Exceptional food and exceptional service. We were in town for a quick getaway and stopped by for the Vikings game. The staff were on top of everything even though it was really busy. They were all kind, attentive, and a lot of fun! On top of that the food was fantastic! We had the calamari app, the kale & quinoa salad, and the mahi mahi. And tiramisu for dessert. Next time we're in the area we'll for sure be back!!!

I'm from MN and I was in San Diego for a short time. My son recommended this bar to watch Vikings games. I went with no expectations. It was crowded an hour before the game and never emptied out. The beer was great as well as the food! Of course, they had the Vikings game on and played music during commercials. I really liked the bar and will definitely go back if I'm in town!

This place is 5 stars for so many reasons - the atmosphere is great (perfect for padres games!), the staff is so friendly and personable, and the food and drinks are perfect. I had the carne asada and chicken tacos as well as queso and a margarita and all were great. Our larger group had such a great time getting to know the staff and loved learning about the history of Guava as well. Absolutely will be back!

What an amazing experience! We came to Guava Beach as a party of 12 for dinner and had a great time. The service was fantastic and helped us to pick a few shared appetizers. We loved the queso and ceviche as well as (something they are know for) the margaritas. The appetizers were filling but most people had the tacos for dinner. I had the harvest veggie dish and was surprised by how many options there were for vegetarians. This spot has been recently renovated and is a great friendly and approachable spot for locals and tourists alike to grab an easy meal, enjoy a nice environment and watch some sports (or just hangout!)

What an awesome place! We stumbled into it when we arrived late into town and we went back the next day. The bartenders and all of the staff were wet friendly and helpful. Extensive range of drinks but on a hot day a large frozen Margarita is tough to beat. You must try the place out.

Guava Beach, this bar and grill has a nice sporty atmosphere. Came here with my brother and his wife. We had a great time but did run into a little disappointment. Ill start with Upsides the drinks they did have available were 5 star! They even dedicated a portion of the menu to Mules. The platter appetizer had some great coco shrimp and mozzarella sticks. Whatever the marinara sauce was just made it 10x better. The entrees were nice size and we all had leftovers. The minus one star is due to lack of many menu items, being understanding we did go the day after the 4th so that could have played a major role. Very dog-friendly! They got my pups a water bowl and we were good to be inside. Atmosphere is awesome -- service too. Margaritas were good but food was only so-so -- I'm probably biased about ceviche, but I just didn't like the seasoning -- and there were more tomatoes than fish in it

I rarely visit the beach, but if I do visit PB, this is a good stop. I'd recommend this as a stop for any friends visiting that want to go to the beach. The happy hour is ideal, because beach prices can be tough. Food is great, drinks are cold, and the staff is friendly!

This place is absolutely doing it right. Good quality food excellent atmosphere nice and clean service is super fast. Shout out to Matthew our server. The menu had a lot of good options at a good value. came in on a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of tables available. I enjoyed the ambience. The food was very fresh. I will say the mahi-mahi was a little bit dry. I would definitely go back. I can’t give five stars unfortunately because they’ve got that 4% service charge snuck in at the bottom of the menu that they apply to every bill. That’s extremely low class and scummy behavior by the business. Adjust your menu prices accordingly to pay your employees don’t try and trick customers. READ YOUR BILL.

I’ve had good dine in experiences here but have also unfortunately had several mid takeout experiences here. My Item modifications are usually ignored and I was not comforted to see my takeout bag open next to some bar patron as the host went out back to look for it. Best off avoiding takeout here or ordering to-go in person & just waiting if you care for warm food.

Nice bar & Scotty makes the best Margaritas. However, if you're an immigrant you don't want to hear outdated stereotype 'jokes' about where you're from. Not if you're spending $120+ on two people. So for that alone, it's one star. Get some new jokes. Or just don't be a dick (I'm not talking about Scotty).
