A place you definitely must visit in Saltillo. Although the place is quite modest, the gorditas in their various stews are delicious and large enough to satisfy three. The menudo is also delicious! Highly recommended.

It was better before, they've lowered the quality, the gorditas are still good, the broth was very good, now it's ribs and brisket with literal whole vegetables.

A classic spot in the south of the city, near the Saltillo bus station. It has a diverse clientele that many might not like. But the beef broth is delicious and well-served. The price is in line with the quality and flavor. I only go there for that dish because it's one of the best in the area. I think they offer both a set menu and lunches. I recommend it.

A diner in every sense of the word. You can order everything from flour and corn gorditas to a variety of stews, a set menu, and the house specialty, beef broth; all with excellent seasoning. The drinks section has improved as they now sell fruit water in addition to soft drinks; you can still get in with mineral water or fruit juice.

A very traditional spot for breakfast or a quick, tasty, and home-style lunch. The portions of the stews are ample for an adult; in fact, you could say they're generously sized. Throughout the day, you can find gorditas with different fillings, and starting around noon, they begin serving stews, including broth. However, you have to arrive between 12 and 2 pm to get broth because it runs out quickly. The stews they offer change throughout the week. Don't miss the asado; it has a delicious, homemade flavor. They only accept cash, and there is no parking available.

Flour and corn gorditas with various fillings are very flavorful, generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. They also sell menudo on Sundays. My favorites are the egg and ham and pork rind gorditas. I'm a regular customer now, and the service is friendly and attentive. They're highly recommended for eating in or taking out.

You order two orders… and they give you half a bag of salsa, enough for only one order… you ask for another and they say no. So, it's two orders… I asked for a red one and they say no, they don't want to get poorer over a bag of salsa. Edited review 12/23/25 - I understand the changes this business has gone through, but I've been coming here for YEARS, since elementary school and I'm 30 now. Seriously, don't lower the quality of your food. The gorditas have less and less filling each time, and you end up eating more flour than filling. We used to come here for the quality of the food and the generous portions. There are different cooks and other people working here, I understand, but the prices haven't gone down. They're not exactly cheap breakfasts… but they shouldn't reduce the amount of filling either.

Horrible, sin medidas preventivas, sin gel, sin cubrebocas las dependientas, sin sana distancia, aglomeración de comensales, y para rematar si compras menos de 4 gorditas no te dan salsa ni servilletas, prácticamente parece que te las regalan, ya nada recomendable.
