Crab Shack St Brelade

The crab shack sits next door to its ‘bigger brother’ the oyster box, and offers a more family friendly relaxed dining experience. But do not be fooled in to thinking you should give this a miss because it does not boast such a high brow menu or wine list. The quality of the food is excellent and there is definitely something for everyone on offer. The crowning glory is the spider crab and if you have the patience you will not be disappointed. The crab was beautifully presented and incredibly yummy! If you don’t want to work that hard, the crab poutine is a genius creation. Who doesn’t like crab meat flaked over well seasoned french fries. Often non seafood lovers are let down by the other food choices at restaurants so dominated by fish, but not here. The steak was not a second class citizen, holding its own and really well cooked. Overall the quality of the food for the price was excellent- and with the mix and match small plates is definitely somewhere for a big group party or family gathering. The choice of puds was also fun, variations on the classic ice cream sundae gave it the authentic diner vibe, whilst also offering some hot classics including crepe suzette. A fun and relaxed atmosphere with a beachside location ensuring epic sea views from your table. Certainly worth a visit.

Excellent menu, with wide selection of fresh fish and alternatives for those wanting something else. Our waitress was lovely incredibly attentive and friendly. They have a nice children’s menu too. We visited regularly and if they carry on they will be the favourite to visit. One recommendation I would make is the head man seating people, needs to be more welcoming and less Sargent Major. He will frighten off and ruin your reputation.

We ordered 2 whole crabs and 2 sides. The spider crabs were big with a lot of meat to pick. It was tricky and messy at first, then we got better, managed to twist and pull chunks of the leg meat out. Tasted very fresh and very reasonably priced. The restaurant locates by the beach, we were sitting outside with an amazing view. We had a kayak tour the next day and the guide took us to where the restaurants supplier catch the crabs, in the water about 300-400metres in front of the restaurant.

Absolutely thrilled with my dining experience at Crab Shack in St. Brelade on Jersey! 🦀😁 The warm oysters in chorizo sauce were a revelation—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. 🦪💪🏼 The whole crab with avocado salad and lemon mayo sauce was a true delight. The fresh crab meat paired beautifully with the creamy avocado and tangy lemon mayo. ❤️ Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable culinary experience!

I Had lunch at the Crab Shack while visiting St Brelade, Jersey. The food is great and well presented. I enjoyed the oysters and crab linguine. Both dishes were super fresh and delicious. Ended my meal with an espresso coffee also very good and strong! The service was excellent. I will definitely go back when in the area.

We sat on the prom and had a brilliant meal, the burger was delicious, it was moist and tender, the chips were crisp and fluffy on the inside, just as described and the fish was fresh and flavourful, would definitely recommend. Edit: Just came back again for lunch, and was just as impressed as the first time!

This restaurant is perfectly situated on the beachfront, offering stunning views of the ocean while you enjoy your meal. We had lunch overlooking the beach, and the scenery made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was beautifully presented, well-cooked, and seasoned to perfection. While the calamari portion could have been more generous, I admit I tend to compare it to what you’d find in the south of Spain. Staff were friendly and service attentive. Restaurants doesn’t accept cash or tips. Over all a great experience.

Service was lovely, so the 10% charge is justified. They were all very welcoming. Seafood was spectacular, I recommend sharing the crab of the day. Finished with beautiful views by the beach.

Year later and it is still GREAT !! 3rd visit to Jersey and 3rd visit to the Crab Shack and we were not disappointed. The oyster’s are super fresh and arrive with option of Tabasco, fresh lemon or shallot vinegar (or “naked” ). The spider crab was well prepared and presented and full of taste. For something different I decided to try the flat iron steak and will definitely be going for that again. In a stunning location with choice of outdoor or indoor seating this great for either lunch or an evening dinner!

This restaurant offers a range of differently priced meals. There's a lot of choice too, with a number of veggie options. Everyone in our fussy group found something to enjoy. My dad really enjoyed the throwback pudding of Crepe Suzette! He'd not seen that on a menu since the 80s and said it was brilliant. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The place has an easy friendly vibe that means it's perfect for families. Never been before, but we'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious and the view is stunning. Service was very good but all the food arrived at the same time, and we really wanted to have starters and mains. Shout out for the incredibly well mixed cocktails as well!

Great place right on the beach with fantastic views, and the food was amazing. Makes me want to go back to Jersey.

Have visited the crab Shack on many occasions and was slightly concerned the recent refubishment might not work out for the best. Our meal was however excellent, service was attentive, unrushed and friendly and we both enjoyed some of the new additions to the menu. Indonesian seafood curry was star of the show. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Server was very helpful, food was incredible and very delicious, could pay using the QR code at the end of the meal. Definitely one of the best places to eat in jersey.

Do it! You will not be disappointed. I had my eye on the Crab Shack since we started planning our trip to Jersey. I'm very happy we chose to visit and when we come back to Jersey, we'll be back. Fantastic food, staff and a brilliant menu.

Great for lunch today, smart restaurant with such good views, Attentive staff as we entered and shown table, water brought to table without asking, munu was full of choices and and some daily specials. Food was fresh and tasty and plenty off it, still had time to have dessert, rude not to, and it was special, choc sundae, a, must try

I sat outside overlooking the beautiful beach of St.Brelade on a glorious sunny day. I chose the Crab Shack for lunch. Friendly staff, excellent location and food.

Really good food and not too expensive. Staff are super friendly and attentive. We came for lunch and dinner on separate days. You can sit inside or outside. We sat outside as there is an amazing view across the bay.

Situated in one of the most picturesque spots on the island. With views of the bay and large white beaches opposite, this is a great spot for food, drinks and enjoying the atmosphere at any time of the day! We visited as a group of 8, and the restaurant is conveniently accessible by the buses on the island, with a bus stop right outside. Prices are affordable and there is lots on offer to chose from. We tried a mixture of the crab, small plates and sharing options. The shack sharer options are large and easily enough for two people. All staff were very friendly and happy to assist with recommendations and explaining the menu. A really enjoyable experience and would go back if we were in the area again.

As a vegetarian, I was originally put off this spot as I thought it was seafood only, but after viewing their menu online we gave them a spin. They have a good selection of vegetarian/vegan meals and they were really tasty - so good that we ate dinner there twice... The staff were also among the best we experienced whilst in Jersey - thanks guys.

Absolutely loved this place food was amazing especially the crab and lobster it was fresh and delicious finished of with a bucket of ice cream . Staff excellent and view of the beach makes this a real gem of a place.

What a great find, visited St Brelade for the first time and found this fantastic restaurant overlooking the beach - spectacular! We both had fish and chips, both portions were a good size and was very tasty. Went for pudding afterwards and not disappointed there either - staff were very friendly without rushing us, the whole experience was first class, we'll definitely be back!

Great food. Everything on the menu is tasty. We came for the first time two years ago and keep coming back when on Jersey. This time we dined there 3 out of 5 evenings. Staff are really attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Excellent all round.

Crab linguine is really refreshing and tasty. Spring roll with kimchi is a bit too blend.

We stopped here for lunch in September and got the Jersey whole crab. It was really impressive and tasted really good! Only thing was that I wished the salad was separate as I’m not a huge fan of avocado. My friend got oysters and she seemed to enjoy them! My partner, who isn’t a fan of seafood, got the chicken poke bowl and unfortunately didn’t enjoy it. It was really bland and it was all served cold. There wasn’t enough chicken for the size of the bowl. Their order on the website experience was really good and the staff were attentive. However there looked to be a bug on the website as I ordered a normal sized coke but they kept giving us small cans (think mixer size cans). We sat outside by the beach and the views were lovely! Overall I would recommend this place for the amazing seafood!

Love the atmosphere and service staff. They were super helpful and attentive. Food was brilliant with super fresh ingredients. We totally enjoyed the mussels in white wine sauce and crab linguine. My Daugther loved the mini burger which cooked to perfection. Highly recommend trying out the iced coffee with double espresso and jersey milk !!

Lovely location at St. Brelades Bay with a good outdoor seating area overlooking the beach. Good selection of food and the service was excellent. We had fish and chips and the whole mackerel. The mackerel tasted delicious but for the price it didn't include any potatoes or fries which was a little disappointing. For pudding I had the lovely cafe Delicio which was an espresso, pastel de Nata and ice cream with chocolate sauce. I liked that they didn't expect a service charge as the price includes everything. On the whole a very enjoyable lunch.

The food was tasty. Great sea views. Unfortunately, the service was slow, and I had to ask multiple times where my main course was. Toilets need a good clean. Great menu with lots of choices. They offer table service however you have to pay your bill at the bar.

Decent value for money and a good casual eat. I ordered a mojito which didn’t taste of anything but they quickly changed my drink and apologised. The food is nice and the atmosphere is laid back which is nice if you e just come off the beach

Came here for lunch and wasnt disappointed. Great views of the bay. Very friendly staff. Can definitely recommend the loaded beef burger!

Food looks good and although fresh lacks flavour. Oysters were good. Crab lacked flavour and they add so much lettuce to make it appear more than it is. The fish tacos had no taste at all.

Awful forced and fake "American-style" customer service. They ran out of crab for our whole party - The CRAB shack ran out of crab. The crab that came had no brown meat, yet the chef saw fit to still send this out with a shell full of slime. The crab that was served did not taste anything special, had much better Jersey crab elsewhere. The restaurant also has a "big chain restaurant" atmosphere, even the chain pubs on the island have more personality.
