Prime Catch Restaurant

I've been here many times in the past year with both small and large groups, and by myself, and I and my friends love it! The food is great, mostly seafood fare, but also plenty of great meat/chicken dishes, and always uniquely prepared(I had a hazelnut crusted Salmon with a Frangelico reduction over rice the other night, I was skeptical at first, but once I ate it, it was absolutely delicious). I usually fall back on the crab cakes or their fresh shellfish, but there hasn't been a dish i didn't enjoy there yet. They have a well stocked bar and wide variety of wines on hand to enjoy. The service is always spot on, whether its a busy night or a quiet night for drinks, and the owner and staff have always been friendly, conversational and make the experience that much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a good date spot, a place for a quiet meal alone, or just some cocktails and tapas, go enjoy yourself at Prime Catch.

I had a horrendous experience in this restaurant on this past Friday 01/18/2013. I purchased two gift certificates from the NAPW and I had dinner at the prime catch, everything was fine until I proceeded to pay the bill. The manager took only 1 gift certificate which was O.K. for $25 dollars which made our balance approximately 60 something without a tip. The manager refused to take my credit card, stating that when you have a gift certificate , you have to pay cash, which obviously I did not know , otherwise I would have been prepared. So hear we are , the two of us with $50 in cash and a credit card , which he would not take either. So he suggested I go to the corner ATM machine, which I was willing to do . My friend would not let me go alone on a Fri. night at about 9:30 PM. Keep in mind the moron manager, did not ask for my credit card or ID to hold. He proceeded to run after us on the street to see if we were coming back, how embarrassing! We did come back 3 minutes later with the balance of the check, he proceeded to make a scene in front of all the people eating at the restaurant, and stated loudly that if we did not come back , our waiter, Michael who insistently was adorable, young and terrific, would have had to pay our bill , out of his tips . My friend who was with me owns a store around the corner and told him she would tell everyone in RVC , not to eat at this restaurant. He said he did not give a dam. What a disgusting experience and I do hope the owner finds out about this incident and fires his butt. Disgruntled customer

Mediocre food, very over priced. Beligerent bearded manager yells at wait staff, causing them to tremble. Very embarrassing and ruined the entire experience of being in a nicely decorated restaurant. Will not return.

My girlfriend and I went there 4/18/14 we got there at 8:15, we were seated right away. There were a few tables open. We waited 12 minutes and no one even came to our table, no water or bread, nothing. I eat out a few times a week and never got ignored like this. We got up and left. We went across the street and down the block to DoDoci where my favorite waiter Tony couldn't do enough to serve us. I will never go back to Prime Catch..
