This is a wonderful restaurant that represents Sichuan cuisine excellently. A friend of mine from Sichuan said the food here is even better than in Sichuan. The dishes are very flavorful and not necessarily very spicy. Good white pork and kung pao chicken. Great fish dishes too!
We ordered spicy and non spicy dishes here. Lamb meat dry fried with Sichuan spices on toothpicks was quite good. Also sautéed green pea sprouts were excellent. Shredded pork meat with steamed buns were delicious as well as the steamed carp fillet in sour and spicy soup. There are much more traditional Sichuan dishes here. Highly recommended.
Food is delicious. To me it’s not spicy enough; but the numbing hot 麻 flavor is strong!
The food here is amazing. The fried red pepper chicken is the best I've had: it's salty, spicy, and flavorful. The staff is very friendly, always making us feel right at home. A must visit!
Dan Dan Noddles are amazing. The beef noodle soup is VERY numby so be warned. Very cheap prices and massive portions.
We always come to this place when we visit LA. Really authentic Chinese food.

I used to eat orange chicken and the teriyaki, but finding this place with my Chinese friend changed the whole way to eat Chinese food! This place has traditional Chinese food! I loved the lamb soup with noodles and their could flower with pork is super delicious a must try if you visit this place! Also the buns with beef is good!
I hope this place never closes or change their menu. It has the most authentic Sichuan food. The spicy lamb and spicy chicken are to die for. We've tried all the sichuan restaurants pretty much but we keep coming back to this one even though it is far from where we live.
Have been enjoying this Sichuan / Szechwan restaurant since 2017. Love their food, especially the spicy boiled fish, snow pea sprouts, and the cold deli bar choices. Attractive remodeling since the scamdemic/plandemic peak, too.

We visited this restaurant during a family trip to Cali and were so glad we tried it! The dishes had great flavor and real “wok hay.” Most of what we ordered was excellent — the lamb stir-fry was especially delicious. The only dish that wasn’t my favorite was the clams, as the first piece had a slightly fishy taste. Other than that, everything was great. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try!
I LOVE THIS PLACE . if you're looking for mala dishes, this is the place. service was excellent. the eggplant was amazing!
Good authentic Chinese! I liked the cold dishes. It's in Focus Plaza, so there are many options when you come to the area.
Everything here has Chilis or peppers and can be very spicy to some (hence the restaurant name). They do very well preserving the traditional Hunan taste. If you like spicy Chinese food, this is a must try!
Spicy City is on the 2nd level in the sprawling mall anchored by the San Gabriel branch of 99 Ranch Market. Parking can be extremely difficult on weekends. I went with a group of regulars. Items ordered included: Fried Chicken cubes with hot pepper; Spicy Shrimp; cabbage; Cumin lamb; mung bean noodles; shredded pork (aka "pork belly with preserved vegetable); Chungking style cold noodles; and sweet rice ball soup for dessert. No banquet room, but there's one large round table in the corner, which can comfortably seat 10 people. There was a group of over 25 people who were divided across three adjacent tables. Taste is not very Americanized and over 90% of clientele were Asian during my last visit. Highlights were the Cumin lamb on toothpicks and the Fried Chicken Cubes with Hot Pepper. It's an acquired taste, but I really enjoyed the Special Sweet Rice Ball Soup; the base was a sweetened soup of sweet fermented rice wine with the grains, cooked egg strands and sweet rice balls filled with black sesame paste.
Wait staff were difficult to understand. Pictures for menu helped. Dishes were larger than expected. A lot more food for the money
Kung Pao is very good, lamb cumin could be better...

Sunday evening, middle of October 2021- The food here is very good. Come on folks start eating here or at least getting take-out. Business like this cannot survive without your support. Our party of 4 ordered 5 dishes and finished them all. You won't regret getting food here, but you will be worse off if another really good restaurant goes under.

Hair found in Water Boiled Lamb. Extremely disgusting. I am a short hair and this is a long hair. Surely doesn’t belong to me. The shop refunded this item and gave me 10 USD. Will you eat a soup with hair in it for 10 USD?
Came here for lunch with my partner. Door wide open. OPEN sign bright as day. As we walked in they yelled “WE ARE CLOSED” as everyone else is eating inside lol. Let’s face it. I AM BLACK. It is 2021. This has to stop.

It was a good restaurant, but as it changed owners, the food quality is getting worse and price steeper. Most importantly, they are very dishonest trying to rip you off at this point. What I ordered is "dry pot cauliflower" which is 9.99 on the door flyer, but was charged 14.99 for "dry pot organic cauliflower" in the laminated menu, the women argued that I didn't mention "special price"! Also, they always give you a takeout menu with reasonable price, but when you come to pick up, they will tell you the prices were outdated. For such dishonest people, it's unlikely they would be responsible in other aspects . This would be the last time I dealt with them.
