Came here for dinner with my girlfriend on a Friday night We were seated right away and provided menus. We ordered the Bulgogi Rice Bowl and the Spicy Pork Rice Bowl. They came out quick and really hot. While we did wait for our rice bowls to cone out, we were provided banchan. They were all good and had good flavor and spice to them. Our rice bowls were delicious, and the Spicy Pork had the right amount of spice for me. The staff was quick, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but we were able to have a conversation still sitting side-by-side. There is large parking for the entire plaza, but we were lucky to find parking when we arrived. The place is lit well, and clean all around. Prices are a little more than average. I wouldn't mind coming back.
Delicious Korean cuisine at Woomiok! We ordered the Seafood pancake (squid, shrimp, mussels, oysters, clam, egg), Bulgogi rice bowl, Spicy cold noodles. Everything tasted amazing, and the service was very polite and quick. Definitely recommend for authentic Korean cuisine that will leave you satisfied!
A hidden gem Everything was delicious! We ordered the seafood pancake, oxtail soup, spicy and the beef soup. Service was excellent We’re definitely coming back and trying the spicy braised short ribs.
Everything about this meal satisfied. We shared a few entrees, downed a bit of Sojo (I recommend the yogurt), nibbled our way through some delicious banchan. Topped off the meal with brothy oxtail goodness and spicy octopus.
I came here for to go order, but the galbitang had a lot of meat (very tender and soft) and the octopus stone pot rice was delicious. Store was clean and severs are kind. I'd come here again. Strongly recommend.
Found Woomiok off of Yelp. Three of us ordered: -woomiok special combo $126 seafood pancake galbi jim emperor soup $3 surcharge chicken soup $4 surcharge Food overall was very good. I didn't see the fine print, so be sure to check the surcharges if it matters. Seafood pancake was ok. Not as crispy. Galbi jim was good. Soups were good as well. Definitely too much food for 3 hungry people. More suited for 4-5 people. In the future, I definitely want to try their lunch specials! Staff is friendly. Parking is tough in the plaza.

Wonderful lunch today with my family! Excellent service and amazing food! Had the cold noodle and galbi combo. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend and we will be back!
All of the food was extremely flavorful and uniquely savory but still sweet. Although the special combos are meant for 1 person, they can DEFINITELY feed 2. My party ordered their special combo 1, popcorn chicken, and rice cakes. Their spicy cold noodles and rice cakes were just the right amount of hotness. Definitely added to the dish rather than overpowered it. Same with the side dishes. My favorite was their rice cakes. Overall solid korean spot!
we’re tourists from Vegas, a place with good korean restaurants. I would say the korean food here is wonderful! The combo is very well worth the price and delicious! I’m so surprised at the quality of the food, especially at Thanksgiving eve! Highly recommended!

Excellent Korean food! Was surprised with the quality, flavors, and portions. The food was really fresh and delicious across the board. We couldn't find a dish we didn't like. Service was great and the restaurant was inviting. Get here early as parking and lines can form. Will be back!
Came here for lunch with my mom. There was still plenty of parking at 11 AM. We were seated right away. Ordered the cold noodle soup and mom had the spicy beef soup with vegetables. Both soups were delicious. The bon chons were very tasty and fresh as well. A definite go to for good comfort soups.
It is our first time in this restaurant. We were in the area during lunchtime and looking for a Korean restaurant that is not “All you can Eat”. This had excellent reviews. It is a casual restaurant. The customer service is not stellar since they seemed to be understaffed. There was only 1 waiter and it was busy. The menu is limited and there were mostly beef dishes & no chicken. The menu items were on the pricey side. I don’t eat beef so we ordered spicy pork sizzling plate and seafood pancake. The food, side dishes, and sauces were tasty. The spicy pork had little meat and lots of onions. This is why I am giving the restaurant 4 stars vs 5 stars.
The Convoy spot for authentic Seolleongtang (beef bone soup). Their milky-white broth, slow-cooked for 24 hours, is pure comfort food—perfect for a cold day or a hangover cure. Don't skip the delicious banchan, especially the kimchi. A must-try Korean staple.
Been wanting to try this place for a while and picked a cold day to get some hot soup. It was good but not as great as I had hoped. Menu is limited for what most would consider affordable options. Pay attention to not accidentally order something that would lead to a surprise bill because my partner pointed out what I almost ordered. Highly recommend the naengmyeon if you like cold spicy noodles
Spicy octopus 🐙 with rice is the bomb!!! I was excited for oxtail soup but it was bland :( Bolgogi rice on a stone bowl was also a hit. Overall the food was good. Spicy octopus was the best. Otherwise nothing really stood out. We saw our server 3 times- when we placed our order, when the food came, and when we paid. My water cup was empty 10 minutes into my meal and was empty for the remaining stay. I wouldn't come back just because of the poor service.
Overall good Korean restaurant specializing Korean “Tang (soup)” dishes in San Diego. 2/3/22 I ordered cabbage beef ribs soup (우거지갈비탕) for takeout and had first disappointing soup. Its broth tasted watery and I hope this is one off as this is my go to Korean restaurant in San Diego. 2/28/22 I had spicy cold noodle and beef short ribs combo. The sauce and noodle were so-so. (BTW I’m still looking for good cold noodle in SD). The short ribs were good though. It was meatier than other restaurant. 12/12/22. The takeouts have been insistent. 🙁
Enjoyed the brisket soup. Heard the person next to me order without the noodles and rice, which I will do next time too! Side dishes were good and they are pretty efficient. The braised short rib in hot stone looked so good. I would come back to try!
This place is really busy which is a good sign = good food. We had the seafood, pancake & beef bone soup with brisket and all the Korean condiments with hot tea. Our waiter torched the cheese on top of the bone soup at the table... impressive. Food was great. Plenty for three people and the service was good.

Got beef short rib soup. Meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. Soup was good, appreciate that they keep the salt/msg separate and you can add as you want or not at all; even without adding the soup was delicious. Rice seemed over cooked though, maybe just that batch.

I’ve heard about this place, so I wanted to give it a try when I was craving soup. We ordered a bowl of beef bone soup with brisket and a spicy pork hot stone bowl. The soup was plain; no bone soup flavor. Adding salt and green onion didn’t really bring out the bone soup flavor. The hot stone bowl was tasty. The banchan dishes were okay. I’ve had better Korean beef bone soup elsewhere, and it’s definitely not the same as compared to the ones from Seoul. The service was okay, and the ambiance wasn’t anything special.
Nice Korean restaurant specializing Korean “Tang (soup)” dishes in San Diego. Very clean interior atmosphere and there are outdoor dining as well. I’ve had few of their soups and they were all good (meat portions on low side). Side dishes are delicious. Price have increased a bit from older menus listed here so be aware. Definitely dine in for these dishes since they are not a takeout friendly dishes. Overall, must try Korean restaurant in San Diego! Updates 3/2023: They have updated & raised prices on each dishes again. Less variety to choose from and service has been on the decline. Still a good Korean dinning option in San Diego but with constant price increase and no improvement to show for, I’m subtracting a star. 3.3/5 ⭐️

Not sure what happened to woomiok. Non existent service. Didn't give plates/bowls for banchans. We ate it anyway and never got refills despite telling us he'd be back with it. We sat outside and had to go inside to flag them down to place our order. Had to go inside to beg for water. Noodles were not cooked through all the way for all of us. Friends and I used to come for soup all the time(though I never liked it that much but just went along), but now I'll make sure to never recommend this place again. Rip.
