This location in particular has been a wonderful establishment and nice to go to. For years I have gone here with my friends and people I know, and it’s has always stayed consistent. It has been one of those places that oh your in town go to the taco bueno, or hey let’s meet up there. In my personal experience it has always been there and been good their veggies are fresh and the establishment is always clean.

I’ve visited this location several times now and each time , I know that I will get fresh ,hot food and customer service is also ok . I’ve read some reviews and honestly I have never had any of these issues , we actually picked up food tonight and it was super hot and fresh , when we got out food home steam was coming out of the container of our platter .we always seem to get a great staff making the food when we visit , also I can tell that the manager/owner understands that good quality of the food will keep loyal customers, the staff is on point and so is the food . If I ever have a bad experience I will definitely update my reveiew.

Freshest food from any drive thru I have ordered in a very long time. It didn't look like the food was being aimed toward the trash, but it ended up in the take home container. Priced reasonably, much better than prefab buger and cold fries. THANK YOU, Taco Bueno!!! Really good lunch. Good fresh Tex Mex drive through.

I pulled into the drive thru on a rainy Wednesday morning for 3 simple party tacos. The drive thru was prompt, courteous and accurate. My time in the drive thru was standard for a drive thru, not fast but also not a long wait. The simple party tacos? Absolutely fresh and delicious as a Taco could be. I was actually impressed with how delicious they were. Top notch fast food with a pleasant experience to boot!

This Taco Bueno is getting better, I'm pleased to say. We didn't visit for a year or so when the quality of the food over many times was down. However recently, someone was really wanting a specific Taco Bueno menu item so we tried them again and it was good. A few weeks later we went again, and... Good!! I'm pleasantly surprised to get to add Taco Bueno back to our take out rotation!

Our big order was received quickly and accurately. I really like the free salsa bar! I'd never been inside a Taco Bueno before, I'd just ordered from the drive through. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The food is decent Tex Mex. The smoked brisket taco was small but, the meat was very flavorful, and I do not usually care for beef! Overall, the price paid for lunch for 8 people was pretty reasonable.

For a fast food restaurant they have good food and staff that's friendly. The inside restaurant could be cleaner but they seem to always be busy.

Always pleasant customer service through drive through. I always get nachos which are pretty good. Vegetarian options available.

For a quick in and out meal it was good at 5:30 on a Friday evening, and the house "premium" margarita was good with their cheese enchilada.

Really good fast food. My go to place for fast tacos, tostados, burritos, etc. Good taste, fast and very freindly staff. They also offer a military discount of 10%. J appriciate that little extra. By the way, real good pico to top it off.

Love the food quality, service and cleanliness. They seem to keep the food great and the restaurant clean. I seem to see them struggle with employees most seem stressed and unhappy.

Unfortunately our order was wrong (missing items); and when I went back to tell mgmnt, they decided to NOT redo the order. Instead, they compensated by only throwing a few tacos and burritos at us, which was only half of what was missing

The cashier always knows to give me extra fire house salsa. I go here at least twice a week! Love the burritos personally but everything is delish.

More authentic home cooked Mexican food than any other food establishment of this caliber. The fresh cooked chips daily add that extra but of incentive to show they care about the quality of their food as well as the fresh chicken and beef that's never frozen. Just like momma used to make.

The drive through service was fast and very friendly. Seems I remember the food being a little more tasty when I ate it as a child..but that's probably on me. Taco Bueno is very consistent and this was yummy.

Other locations are much better and cleaner. The food tastes good, but I hope the kitchen / cooking area is cleaner that the eating area

Taco Bueno isn't as good as it used to be, & that's not isolated to just this one. The Chicken Nacho Salad has risen in price a lot, but has a different type of chicken that isn't the quality of before. Other entrées seem to be more loaded with salt than ever before, & they still don't have the salsa bar available.

Never is served like the picture. I got the deluxe nacho salad. One table spoon of beef scattered on top. One table spoon of queso chips were stale. Lots of lettuce though.

Taco salad was fine, but mucho-nachos not so much! Of course they use cheese sauce instead of melted shredded cheddar so the chips are soggy with that sauce and runny chili sauce. No sour cream or extra cheese. Only bearly Luke warm Mexican mush is the result. Like a bad night at a football game! Next time I go with muchacos or burritos. Those are always good if you get extra salsa.

Let me just say I'm only giving a three because the new girl working the front was very nice in spoke to us as soon as we walk through the door meanwhile,the manager(the Hispanic woman I for got her name) was very rude didn't speak are nothing. The new girl messed up on the order a lil bit but it seriously was not a big deal and her manager was rude to her right in front of us. I felt so bad I even apologies to the new lady I for got her name as well. But when our food got done she just walked to the counter in through the food on there in walked off, I had to ask is this my food. I mean my goodness it makes me not even wanna go back. But other than her and her attitude every one else was wonderful. So, I go back today cuz my husband wanted some brisket tacos (7/06/2019) and guess what??? They are out of brisket,🤔🤔🤔 really? This is fast passable tex-mex. It used to be a lot better. The queso has gotten progressively worse over the years. The drive thru gets the order wrong about half the time, but at least they are quick. Always park and check your order. You'll notice others doing the same.

Well some times I feel it's fresh and other times I don't. It's usually a very clean restaurant. Service it use some improvements. Don't get me wrong I love Bueno.

The food is always consistent. However, the inside of the restaurant is always filthy and the service is frequently slow -- I suspect that the corporate office limits the number of hours they can work, because they always seem to have too few people.

I love bueno. Waited 20 years for them to build in Terrell Tx. It finally came only to be a disappointment. EVERYTIME IVE GONE HERE, the rice is ALWAYS hard as a rock and horrible. Tacos hardly have any filling in it and it takes at least 20 minutes to get my food when dining inside , even when there aren't any customers.

Normal except the Muchaco was exceptional, fresh hot with the shell/pita bread flaky and filled perfect. Good job! Much better than the last time I was at this location.

Food is good but drive through cashier is not nice. I go frequently to pick up orders for the office. I always ask for a specific number of hot sauces. EVERY single time she gives me less than I ask for. It's very hard to split a hot sauce between different people, especially during COVID.

Love their new mini tacos! But, none of the locations have had the advertised guacamole. Very disappointed that they get your hopes up and let you down. I have tried five times since they advertised this new menu item. Wish they would bring back their taquitos!

The food is typically good but I got some bean burritos today and the beans were not done all the way. The manager said this is because they need a new grill for the beans. The cheese was lumpy and the chips were stale. Called them and the manager said to save my receipt and put her name on it and they will replace the order.

Drive through is full of incompetence, that moves slower than molasses, with a hint of a attitude you would assume come from your local drive through window worker. All and all if your not in s hurry the food is good.

So I just went to order and when I picked up my order and for some odd reason they always mess up by forgetting some items like a taco or 2, after you pay and such my advice is always double check. Cause even when you come back to let them know they won’t do anything about it. It’s ridiculous even with receipt. To top it off their phone number doesn’t work at all so you can’t call to let them know the problem.

This location has become worse and worse throughout the years. I am not getting cold food that won't even melt the cheese they top it with. Used to be the best location.

They always have hot food... BUT can't evee seem to get my order correct. Not sure why, their menu us pretty freaking simple.

I LOVE Taco Bueno but this one is very poorly run. Went by there and they were out of Taco meat, how does a store run out of taco meat? The nacho chips here are always stale if they even remember to give you them with your chips and queso. Queso is either runny like water or thick with no spices. Bought a $4 combo burrito and was as big and full as a party burrito. Always leave feeling ripped off. Avoid this Bueno, go to the one in Mesquite or elsewhere.

Food is pretty good but it's like a different restaurant at night. Portions are so small not worth the money. You would think you are at taco bell. The taco shells touch they are so empty. RIP off. .

Had quesadilla plate, that half of it was just tortillas and the other mostly cheese for 10$ also kitchen not clean even though not busy at all.

This place used to be great. Now the orders are ALWAYS wrong and it takes forever to get your food at the drive-thru..

I give it a 1 star because they wouldn't let me give it zero stars. This place is top 3 nastiest tasting food at a restaurant chain of all time. I have it #2 in my hall of shame. Place is not good.

I don't frequent this location as much as i do the one in mesquite but this one has gone down hill. I went there today and there menu has changed, so i ordered 2 fajita platters and both were cold when i got home and i live less the 10 min away. The rice and meat were both cold, and the portion was so much less. Not sure if ownership has changed but i will not be coming back to this location again.

Vegetarian, probably by now I have received 5 meat products in my burrito taco or soft taco or my nachos. What is wrong why can't people make the vegetarian food and pay attention over the intercom if I'm saying meat or beans

The taco shell is almost empty with hardly any meat. Bean burritos were filled like a party burrito.

Mgr Daniel was very rude this was my first time ever in here he could barely speak English so I was trying to explain to him what I wanted and because the screen showed something that I didn’t ask for then he got a attitude with me. The other young lady that was also a mgr was nice, pleasant and wanted to help me but I can’t spend money with this kind of customer service or lack of no thank you. Please retrain him!!

Just went and picked up my lunch.Had mucho nachos with jalapenos added. Got home,thought l had got wrong order. Was disappointed in the food. Finally found my jalapenos under the stale nacho chips. I can remember when people took pride in what they served to the customers. Those days are gone. Do not go to this place. I will not go back.

Gross 🤢. Don't waste your time or money. Rowlett needs to send the health department in this location. The bean burrito taste burnt the chips and taco shells are hard not fresh at all. The service is terrible. Rowlett please close this location before someone gets sick. I feel like dog food is better tasting then the food they sale here.

Got home with our dinner and we were missing 4 tacos and 4 burritos. These were things for my kids so we had to give them our food which wasn't a hood time. We had 2 very upset toddlers! I tried calling them several times to see if they would fix it but the number just gives me a busy signal every time.

The quality of the ingredients have really gone down and the prices keep going up! The cheese that they switched to is just gross! The cheddar they used to use was great but the queso has also gone way downhill. I'm a Bueno head from way back and I can't hardly stomach this place anymore. FIX IT!!! I MISS "TACO BUENO"!!

Worst food. Worst service ever. Been going to this location for 20 yrs. It's never been this bad. They got the same order wrong 3 times for the guy infront of us. He stood at the window waiting for then to get it right 2 times after driving thru. We checked our order & it wasn't our order. We waited for it to be fixed.. it was still missing our 4 tacis.. I'm never going back. My son & friend just came back & they were so dissapointed after working late, & getting an order that was so wrong.

We ordered beef tacos but got lettuce tacos instead with the smallest amount of meat. This location is pretty shady. Go the extra couple of miles to the Rockwall location.

We ordered food on postmate and when it got here it was missing food. I went to the store and the mgr told me she put it in the bag. Then she said that i didnt pay for it and was very argumentative the whole time. So i'm out my food abf the extra money we paid to have it delivered. We will never go back to the Rowlett location.

Taco Bueno has gone so downhill! Especially this one. Their queso is horrible, it's not the same as before. Plus I didn't get any shells with my Mexi Dips and Chips, and hello chips! I barley got any and they were small crumbs! Plus my boyfriends quesadilla wasn't even melted. We had to put it in the microwave...also the kid at the window asked if I wanted any hot sauce, I specifically said NO because they just throw it in the bag, well whenever I got home I had 4 hour sauces and 2 were busted open at the bottom!

It seemed really dirty...I went in to eat a couple of burritos and a taco and some chips and queso. The food just didn't feel clean to me so I wont be going back for a while. I didn't feel like I could trust the employees with them being clean. I do not recommend this location.

They'll intentionally rip you off and steal your money, staff and managers alike. A few montha ago, I ordered chips and queso with my order, and they rang me up for guacamole (which is more expensive). After seeing this on my receipt and asking about it, I was told they were the same price by the cashier, and that I would get the queso I ordered. After getting my order, which was correct, I circled back around to check the drive-thu menu. Guac was like $1.50 more. I went back to the window and asked for the extra money I paid back. The manager came, and gave me back $0.45. I told her that the drive-thru said guac was $1.50 more. She said that the prices needed to be changed and that it was only $1 more. I asked her why she only gave me $0.45 back. She huffed, and gave me another quarter. Still wasn't what I overpaid, but I was grew angry and tired of their games and left. If that isn't intentionally ripping me off, then that's pretty sad (and confusing) how a manager can't perform basic math.

Went there for lunch today and was very disappointed with my food. I ordered taco's, got home and was looking for the meat and tomatoes. But what was bad, the taco shells were so hard. Not sure if old but not fresh for sure. I won't be going back.

It is 11:30p on a Friday night, 5-4-17. All of the lights are out. Place looked closed if you didn't know they stay open till 1a. As my husband and I drive by the front I see two people sitting on the front counter top. Pull up yo order and no one answers. We sat there for 5mins, saying "hello?" Into the speaker with no response. We drive back by the front and the people are no longer at the counter. I live like 3mins from this location and have been coming here for years and this is not the first time within the past few months I've gotten horrible service, wrong orders, and now during operating hours when I saw people inside, they don't answer the speaker. Highly disappointed.

I found hair and a bug in my food! The employees were very rude and just threw my food together and when asked to properly prepare my food they treated me like I was dirt! I do not recommend anyone going to eat here!!!!

The person working the drive thru was so rude plus my order was wrong. Very disappointing since I am still paying $ for a service...she looked like she wanted to be anywhere else and like she just walked in off the street - no Taco Bueno shirt - no name tag or anything identifying her as an employee - it was a strange scenario and I wondered if she was supposed to be there based on her attire and attitude. When I pulled up to place my order no one said anything so I waited a few minutes and politely said "Hello?" she answered very rude and clipped "on second". The store was not busy - the parking lot was empty. I placed my order and pulled up to the window. Once she opened the window she said my total, I was expecting her to repeat my order or at least say a pleasantry like "Hi" or "How are you?" - still rude with no facial expression - she just said my the total so I handed her my card. She ran my card and then barely even handed me the card back - I had to reach into the window to get my card back, like she couldn't be bothered to extend her arm!! Such a weird encounter - all the time she was making me reach for my card she wouldn't even look at me. The distain for her job radiated off her onto unsuspecting customers who do not deserve that type of treatment just because they decide to order thru the drive thru at Taco Bueno. They should find new employees, who will at least treat you like a human and attempt to get your order correct.

Went here around 8:45 4/5/18. Bought myself a reg soft taco. Kids a big beef taco 3.99. My stomach has been upset since and now it's in the morning. My kids complained food Was cold, salty, and nasty; I have to agree. Years ago Taco Bueno use to be one of my favorites. I stopped going because I just went so much. After this experience I'll never go again. I see this place closing in the near future if they don't update the quality of their product and food.

This is the worst Taco Bueno I have ever been to. The service is horrible to began with the nacho salad and taco salad is nothing but chip's and lettuce. The beans taste scorched. I will be going to Taco Bell from here on out. Everything there is fresh and the service is awesome. Now with that being said if you ever go to Richardson the Taco Bueno there is on point the food and service at that location is awesome.

Went drive through last night, thanksgiving eve. 9:45pm and ordered 2 wholelotta platters and 2 large orders of churros. One employee was upset about something, probably because we showed up 15min before closing. We took order home, the food was good except one order of churros was cinnamon and sugar and one order was cinnamon and SALT. This is our last straw. Taco bueno, your employee don’t have to worry about being “put out” by us anymore. F this whole uncontrollable situation.

I had 3 coupons & was told I could only use one. They wouldn't let me do 3 separate orders, so I said how about I drive around 3 times (stupidity inconvenient) now I don't understand what the reasoning was to make me drive through the drive thru 3 different times instead of just letting me give 3 different orders at once. After all that the food wasn't that good. I ordered the wholatta box with 6 tacos & 6 burritos wouldn't let me change the hard tacos for soft, they were supposed to be meat & cheese only, there was maybe 2 table spoons of meat and no cheese. After all that I won't be going back.

Absolutely the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE ever !!! The MANAGER had a nasty attitude with me because I came for a refund due to my food not tasting fresh . Steel taco shells and crusty beans. I wasn’t upset with her, at first. I just simply wanted a refund and she instantly snapped.

My husband and I both ordered the Muchaco platter. They have us both the enchilada platter. They got upset when we took the food back, like it was our fault or something. So then they bring us the new food. His plate is correct but mine is not. I ordered chicken not beef. So we had to take it back again. The manager that was there then threw her hands up in the air like she wanted nothing else to do with us. So third time my food comes to me, it's cold, and I open it up and there are three tiny pieces of chicken in each of my tacos! It went in the trash!!!

I was dining inside this location on February 10th when my mom bit into her Muchaco and found a metal paper clip inside. She immediately spit it out. The situation was extremely upsetting and her stomach felt uneasy afterward. I have photo evidence and brought it to the manager on duty right away. I only requested a refund for the one taco that contained the paper clip — not the entire order, which totaled $45.15. They refused to refund even that single item. The manager stated there was no way it could have come from their store because they only use grey paper clips. The paper clip in the food was grey. This was a serious food safety issue and it was not handled appropriately. I have contacted corporate for review.

I can’t comment on the atmosphere, but our order was incorrect. We ordered two plain bean and cheese burritos with no sauce, and one combination burrito. Instead, all three burritos were made as bean and cheese with sauce. When we got home, I called immediately at 9:20 PM and was hung up on multiple times. By 9:29 PM, the restaurant stopped answering the phone altogether. I also have photos showing the number of times I called in an attempt to have this addressed. Response: No one has asked me to reach out directly, which may be because no one ever answers the phone at this location. I have called again since leaving this review and still received no response, aside from the generic reply posted here. This location may improve briefly, but it quickly returns to a clear lack of basic customer service and common courtesy. This goes beyond frustration and reflects consistently poor service. The experience is very telling of the standards being upheld and the staff being hired at this location.

In short, this place is utterly inconsistent. I don't think it's worth the gamble. Denied service because they were too close to closing an hour away. Missing food and drink items, poorly staffed so you get your food slowly and often incorrectly. Also, I know it's small, but you cannot pick up an online order in the drive thru like most places, BUT they have no signage to tell you until you are trapped 5 cars deep in a drive thru that you have to wait through to then walk inside and pick up your food, if you're lucky and it's ready. This place used to have a 5 star rating for me, and it's no longer there, that's why this review has changed. It's been a series of situations that slowly declined over a period of time. The family has voted to remove this option from our line up food at this point. Idk what this place is trying to accomplish. Unless it's poor service and inconsistent food, they are failing.

I tried to order online. Once I put my whole family's order in, it tells me online ordering isn't available. What a waste of time. So we tried to call in an order for carry out. Nobody would answer the phone. I gave up and didn't order. A few days pass and i really want to try this place, so I go through the drive thru. I had to correct the person taking our order a few times because he was getting the order wrong. When i pulled up to the window, they asked me if i wanted to tip them. If you were driving your personal vehicle to deliver people's food, I'd most likely tip. However, I'm driving to you. I don't really like the added pressure of asking if I'm going to tip you at a drive thru. I received my food and drinks. Our fountain drinks were terrible. Mine tasted like water with some coloring in it. Now for the positive. The food was meh. Just kinda okay. I ate it and was disappointed. I can't really recommend it knowing there are some better options nearby.

Every time I go to this location I regret it. I love me some Taco Bueno but NOT this one! This time I decided to dine in and it was about 11am, the floors looked like they haven' t been swept in days but that was not the main concern. The salsa bar was sooooooo bad!!! The onions were obviously old old. The smell was horrific and the pico was so bad. Do better Taco Bueno! I won't waste my money on this place ever again.
