But gyatt damn $12 steak gyro and $11 cheeseburger and very good quality. Very filling. Smash. Love it. Love it so much. Wait was like 5 minutes btw

Great place to grab a meal. The owner is extremely welcoming, and the restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Definitely take advantage of the burger, fries, and beer deal—it’s an excellent value. The fries are outstanding, truly home-style with no extra preservatives, just authentic flavor the way food should be. Simple, honest cooking done right.

My mother and I went to Chicago Fire Grill for the first time, and from the moment we walked in, we felt the warm, homey vibe of a true mom-and-pop shop—which I love. In La Jolla, you can find a lot of businesses with very different energies, but George immediately stood out with his lighthearted spirit. He truly brightened our day from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The food was just as memorable as the atmosphere. The parmesan fries were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, cooked just right, and packed with flavor. It’s easy to see why this place has so many great reviews. I can’t wait to come back and try everything else on the menu. Chicago Fire Grill is definitely a gem worth visiting!

From Scottsdale and was craving a burger. WOW, this burger does not disappoint! 1/2 lb of top-notch beef, and well-seasoned fries. You can tell the owner really takes pride in what he serves. It's that rare combo of quality and QUANTITY. I will definitely be back to try the hot dog!

Used to come here religiously in college and found myself missing the food today. Food was always amazing and the staff were always friendly. The space and people made a very homey atmosphere and I always felt welcomed coming here. The burgers are super great! Truly a local gem.

This is my most FAVORITE burger spot in all of San Diego. George, the owner, makes sure everyone is happy and well taken care of. The quality of food served here is top tier. The Chicago dog and tzatziki platter are flavorful and well worth trying. You can even upgrade your fries to truffle fries for ONLY $2 🤤🤤

My 1st visit & I'm hooked! 👍🏼 I love 🐑 -- being Greek/Mediterranean we love our Lamb!! However, never have I had a lamb patty 🤨 Oh Mylanta Georgia (OMG) this iish was deliciously flavorful 🔥 I still can't believe I ate all but 2 bites (➖ 🍟) ; clearly my bf ate those 2 bites 😆 I wish I got the owners name bcz he sure as heck knows his herbs/spices & stayed TRUE to the Mediterranean flavors of freshly made gyro 🥙 🤤 Bf finished his huge breakfast burger, fries (which were delicious no joke) + my fries & 2 gyro bites 😂 I believe it's pretty clear you will NOT be disappointed w/ likely ANY of the menu items @ Chicago🔥Grill. Everyone wanted to eat here today & ALL left happy & satisfied 👌🏼

I almost hate to tell you people about this, because it's already too popular, but this is just amazing. Great burgers, brats, gyros for $10-12 WITH fries, and $2 beers! Family owned, the owner still cooks and serves. Just don't go between noon and 1 PM because they are absolutely slammed and parking is tough. But before and after that, totally worth it.

Amazing service and food! Highly recommend! Been back at least 10 times. Salmon salad is amazing, lamb burger is very good, hummus in tzatziki appetizer is amazing! The owner is very attentive a lot of fun to chat with! Update 3/21/25 Still one of my favorite places to get great food at reasonable prices. I find myself here at least once a week😎

Solid and super affordable beer and burger spot. You can get a burger, fries, and beer combo for $12 (can’t find this price anywhere nowadays, especially in La Jolla). The truffle parmesan fries side was extremely flavorful, definitely worth the $2 upgrade. Burger was okay, patty was cooked to my liking but I prefer a little bit more seasoning. Waitress was super nice and friendly. They have a small kitchen and not a lot of staff, so expect to wait for a little while. Overall 4.5/5

First time coming here. Parking is always a bit difficult here, but it was well worth the hassle. I wanted to order several things, but opted for just a lamb gyro. It wasn't the traditional carved gyro meat, but rather a patty. Don't let that discourage you however. It was so good and so perfect. At $12, prices are decent. Includes delicious fries that taste like potatoes. Includes free bottled water, but I didn't partake in that. Can't wait to go back and try the many other items.

Best lamb burger in my life!!! If you haven’t tried this place, you have to give a try. My friends recommended this place to us for several times. And we got to try finally! I had a lamb burger and my husband had a Chicago beef sandwich, both are amazing. I really really love my lamb burger, it’s juicy, well-balanced taste. It’s just super delicious! I highly recommend to you all!

The owner is really fun. He talked with my friend who's German and gave her an extra beer because Germans always have to have two beers! They have a $10 special with a beer and a meal, my friend's all loved it! Unfortunately not really any gluten-free options, but they didn't mind me bringing Thai food from next door to eat with my group.

Came here for dinner. We ordered at the countered and they brought the food at our table. I had the chicago dog and my mom had the packer brat. The chicago dog was full of condiments and it was very good. My order came with fries and i upgraded it to truffle fries. Our order also came with free bottled water.
