Thought we would try as we were staying nearby. Perfect table on the patio. The staff was so nice. Ellie our server is the best server I’ve had in years! So personable and fun to chat with. Made my birthday even more special. My frozen strawberry margarita was excellent. Our pizzas were so delicious! We will be back on our next visit.

Loved our brunch at Hideaway in Pacific Beach! Perfect relaxing beach vibes. Beautifully designed restaurant, each room is really fun and cool, including the dog friendly patio. We enjoyed the coastal lobster omelet, lobster egg benedict, and cowabunga kid’s cheeseburger. Really good cocktails, we had the Irish coffee carajillo and Fire Marshall Bill. The service is excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Recommend!

I’m here at least twice a week. EXCELLENT food, drinks, ambience and service. Ieva, Jackson and Madison are GREAT bartenders- ask for them! Chuck is awesome too. Hands down best dishes are the Salmon, the hanging pretzel and the pot pie. Don’t sleep on this spot!

Excellent food and fantastic drinks in an awesome setting. This is THE place to be! This place was so good yesterday we came back for lunch today. Standout were the braised beef rib, chicken pot pie, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. The Pineapple Michelada and Rose Sangria were really good also.

Came here just to have a couple of drinks at the bar after walking on the beach. The Spicy Pomegranate Marg was very good. Service was reasonable based on how busy they were due to a football game being on but could have been better.

Love this place for happy hour and basically anytime! 🍹 Great cocktails and food! The hummus plate and Korean hot wings were incredible. The spicy margs for happy hour are a great deal and huge. The vibe is beachy and fun and the service is great. Easy for families and dog friendly!

The best vibe for a Sunday afternoon! We had the ham, egg & cheese scramble and the White Cheddar French Omelette - it exceeded our expectations! The quality and the flavors were delicious! I forgot to take a picture of my food before I ate it but here is a picture

The breakfast burrito with bacon really hit the spot. The eggs and tots blended magnificently and the bacon and cheese anchored with some savory notes. Service was great. Helped with ordering decorations and no top of refills etc.

The menu was outstanding, so much variety from apps, salads, pizzas. The burger ordered medium was perfect. The staff was very friendly, patient and very up beat. Will definitely return to be able to try more of the menu items!

This place is amazing. The great service started when we called to inquire about the wait time. They didnt answer, but called us back stated they were sorry to miss our call and wanted to see how they could assist us. We came here while on vacation. This was absolutely amazing. They were busy but didn't have to wait long. We lucked out and was able to enjoy happy hour. Everything we had we enjoyed. The kids loved the rigatoni and the pepperoni pizza. Such great quality meat and sauce and pairing the pizza with their hot honey is a great taste. The garlic shrimp and the blue fin poke were amazing hands down. You won't be disappointed with these dishes. The avocado topping has a great amount of heat and the creamiest one I've had. The lobster roll was good. I wish there was more meat to bread ratio but still great flavor, and the filling is cold, which I prefer, but no hot butter, which it needed. The only opportunity to improve would be for gluten-free options for being in CA little to no options. Our waiter Mario gave excellent customer service and even put up with my mother and her shenanigans. All of the staff were very nice and the place is super clean and despite being busy I did not feel cramped in by the other tables. This is an amazing place and close to the beach. We are gonna come back before our vacation is over to enjoy it again, and possibly every time we visit PB.

Walked by this place looking for my college football game on TV on a Saturday morning. My game was on multiple TVs outside which drew me in. Once inside I found there were TV's everywhere playing multiple games. I thought the setting was great. Cool outside, front bar, and back bar and restaurant. The french toast was very tasty. My wife's chicken sandwich was equally flavorful. The large Bloody Mary was very good and a great price for the size. Service was prompt. I will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is what really makes this place great. There are lots of tables indoors and outdoors, and heat lamps for warmth. The decorations are so fun and there was upbeat music playing, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. The food was good, although we only had appetizers so we didn't try very much of it. The servers and hosts were friendly and checked on us often.

Lynda needs a rise. Shouldn’t say more than that but it’s true. She was amazing. Had my huge “mom” moment making she was good throughout the CHAOS of a “frat” night, and she got it done. Lobster Mac n cheese was AMAZING, pizza is alright. I’ve had better. Dance floor is fun at night

Everything was GOOD! I’m so picky about food, and this place did not disappoint. Forgot to take pics, was too hungry. I had 12 hours braised beef with mashed potatoes. Hubby had a burger. Also had churros for dessert. Our waiter was Martin. Thank you for good food and amazing service.

We went here on the recommendation of staff at Crystal Pier. We now have a new favorite spot in PB. This place is awesome. The set up is cute and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food! Well, the food is why you go out to eat. It is fabulous. We got the hummus and the garlic shrimp. Each was perfection. Even the drinks were outstanding. I have already told family about this place, and we certainly will be back. We want to try their brunch. Go at Happy Hour if money is tight. Prices, actually, aren't too bad.

My friends and I visited The Hideaway on a Saturday night and had a great overall experience. Upon arrival, we noticed there were two separate lines: one for the bar only and another for seated dining. We chose the seated dining line and were informed of a 35-minute wait. After providing our name and phone number, we were told we’d receive a text when our table was ready. Since waiting at the bar required standing in another line for the specific bar line, we decided to walk across the street to Mavericks in the meantime. The restaurant was bustling due to a bar crawl happening that evening, with The Hideaway being one of the stops. Surprisingly, just 10 minutes later, we received a text that our table was ready, much earlier than the quoted wait time. Since we had just ordered drinks at Mavericks, we delayed responding to the text until we were heading back. Fortunately, our table was still available when we returned. We were seated on the open but roof covered patio area around 7pm, and while the ambiance was charming, it was almost unbearably cold. There wasn’t a heater near our table, and I’d strongly recommend the restaurant invest in additional heaters, especially since most of their seating is outdoors, making winter evenings quite uncomfortable. Our server was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and accommodating. For drinks, my friends ordered a Moscow Mule and a glass of Chardonnay, while I opted for a mocktail. I was delighted to learn that any of their specialty cocktails could be made alcohol-free, so I chose the Spicy Pomegranate Margarita. The drinks were a highlight! My friend called her Moscow Mule the best she’s ever had, and my mocktail had the perfect balance of flavor and a pleasant kick. For food, we asked for starter recommendations, and our server suggested the pretzel and shrimp, which my friends ordered. I chose the grilled cheese with tomato soup and a side of mac and cheese, while one friend substituted her soup for truffle fries. The food was exceptional! The pretzel was a standout, served with a candlelit cheese fondue and mustard, absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were perfectly crispy and flavorful. The tomato soup tasted homemade, though the grilled cheese could have been a bit more elevated. My friend enjoyed the shrimp. But unfortunately, the kitchen missed my friends grilled cheese order. The staff was quick to resolve the issue by removing it from the bill, only charging for her truffle fries. As the evening went on, the restaurant became even busier. We struggled to find our server for a second round of drinks but eventually ordered another Mule, a vodka martini, and a ginger beer. I had hoped for a warm drink option like hot chocolate, which they didn’t offer, a missed opportunity, especially given the cold weather. Perhaps the management could consider adding warm winter drinks to the menu. It took about 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, but our server promptly brought the check when requested. Despite the chilly weather and minor delays due to the crowd, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was fantastic, the service was kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. The Hideaway seems to be a popular spot for young college-aged guests, especially with the DJ setting up and the bar line wrapping around the building later in the night. It’s definitely a great spot for a fun evening of dining, drinks, and dancing. We’re excited to return, especially for the food, and I’m glad this new addition to Pacific Beach offers such a reasonably priced and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for dinner with friends!

We celebrated the Aries of the family with dinner here. Our party of 10 was 1 person short as my other nephew wasn’t feeling well We were able to park in their lot. A win. Aside from the interesting decor/layout, everything else was meh for me. I assumed the tip was already included with our tab due to the large size of our party. Every other establishment I’ve been to with a party of 5+ already includes the tip which typically makes the service questionable. The woman who waited on us did more socializing with her coworkers than check in on us. I had to hunt her down to get a second drink. I opted for the burger only because I was in agreement with my niece that if she gets the chicken sammich we could ho halfsies. That burger had what looked like 40% lettuce or whatever greens they used. We all got our orders ahead of my sister who got a salad. Her salad got to the table last. We all got our orders ahead solid 5 or so minutes ahead of her. I was in utter confusion. The food was ok. The highlight for me was the kombucha.

The place itself is very nice. Cool atmosphere. Some tables had a little fireplace. The food was not the best. The pretzel was decent, but the wings and chicken sandwich was not great. Wife didn't enjoy her pasta much either. Very over priced. The worst part was the service. The waitress seemed more concerned about her boyfriend in the corner than anything else. Rarely checked on anything. Definitely wouldn't go back unless it was just to sit at the bar.
