A place with an impressive view from there you can see Capulalpam de Mendez, Ixtlán, and Amatlán which is the community adjacent to Lachatao which is the community where the restaurant is located
We stayed in this beautiful sleepy village for 4 days this summer and we were welcomed with open arms and heart by the people that care, live and support this incredible land. While staying in the cabins on the hill we ate 3 meals a day here and walked down and up the hill for each of them. the food was simple but thoughtful, made with care and attention to detail. The family was joyful and so delightful, very accommodating with dietary restrictions or preferences in our group. Nestled in the center of town and with views of the mountains and wildlife- if you are close by and able to visit, it is so beyond magical. Very traditional fresh healthy food. With ingredients grown locally or on premises. We will never forget our time spent here.

Basic menu but great quality and an amazing view
Very healthy traditional food right next to the church. Wonderful setting. Hard to teach but they have amazingly designed rustic and super comfortable cabins higher up on the hill.

Everything is delicious; they always have three or four food options. The view is incredible from the top of the restaurant, as is the outside. They are very friendly, and the food is very reasonably priced.

Small restaurant right next to church. Amazing treehouse and playground made of old wooden toys. Menu had only two options - beef or chicken. But good food. Very clean. Free WiFi!
A place close to heaven. The perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A clean, quiet town with an incredible view of the Sierra Juárez mountains in Oaxaca.
Absolutely first rate! We looked forward to every meal here. The food is delicious and the owner (and children) are sweet and helpful. Of the six meals we ate here four were vegetarian but still satisfying and delicious. Dinners ran about $90 per person which felt absolutely reasonable for the quality of food we were served.
Excellent place to eat and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of Lachatao. It's one of the most beautiful spots in the Sierra Juárez. The staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. I will definitely return.
