We were in downtown Salinas on a Wednesday evening & decided to pop in here for a beer. It was fairly busy for a Wednesday, but I can see why. The DJ was playing records that patrons brought in. The beer selection was a nice local (for the most part) assortment. They did not serve food but allow outside food to be brought in. They also allow dogs. Great spot. Will he back with my own records next week!

Friendly casual establishment located classic downtown. Glad to have found this place as they only offer locally sourced craft beers.

i've always loved this unique spot and was a little nervous when I heard the place was changing hands but the new owners are actually doing a great job! great meeting place for craft beers with lots of fun activities and good convo as always

When arriving the security were very polite welcoming us to the XL. "First timers" we met up with my brother from Bakersfield and his fiance and my Son and his wife from Sacramento and 2 of my nephew Roy and Oscar jr. from the Valley of the Beast Salinas Ca. Plenty of seats to enjoy the event on the huge screen and downs stairs a band Called Rudian gave the place a great social vibe. We all enjoyed the Rudian band. The only disappointment there was when I tried to order a beer Modelo and you didn't carry it. I just hope the next time I decide to go I will be able to enjoy a chilled glass with salt around the rim of the glass and a very cold Modelo beer served with a few limes.

My friend invited me out for a drink and this house has one of the best Cheladas I have ever tasted.

Stopped by this evening for the first time. Cool atmosphere and decent beer selection. However , 12oz standard pout for $9 standard price, one and done for me. Explains why it’s always empty..

I can’t think of anything positive that happened during this visit….the entrance guy was nice. Service is not like I hoped it would be, had to be on a look out for seating and they said they didn’t have any extra chairs for us to sit, music not good. I have more cons than pros. I heard good things before I came here I’m just disappointed. And I hope when you visit this place ,you have a better experience than I did.
