Food truck located out back was phenomenal!!! The bar itself doesn't serve food, so if the food truck is closed, no food.
Great place!!! Kimmy and Wayne great bartenders, door guy, dont mistake his niceness for weakness!!!! Nice guy!! Very clean place!!
What a great place to hang out and join in on the open mic, The food truck had some delicious food and a wide open space to meet up with friends.
Great place ! The food truck TACOQUETO is amazing . The mini tacos are the best
Best place in San Antonio to grab some suds with your buds. Multitude of fun things to do and drinks to be had. Make a Trip by soon.
Really cool vibes! Would love to return maybe on a night when they have live music!
If anyone is looking for a different type of fun with friends, well here's the place. Sports on screen and plenty of space to play other games like golf ⛳ and basketball toss ect.
Such a great vibe! Huge space indoors. Large outdoor patio open and covered. Tons of screens to watch anything and everything! Staff is very friendly!
this place is great!!! love the atmosphere and the vibes indoors and outdoors. Only thing I would suggest adding is a pool table😊
I had the best time at River North Ice House! The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, and everyone was so friendly. Definitely my new favorite spot to hang out with friends and get drinks!
Nice place and air conditioning 😆 and the edm event they held there was awesome, great staff also.. and atmosphere and pet friendly.
The best bar in San Antonio. Parking is easy and bartenders take care of you. Food trucks are the goto
Been coming here since they opened and everyone on staff has been extremely friendly, especially Vicky. They also have lots of tvs which is good for March madness.
Excellent service, everyone is very attentive, and the food from the food truck is delicious, especially the mini tacos and the Mexican torta!!
Best place to watch football games or just chill.
Went for my birthday, bartender Allison was the BOMB. Cocktails were great. Perfect place for a night out with your girls!
The bartenders were great. The service and the atmosphere was all top notch
Great staff, Great service, All around great atmosphere for having a good time and watching sports in the Pearl/Downtown area.
Great place to watch an NFL game on Sundays.
1st time there was great. Plenty of tvs and sound sound system was really good. Very spacious.
Had so much fun! Friendly staff, great drinks AND they gave me 10% off for showing them my Uber reciept. Need more of this in SA
Amazing Tacos! Might be the best I’ve ever had! Definitely go with Asada!!
Love this place! They have live music and a dj at night. I’ve taken my golden here multiple times. Staff is super friendly!
Went for a fitness event. Nice atmosphere and setup. Nicely decorated. Def want to go back to have food and drinks.
This place is so fun. I went two nights in a row. Cool rehabed industrial space indoors. Large turf area outback. Each night had a different, great band followed by DJs to close out the night (or early morning). TVs everywhere for sports including a whole wall unit outback. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. This is the new hang out spot.
Awesome open mic every Wednesday at 9:00, huge TVs to watch every sport imaginable, fun arcade games and overall a great space.
Regular here. Drinks are reasonable and its always fun
Awesome spot in the River North District of San Antonio. Great for live music, the frozen drinks are delicious, and the staff is super friendly. The chicken buzz food truck was really good too!
We had a blast at this location. Went for a large group gathering and the vibe was welcoming and fun.
I live right next door at the museum reach lofts and this is super convenient! I come here all the time!! I have neighbors who say that it’s too loud but honestly I don’t hear anything. I’m happy this place exists! Amazing staff here!!!
Great place to hang out and watch the games. Also very good and cold beer. The owners are super awesome and the bartenders are very friendly. I’ve recommended for many people, but couldn’t recommend it enough.
The food is delicious 🤤😍 especially the burritos are delicious they are my favorite the staff always with a smile on their face and very friendly, I recommend this place 100% also the atmosphere is very fun I give it 10 out of 10 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥳🥳🥳🥳
Found this awesome gem this weekend. Great DJ, staff, setup, drinks and food options. We will defiently be back
It’s my first time here, and the place is so spacious and the drinks are so good! We’re here on a Friday night and the DJ Jaz is so good! He plays such fun throwback pop/punk remixes along w Latin remixes. It really makes the night so fun w the setlist!
Parking is honestly iconic and should be enough for the whole 5 star review. However, the bartenders also are on their shit, make great drinks and are so kind. DJ killed it too, major vibe even on a Thursday.
Can’t believe I have never heard of this bar before. They have the friendliest bartenders and lots of tvs! Ask for Vicky or Allison they will both take good care of you. DJs are really good too. Favorite drink on the menu was the Broadway Lemonade.
My husband and I were there recently, and I have to say, this was one of the best places we’ve been to. The drinks are phenomenal, we met a few of the owners, and they are great. The servers are amazing and gorgeous. Overall, the atmosphere is fantastic. I definitely recommend grabbing a few friends and heading over there! Don’t forget to uber!
I had so much fun last night in this amazing place, the vibe was great, of course the staff and the owners were so welcoming and super friendly . The atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to hang out . Can’t wait to go back there again and again aaaand again ..
Came in for march madness and had such an amazing experience!! This place is the go-to place to watch all sports!! The staff is top tier and make you feel so welcome! Kayla is the best and is always making sure everyone is always taken care of!!
Most fun I’ve ever had in a bar! Dog friendly too! Got there early for some beers and to watch sports on their 15+ TVs and Jumbotrons. Got really good food in the food truck out back. Stayed through to the band - best sound system I’ve ever heard in a bar! The hairs on my legs could feel the drums. And with tiered seating, everyone had a good view of the band. After the band they had a really good DJ come on where everyone loosened up and hit the dance floor. They also had the fight on outside on their Jumbotron screen which was a crowd favorite - not an empty seat in the house for that! The staff were so helpful and attentive, I felt very at home. Start to finish I had a great time - and I’m not usually the kind of person to spend a whole day at one spot. Can’t wait to come back!
Such a great vibe! Desarae served my friend & I & she was sweet & attentive!! Ask for her next time you visit. Great vibe overall 10/10
Everyone there is very nice and polite. We had a blast, dog friendly. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥👑
Desiree was so friendly, definitely the best bartender at River North Ice House. Wonderful atmosphere, if you’re in San Antonio make sure to mark this bar as a for sure stop!!!!
Great vibes, great drinks, great music!! I love this venue!! It’s huge, with plenty of seating. Everyone is so nice, the bartenders are great as well!
How in the hell have I not reviewed River North, yet? This spot is our home away from home. They have great drinks specials, different events going on throughout the week, including - Sundown Social every Sunday, with a variety of BADASS house DJs - always a vibe! - open jam for musicians every Wednesday night, with GREAT drink specials (if you ask me) - a buuuuunch or TVs to catch the latest sports games + UFC fights - karaoke Tuesdays!!!! Bc who doesn’t love to let loose with some saaaanginnnn? - a delicious food truck, parked in the back (important to note that is a different food truck, than the one they had when they opened)! - bunch of other fun events & collabs with other businesses & vendors + the best part about this spot - I HAD MY WEDDING RECEPTION HERE! That’s right, y’all. They will work with you to host your perfect event. I love RiNo & am forever grateful for their venue & staff. And now they have 60+ free parking spots right across the street (on W. Jones & Dallas, where the old CPS energy building is) 24/7. No payment needed & NO TOWING! Check it out, if you haven’t already. It’s so worth it!
It was too hot to be outside on the patio. We enjoyed the spacious seating across from the bar. Huge screens had the lady longhorns on. The service was great.
We live in Helotes and came downtown for SundayFunday. We noticed the ice house after lunch and decided to stop by. Great ambience and the service was amazing. You have to stop by and ask for Wayne, he is amazing! We will DEFINITELY be back!
Sunny, was amazing! She’s in the chicken buzz food truck and took very good care of us. The food was delicious and she even checked on us after to make sure we had a great experience. Had to show her that same energy with a review. Come visit!
Great Ice House with a lot of TVs and LIVE MUSIC! Size of the bar is misleading, this place is HUGE! & even has an outdoor area with turf and a huge LED Screen! Bartenders are fantastic and owners are constantly there checking in and making sure everyone is having a great time. Plus the app to order drinks on is convenient and the bartenders bring out the drinks quickly! Chicken Buzz food truck in the back is great (tenders, wings, sandwiches, fries, etc), and there's even a carnitas restaurant next door, which has been featured on Netflix! If you're looking for a place to watch a game or hang with friends, this is it!
What a fantastic time we had! Two consecutive nights at this place and we heard two outstanding bands - one is well known in Austin, not sure where the other one is from. And a couple of really good DJs playing great music that had a lot of people up and dancing. You gotta try the barrel of fun (I think that’s what it’s called) and the chicken truck out back serves excellent food and has a lot of menu choices. We’ll be back next time we’re in San Antonio. Ps - was just told this place is brand new! Even more impressive! Check it out.
This place has it all! Live music, sports, amazing staff and service. It’s where you want to be to watch a game or just meet up with friends. San Antonio has been in need of a spot like this. And they support dog rescues?! Wow! Will be back and often!!
We are so thankful to the team at River North Icehouse for helping make our military retirement ceremony so special! We had difficulty finding an indoor venue in San Antonio that had the laid-back yet polished bar atmosphere we were envisioning — especially in the middle of a Texas summer. Most places were either too small, too formal, or too expensive for our needs. River North Icehouse was the perfect fit! They’re centrally located in downtown San Antonio, convenient to all the major military bases, and there’s a large parking lot directly across the street, which made things even easier for our guests. Especially for our older guests with walking issues who needed close parking or a ramp. The team was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to bring in light snacks and some table decorations to personalize the space. The indoor area had everything we needed — a large full bar, friendly staff, plenty of seating, clean restrooms, a small stage with an audio system we could connect to, and even a projector screen where we played a video montage during the social hour. What truly stood out was the kindness and flexibility of the owners! Eric was so helpful and responsive leading up to the event, and on the day of, Wayne and Seth went out of their way to assist with setup and make sure everything ran smoothly. They even let us come in early for a ceremony run-through before opening to the public — something that really helped reduce stress on such a big day. If you’re planning an event and looking for a casual but clean and well-equipped venue, we highly recommend River North Ice House. They helped us host a meaningful, relaxed, and memorable retirement celebration — and we’re so grateful!
I usually stop by in the evenings after work. I always have a great time. Good vibes and good drinks. Bartenders are amazing and friendly.
We stopped by River North Ice House during our No Pet Policy (with the “No” scratched out 😉) mission to find pet-friendly spots, and this one definitely deserves the spotlight. It’s a huge indoor space packed with fun arcade-style games like Skee-Ball, basketball hoops, and Connect 4 Hoops, which makes it a perfect hangout spot whether you’re coming with friends or your pup. We got there early, and since the place was still empty, Retired K9 Bela basically owned the place — she walked around freely, leash in mouth, exploring every corner like she ran the joint. The bar is big and well-stocked, offering a wide variety of drinks, and there’s also an outdoor patio area with a taco truck, plenty of tables, and a super chill vibe. Pet-friendly, spacious, and full of energy — 100% Retired K9 Bela approved! 🐾🍻
We have been having our Houston Texans watch parties here and we LOVE it! The staff is very attentive, short wait for drinks, and they have a great food truck with pizza and ceviche pop ups. The DJ is amazing and plays a great mix of music genres. We love that they have an outdoor section in the back with TVs also showing games! They have great specials on game days for Texans fans, and play the Texans game with sound. Thank you for providing a fun and safe atmosphere!
Alright…River North Icehouse is a nice spot. Spacious and offers a variety of entertainment depending on the day. The space is very clean and could be a cute early date night spot for a drink. The drink prices are priced for that area. So it’s not cheap because it’s more of the Pearl area prices. However it’s not crazy priced just priced for the area. They have a spot for you to play a few arcade games and even a Photo Booth. They do have a food truck located outside. Friendly staff and food is good. Go check this place out. The bartenders are nice and there is always a manager or owner around just being attentive and checking on things. Go in for a visit.
North of the River Walk! Located in a large revitalized warehouse, decorated with hanging greenery, paper lanterns & disco balls. LED TV's . Fun arcade games! Full bar, wine, beer & tasty frozen drinks. Cool app to order drinks & the bartenders bring out ur drinks quickly. Water stations -Igloo jugs- located inside & outside . The outdoor area is well lit with a huge led TV, turf , corn hole, beer pong , very large lawn chairs, and Food truck . They have live music & a dj Thursday-Saturday nights . Dog friendly. We had a great time dancing to The Munoz Brothers band! Friendly staff. Nice vibe. Great watering hole for sports, dancing & gathering with friends!
I recently visited River North Ice House and had a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome and taken care of. The drink menu is impressive, with a variety of creative cocktails, and cold draft beer. The decor is stylish and modern, yet it feels inviting and comfortable. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after work or to celebrate a special occasion, River North Ice House is the perfect spot. Highly recommend! 👍🏽
It was sooo cute! I loved the live band especially because it wasn’t country music, it was fun/cool pop music. There was plenty of seating and a dance floor! There was a mocktail menu which is really important to me. All around good vibes
This place just opened, cool vibe great location. Huge disco balls cascade awesome light in a giant warehouse environment. They have some elevated benches where you could accommodate large groups huge selection of various kinds of alcohol. Looks like they’re open till 2 AM seven days a week. They also have cool ordering system where you scan QR code on the table and they bring it to you. Cool place in an increasingly cool area of San Antonio!
Stopped by River North during the week and the atmosphere is dope. I sat at the bar and The bartender Daria gave me some recommendations. The top of my list is the St Marie’s Marg followed by the Broadway lemonade. When I arrived she gave me some samples of the frozen drinks. If I had to choose one I’d go with the peach punch. I also tried then two horns mule and Clara’s paloma. I substituted for respasado over the mezcal. The music was good and resembled top 40. Definitely need to come back on The Weeknd to check out the live music but so far this is my new go to spot. Only problem I saw was the parking situation. The restaurant next door controls the immediate parking so i had to park down the street which wasn’t horrible but on a busy night i can see it getting sketchy and getting you car towed.
Texsan watch party here is the place to be. Nice tvs and dj on game nights.
Starting my downtown area search for a venue to host a corporate holiday staff party…I came across River North Ice House. Having taken a poll with the operations team that would be present that night, they all voted for a sports bar with tv, games, and a fun atmosphere. I ventured down to the establishment one Sunday afternoon and immediately thought “this place looks small and where do people park?” Little did I know that once I entered…it was way bigger than it looked from the outside. So don’t judge a book by its cover…this place is big! I talked with the MOD and he gave me direct info to ownership. Monday morning I reached out and was immediately replied back to by Seth. Seth was direct, eager to help, and communicated with me directly through his personal phone. This was the most important aspect of deciding where to take the 35 person party bus for our group outing. He was super eager to make things happen and work with the Frost Tower team as best he could. I reached out to about 6 other venues and some never responded, some did and then forgot, and some were just way to unreasonably priced. He offered bar service, catering, games, and personal hospitality. His constant communication prior to the day of the event helped create a level of trust and I was confident the main party his stop for the staff was going to be well worth it. The night of the party….we were greeted happily by the door guy, another MOD, and all the bar staff. The decor was amazing and it was truly a great experience. Seth had personally made sure everything was in place and made sure my manager was happy with all her questions and concerns. We played games, had food, great drink service and he even took our group pic. Most managers take your P-Card and you never see them 😜 Please book an event with this new and upcoming venue in River North of downtown! You will not be disappointed!
The bartenders are super sweet and polite, and the food out back is awesome. Big portions. Great prices. Clean and in a good area. Dog friendly too! We met this doggo named shadow who helped with the CARNE ASADA FRIES.
This is a really fun place to meet up with friends and relax! I love the vibe. There’s delicious frozen drinks, friendly staff, and you can catch a game here too if there’s one on. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I’ll be visiting again soon!

I found the RINO when looking for a venue to host my husbands retirement party. The owners were responsive, super friendly and very easy to work with. The vibe of this place they’ve created fit us perfectly and everyone had a fantastic time. Our party pretty much overtook the entire outdoor space where we were able to enjoy great food and drinks. The DJ reserved by the bar that night was excellent. We’ll definitely be back time and time again to support this team. Can’t wait to visit for some UFC?!!
The GM Kayla and Owner Seth are great people and very professional. They make River North Icehouse one of a kind and everyone should definitely come and enjoy the atmosphere. Especially if you are a Texans Fan on Texans Gameday this is the place to be!
This venue is revitalizing San Antonio’s house music scene. They do an amazing job promoting artists and putting on quality showcases - which are thoughtfully curated and consistently engaging. I love dancing here. The space is safe, inviting, and it provides a welcoming atmosphere for anyone who loves electronic music and wants to experience it in a fun, community-centered setting.
TaCoqueto food truck in the back is so good!! We got the asada fries for two people, which were a pretty large portion and reasonably priced for the amount and quality. The carne asada was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. They also have me free salsa which was delicious and very generous. Overall great food and bar experience 👍

Just stopped by to say goodbye to some awesome friends
we attended the soft opening, the bar is very big and nice, so much potential and a lot to look forward to. page shows dog friendly, brought my dog and i was stopped at the patio that dogs aren’t allowed.
A large space with lots of TVs to watch all your favorite sports, video games, large outdoor patio, and very friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. The best sports bar in the neighborhood.
Great place downtown to watch a game and have a bucket of cold ones. Plenty of elbow space. Food truck in the back. I'll be back for sure.
Service was great but there are no prices listed on the Beer selections which I find odd- and will i was there i got charger 3 times on my credit card for the same receipt how does this happen $86.32 x3 i dont know why this happen or how - but the music was great bar is larger nice thank you
It has a huge inside and a huge patio. There was a live band. It was kind of echoey(yes I made up that word) but a fun place. I was there for an event. I did not try the food but others loved it. It looked great.
Service was ok but the drinks were good. First time here but maybe I'll be back and give it a second try. Hopefully the service is better.
Went here for a first stop on my friend’s bar hopping birthday. This place is way too hot. We were sweating inside. Definitely wait till it’s colder out because they have no AC. I ordered a Paloma and it was $14. I personally think that’s pricey for a simple drink at an ice house. I also noticed they charge you for using a card. Which I did not see noted anywhere and there was zero communication before running my card. So that added 56 cents to the $14 drink. So now my $14 drink is now about $15.75 with taxes and fees. I tipped a dollar. Almost $17 for one Paloma is crazy. I just hope businesses start to realize people don’t want to pay that much for a drink out of a plastic cup. At least I don’t.
Great open space for events with enough seating. I did not try the bar or food but there were many from our group that did. They have extra parking across the street. They also have a taco food truck in their picnic area.

I went for the mexico vs usa game and they played nothing but rewrite le dj music when we were just trying to watch the game. Its a nice vibe but let us just watch the game in peace next time.
Nope. I thought it was a sports bar but it seemingly wants to be a club. Be a club on Friday night. Saturday afternoon, during football season, how about no blaring rap music…or any music.
Loud, service was slow. Ordered on the app. After waiting 15 minutes, had to go fi d the bartender and ask where my drinks were.
They have false advertisement on instagram it said on their five dollar pitchers beer on Mondays which they did not have
It’s like a big soulless box. Unimaginative. Overpriced, too (2 shots and a beer approached $30). I would say find a spot with more character and thought put into it. You deserve a better experience for your time and hard earned $$ than this place
The guys who check IDs outside are creepy and everyone should be careful when approaching them; he repeated my address under his breath while handing my ID back. Then the other guy needed to see our IDs even though the first guy checked them already. They clearly have a power trip going on. It also doesn't make sense to show IDs before entering when kids are allowed inside the bar. Also, the bartenders and the creepy guys outside need to be on the same page regarding bringing outside drinks in. One of the bartenders (big guy with long beard) said we can bring coffee inside since they don't serve coffee and we can add Jameson or other alcohol to it. But the creepy guys outside stated no coffees since no outside food and drink are allowed. There is conflicting message going on there. Overall, the drinks are meh but they do have a lot of tvs and the vibes aren't bad. Some of the bartenders are great and friendly and some seem like they're having the worst day of their life. Definitely worth skipping this place, since there really isn't anything that sets it apart from all the other bars in the city. Otto's Icehouse is nearby and they have good food and drinks. Smash'd is also close by and has amazing food, drinks, and live entertainment.
$20 for two drinks. Wow... No thank you. When I got there there was a lot of people leaving. If you like big screens everywhere to watch the game then this is the place for you.

Not even open yet and the laptop DJ had the biggest attitude. DO NOT COME HERE if you value music. This dude is SUPER WHACK! My friends showed up and paid out for my birthday and he was SO sassy. no one even here and he wouldn’t play anything besides AI generated playlists. Save your drinking trip for another venue until they switch the music up. We did not buy it.
The owner of this establishment was extremely rude, making my husband and I feel very unwelcome due to our hands-free service animal. We stayed for only 30 minutes and left after our first round because of his hostility. It's crucial for both the staff and especially the owner to be educated on ADA laws. It's astonishing that people can open businesses without proper knowledge of these regulations. When my husband tried to inform the owner about the relevant ADA law regarding our service animal, he was completely disregarded and met with yelling. This behavior is unacceptable. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals with disabilities are allowed to be accompanied by their service dogs in all public areas. According to the ADA, “service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, UNLESS THESE DEVICES INTERFERE WITH THE SERVICE ANIMAL’S WORK OR THE INDIVIDUAL’S DISABILITY PREVENTS USING THESE DEVICES. In such cases, the handler must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective means” (ADA Title III, Section 36.302(c)(4)).
I had a very disappointing experience at River North Ice House. The owner was unreasonable, rude, and showed no understanding of ADA service dog guidelines. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals with disabilities are allowed to be accompanied by their service dogs in all public areas. According to the ADA, “service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices. I hope the management educates themselves on these regulations to prevent future misunderstandings and provide a more inclusive environment for all patrons.
I live in the apartment complex next door. Our neighborhood was always quite and peaceful. Until recently. This Ice house has no consideration for their neighbors. (We are mostly senior citizens). Music is so loud we cannot get a good night's rest All we want is our peace and quiet back.
We came to River North Icehouse for my birthday. The bouncer would not let my friend in claiming he was intoxicated and slurring his words. My friend has a speech impediment. We tried to explain to him but he refused to let us in. This was so disappointing and offensive. I will not be returning and will make sure to let others know not to visit as well.
I live in an apartment complex a few blocks away and let me tell you, this place has absolutely ruined the soundscape and ambience of this area. The loud bass permeates my apartment every evening and the bands / DJs are obnoxiously loud. They are terrible neighbors with no regards for others who live in the area.
Food trucks outside are terrible inedible food. they crank the music speakers up so high even when there is no one around you can't hear wait staff or your friends. Bartenders were nice though but they have to take right in your ear to be able to listen to them
Bad service, over priced, unfriendly. Sat in a booth an hour and 10 minutes before a football watch party. 10 minutes before game time and the manager kicks me out of the booth saying it was reserved. No signage saying it was reserved at all. Just him telling me right before kickoff. No other booths just mine, saying they paid in advance, so he says. Again, no signage at all indicating it was reserved. Gave me a shallow apology at that's it! After being there over an hour while all other spaces were taken. Dude needs some hospitality training.
One bartender was great the other one didn't pay attention to us at all. You would think that every shot is $10-$12 minimum she would have at least paid attention especially when that night there were like 5 people there. I think it's shady that they included their own 20% tip and I had to ask for the itemized ticket. We forgot and went back. Same thing except my husband paid and tipped 20%. They wound up getting a $60 tip. Shady because he didn't realize they had already tipped themselves. Never going back. Too dark to read anything. Receipt did not have prices or tips. I had to ask for itemized. The itemized is where the tip was on there. Never spoke to a GM. No one notified me of anything. Not even the bartender. The amount of money should not automatically warrant a tip. Bad business. There was nothing that needed to be explained or broken down. The issue was not being notified at all.
