We ordered smoked salmon pizza from their secret menu and it was delicious. The pizza dough was fresh and Hamid served us very well.
Amore Woodfire Pizza: Fire-Kissed Pies and Fantastic Wings! If you're searching for authentic, jaw-dropping pizza, look no further than Amore Woodfire Pizza. This place doesn't just serve pizza; it serves a true culinary experience, transporting you straight to the heart of Italy with every bite. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the crust. Cooked in their traditional woodfire oven, the dough emerges with that perfect, slightly chewy texture and beautiful "leoparding"—those signature blistered, charred spots that signify true Neapolitan perfection. It’s light, airy, and strong enough to hold even the heartiest toppings. We ordered the Meatlovers Pizza and the Chicken Wings Buffalo, and both were outstanding. The Meatlovers was a generous, balanced creation—loaded with flavorful, high-quality meats but never feeling greasy or heavy, thanks to that light, airy woodfire crust. It manages to satisfy those classic cravings while still maintaining an artisan touch. The sides are just as impressive; the Buffalo Wings had the ideal balance of heat and tang, with a perfectly crisp skin and juicy interior. They make for a fantastic appetizer or accompaniment to the main event. Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere at Amore is warm and inviting. The rustic decor, combined with the subtle scent of burning oak and fresh dough, creates a cozy, lively ambiance. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food, which made the whole evening delightful. Amore Woodfire Pizza has instantly become our new favorite spot. Whether you're a purist who loves a classic pie or someone looking for bold, satisfying flavors (and amazing wings!), you owe it to yourself to experience the magic of their woodfire oven. Five stars!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant, a place I truly love. The staff always greets you with such kindness, making every visit feel special. The food is incredible-full of flavor, quality, and care. I have to say, the pizza is the best I’ve tasted since Italy! Every dish feels like it’s made with love. If I could, I’d give this place 100 stars.
Best Italian restaurant! Pizza was so good as much as pesto pasta and Alfredo pasta were good! It was great to stop by after visiting the San Francisco zoo.
That's Amore has live music. Well, I got here at 8pm on a Wednesday as the musicians were packing up. Today's order was a caprese $18, combo $21 pizzas and a creamy pesto spaghetti $13. The food was ready in 15 minutes. The caprese pizza didn't have a strong pesto taste. Rather, it had a zingy tomato flavor. It was a good contrast with the mozzarella cheese. As for the combo pizza, this was OK too. My preference is a more thick dough. The creamy pesto spaghetti was good. Great job everyone at That's Amore.
Sure! Here’s a positive review for That’s Amore in San Francisco: That’s Amore is a hidden gem in San Francisco! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The pizza is absolutely incredible—perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and just the right balance of flavors. Whether you go for a classic Margherita or one of their creative specialty pies, you won’t be disappointed. The service is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you’re a pizza lover, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
I remember back in the day when this place used to be a coffee shop before transitioning to a pizza spot. I have drove past here many times, but did not get a chance to try it out either because it was fully packed or parking was not the best. Finally the day has come, and I ordered through DoorDash. Their menu is simple, it consists of their specialty pizzas, you can build you own pizza, salads, starters, drinks and much more. All of their goods come from a wood fired oven, which gives it a touch of balanced smokiness on the crust. Everything is made to order which is a plus for me since I am a very patient person and I never mind the wait. When I received my order, the pizza was still hot like it has just came out the oven and all the topping held on pretty good. Lastly, this place is a plus in the neighborhood, because there are not many pizza/italian options within the area. I highly recommend this place to all pizza enthusiasts, anyone looking to try something new or if you want a laid back spot to enjoy some food and drinks. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.
That’s Amore has got to be my favourite place in SF! The owners are lovely people and they’ve always taken such good care of us. I would recommend chatting with them, they’re very funny guys. Every time I would walk in, they’d know exactly what I would want🥺 I really recommend trying out their pasta’s, I loooooove the pesto!!! It’s so good. We always left the place so full and so happy.
This is a neighborhood gem! Of course their wood fired pizza is at the top of the list. It is thin crust and covered with fresh ingredients. It's also the perfect size to share with a friend along with any of their delicious salads. The interior is bright and well designed. There are tvs to watch those mid day soccer games. The owner and staff are friendly and inviting. Highly recommended.........
I am amazed by this place. The vibe is relaxing and the staffs are very nice. The food is so fresh and tasty. The salmon salad is light and refreshing. The burrata pizza is a bomb! The pizza is crusty on the crust and tender in the middle. The best part is the burrata, so fresh and milky. The lasagna is also delicious. The overall theme is the fresh and lightness that you won't find much in Americanized pizza restaurant. You can still have room for dessert and coffee. To be honest, the chocolate lava cake is not that great (I have a very high standard on the lava cake). However, the rest of the experience is so good that I can ignore the minor downside. Oh, the mocha. It is huge and not too sweet! Worth getting one!
I love the wood fired flavor of the pizza crust. Me, my wife and son all have our favorite pie. So we usually get three and then enjoy leftovers. But we all agree that the salad is amazing. I don't remember which one, sorry. But it had cheese on it. Not helpful, I know. I'm glad that Amorė is a part of our neighborhood. Eat local!!! March 2024, This is still one of our favorite spots. We feel so pleased to watch this restaurant mature as a staple on Ocean Ave.
I had the St Claire Taekwondo. Sausage, basil, Mozzarella ~ the pizza was very good. Only advice would be; to put a more intense/flavourful fennel sausage on here and this pizza would have been amazing. Nice place, low-key, yet quality. Friendly staff

There’s a reason 400+ folks give it 5 stars. One the last few wood fire pizza kitchens that allow you to customize your pie

Recently my family treated me to a birthday dinner at That’s Amore❗️(my 4th visit in the past 1 1/2 yrs.) & it’s quickly becoming my fav for Italian in SF❗️Their variety of very fresh salads, piping-hot entree’s like their vegetarian -spinach lasagna, spaghetti-meat balls, wood-fired pizzas with gluten-free (option) crusts! Generous portions for the price, and friendly servers every time, no matter how busy. Reservations recommended after 5:30pm, and free on-street parking after 6pm has always been available, especially around the corner from the entrance.
Been here twice for a sit down experience, the staff are really friendly, and the pizza is excellent! It is a thin crust that folds well, with high quality ingredients that makes for an amazing experience. The jalapeños are fresh (not the pickled variety), so you get a nice kick if you add that as a topping. This is our new go-to spot for pizza.

We can’t say enough about the wildfire pizza catering truck experience with Amore!! We had our party yesterday and from the first time we spoke to book it the experience was incredible! Attention to detail, responsive, not just on time but early, service was incredible and food was absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to do it again! Highly recommend- ours was a graduation/ college she’s off but I am going to work with them on our corporate events now!! Whoo hoo Thank you so very much for making our event so great!!
Best brick oven pizza me and my family has had in a long time! Salads are also huge and delicious 😋 you can share one salad between a few people it’s a sharing portion. Overall a good experience and would definitely go again next time me and my family visit California!
I decided to try this place while I was in the area, mainly because the photos of the pizzas looked great and the reviews were very positive. Maybe that set my expectations a bit too high. Overall, the experience was good, but not impressive. The pizza itself was decent, with okay ingredients and solid flavor, but nothing that really stood out or felt particularly memorable. The atmosphere was very basic and didn’t add much to the overall experience. It’s a good option if you’re nearby and looking for a simple pizza, but I was expecting something a bit more authentic and distinctive based on what I had seen online.
Ordered on door dash the meat lovers. Reminds me of Tony's New Yorker just without ricotta. Maybe I'll try it as a add-on next time. It's pretty good overall but a bit on the saltier side and I think the pizza is quite small for the price. I'll try to dine in next time! Update: Add Ricotta to the Meat Lovers and it's the best pie out there! I just wish it was bigger

The price point was low and the pizza was good, it had a thin fluffy crust with good ingredients and it arrived hot. The french fries weren't french fries though, and it wasn't explained to me that they would be substituting with mushy curled potatoes. So I took a star for that. And the chicken tenders we ordered were frozen/ precooked & burnt in places while still cold in others. So I took a star for that as well. Customer service was fine beyond not communicating the substitution in the order.

Friday afternoon service was great. Food came out quick, pizza was phenomenal, and so was the grain bowl. I was so impressed by first impression that I went the next day (Saturday) for lunch again. I was the only one in there, so I knew I would get served quick. The only thing I ordered that was different this time was I added chicken to my grain bowl. It was so bad...dry, and seemed old. I asked them to remake and they literally brought me the exact same thing and had the audacity to tell me it was freshly made. So they lied to me. For this reason alone, I will not be coming back. There is no reason why on a Saturday afternoon, you can't take 8 minutes to fire up a fresh piece of chicken and serve it fresh (not dry like it was microwaved). So sad and very disappointing.

Ordered takeout pizza and it was ready way too quickly. Seemed fishy to me. They just sprinkle your toppings above their premade cheese pizzas instead of baking them with the pizza.
Lame service. Walk in 40 min before close ( I work in the service industry) politely asked if it was too late. Hostess says no.. and then refused cash payment.. register closed. Went ahead and took my order, then slapped out a pie in 3 min. Wood fired annoyed is more like it. Felt like a bother to the staff ... trying this spot for the first time.. as I live around the corner. Not so much great neighborhood love.
