A great friendly place to eat. You order your entrée, which can be one of several different styles of chicken, a chicken fried steak, or fried fish. Then all the sides are unlimited and served family style. It’s outstanding. One of my favorite places to eat.

Great food with all you can eat mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, biscuits, creamed corn, and salad. There were a few different kinds of chicken, from smoked chicken on the bone to chicken tenders, chicken fried steak, salmon, and a couple other options. It was very filling and an excellent meal. There was also live singing, which was BEAUTIFUL! What an experience it was to enjoy dinner at Babe's!

Babe’s never disappoints. The service and food is awesome. Love the fried chicken and fried fish. Mash potatoes, green beans and corn were all very good. All of the babes locations that I have been in seem to employe young people. I am not sure what the rules are for working at Babes but the young people that work at these restaurants are always so pleasant and kind. You all know this is not something that is the norm these days. Thanks Babe’s for teaching these kids how to be awesome adults.

My wife and I went to Babe’s after hearing friends describe how good the food at Babe’s was. We were not disappointed. It was like eating food at my mom’s. The portions were satisfying. The wait staff were very nice and attentive. We will definitely be going back. If you leave Babe’s hungry, it’s your own damn fault.

Unexpected delight in Sanger! Minimal menu options,-chicken strips, half chicken smoked or fried, or cat fish served family style with all the sides- green beans, corn, salad, and potatoes with gravy. Yet, its served quickly and hot by fun wait staff. They even dance the Hokey Pokey! Get off 35 and head down town for a good meal. Feels like home

In the area and wanted to try this place, so glad we did. All I had heard was it was family friendly but did not know what to expect. Family style restaurant you choose your chicken (or fried catfish) and all sides are included/unlimited . 5 and under eat free! We had chicken tenders and fried chicken. We had a great server. All the food was so good! Especially loved the biscuits, corn, and mashed potatoes! Loved the lively/friendly atmosphere. 10/10 recommend!

All around a cool and tasty experience. The only issue we had was noise, between the other tables, radio, & line dance sing along it was a bit noisy for us. Still worth going to and amazing smoked chicken. The service was exceptional and very friendly. I felt at home. 🤠

Went there for the first time today.Not a ton of parking but it's on the square so that's to be expected. The food was great, my husband had the catfish and it's the only place I haven't had to hear complaints after ordering it. The sides are unlimited refills. The staff was very friendly and the food came to our table fast as well! The decor is.. unique. I mean.. look at that giant chicken located in the front! It's pretty awesome.

We found this place on accident. We pulled off the highway, looking for BBQ. We made a couple of wrong turns then saw a giant chicken with lots of people outside. You know they say "If a restaurant is crowded, it's because it's good." That is so true. It was packed, but we were seated within 5 minutes. Everyone in your party orders a separate entree (choose from 2 kinds of chicken, chicken fried steak, catfish, or chicken tenders) then the sides are all served family style with green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Salad and homemade biscuits come out first. We LOVED the food. White gravy just like my mom makes. Chicken fried steak is huge and so tender you can cut it with a fork. Kiddos ate about 5 helpings of mashed potatoes and gravy, and so many chicken tenders. Family style is a great way to eat. The atmosphere was fun.

Never a disappointment. The food is always 👌. If you have never been it is a must try. An experience you won't forget.

FOOD IS AWESOME, as always. You can never go wrong with Babes! The atmosphere is friendly and the are people polite. The wait staff are spot on and check on you often.

Went to Babes on a Saturday night. Got a table for four in 15 minutes. I had the smoked chicken which was delicious. My friend ordered the fried catfish which was also delicious. Every side was amazing also. 10/10 would recommend.

I just had the best hot meal here. My husband and I shared a chicken fried steak & they give you all sides with it. Mashed potatoes, green beans & corn. Not to mention before that biscuits and salad. Its family style and it was amazing! We also got to see some live entertainment a waitress sang and all other wait staff did a line dance. It's was nice. Can't wait to go back. It's so cute outside too.

We love Babes! Anytime we drive down to Dallas we have to stop on our way there or our way back. Some of the best fried chicken. 🤌 You purchase the chicken in pieces of 4, and they come with unlimited sides. The servers sing and line dance and have beautiful voices.

Great place!! We were out of towners, looking for a place to eat. It was a full house. We ordered 2 orders of fried chicken which included 4 pieces, they do have sides that the table shares. Not a bad prices either. Paid $17.49. They do however don’t have to go plates, only bags which was interesting! Overall it was great! So check it out!

Babe’s Chicken is a unique eating experience where you get to choose from a selection of fried chicken, chicken tenders, chicken fried steak and a couple of other meats. Then they bring you endless sides of green beans, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, biscuits and salad. Yes, endless sides! The atmosphere is entertaining with singing waitresses and lots to check out on the walls. Delicious food and a clean environment, one of my favorite places to eat.

The food is always awesome at Babe’s. I arrived a day early before I have to work in Tyler this week. Headed to my sisters house to surprise her & Mom and the rest and since it was lunchtime we headed to Sanger. I love the chicken fried steak, it is an old favorite. But I can’t get that every time so today was catfish. No room for dessert this trip.

Always a true delight!! Haven't made it back in a few years and it's every bit as delicious as we remembered it! Today we had the chicken tenders and they are the best around! Served family style and the sides..😍 I could live on the green beans and salad! Service is FABULOUS as always! Keigan was our server and she was wonderful!

Wonderful local landmark! There is a reason people come all the way to Sanger for Babe’s! No, multiple reasons. Great food, fun atmosphere, friendly service and a unique dining experience. Where else do you get 1/2 a fried chicken and all the sides you want? And DELICIOUS sides! Buttery corn, bacony green beans, crisp salad, fluffy hot biscuits, creamy gravy and smooth mashed potatoes! So so yummy! The unique dining experience isn’t just in the eclectic tables & chairs, or the fun chicken decor, or classic tunes, but also in the family style food service. Everyone can choose what they want and how much! If you want to keep the bowls of potatoes and gravy for yourself (and why not?!), just ask your friendly server for more! Highly recommend Babe’s in Sanger!

Great meal and large portions. Babes brings you a platter of your preferred meat, salad, biscuits, gravy, corn, green beans, and mashed potatoes. It's a lot of food and is what I call comfort food, the kind of stuff you used to get at large family gatherings at grandmas. We couldn't finish it so we asked for our check, desert to go, and a box to bring the leftovers home. This is where it gets strange: they'd allow me to take my meats home but not the veggies. They wanted to toss out the leftover veggies since they were served family style. I'll post pictures but it was a lot of food and for a 50 dollar tab for two I'd like to have what's left for lunch the next day. We spoke with the manager (I hate having to do that) and he explained since the veggies were "bottomless" bowls people would order a second or third round and ask to take it home, abusing their hospitality. I get it but we were on our first round and they chose the portions to bring us so I kindly asked they let me take it home. He relented and we brought it home but I still left with the feeling they thought we were trying to game their system. To me it seems a shame that their policy requires them to toss out edible food and it makes me wonder what they do with it afterwards. Trash? Compost? It makes no sense to me and for that reason I may rethink my next trip to Babes.

There are not enough GREAT things to say about this place!! The food is always cooked perfectly....never dry either! The fried chicken has a wonderful, tasty crispy outside with JUICY chicken inside!! The service is always phenomenal as well! Perfect for a big family to enjoy a home cooked meal without the work or hassle.

Great food, service and clean restrooms. Only 5 things to choose from on the menu so really easy. Singing waitress, just one I believe and was really good. So had alittle entertainment along with our meal. Not sure if all Babe's are like this but I am pretty sure the food will be the same. Wife an I had the smoked chicken and was great. Our boy had the fried, he said way better than KFC. Most of the rest of the group had the chicken fried steak and it was polished off. Bottle less biscuits, corn and mashed potatoes were excellent. Greenbeans has pork in them so didn't try them as we don't eat pork or catfish that were also on the menu. If you have a group like us, they will not set you until everyone is there. Wait outside on old tractor sets or in the waiting area on old car sets a friendly cat who loves pets or sit in all kinds of chairs. There is a gift shop next door but not connected with Babe's I don't think. Enjoy!

One of the best fried chickens I have ever had this is nothing to compare to KFC and/or Popeyes I have never had a chicken breast so juicy so fresh that is on believable if you’re in the Dallas area look for a babes chicken it’s one of the best places I’ve ever been for fried chicken. I have been to all the Babe's Chicken in North Texas. This Sanger,Tx location is the best one that I've ever been to. They have the Entree. Not all have Catfish,Fried Chicken,Chicken Fried Steak,Chicken fingers. We will definitely be back. It's worth the drive.

The fried chicken here is amazing, and the endless sides are very tasty. They are usually very busy and it is a long wait, but worth it. The service is always amazing. The place is big and can accommodate large parties, but, they do pack people in, the tables are close together and most times it's quite crowded. But again, totally worth it, if you come once, you will definitely go again.

We love this place! Good food, good service, and worth our drive from Oklahoma to eat here occasionally. Love the little downtown area in Sanger, too.

Our server Erin in Sanger said she has been working there for 10 years and you could tell. She was amazing she took such great care of us and had patience with my little dude. The food was great but she made it that much better because of her we will be back.

We ate at Babe’s tonight. The food and atmosphere was great. Emmy was our server so delightful, seemed to truly enjoy her job, and girl and sing!!! We’ll be back soon.

Our server EMMY was awesome and can SING!! Definitely would ask for her by name. We ordered both the fried chicken and the chicken fried steak, and both were delicious—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The family-style sides were great too, especially the mashed potatoes and biscuits. One thing I didn’t totally get was the salad—it’s made with vinegar and sugar instead of offering a classic option with ranch. It would be nice to have a choice there. The desserts looked fantastic, but after such a big meal, we had to take them to go! Overall, it’s a really cool place to bring the family—good food, fun atmosphere, and great service. We’ll definitely be back.

A must-do experience in Sanger. You pick your main dish, and they bring all-you-can-eat sides for the table. The chicken fried steak was huge and flavorful. The sides were all classic, home-style hits—the green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes were all great. Service was friendly and attentive, keeping our bowls and biscuits full. It's loud and lively, which adds to the fun atmosphere. Don't skip the dessert!

We had a group of 10 for lunch here. This is one restaraunt that I don’t mind coming with a big group because the wait staff are always great with big groups here. (Not so at many restaurants) The food was great as normal! My only complaint (if you could call it that) is the serving size for the main dish on the kids menu. My kids both ordered catfish. They each only got one rather small piece. I know the sides are unlimited, so we definitely didn’t go away hungry. But I felt like the serving size could have been a bit bigger.

Cant beat Babes for quality food and fun! This is a great location! The servers are top notch. The tenders are so good and you get a huge amount! You wont leave hungry. The prices are a bit high, but when the food quality is good its justified.

Great experience. I'm the bald guy with ALL the chicken-fried steak on my plate before passing the platter around. Two of our group were locals. The rest of us were from out of state. I'm Canadian. You just can't get chicken-fried steak in Canada, and I had a hankering for somee during this trip. The salad wasn't all that impressive, but everything else was amazing. And our server (Erin, I think) was so welcoming. She took our group picture. I joked with her that since the chicken-fried steak platter was in front of me, "I don't know what everyone else is having for lunch..." If ever I'm back in Dallas, I'd come back!!

Everything is family style. Everyone is serving themselves at the table. Everything is scratch-made. The staff has the menu memorized [i like to see the cost]. Sides are refillable. Meat comes on a separate plate. Chicken fry is large. Catfish is 3 fillets, filling but not a lot of pieces. The mashed potatoes and Gravy are my personal favorite!! There is honey, butter, and sorghum [a cross between molasses and maple syrup] on the table.

Always a fun place to go. The food is served family style and is delicious. Come hungry for sure because they give you loads of food. You choose your chicken and the sides are bottomless. The atmosphere is very unique and every hour the servers are doing something together or individually to entertain, from dancing to singing. It’s a wonderfully entertains place that good for the whole family and is not only a place to eat but a destination. The prices are good, the food comes quickly and the service is awesome. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The chicken is amazing. My group tried both the fried and smoked chicken and both were full of flavor and juicy. The sides were really good with the Italian style green beans having a great taste of smoked bacon. The potatoes were super creamy and the gravy was thick and peppered. The corn had a fire roasted taste and was also very good. The waitress Mykiyla I think was her name was very good and extra caring for those of a little more attention in the group. The atmosphere was pleasing with the open room and all the decorations but the music was just a touch loud for normal conversation. Overall this was a great place with the portion being way more than one person could eat and the family style dining. You get 4 pieces of chicken or fish and the sides I mentioned early with refills on the sides. Give them a try!

Two people had the chicken fried steak and really liked it. I had the chicken strips and they were very small, not well seasoned and pale. I didn't enjoy them. The biscuits were good. We all liked the corn and the others enjoyed the mashed potatoes and green beans.

Babes is an experience! The singing and dancing is fun! We had the chicken fried steak, smoked chicken, fried chicken, and chicken tenders. The sides are amazing (mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn, green beans, and biscuits). Solid family dinner spot!

We loved the quaint location of this location. The smoked chicken was a bit smaller than what we’re used to when we get the fried chicken. Everything tasted delicious and the staff was friendly as can be expected at a Babe’s establishment.

Fun Hopping place off the square in downtown Sangar. Plenty of free parking, you just might have to walk a ways. Expect to wait on busy nights. Staff is great. Fried chicken is very good except every time I have been to a Babes, at least one of the smaller pieces tastes burnt. Not good. Sides are ok, not great.

What a fun place to dine. Our waitress was warm, attentive and amazing. We ordered everything on the menu and thought most of it was good. The atmosphere is fun. The wait staff are made to have regular performances moments, showing off their singing and their preschool dancing talents (hokey pokey). The management can work on a more supportive atmosphere for their employees, considering not too many even faked a smile during their time in the lime light. Overall a fun fun place.

The place is very loud so it is hard to carry on a conversation with people at your table. Our server was not very helpful and took long periods of time and sometimes multiple requests to get items we wanted. The food however was excellent. I'm sure it just was a bad night for her.

Live the food here its awesome. The sides steal the show but the mains are great too. The one drawback is the soft drinks they are garbage. Absolutely undrinkable get water trust me.

You can never go wrong with Babes! We ordered the fried chicken & chicken fried steak. The vegetables are all you can eat. The mashed potatoes- cream corn - green beans are delicious! The salad is just lettuce/ however the dressing makes up for it. Dinner biscuits with butter & honey are amazing! The atmosphere is great along with their service. A little pricey- but what isn’t nowadays. Give them a try!

I remember pan-fried chicken in Roanoke TX in the late 90's, this wasn't very good in Sanger..... it's deep fried nothing special at all. It's cool atmosphere and everything but food isn't what it used to be..... new owners new ideas, cut here save there.....etc. I'd just go to cracker barrel It's cheaper and better. You took the best thing they had and ruined it. Service was good though. Another thing too was the bowls of sides.... that was for like two people? You gonna wear them waitresses out, the tea glasses too! I had talked this place up for over 600 miles on our road trip talking about how it will be the best chicken you've ever had! Well the only thing missing was a Big Clown Punch to the Face!!!!! We probably won't be back.

Service on my last trip deserves even less stars but the food brings the average back up. Servers seem to congregate in the kitchen area hanging out, waited 8 minutes to be greeted and get a drink order, we went ahead and placed our food order also, food came pretty quick, server never checked on us, had to wave him down to get refills, we watched him hang out in the kitchen while we waited for our check until I got tired of waiting and went to the front to pay without a check, I guess he noticed at that point and brought me the check at the computer. Watched several others with more attentive servers come and go while we waited. The food will keep me coming back, but I really hope management can do something about training wait staff.

The salad is lettuce only with the house dressing. No option of dressings, no tomato or crackers. The chicken fried steak is ok with no gristle. The sides were also ok and the green beans taste and look like home canned. I believe the mashed potatoes are instant. They offered the salad and homemade biscuits before the main course. Through the meal our waiter kept checking for our needs and bringing the sided dishes as needed. I cannot recommend the sweet, iced tea. I like mine stronger and slightly sweeter but there was artificial sweetener on the table. 7-13-25

The catfish was pretty good but tye chicken fried steak and fried chicken were well short of anything expected. The salad is nothing but some old lettuce tossed in some vinegarette, green beans were kinda greasy and flavorless, and the mashed potatoes are more like a playdough consistency. The waitress was really nice and attentive but the restaurant was very loud, not just people talking but the music was really loud. We were at this restaurant quite a few years back and it was pretty good. After this last trip I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than saying that you've been there.

A really quaint local place that has some nice ambiance but also isn't as great as people might make it seem. A group of us came for dinner on Wednesday night and overall had an enjoyable experience. The wait staff will occasionally sing a song on live microphones or do a line dance which is entertaining to see. Two of the waitresses saying Fleetwood Mac's dreams, and did an outstanding job at it. The fried chicken was okay. It was really crispy, moist but overly salted and didn't really have a lot of flavor. The sides included green beans which were really vinegary, mashed potatoes that were great with a gravy. One of the biggest issues with the restaurant is they don't have a liquor license, so after a long hot day you can't sit down and have a beer with your fried chicken A beer from a great selection of drafts. Overall, it's okay if you want to get a little bit of local flavor, but there are other great restaurants around

The food has lost its touch here. At least in the catfish side. The fillers were small and crunchy at the ends but had great flavor . The meat fried steak was super thin and falling apart and a bit chewy in areas . The side unlimited dishes tasted freaking good and so did the salad. The Biscuits OK these were phenomenal especially with the honey .

This place sure has went down hill over the years, We went last night and the chicken fried steak has shrunk to a kids size and mostly crust. There are so many better chicken fried steaks at different restaurants. The only thing good about this place are the sides.

We have always loved Babes and have been many times over the years. Today’s experience wasn’t so great unfortunately. The food and atmosphere was great like always but my issue today was the fact that we ordered two proteins and decided to split one of them with my autistic son that has texture issues when it comes to food so he doesn’t eat anything but the fried chicken. I told our waitress this and she said she had to charge me for an extra sides plate but didn’t inform me that that plate was over $10 so I ended up paying over 28.00 for my son and I to share the chicken and him not even touch a side. Our family of 3 paid $60 for our meal, which had we all eaten it I would not mind but that wasn’t the case, I tried explaining this to the person at checkout and was just told I’m sorry that’s our policy if you split a protein we have to charge for the side plate. I paid it but I will not be back to eat inside the restaurant, we will order take out to avoid this. I’m not sure why it would be expected for a child to order a full meal of their own anyway, we didn’t even finish ours that we split. I hate giving a bad review but this “policy” was not handled appropriately if you’re expecting a child to eat a full meal on their own.

A Lunch on a Saturday for 4 adults and two children was $100, before tip. All of us drank waters. It was $20 for the catfish entree that came with three medium to small size pieces of fried catfish. The chicken tenders were dry, like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, or probably reheated from the previous day. The mash potatoes were straight out of a box. Not fresh or home made. The green beans were greasy. They did not look or taste appetizing. And don't get me started on their chintzy little 'to-go bags' they bring you. They need to provide an actual container or foam clamshells like every other sit-down restaurant in the world. The main dining area was dark as a cave. Bottom line is Babe's prices are through the roof, but the quality and value have gone the opposite direction. I won't be going back anytime soon.

No beer. No to-go boxes. Even after spendin' these price$. They just give you some sort of colostomy bag-lookin thing and you just dump the leftovers inside? "It's our thing" ok well that doesn't mean it ain't stupid. Chicken was super crispy but pretty darn bland. Hell I'd rather just get a six pack with some chicken express n end up paying half the price

Worst Customer Service. When we walked in we wait 10 minutes for a table despite half the restaurant being empty. The Waitress was nice but incapable. We had to ask for a refill 3 times, ketchup twice and dessert twice. When we went to pay the bill they charged us for the second helping of Country Fried Steak despite it being family style. I went to the manager and he did nothing to fix the issue stating that “this is what we’ve always done” which is a lie. They made us pay for food which should have been free. I have been to the Frisco location many times but this is the worst experience I have ever had. DO NOT GO! Drive to a different location for better service.

My experience was perfect except for the angry "Karen" standing in the back of the restaurant like a bouncer. I asked my waiter and was informed that she was the manager and the reason another babes closed down. By this point, you know who she is. Just ask her to stand somewhere else and creep on people.
