It was pretty good. We went during the lunch buffet and the selection was ok. I enjoyed the pot roast and mashed potatoes. The hush puppies were pretty dry and the dessert was minimal....boxed banana pudding and ice cream.

What a Sunday brunch delight!! Waffle and omelet w/ cinnamon roll station to breakfast and lunch bar to salad bar. EVERYTHING you would expect to find at a fraction the price. $20? Take that pricey Gaylord. We rediscovered this place after coming rather frequently pre-covid. Glad we came back. Service is friendly pre-California invasion style. We will be back. And back and back.

First good meal I'd had in a few days & it didn't disappoint! I ordered the patty melt with fries. They came to me piping hot and fresh, all cooked to perfection. Love the seasoned salt on the fries. I usually only eat a few fries when I order them with meals, but these were so good I ate every last one. Prices were very reasonable and portions plentiful. I ate at the bar, and the bartenders/waitresses were smiling, happy people who gave great service. It just so happened that a musician was playing solo, which was unexpected and fun. Even without the music, I love the ambiance of the place. The last time I ate here was in around 1995 when I used to live in Grapevine. I'm so glad I made time to eat here as I travel thru the area. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this place. live music on the weekends. It is definitely a locals' bar...but go two or three times and you're treated like a local. Downside - lots of cigarette smoke.

Our server was amazing and very attentive. She understood that it was our first time there and helped us with any questions. We enjoyed the food. I had the Willhoite club and my husband had the Cajun Chicken breast, both were delicious. We would definitely go back again.

Willhoite’s is fun - food is good, service is good, it’s dive bar looking without being a dive bar. But I’m asthmatic, and you can smoke in Wilhoites. And I guess officially you can only smoke in the bar - but they don’t more the air inside very efficiently, so the whole place reeks. I had to go home and wash my hair and clothes asap. If you’re a smoker, this is your place. But if you’re not, or if you have any sort of pulmonary problem, you’re going to want to avoid it.

This place is great to meet friends for drinks. Good patio and kind wait staff. Food is meh. We tried their chicken fried steak. I could not eat more than one bite, due to the bad taste. I would go back again and try a burger.

This is a historical restaurant located where there was a gas station before. Southern style cooking and a very welcoming staff. On the weekdays there's a buffet menu for $15 with plenty of options including salad, tacos, tamales, mashed potatoes, corn, beef, etc. The food was warm and looked fresh but in terms of quality it was just ok. Asked about non smoking, bar tender was sarcastic. Went to dining area and waited awhile for menu and to order drink. Was told someone would take my order shortly. Waited another 15 minutes and waitress came to my area and looked surprised said she didn’t know I was there. She was nice but I was very frustrated that I was forgotten. Food was good

Went there based on customer reviews and prices from their website. The food was ok but not great. This is a buffet and none of the selections were topped or replaced the whole time we dined. We are seniors and told our server that we came for the $14.00 senior price (this is $1 off the full price). He immediately told us that the website price was wrong and we would have to pay full price as they had not updated their own website! Where did this restaurant get this server? We were so flabbergasted by this ridiculous statement over two dollars, that we just resolved to deal with this in a review. This was a horrible failure by this server who represents the management team. I feel sorry for a restaurant that values 2 dollars over customer service. We tipped our server 20% because maybe he needed the money too.

Went there to celebrate birthday with family. Food was not good at all. Our server kept apologizing to us for the food and dessert being cold. The only part of the buffet that was good was the salad. The burgers are bland.The restaurant smelled like cigarettes all over. I may go just for the bar setting , but not for restaurant.

We just went there on 12/20/2025. I have never in my live eat food that taste this bad. The pork chops were dry and over season, tasteless frozen meat balls and chicken nuggets, under cook sausage with a hard to chew skin. Will never eat there again, even if it is free. Graet service though. Also we did not like the smell and the smoke from cigarettes..

The food was disgusting. I’m so upset. My kids wanted to go to Golden Corral but I wanted to try this due to reviews. I’m full of regret and hungry. Nothing at all tasted good. Horrible. Walmart like Swedish meatballs. Precooked roast beef slices may have been only edible item. Mashed potatoes so water it spilled through spoon. Same Mac and cheese. Watery. Sausage salty no sauce. Chicken nuggets are Walmart frozen. I mean I have ZERO NICE THINGS TO SAY. I am so upset that my time with my grands was ruined. I’m Yelp elite and for sure going on there. Waiter never asked us if we wanted a drink. Had to hunt one down. Just ICK AVOID AVOID AVOID.
