My friend and her 4 year old granddaughter took me for breakfast at Mel's. My first time there. My friend got double order of Biscuits and Sausage Gravy which was a huge order. It covered the large oval plate. Her granddaughter got an order of kid's pancakes with strawberries and side of sausage. She loved it. I got a cup of oatmeal with brown sugar, milk and a banana. I've never ordered oatmeal at a restaurant but it was perfect. I loved every delicious bite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MEL'S DINER

I visited with a large group of about 25. It was spur of the moment but Mel's staff was more than accommodating. The food was delicious from their soup to their lamb shank, from their salads to their meatloaf. It was incredible how much food you received for the price. This is a great diner with reasonable prices, great service and delicious food.

Our waitress Nicole was incredible! Right there when we needed her, checked on us regularly. Lovely personality!

I've been going here for many years. My husband proposed here. Our family is always treated like celebrities. The owner always asks for updates on the family, even the ones that don't come with us. The food is great, hot and service is quick.

The food here is ALWAYS good. Mel’s is a great place to go if you don’t know what you want to eat and don’t want fast food but still don’t have all day. It’s pretty quick, took my mom and I about an hour total including waiting time eating time and sitting and chit chatting. The restaurant is VERY clean and the food is quality. If you have special instructions they always get it right and their blue cheese dressing is 10/10

First time here. Took my granddaughter for brunch. Very good experience and the food was great. Busy at noon, but didn't have to wait to be seated and the meal was on the table quickly.

Very nice place to go and relax and enjoy a GREAT MEAL. Staff was very pleasant and friendly to. I took my 9 year old Granddaughter and she just loved the place and enjoyed the experience. I was however taken in by the prices, a bit steep. Not sure if it's because of Covid-19 and bouncing back from this horrible pandemic. If this is the case, I completely understand. You have to try the Biscuits and Gravy, very flavorful and irresistible. My Granddaughter had a full stack of Pancakes that filled the platter and covered with fresh Strawberries and buried inside was a mounds of Chocolate Chunks. We both had Milk Shakes that were really good. Regardless of what the prices were, we still went back and had breakfast again. The wait staff are always very attentive to your needs and checking to make sure everything is good for you and to see if there is anything else you may need. I know we'll be going back on more than one occasion. It's well worth it.

Fantastic place. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The food is spectacular and the prices are decent. My favorite breakfast is the Italian skillet. Delicious scrambled eggs mozzarella cheese Italian sausage and Rich potatoes. Can't go wrong. Awesome place to bring family and friends.

Mel’s is a calm place but can become busy with their weekend mornings b/c of its fair prices, good food, and friendly service. I ordered their triple decker BLT, and was super happy about it. They made sure it was a thick sandwich with plenty of fries. Fries were a little over cooked for my liking but still very good overall. Get their milkshakes! In addition to that, the diner is very clean and kept up very well :)

Mel’s is a stable of Greece. One of the few family owned restaurants left. There’s a great selection of food choices to pick from on menu. Plus daily specials. Food is delicious, hot and large portions in my opinion. Atmosphere is cozy and staff is very friendly. You’re greeted with a warm smile & hello as soon as you walk through the door. Mel’s is a restaurant that’s been able to stand the test of time allowing generations to enjoy their food. Now I get to bring my Granddaughters to Mel’s.

Definitely come here! [Not sure why Google says there’s no dine-in, because there definitely is, at least as of Aug 18, 2020]. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, but our awesome server was able to bring out a bit of everything — I got 1 pancake, 1 egg with cheese, side of mashed potatoes with sausage gravy, and sausage patties. Everything came out quickly, fresh and hot, and so delicious. The diner itself has a great atmosphere, and is well kept. Overall, this was a great place to eat.

The clam chowder was awesome, the burgers were very good and cooked perfectly. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Wait time for your food is lower than any other place I've been! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I come here very frequently during the year for breakfast or lunch because it's right up the street from the school! The ladies have always been nice, funny, and a ball to hang out with a little bit. School is out so I brought my daughter today! She wanted an adult plate, but was thrilled when she saw that she doesn't finish the child size! The portions are huge, plentiful, and delicious! I've never had a bad meal from there. Over the years, they have become family and I am happy to know that what they do brings smiles to people's faces everyday! The quintessential diner experience! Super efficient service, happy buzzing atmosphere of satisfied customers, and delicious food made to order quickly despite the busy time! We all 3 had country fried steak perfectly cooked, tender inside and crunchy crust, with gravy which was perfect consistency and flavour! Perfectly over easy eggs with 2, and for mine loved that the scrambled eggs were real (not powdered) and everything was served piping hot, even the nicely buttered toast!!

Great spot to stop for lunch/ afternoon for sandwiches/soups. Corn beef was made in house. Good dessert menu.

I've been going here since probably 2013. Used to go like on e a week. Same employees for the past decade, food comes out conisitanly delicious and fast no matter when we go. Family atmosphere. Only complaint is that they're always so busy now it's hard to find a decent parking spot! They really know what they're doing though I can always depend on my favorite diner!

Me and my man love to try different spots, and it was worth it. The portions are big, the prices are good, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I had the beef on Weck and it was so good and moist! The au jus was very tasty and the right amount of horseradish top the dish perfectly. The side of tater tots was nice and crispy!

Had beef on weck with au jue and coleslaw . Everything was tasty. Only complaint would be that the weck roll was buttered and that made it soggy. Roll should be served dry so the au jue would soak into the roll. Coleslaw a little bit on the sweet side but not complaining prefer mine vinegar based. Great place to eat

The is one of our favorite places. The sense of community we have with the wait staff is so wonderful. It’s like coming home to family each time we go. The food is on the plus side of traditional diner food. We routinely get the turkey bacon club, the fish fry, burgers and chicken breast sandwich, fries, tots, and the chicken souvlaki. We love the chicken salad sandwich and the Salisbury steak special, those are really great. But while the food is really solid, the wait staff make this the best! We love you Mel’s

Very good locally owned. Owner is friendly to all her regulars and new comers, and I haven't been there a day she hasn't shown up either already working, or eating with her family at the diner. Good old school restaurant menu, fantastic prices, and never a single issue with the food or staff. Absolutely highly recommend, we go almost weekly with the family including a toddler and newborn.

Found Mel's by mistake and we really liked it. It was super fast service, with private booths (plexi dividers between) which made it cozy and quiet. Had a Trash Plate and the Mac salad was very good. UPDATE- Just had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was really good! Nicely breaded and a super big wrap. Mac Salad reigns supreme! I’ve known about Mel’s Diner ever since I was little, as I grew up in Greece. I also used to work at the ESL that’s across the street from them as well! The corned beef hash is awesome, flavorful and has a really good texture! (I’m really picky about my corned beef hash! I hate soggy hash!) Service is prompt and friendly. Owners are hands on, involved, and truly care about their people. They accepted me right into their Mel’s family. That means a lot to me! ❤️

They remodeled quite nicely... The food is great quick easy bite super convenient!! The staff is nice friendly on point and attentive to your table.... All the things I look for when I'm dining out. My food was excellent. Delicious egg burger loved it. Wife however asked for a patty melt and got a Ruben instead, when she got her melt it didn't come with the dressing. Everything got fixed quickly so still a good eat.

It's surprisingly modern inside and a nice and well designed space. It felt comfortable. Their chicken and rice soup is to die for! I absolutely love it! Even got one to go! The service is always great and everyone is friendly and actually seems to have a personality. It's not sterile to interact with everyone which is a nice change from some places around town. The interior is stylish and clean. The decor was cool and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the frittata which came with a side of toast. I chose white and enjoyed the toast (which was lightly grilled, sliced bigger than average, and perfectly buttered). The frittata, which came out very quickly, was full of yummy potatoes, green bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese. The sausage was plentiful and the portions were large. The only drawback was that it could have been just a bit warmer. I also really enjoyed the tomatoes, but I feel like a lot of folks may not have liked so much (or any) of them in the dish. My boyfriend ordered the meat lovers skillet with bacon, ham, and sausage and he loved it! The diced bacon was crisp and flavorful. We hope to return.

We were so excited to dig into our dinner that I forgot to take pictures. oops. I did snap a pic of our delicious "appetizer", the oreo cake. so good! Waitress was super sweet and kept the coffee filled. We ordered the eggs, homefries, and biscuits n gravy. plus a full stack of chocolate chip pancakes. between the two of us we still couldn't finish - we were too full! the home fries were really great and the eggs tasted fresh and buttery. the biscuit was soft and the gravy, which I rarely enjoy at restaurants, was really tasty. we are excited to try this place again during breakfast hours as they have an expanded breakfast menu.

Clean, nice waitress with good home cooked meals. We visited at 4pm for a dinner. My wife had the chicken rice soup (homemade) and I had a braised lamb shank over rice.

Don't get to go often but always enjoy when I do. Bunch of lovely ladies working there and the food is fast and really good. I've been to a few diners on the road and this is still one of my favorites.

Uncle Mel's delivers a fantastic "down home" experience. Unc will never let you run out of mud at this joint. Diner patrons call coffee mud, iykyk dummies. Either way, the food here arrives fast and piping hot. Take a moment for yourself, and stare with awe at the beautiful dessert case, ripe for the pickings and lickings. Overall this was a mediocre experience. I have been here before and had great breakfast experiences, but this was definitively a diner food lunch. Firstly, the carbonation was out in the soda fountain, which we only found out AFTER having ordered sodas. When brought to the servers attention they informed us that they knew about it and had the handyman on the way. If you know something will not be up to the expected standard please let people know ahead of time. Secondly, the entrees were decent. Nothing to write home about, nothing truly heinous to complain about. Tomato slice looked funky on one of the burgers enough so someone who loves tomatoes pulled it off and wouldn't eat it. The Caesar Wrap was again okay. Personally I would have preferred a bit more sauce throughout instead of pooled all in one half. I will say though, the fries and Onion rings were both on point. Some of the best I have had at any diner. So kudos on that. The server was overall attentive to the table needs and checked in regularly while managing a couple other tables. 4 stars for overall experiences at this location. If it had been the first, or only, time I went this would be a three star review as it was decidedly mediocre.

22 February 2024 The food was good and so was the service, although refills were needed. The seating was decent, but the booths were a little snug and could of used some more space between them. My legs aren't short, so having extra space would of been nice, making it comfortable.

Living in florida, it's difficult to get breakfast after 2 pm since most places that serve it shut down by then.. I haven't had breakfast for dinner in a long time. I had a spinach and feta omlette and added the lamb meat ....I was in heaven. 😀 Others in the party also ordered French toast (which were good but lacked in appearance), standard breakfast meal, chicken ceasar wrap, and a burger. We wanted dessert, but unfortunately, they were out of many of the items. Our waitress was super nice! And the prices were reasonable.

The food is very good and the variety of daily specials. The waitresses are poor. One was rude, another was great the first time the second time she had her back to us flirting with some guy. The third one brought me fish when I ordered lasagna and wanted me to keep it. I only go back for the food. UPDATE: We have been going back for several months now. The service has improved, they now recognize us. Lisa is our favorite waitress. The Mile High Pie is so good! Several months later and many more lunches and dinners at Mel's the waitresses have improved a lot!

The food was ok, nothing exceptional. Triple fruit french toast had very little flavor... maybe adding some more vanilla to the batter would help.

I asked her well done home fires and they were burned to a crisp or just really old and triple cooked I couldn't even bite through some of them. The waitress was very nice and brought me a new order that looked boiled unseasoned and almost raw but they tasted fine. The wraps that we got were mostly dressing with speck of tomato and lettuce, chicken was a little on the dry side. Overall not super impressed. Could be enough day, I'll try them again.

The food would have been good if they used fresh mushrooms in their skillet. Canned, sour-tasting mushrooms throughout the skillet completely ruined it. They were bad even for canned mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms might be a little more expensive, but they are just as easy to work with as canned. I would Not being a hurry to go here again because I love mushrooms in my breakfast and these were like sour slugs. Absolutely disgusting.

The service was good, but the food was terrible. We ordered some chicken tenders, a Cajun chicken platter, and a Cajun burger. Burger was dry and tasteless and burnt. We asked for a Cajun sauce and server said all they had was a dry spice. The chicken platter was halved chicken breast with a dry rub on the chicken, it was dry and heavy on the paprika. A side of veggies consisted on boiled baby veggies like the frozen packets from Wegmans. Chicken tenders were heavily breaded, very little meat inside. $70+ for dinner and the family went home hungry. I made the kids some ramen when we got home. Only plus side was that service was good, our server looked like she wanted to apologize for the food. The kids liked all the Halloween decor, atmosphere was nice.

Take out beef on weck was inedible. The meat was tough, stiff and had a chemical odor and taste. The au jus was just shy of opaque and had unidentifiable clouds floating in it. The kimmelweck was the consistency of Wonder Bread and if it had 6 caraway seeds stuck to it that is generous. The bottom half was so soaked with liquid it was almost paste. 2 bites and this mess went in the garbage. The french fries, however, were light, piping hot, crispy and plentiful.

Avoid this place at all cost! Have eaten here several times over the past months. Sometimes the food is (just) okay & sometimes horrible. Yesterday's meal was total garbage, to say the least. The fish fry was not fit for human consumption (brought most of it home & the cats wouldn't even touch it). The home fries were very old and nasty. Anyplace with this kind of inconsistency isn't worth the gamble of how the food is going to be on any visit. Sorry I had to downgrade this review, but people need to be warned. Over $30 for a lunch for 2 and couldn't even eat most of it. FYI - I believe a lot of these 'rave reviews' are staged & not necessarily accurate.

My first one star review. My wife and I arrived at 1:20 and were promptly seated. Eight minutes later a party of 3 was seated opposite us. The fourth arrived shortly after and the waitress (Amber) brought drinks and asked what he was drinking. Then she turned to us and asked for our drink order bit I told her the host had taken it. In fact he was right behind her. She walked away and took orders from another table (out of sight) then returned to the party of 4, took their order and turned it in to the kitchen. When she finally asked if we were ready to order I told her we had been ready for 10 minutes and asked why she helped the party of 4 first. She started to defend herself but when she told me that they were seated first my wife decided that was enough. I told her we wouldn't be ordering and got up to leave. Another waitress asked if we were okay and I started to explain but Amber chose to interject. I am generally a patient man and well aware of the issues with staffing restaurants but I will not be treated like that.

Ordered buffalo chicken wrap. Chicken was dry , tasted nothing like buffalo flavor. It was inedible and went right in the trash. The fries were good. Definitely not worth the 13.99 plus.

Took my daughter’s here for breakfast yesterday. The food was horrible!! I ordered steak and it tasted like the meat had been left out and went bad. I was afraid of food poisoning so I sent it back. My daughter ordered waffles, they were hard as a rock. Almost as if they were cooked the day before and reheated. The sausage wasn’t cooked all the way through. Hash browns was hard. Only thing that might have been edible was the eggs. I was very disappointed. It looked like a nice establishment.

went out on a limb to try this place instead of our usual Ezzys (highly recommend) and i wish we didn’t. nearly puked at the table after some of my stuffed french toast. no idea what they did to it but it’s doesn’t matter bc i’m never coming back. left so fast.
