself.
Babe’s is the champion of Texas comfort food! Don’t expect a massive menu. Babe’s food is amazing because they focus on what they do best; Fried Chicken, chicken fried steak, and chicken strips. The food is served family style with sides of mashed potatoes, cream corn, and gravy. Oh, and the biscuits are fantastic and all you can eat!
Yum! Always a treat to eat the best fried chicken. Arrive early or you will find a wait.
Awesome biscuits they are made from scratch and they taste so good! I really enjoyed the dinning room it has a very unique western style. I recommend this place as a must stop in the Texas roadtrips I take.
Oh my goodness. Some of the best fried chicken I have had in a long time. The sides of corn, gravy and mashed potatoes are no joke either. The chicken fried steak looked delicious too, but I barely made it through the four pieces of chicken. Oh and their biscuits are delicious too, but save stomach room for the chicken. You'll need it.
Babe's is my all time favorite chicken restaurant in the world. Celebrated my 40th b'day there while working in Ft. Worth area, and always make a point to return when visiting. As the other reviews state, the food is just glorious. Service is matched perfectly to the menu concept, and it's a home run. BYOB I believe. (Either choice is good, both outstanding).
This place beats Popeye or Chi-fil-A. $14.95 include one of the three types of chicken(tenders, bone in chicken or chicken steak) and unlimited salad, mashed potatoes, corns and biscuits. My personal favorite is the flavorful mashed potatoes and the drumsticks. The chickens are juicy inside and crispy outside. Will definitely come back.
For an out of towner like me, this place was so enjoyable. The service was incredible. Really fun waitress Amber! The food was extremely tasty and beyond plentiful! I really love the corn and the chicken fried steak was amazing. Cool atmosphere, with a lots of locals, always a good sign that the food and the price are probably right. The baby Rattlers scared the hell out of me lol.
Weirdest part of the adventure is no one ever tells you the price 😂 We were along for the adventure so we were game. We ordered chicken bone in and a chicken fried steak, with drinks. The sweet tea was on point and the pre game of biscuits were too good. The best chicken fried steak I have had - why so? The taste and the fact it was not a greasy mess! Leftover steak had the next day was just as good. The gravy was real honest to goodness home made gravy like I grew up with. The mashed taters were different but not bad...the rest I can not say, because I filled up. It’s worth the journey if you are any where near.
This is the original Babe's. So don't go in asking for a chicken salad or a steak cause you're getting fried food. This way you don't have to decide, you get fried chicken out chicken fried steak. That's the menu. It comes family style with salad, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy. Oh, feel free to bring your own alcohol.
As far as our family is concerned, this is the only Babes Fried Chicken Dinner House! The food is always spot on, no fancy recipes, kept original and simply perfect. The service is super friendly, and eager to take care of you. This trip was bitter sweet. It would have been Moms 80th Birthday, but she made her final trip home last year. We came in a tad early and requested her favorite table. And we're taken care of. Our server, Rylee (pictured), was absolutely perfect. Although she had several tables, she moved through them all beautifully. We were talking but sometimes somber, and Rylee asked a question when needed. My friend Kurt, it was his first time to Babes, even wondered where his cup of sweet tea went at least once. She was AWESOME!! Thank you Rylee, you made a hard day a little better.
First stop after I get off the plane. Love the bottomless sides. Homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, cream corn and the softest soda biscuits. You have three options. Fried Chicken, Chicken fried steak and chicken strips. You will never leave hungry. One of my favorite things about this place is all of their gear is a great prices. You can rock it babe's fried Chicken dinner House t-shirt for 15 bucks. it truly amazes me how crispy the fried chicken is and how tender and juicy it is on the inside. Babe's never disappoints. Food is consistent whether it's one day or 5 years later. Give babes a try you will not be disappointed.
The original location. Best fried chicken in the business. Fried chicken or chicken fried steak are the only entree choices. Both are excellent. Family style all-you-can-eat sides: salad with house dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. Never go home hungry. Can take home entree leftovers. Half a chicken is served to each person when ordering fried. Great atmosphere. Quick service. Just a really fun pace to visit. Signage on walls are fun ti read, makes you laugh. Pay bill at cashier as you leave.
Been here a few times and this is by far the best fried chicken in DFW. You get three entrees with two endless sides, buttermilk biscuits, salad and can drink it down with delicious homemade sodas and sweet tea. Really can't beat it for the price too. The staff is great and the old style atmosphere of this place really makes the restaurant more enjoyable.
If you haven't tried Babe's, then it's time for a dining experience that you won't forget. From friendly service and fresh homemade biscuits to giant chicken fried steak and unlimited sides. The chicken tenders are delicious and the dipping sauce amazing. This location does NOT serve green beans. They offer take home bags for any leftovers. Highly recommend.
BEST chicken fried steak dinner we've had yet! The mashed potatoes and gravy were so smooth and flavorful, too! Our server, Ava, was just so sweet and made sure our drinks stayed full and we had enough food. I just love her - we've had her before and she laughs at our jokes and makes her own with us! It's always a full house over there with a lot going on around us, but she makes it feel like it's just us, laughing and talking in my kitchen. This restaurant feels like home, and every time we go we always say that it was the best yet. The food quality is always consistent, and Miss Ava is always smiling! Thanks Babe's!
Yhis was my first time here. The food was amazing! We had the smoked chicken and chicken fried steak. I was a little disappointed they did not have green beans on the menu.
This chicken is delicious! Crispy skin, juicy meat and served hot. It's served family style with sides and biscuits. We traveled from out of state with another couple to try this restaurant and it was totally worth it. We are making plans to go back again!🍗
Not gonna lie....I've avoided this place for years because I assumed it was over hyped. 🙈 I was wrong! I REALLY enjoyed our meal. The food was fresh, the service was excellent, loved the oldies music....it was just a really nice night. Our server was so lovely! I also watched another server happily oblige a special needs customer when he asked her to dance the hokey pokey with him and it really warmed my heart. Good people working here. 🤍♥️💚 We will be back!
Kaiya H- provided exceptional service. Superbly sweet, friendly and full of smiles! Great service and great food! Didn’t have to wait very long. Great atmosphere and highly recommended asking for Kaiya H!!!! ❤️
Food here is ridiculous. I can’t even believe you get as much food as you do for such a minimal cost. If you are lookin’ for southern comfort food, look no further. The fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had. I have taken people back and they all agree that this place is a must if you are traveling to the Dallas area.
Second time eating here, I'm from OKC and was staying the night so we decided to hit up Babes before they closed. This time around we ordered the tenders. They were delicious especially after sitting in the car for a couple of hours and snacking on gas station food. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.
Eric, the manager is FANTASTIC! Thank you, Eric! I called Babe's in Roanoke the week of Valentine's to see if they could accommodate a group of 19 on February 14th. They do not take reservations but did everything they could do to help. Not only did my friend have a fabulous 47th birthday surrounded by his friends, every single member of the staff that encountered us was excellent and high caliber! I gave the compliment to Eric and he said, "I am blessed with them." I strongly recommend having a meal here!
I love Babe's food! But I don't eat there often because they're a bit pricey. Everytime I go, the price has increased. This time, they served one biscuit, my chicken fried steak was paper thin, and the price went up to 19.99! This makes me so sad! To be fair though, eating out is expensive everywhere. It's just hard to pay $20 for a chicken meal. My go to steak dinner is $16.99, or $13.99 for lunch.
Make sure you come hungry because you will definitely leave full and satisfied! Great food and fantastic service. Simple menu and family style sides that are endless and really good!
Babies is simply great, simple home style chicken or chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream corn and the best damn gravy you have ever had. Big biscuits with butter, honey and sorghum makes an awesome dessert... Top off with sweet tea and a nap afterwards, it doesn't get any better.
Love Babes! Been going here for 20 years. The best food is the fried food and the home style food, do not go here for the salad 😂 We had the sweetest young man server! I sound 80 saying that but truly so sweet and had to be in high school. Extremely polite and kind, even with our screaming baby the whole meal. Wonderful family run spot, perfect for families.
6-23-2022: I ordered the chicken strips and fried chicken with all the sides, mashed potatoes, gravy, cream corn, salad & biscuits with sweet tea to drink. Wow I must say the chicken was hot and fresh and very tasty, as well as all sides and biscuits and all tasted home made. The atmosphere is great, and is the restaurant is located in a cool downtown area. A must try restaurant for sure.
This place rocks. The food is always first class chicken and cfsteak. The sides are delicious! The employees were friendly and accomidating. Got us in out of the cold night air. Food was great & atmosphere very festive. A family favorite esp when we have out of towners visiting.
From top to bottom everything about this is perfect. I've been coming to this location specifically for several years and cannot recommend enough. Fast well timed yet polite service, free salad, biscuits, mashed potatoes, corn, and gravy. And perhaps the most simple while still perfect menu I've ever ordered from. You will never be disappointed with the quality of food just get the standard fried chicken and enjoy the ride.
Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Roanoke is still amazing and one of Texas’ best fried chicken destinations! I can’t resist the temptation to stop in when I hear it calling my name! I have eaten there every Texas trip and I will eat there again next time around. The sides: mashed potatoes, sweet corn, gravy, salad, and biscuits can’t be beat. The only drawback is; I tend to overeat when there, but then I challenge you to stop when you’re just feeling the initial satisfaction!
Babe's Chicken Dinner House is an experience you won't soon forget. Stepping inside is like stepping back in time, with the rustic, family-style dining and a bustling, cheerful atmosphere. The menu is simple and perfect: fried chicken, chicken fried steak, or smoked chicken, all served with a heaping side of classic country fixin's. The fried chicken is the star of the show—crispy, golden-brown skin gives way to incredibly juicy, flavorful meat. But what truly sets Babe's apart is the all-you-can-eat sides. A generous bowl of creamy mashed potatoes, a pan of hot-from-the-oven biscuits with honey, and a crisp, tangy green salad are delivered to your table as soon as you sit down. The sides are constantly refilled, ensuring you leave completely stuffed and satisfied. Service is always friendly and lightning-fast, and the community-table seating encourages a sense of camaraderie. While there's often a wait, it's a testament to the restaurant's quality and popularity. Babe's is more than just a meal; it's a nostalgic, delicious, and deeply satisfying tradition.
Not a typical full service restaurant. All Meals here are served Family style. Featuring fried chicken, chicken fried steak and buttermilk biscuits. The delicious comfort food menu is one of our family favorites. We have been coming here for birthdays and family celebrations for well over a decade. Highly recommended.
If I could give service more than 5 stars, it would be a 10. I knocked over the water glass and most of it landed in my plate. Our server was very nice and quickly brought me a new plate - and 3 extra chicken tenders since that was on my plate. Would be nice to have green beans instead of corn for a more visually appealing meal. A grilled chicken breast would be a nice option over fried or fried. A great place for families and groups with the family style service for sides- mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn. The biscuits are the best ever.
Family style eating. It was everything. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful. Was perfect. But the BISCUIT...? My goodness, if I could've taken a whole box of it, I would've. With the room temp butter and the honey drizzled on top..? yes! All the time, yes. The corn was great, the mashed potatoes were creamy. The salad simple but a fan favorite and the sweet tea Arnold palmer was fantastic. We will always make a stop at Babes when in DAL.
Babes is my go-to whenever i crave fried chicken. I've been countless times and i always leave happy. Their chicken tenders are fried to perfection and the mashed potatoes and corn are delicious. The service is consistently good. A couple gripes - the BYOB option is no longer allowed as of September... a few tables next to me brought in beer but were told to consume it outside. In my opinion, Babes should consider applying for a liquor license. With the amount of traffic they get daily, it would be profitable for them to sell beer and wine.
I have been ta two Babes locations but was encouraged to visit this, the original, location. It is nestled in the heart of Roanoke and is surrounded by several other restaurants on the ‘main’ street leading directly to City Hall. It is a quaint yet growing area. The decor is pretty cool and reminiscent of an open country barn with exposed rafters and all. In fact the space above houses quite a bit of history as it is used to commemorate employees with long tenures. At the five year mark, you get a placard with your name and years of service. They are placed on rafters facing the door. The rafter spaces with names facing away from the door are for employees with more than ten years of service. It’s pretty cool and our server Michelle had her own mentioning five years, and she is even a year past that now. It’s really nice to see a place that people want to work and stay, and where owners recognize the loyalty. The walls have playful sketches and the support posts are covered with old time intersection direction signs. The menu here is simple: fried chicken or chicken fried steak. Other locations have expanded their menu somewhat but here it is straight up simple. It is worth mentioning they do not even do the green beans here. No worries! We ordered both. The chicken fried steak was pretty good. The fried chicken batch I got seemed a little dry, especially the white meat. I hope this was just a slight over cook and won’t stop me from returning. The intro salad was ultra simple and appropriate so as to not overstuff you. The mashed potatoes were excellent and corn was just fine (plain coated with butter). We even went in for one refill of the mash! The service was great, Michelle was wonderful and informative, and everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. I do make it a point to notice bathrooms if I end up using it, and this place is on the high end of clean, giving you a positive feeling about the kitchen. Overall I’m glad I came to this location to see it, and enjoyed the dinner. I will continue to frequent their locations when given the chance.
Great chicken, best chicken tenders my hubby has Ever had. (He’s something of a connoisseur). Fresh mashed potatoes with smooth sour cream were delicious with/without the delicious fresh white gravy. The corn - haven’t had so good in years. Not a fan of the biscuits but they are fresh and light and go very well with the rest of the meal and the honey and sorgum provided. The tender meal was 7 tenders and the bone in chicken was 4 pieces (a half chicken basically). All were delicious with a good friendly server. Like the unlimited sides but wish it was chicken! We’ll be back.

I heard about Babe's for years from family and friends, then I finally got a chance to go this trip home. GOOD JOB!! I'm so glad I finally had a GREAT homemade old-fashioned chicken fried steak…
Nice place to go. Great chicken too. The menu is really limited to a absolutely minimums there is only chicken and two dishes u can choose. The sides with mashed potatoes, corn, salat and bred is also fixed. The serve no alcohol. There service stuff is super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and is definitely a visit worth. Go there and enjoy one of the best fried chicken u can get for your money.
I live out of state, but everytime we come to visit we go to Babes. The chicken, biscuits, corn and gravy are absolutely delicious. My only complaint is the mashed potatoes. They are so thick and way too dense. Feels like a rock sitting in your gut. The flavor is great, but just too thick for me. It won't keep me from coming back again next year when Im back in town again.
Good home cookin!! Was my first time to this location so was a little surprised the original location has a limited menu compared to the one in Carrollton. Only fried chicken and country fried steak I believe. Also no green beans for sides. Got the fried chicken and it was good but it tasted like they either cooked it too long or the grease was old. Was still good but not.as.good as the other times I've been to the Carrollton location. A little disappointing since I live out this way now but I'll probably be back anyway.
Food was great as always but our dinner felt very rushed by our waiter. We only got one side refilled, she never came back around again asking if we wanted any other sides refilled. Then she brought the check. Left us for another 5 minutes and came back around again and started removing plates out of our way but it just felt like she was trying to get us to get up and leave. It was very awkward.
This place seems very popular-it was crowded with a wait on a weeknight. The staff were Al friendly and we enjoyed their Hokey Pokey dance. Unique and the kids loved it. The biscuits and honey were delicious, but the salad tasted like pure sugar syrup poured onto lettuce and we didn’t care for it at all. We had all of the chicken options and they all tasted good, just a little on the greasy side for my taste. Overall, nice for a one-time visit, but probably wouldn’t return due to the limits of their menu, nothing new to try.
Generous portions and delicious food. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. I'm looking forward to eating here again the next time we're in town but NOT looking forward to the staff being forced to perform the Hokey Pokey. It's kind of cringe the company make them do that.
There are only 3 main items on their menu and we ordered the Fried Chicken, Chicken Tenders, and the Kid's Meal. The veggies are "bottomless", which means they keep bringing out salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, or corn as you request them. I first thought the price per plate ($18.99) was a bit high, but it's not so bad with all the veggies you want. If you want to share a plate, they charge you $10.99 for the veggie plate. The food was good and the staff was great. They really seem to enjoy kids here. Several little kids went up to the jukebox and the waitresses talk to them and even hold them up for a better view. We came with a large group. Since all of the chicken are served stacked on one large platter (family style), hopefully you like your friends because your chicken is all mixed together.
The food was awesome and fresh with a good old home style flavor. There is not a lot to choose from, and that can be a downside, however it makes for the truly amazing flavor of the few choices offered. The ambiance was nostalgic. Great place to reminisce and enjoy a lite trip to the past. This place is more than an eatery the whole area is an experience as much as a destination.

Was curious to try out this local hot spot. Came away very disappointed with the food quality and value for money. $15.99 for fried chicken !
Place is great. Go here if you don't care to get ranch sauce for the tenders, or a to-go drink for the road.
Be warned if you order a share plate you pay 19.99 plus 11.99 for second person and only get half the chicken for both (we got 7 tenders instead of 14). You are supposedly paying for the never ending veggie plate which is supposed to be free on regular order. However you are only saving $8 But you really are not saving because you didn't get the full amount of tenders. Makes no sense. Better to order you entire plate and take leftovers home.
Love how it’s family style. However the chicken this time was lacking in FLAVOR. We’ve visited another location and the chicken had more flavor. Not sure if we got it on a bad day. However the food was good and hot. We would go again, and hope for better flavor. For $19 you get 4 pieces of chicken and bottomless sides.

Let's start with a great atmosphere, but like many places that are "highly recommended" when traveling... this is a tourist trap type restaurant. The fried chicken, chicken tenders and chicken fried steak (only things to order) are nothing impressive. Their biscuits are very good. The meals include a Salad (with homemade vinegrette) which was plain, mash potatoes & gravy (ehhh), and creamed corn (tasted out of the can with a touch of seasoning). For what we spent...SOOO NOT WORTH IT. Go in for looks, but eat somewhere else, unless you simply "need" to experience disappointment. One and done our our list.
I went in on a Monday evening with one of my buddies. I had just ate before so I wasn’t going to eat at the restaurant, so I told the waitress then the waitress got the manager and then he started acting strange and making rude comments towards us and then he sat there in front of the door, watching us the entire time. gave me the feeling that he thought we were going to dine in dash or something, I am a teenager, but there was nothing we did that would’ve made us look like we were doing something their food is very good, but the staff was not on there game it today.
Food tasted good, but me and my friend both got sick (nausea, diarrhea) afterwards. Ordering was confusing bc it seems like if you don't order the meat (~$18), you will be charged the vegetable plate (~$10) which does not give you any additional food. There is no menu, the waitress tells you what they have (3 options: chicken tenders, chicken with bones, chicken fried stake). Decor and mood was neat. The staff performed line dancing while we were there.
Smaller and smaller Chicken fried steak each year - Tourist trap and not worth the money anymore - It's just not the same anymore - SAD
While the food is good, parking not so much. If you need handicap parking, take a pass. They have only ONE handicap parking spot, and their van is ALWAYS parked there. Closest handicap parking…
Okay food. The plate is taken away while you are still eating. Will eat somewhere else next time. Maybe a few tables for two will keep waitresses from rushing. I usually tip well.

we have been going to Babe's since it opened at $5.00 a plate Potatoes were real or mostly real. Chicken perfect not too salty and steak tender. Gravy homemade flavor. Creamed corn was real fre…
We ordered 4 meals (take out). We usually order two meals. We did not get double the sides. The ratio is totally off. We feel ripped off. We ordered four meals because we had people coming over. Now we don’t have enough sides. In the pic, right to left, salad, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy. Come on Babes. It’s unlimited if we eat in and you’re going to be this stingy for takeout orders?
With all due respect Babes' Owners. 😔 Only salt and pepper for flavor. It was my first and last time.
I would give them zero stars if I could. The service was terrible. We waited for about an hour and a half just to get a table. The staff was extremely disrespectful. They kept passing people with larger groups in front of us and were making excuses to seat us. This continued for a long time. When we finally got a table, we were so angry that we were ready to leave. This place is terrible. I wouldn’t go there if you don’t want to be upset. They have no respect for their customers.
This was not our first visit, but it was the worst. Our main complaint is that we were misinformed about the price and did not receive the bottomless sides refills (we had enough with ONE serving) for which we were charged an additional $11.99 (we were told $10.00 by our server) because we only ordered ONE 4-pc. meal to share. The chicken was disappointing—it was warm, not hot, lacked crispiness and overall tasted old. Service was minimal; we were only asked once about drink refills and not checked on until the bill arrived. Too bad, since we usually have an enjoyable experience all the way around. Good Luck, Babe's Roanoke!
The waiter way good but that’s all !!! it was horrible it was our first time there and definitely our last the food is greasy and the chicken is nothing special and then even if you don’t get seconds what they provide for you take leftovers in is a bag put mashed potatoes and corn in a plastic supermarket bag GROSS! No thank you not to say super unhealthy I expected more for the iconic chicken spot of Texas and when we expressed disappointment to the management he didn’t even care very disappointing $50 for Texas Slop !
My family and I waited for over an hour to get into the restaurant. We called to schedule a reservation and were told we couldn’t. After arriving, we were told to wait outside and watched as groups of people larger and smaller than ours showed up long after us and were admitted long before us. When we finally got inside, I realized what the issue was; we were the only non-white people in the restaurant. I was baffled at the archaic and racist treatment we received when we were excited to try the food. We walked out and I heard the host say to his server that it was our family that was problematic. Unprofessional and ridiculous.
