Visited on a Thursday evening and they were SWAMPED. I placed an order online and opted to pick up my order inside instead, where there was also a line. I do wish they had an area designated for online order pickups though, but overall the line moved at a steady pace. I am very impressed with how collected staff remained as they moved swiftly to fulfill all of their orders. They didn’t begin fulfilling my order until I let them know I was picking it up and had it ready within 5 minutes if not less. I definitely appreciated their speediness and friendliness throughout their rush hour! Definitely recommend!!

I asked for food to be fresh. I was told it is. But the okra is terrible. Inedible. I really wanted the okra fresh and would have waited. For the obscene amount of money i spent this is very disappointing.

I've visited this particular Golden Chic dozens of times because of the location and convenience. Unfortunately over the last few months quality and service has plummeted. Today I ordered a 3 peice strip meal. Not only was the order incorrect but the sides and gravy was piping hot, I couldn't consume for several minutes. The chicken was dry and tasted like it sat for hours, same for the rolls. Very disappointed in the downturn of this location. It may be time ti take my business elsewhere.

They lack the understanding when giving mashed potatoes, that I might need a spoon to go with it. You get charged an additional 4 dollars for fries (that they don't give you). Ask seasoning packets and you won't get those either. The one in wylie has no issue whatsoever,never returning to the Rowlett location

Sign on door says closes at 10 pm. We arrived at 8:30 to find door locked and "workers" inside motioning to use the drive-thru. Wednesday night....sign on door didn't indicate store closed at 8:30 pm. Shrug.

My 2nd bad review. 1st review I was not given any plastic ware with a takeout order. Today in 2026 I returned. I specifically told Ezekiel that I wanted gravy, he said it comes WITH the meal like he was doing me a favor, and I asked for honey mustard, he said he’d give me some. I get home and there is NO gravy OR honey mustard and the gravy comes with it? Spoke to him on the phone, mind you he IS the manager and said he forgot to put it in. He apologized but omg he’s young and shouldn’t forget. This was our dinner!! I will not return

I visited Golden Chick Rowlett Lakeview, 9103 Lakeview Parkway, around lunchtime and had a very disappointing experience. The food was greasy, overcooked, and clearly had been sitting under a heat lamp. The roll was hard as a rock, the fries were limp and oily, and the overall presentation was disgusting. I ordered chicken tenders for a kids meal and a six-piece wing combo, and the food looked so bad it nearly made me sick. I ate a few bites of the chicken and fries and immediately felt queasy. When I went back to address the issue, one employee rudely said, “Just give me everything and I’ll give you your money back.” I explained that I only wanted fresh fries and a fresh roll, not a full refund. He shut the window and got the manager. The manager did refund the full amount, but the situation didn’t improve. When I asked if I was still receiving the fresh fries and rolls, he said yes and handed them to me in a separate bag. After I said thank you, he slammed the window shut, which was extremely disrespectful and unnecessary all that food I dispose in the trash.🗑️ Between the poor food quality, unprofessional service, and lack of basic courtesy, I will never return to this location. If you decide to visit this Golden Chick, check your food carefully before leaving. Make sure it isn’t overcooked, greasy, or poorly presented. This location seriously needs improvement in both kitchen standards and customer service.

Will NEVER spend another dime at this location. I asked for a refund because they tried to charge me for an additional item. When I pointed this out the man and young Lady Sophia advised me the first charge had been refunded and charged me again for the correct amount. I called to advise this happened on the 9th to request a refund as Both went through a couple of days later because I was waiting for it to clear my account. I called advised all my information. I received NO REFUND and not even a call back. I will NEVER come back to this location and really questioning even spending another penny with a franchise that will do this to their customers. In this economy EVERY PENNY COUNTS. SO DISAPPOINTED.

****POOR SERVICE**** the manager at this location has now lost a great customer along with my entire family. I ordered a wicked wing combo, family size jalapeno poppers, okra, and rolls. the manager did not take my order, however he was the one to deliver it out the window. I asked for 4 ranches and 6 wicked wing seasonings. He said he put some ranch in the bags but there was not one ranch inside. When I told him there was no ranch in the bags he asked to see my bags so he could check himself . I didnt feel comfortable handing my food back for him to check, so I then opened up all the bags and showed him. Instead of him honoring my request seeing that I made a purchase of a meal, a large side and regular rolls he wanted to charge me for the ranch and seasonings. I asked for a number for corporate and be said there was no number to corporate. I then proceeded to drive and park to return my purchase I was not happy with due to the lack of customer service and willingness to make a customer satisfied. I could have simply paid for the ranch but its the principal. There are no signs posted saying ranch or seasonings aren’t free.I wont be back he was rude and unprofessional.

My first order was amazing and it was before 2 weeks from Rollet branch. After 10 days from my first order, it was disaster and coz i was hungry i eat it, but it was terrible! Maybe it’s old i don’t know! The fries 🍟 are delicious

Taste is pretty good, but the wait time has always been over 40 min., and apparently about 1 cup of rice is how much a FAMILY needs. Almost funny... UPDATE: We ordered 2 boxes of the 10 piece dark meat, and one of the boxes of chicken was 80% white meet.
