One of the very few unforgettable restaurants here outside the city. They have the BEST lentil soup and gyros, not to mention the pleasant staff & owner. MUST VISIT IN ROSLYN!

Place is great, owner is super helpful. In town for a couple days and have been here twice. Food is not overly seasoned either.

I haven’t even got to my main course yet here and it is incredible. Wow….. just wow…. Everything on the menu will blow your mind. Highly recommended.

My family and I have eaten here often when we visit. The food is always excellent! Last night was so special as our NY family member turned 97 last week so we all had dishes that she recommended. The beef was so tender, lamb was wonderful as well as chicken. They have a special lemon chicken soup and a lentil soup as well. So good! I’ve eaten at other Greek restaurants in Birmingham, AL and Shish Kabob Grill has the best hummus that I’ve ever eaten. Ditto for the rice pudding! This is a family owned restaurant and this family loves their clientele and it shows. Service is impeccable! I enjoy everything about Shish Kabob Grill!

What a great meal. We stopped in for a light lunch and left thoroughly stuffed because we couldn't stop eating! Everything we ate was delicious and the service was great. Everyone there was friendly and attentive.

Phenomenal Mediterranean cuisine. The chicken Shish kebab dinner or the Chicken Kofte dinner are my Go-to’s. Each dinner is complimented with your choice of soup or salad. I stop by in once a day to enjoy myself a meal. Out of 10 I would rate this restaurant a 11. Yes it’s that good!

Shish kebab grill has the freshest best tasting Mediterranean food in Nassau County. It has a warm and family like experience which makes you feel at home. Definitely recommend it to anyone that wants a quick healthy bite!

It was a pleasure to come to this restaurant. If you are in the market for a gyro (kebab) sandwich, this is the place for you. The meat is cut into generous portions, the pita is nice and fluffy, and most of all the employees are warm. Thank you, I will return again.

Decided to drive 5 extra minutes to try a new Greek restaurant because the one in our town has just gone too far downhill.Got a very very pleasant surprise at Shish Kebab Grill. Father cooking, son in front and delicious home cooked food. We tried a few things to see if this could be our new 'Greek" place - spinach pie(xclent),babaganoush(very good),greek salad with chicken kebab(fresh,generous,very good),lamb shank(home run-try it), the rice and peas(loved by my wife who is not generally a rice fan).we WILL be back!

We love this place. The Iskandar kebab platter is by far the favorite of both my wife and me. It is the spinning lamb meat, a flavorful tomato paste, pita pieces, and white sauce. Your order comes with a really great and fairly large side salad. Each order is enough food for 2 very filling meals. We ordered delivery at 740pm on a saturday, and the delivery guy was at my house 21 minutes after i called (i checked the timestamp on the phone call i made to place the order)!! Wow! We are huge fans!

He also brought us warm pita with spreads and water for everyone. The portions were generous, perfectly filling, and absolutely delicious. Soft, pleasant background music added to the atmosphere - Jordan mentioned it had Italian vibes, which we really enjoyed. He checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was okay, which made us feel well cared for. We visited on a Sunday, so parking was easy and free, though I’m not sure what weekday parking is like. Because the space is small, it may not be ideal for large groups, but it seems perfect for parties of 1, 2, 4, 6, and possibly up to 10 people. It’s also worth mentioning that they offer catering services and food delivery within a certain distance, which is great to know for future gatherings or events. Although the menu was limited due to their recent reopening, it sounds very promising. Based on the excellent food, service, and overall experience, I am happy to give this place 5 out of 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

I had the chef grill with substitute of chicken with donner and grilled vegetables instead of rice.The lamb was nice and lean. Everything was excellent! Will be back for sure. My son had the chicken gyro and it was verybtasty.

Easily the best Mediterranean restaurant in the area. For that matter on all of Long Island! Spectacular food in a cozy, clean setting. Served by the loveliest family at a reasonable price. When you give Shish Kabob Grill a try you will have no regrets! (5*) Oh! I almost forgot…municipal parking is close by. 😃

I ordered take out today and the food was simply delicious. I ordered the filet mignon sandwich, and they were not cheap with the meat, big chunks of perfectly cooked filet mignon with each bite, lots of nice fresh veggies and the pita was warm and fresh. It was a large sandwich but not heavy on the stomach, really good. I also ordered the lentil soup, which was great, it’s puréed and it tastes like a great combo of tomato soup lentil soup, onion and garlic. The food came quickly, and was hot and fresh, considering I am about a 20 minute car ride from the restaurant that was impressive alone. Very content customer :)

The red lentil soup was perfect. I wasn't that impressed with the chicken kebab but the meat was tender, just a little on the bland side. The staff was very friendly and while waiting for my food (I got it to go), I had a conversation about kısır. I intend to try this place again and try other items on the menu.

I don’t know if we ordered wrong or what, but the food quantity was totally a dealbreaker for me. We ordered the mixed platter combo and the server told us it’s going to be enough for two people to share but it wasn’t even enough for one person.

Shish Kebab Grill is a decent option for a casual meal. The non vegetarian food was flavorful as shared by my husband, however, the vegetarian food didn’t meet the mark. The server and his service was the only highlight from the night. Overall, it's a decent choice, but not a standout.

I am not sure what has happened with this restaurant but the quality of the food has really gone down hill. I tried to give this place one more chance as it’s a neighborhood and local restaurant to us. However, after this last experience I am pretty fed up. My fiancé and I ordered a chicken gyro Greek salad. We asked for everything on the side and the chicken to be well done. Well.. the chicken basically looked undercooked (which I couldn’t eat) there was barely any feta cheese in the salad, the dressing was dumped into the salad making it soggy and took over 45 minutes to come. I will say I called and complaint and they send me “WELL DONE” chicken gyro to accommodate. I do understand that mistakes happen and am not the one to complain but I would say if you order from this place don’t be surprised if you are over paying for Turkish style food. I would recommend sitting down in the restaurant and you will get a better experience..

We ordered 3 meals to go around 8:45 pm last week. The french fries were terrible and the gyro meat was very dry. We did not enjoy this food at all and will not go back. I don't know if it has to do with the fact that they were close to closing but still paid for food we feel should have been good.

Really bad experience, frozen food warmed up and served. Please do not waste your time and money.
