Our server Jonathan was super nice and attentive. He was easy to talk to and made sure our drinks were always full. I will be coming again with friends and family to introduce them to this amazing hidden gem.
Waitress was great and food was good. Got a pastrami to go and it barely had any meat on it, but the dining in experience was good
Stacy, Heidi, Pasrish and of course Katie! are all very amazing.. Stacy even sang loud for my wife for her birthday ... In Italian! We are greeted and service is better then ever. They remember us and link family. We love the place. We Will be back often.
Great place and more amazing food! The service here is top notch, and the food is even better than it was years ago. Everyone is so nice and prompt with their service, of course there are a few kinks to work out with so many changes going on, but everyone is on point. This place deserves many many more stars!
Bacon burger had the perfect pieces on it. Red onions, fresh, crunchy lettuce, thin tomato slices, thick bacon and soft buns!
We as a family really enjoy the ambience, the food and the great service. Every time we're there we ask for Stacey, she's so friendly, kind and helpful. We appreciate her hard work and amazing service
Talk to the owner who collects neon signs and even had custom ones made for his restaurant Love the atmosphere here but then I'm a neon slang geek. Food was good excellent milkshake The waitress was able to add vanilla flavor to my chocolate milkshake which always kicks it up a notch. French fries are good here too.
I'm gonna go ahead and admit that the food was really good. I got an omelette with French fries and sourdough bread. Our waitress was very kind, but took a little long to bring the check.
Wonderful food , friendly and efficient staff. Especially Stacy. The owners are working hard to keep the restaurant as fantastic as possible. Eat there often and have NEVER HAD A MEAL THAT WAS NOT TERRIFIC. . The attmosphere is very much like restaurants in the. 40’s and 50s. Highly recommend Route 66
The service is also great! We love the sense of community. We just had a wonderful lunch , the food was delicious better than ever and they have really updated and cleaned up very well.
It's such a fun spot to stop. Old memories hanging and old commercials on the TV 📺 This is our 3rd time going and got different things to eat each time. The food had been great. The waitresses were attentive and the orders have always been right. And the prices are comparable and not an issue at all. I definitely recommend this.
Attentive and great service, nostalgic and comfy vibe, fantastic music selection, and the food tastes delicious
I lived in SCV for 17 years and ate here once before for lunch and it was meh. Earlier this week hubby and I ate breakfast there and OMG!!! Was so delicious and the portions were so huge. Bacon was so juicy. And prices are so reasonable. Looking forward on having dinner here.
Good good, big menu with a big variety, and good prices too! Recommended! Cool 60s themed diner, juke box to play tunes, and they have a small bar too.
I had a Reuben pastrami with onion rings. Best sandwich I have had in years..
Route 66 Classified Grill. Thank You Kindly (Asleep At The Wheel) & Glenn French Fries 🍟 ACME Anything!
This was a hidden gem so glad we found it was amazing food
Lovely atmosphere reminds me of the old Johnny Rockets styled diners! Our server was Christina and she was 11/10 AMAZING!! So kind, very sweet and very helpful 💕 Thank you so much Christina you got customers for life!
Great happy hour deals with a good size burger, a beer, and fries for $14!
If you haven’t been here definitely come here! I have been coming here for over a decade and have been with this restaurant through many ups and downs. Come check out Route 66! Their portions are bigger so expect to get enough food for your money. Prices are decent and food is absolutely delicious.
I love themed restaurants, but they seem to be disappearing. Route 66 Classic Grill fills the void! They have a new menu and are under new ownership. I really like that they have cozy booth seating! The prices are reasonable and the food is good. There is a bar and a soda fountain as well. So fun!
We always have amazing service here! Brought my little one and she slept in her stroller while we ate. Lots of choices on the menus!
Outstanding food, great atmosphere and attentive and friendly server. Alex was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Our first time here. We live in Las Vegas and are here visiting our son and family for 3 weeks. We will definitely return to dine.
It was a very enjoyable experience it was bike night as it is every Wednesday from 6 pm till 9 pm. The food is amazing, the servers are very friendly and efficient. Creating a fun comfortable environment. Not to mention they had a live band. Across the board excellent establishment. If you live in the Santa Clarita valley area you must visit route 66 Classic grill
First time here, the food was great also the atmosphere is a vibe. Our server Anika gave us the best service and experience.
I’ve been a loyal customer at Route 66 Classic Grill in Santa Clarita for quite some time, but lately, things have been better than ever — and I just found out why. There’s a new owner, and whatever changes they’ve made are absolutely working! The food has gone from good to amazing, and the service has been just as impressive. I highly recommend the Deluxe Breakfast — it’s so huge that they literally serve it on two plates! There’s no way one person can finish it all (though I gave it my best shot!). Everything came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My entire family loved their meals. On top of that, we had the pleasure of being served by Stacie, who went above and beyond. Not only was she attentive and friendly, but she also made a special effort with my one-year-old, who was acting like… well, a typical one-year-old. Stacie thoughtfully brought over a kids’ cup of water, and it completely made my little one’s day — such a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about her care and attention. If you haven’t been to Route 66 Classic Grill recently, I highly recommend giving it a try. The great food, fantastic service, and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in Santa Clarita!
Healthy options galore! Service prompt...water and coffee never empty. Great atmosphere...menu with sooo many options.
Food is amazing, absolutely love the atmosphere, Service was absolutely the best, for some reason the regular fries were very very delicious. To be honest, I came here starving, when I left, I was almost in a food coma. I will be returning with other family members soon to show them this great spot. The waitress even had a super secret shake that was recommended and it was super bomb!!! I don’t live too far away, and I’m thinking about how many times I probably pass this spot. Wish I would’ve came here sooner. 😎🇺🇸
This has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat as a family! While they do have a bar area, there is dining on the opposite side of the restaurant and we love going with our 4 year old and 6 month old twins. Friday is happy hour all night and karaoke starts at 8pm.
Cafe 66 is a fantastic throwback to classic diner charm! The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the nostalgic atmosphere made it even better. A big shoutout to Christine — you were absolutely amazing in taking care of our large birthday party. Thank you for making it such a memorable experience!
Our food came out wrong and instead of taking it back and fixing it the waitress just said "you are fine with this right?" I wasn't. It wasn't what I ordered. Not even a very big waffle. Usually at places like this the portions are ridiculous. They weren't. Just...meh. There were hardly any people there eating and the service was still pretty slow. Prices were decent but the food was honestly no better than Denny's or IHOP.
Tried something different today.... California eggs Benedict. It wasnt all that great 🤷♂️ Our waitress Stacy was Great as usual. We enjoy route 66 but this breakfast fell short of the mark.....P.S. If you have young children and you can't control them please don't come to restaurants..... It really SUCKS for the rest of us.... (not restaurants problem)
If you want to try an all American restaurant this is the place to go. We were not disappointed yes it's a bit on the pricey side but you get your foods worth. The servers are super nice and fun we couldn't have chosen a better place to go have lunch. The place is clean and you have your options of seating which was my favorite part. The inside is what you can expect of a Diner to be.
We love the food & the great atmosphere of this great 50s dinner & the car shows are always fun to go to. My kids love getting the ice cold shakes & French frys !
Reopened under new owner. More food items to choose from and a separate breakfast menu. All 4 of us loved our food choices. During the week there are lunch specials that are cheap but plenty of food. I got the Wednesday wings and fries special for 6.99 and we were all shocked at the amout of food. There are several types of fry choices. Service and prices were great and I love the interior too.
I have gone to this restaurant three times now because it is that good! I love the vintage atmosphere the restaurant brings with the decor and old times music. the food was also good! i had the pancakes and french toast which were so delicious. My husband got the new mexico burger which i would definitely recommend because it was so good and juicy. i will say, the hot chocolate does need to be a bit better but overall, great diner with excellent food! would highly recommend if you are in the area!
Our server McKenzie gave us a wonderful experience at this restaurant. My food was good as I had the strawberry crepes with eggs and bacon. It appears the other people I was with in my group all had a very nice meal as well.
Let me start by saying, I love😍 the nostalgic feel! The service was great! Christine was very helpful and made our visit welcoming. The menu is great with lots to choose from. The food is excellent😋! The serving size is perfect! We definitely will be coming here often! One of my favorites🙌🏼❣️
Soooo cute! Super 50s themed, and the decor is very authentic and interesting to look at while you wait. The food was good too. Definitely an experience if you’re into unique restaurants. The French Toast Deluxe was amazing, I recommend it if you come for breakfast. The Chorizo Bowl I ordered was a bit much for the morning, so I wouldn’t order unless you’re REALLY hungry. Everything came out fast and fresh. The Chorizo Bowl was around 15 dollars and the French Toast Deluxe was too. Our waitress Stacy was awesome and super friendly. Made our breakfast great. Overall, I would come back to try their lunch and dinner items. 8.7/10 😼
Being a huge fan of Rt 66, we had to take a little trip off of I-5 towards this place. First time here! So glad we did! Ambiance starts before you even get to the front door! Once you enter, there's even more! A million and one choices, but I had the Blintze combo. Wowie! So good! Hubby had the eggs Benedict with country potatoes. Definitely will be back! Great place! If you've never been here before, make a point to try it! ~CHR66A Secretary & Rt 66 Nat'l & Int'l queen 👸 🙌🏻
Came here today with the family for the first time. The atmosphere is amazing , I love the decor , the setup and everything about this restaurant. Employees were very nice and professional. Service was a little slow for not being too busy but hey maybe someone called out things happen. I definitely would come back and highly recommend stopping by if you're around the area and hungry.
A casual, classic American diner with a welcoming, retro vibe. The menu features hearty burgers, crisp fries, fresh sandwiches, and comfort-food favorites. The portions are generous and well-prepared, making it a popular spot for families, friends, and anyone looking for a satisfying, casual meal. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable, creating a relaxed environment for lunch or dinner. Professional and attentive, ensuring smooth service flow and addressing customer concerns promptly.
This is classic diner food. Outstanding breakfast menu choices. I enjoy their omelets, French toast, pancakes, and the standard bacon and eggs are all good. I enjoy going there. I haven't been disappointed by anything I've ordered.
This hidden gem was a pleasant surprise. Located in a strip mall, you might miss it, but it is roomy, has an outdoor area, and offers live music on weekends. The portions are HUGE and the food is good quality. They recently updated the menu. The new owners added new TVs for sports and are open for classic car shows and other events. The servers are helpful and friendly. THERE IS A FULL BAR.
I can't honestly say how they are now but when I lived there and they opened there was the most fabulous dessert. Mint Chip Mud Pie. It was a 6 or 8 inch tall mint chocolate chip ice cream cake with oreo cookie crust. Smothered in whip cream and chocolate sauce it took 2 of us to eat it. Hopefully, it's still around for others to enjoy. All the food was good. Never had a bad experience
Server could have been a Lil bit more attentive but very good nonetheless 4 stars
Came here for first time a few weeks back on way home from Disneyland. Was definitely worth stopping in and trying. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire place is covered in cool retro stuff, every where you look is something nostalgic. There was even a cool car inside. The food was really good, and didn't take forever to get to us. Would definitely recommend this place. I completely forgot to take pictures, so next vist will add some.
Good place to eat the hot dog was good. The bar tender was great, I forgot her name though i think it was sierra but could be wrong.
Traditional American diner, layout is good with lots of Booths that are all nice and clean, there's lots of old American paraphernalia on the walls / ceiling to look at (as well as TVs playing American Sports👍) Food is surprisingly good 👍 it's well made and be warned, they are BIG portions 🤣 I would recommend the Avocado & Bacon Omelette, it was really good🙂 it also came with a huge portion of Hash Brown and Sourdough Bread 😎 Service was good, but the young Waitress serving us was either new or just very nervous as she didn't really listen to our request 🫤 One example: I asked if they served a 'Flat White' Coffee, she said "Yes" and brought me a black Coffee (percolated, not Espresso) with two portions of White Milk 🤦♂️🤣 It is still a great place for a bite to eat and reasonably priced 👍😎
Been here for Lunch and Dinner, food is great, first time having breakfast and it's ok. This certain day I got the tender and waffle plate and my Fiance got the sampler, chicken and waffles were ok not Roscoes good but I enjoy them, tenders needed more seasoning. The sampler well it wasn't what we were expecting, honestly lacked seasoning, sour cream and guac, I think what I really wasn't a fan of was the chips, I mean they taste good but it was just cheese on top of them. Now the service was great, I should have gotten the lady name that helped us out but she was good, attentive, courteous, helpful and polite. The inside is really cool oldie vibe, oldie music was playing and the decor was nice. All in all, I will suggest to try the place out, I mostly like the lunch and dinner options.
Walking up to the door I wasn’t certain whether it was open for business and it was my 1st time there so I was unsure of “normal” business hours for this establishment. The staff that greeted me was super friendly and full of lovely personality. My waitress was unfamiliar with the cocktail I ordered but she was up for the challenge - I told her the ingredients and she made magic happen. The drink was good and on the 2nd round she was able to replicate just as good. I enjoyed the veggie sandwich with the dill bread and it was delicious. It even carried well as a leftover for later that day. My friend enjoyed a turkey burger and it was just as delicious as the veggie sandwich based on the feedback that was shared. Overall, I was very pleased and will revisit to try the other plant based options on the menu.
We were totally starving after a 'Trunk or Treat' and the food options there were a bust. So, we finally give Route 66 Classic Grill a try—we've been meaning to come here forever! Honestly, it was a lifesaver. The vibe is awesome: total nostalgic 80s diner, and they even had cute Halloween stuff out. Even with the World Series on (Go Dodgers!), the service was good and quick. The food was way better than expected. I recommend to get the Steak Quesadilla. Seriously, the huge amount of caramelized onions in it was amazing. My Tuna Melt with those caramelized onions and tomatoes was a total winner, too. The kids were happy with their sliders and got their compliment vanilla ice cream. Just a quick note: the restroom could use some attention; it wasn't the cleanest and had a smell. Aside from that, definitely a great spot to check out!
I’ve been seeing this restaurant around social media, so why not head over there and try it out. I first the service wasn’t that great. The reason no one in the front to set myself and my love to a table. Then when someone came to our table, asked for the drinks took a little bit longer than usual, and top it. All that off. There is no utensils. But other than that the food was great. Just a service socks. Excuse my language. If I go back there again, I will ask for a person goes by Jonathan. He was taking everyone’s order and bringing them on time like it should.. I had the chicken waffle, pretty good, and my love one. She got chilaquiles like them a lot.
Stepping into this breakfast spot feels like traveling straight back to the 1950s — from the retro decor to the classic diner vibe, the atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit. The food definitely lives up to the setting too: everything we ordered was delicious, comforting, and hit the spot for a proper breakfast. Had the French toast and it was the classic French toast that I been craving. My girl had an omelette and devour it. It also came with hash browns and toast. Service was a little slow, but it was a busy day, so it was understandable and didn’t take away from the overall experience. They’ve got a fun drink selection too — from alcoholic options to horchata, shakes, and malts — so there’s something for everyone. With TVs playing the Winter Olympics while we ate, it made for a lively and enjoyable morning. Overall, it’s a fun place with good food and a cool atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a nostalgic breakfast spot with plenty of options and a good time
Having long desired to visit this establishment, I arrived and was pleasantly surprised by its ambiance. The decor was aesthetically pleasing, and the props were impressive. While the service could have been improved, I ordered an appetizer and main course, and unfortunately, the appetizer was mistakenly served with the main course. Additionally, the side dish was incorrect. The wait time for the server was excessive at times. Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this establishment. The Route 66 burger is exceptional and should be a must-try.
Went there on a Monday night 2 tables had customers the restaurant was not busy took forever for someone to notice us and seat us. The waitress was terrible but I will say the food wasn't bad. I'm afraid to see how much worse it would be when they are busy. But then again maybe they never are since the service is horrible.
My dad and I went to route 66 he got breakfast and I got lunch his food arrived at the table 5 minutes before mine did. He asked for toast, by the time his toast arrived he was 3/4 of the way done with his breakfast. I had to ask for a silverware set up because there was only one at the table. Service wasn't good.
Honestly atmosphere is iconic. So nice and clean. You can tell this business invests in the atmosphere and they care about their customers. On the other hand. Good is mediocre. I got a turkey Melt sandwich and it fell short. I'm not sure if it comes with vegetables. But it needs vegetables. the cheese was not melted all the way and just tasted bland. French fries were good. Definitely reheated in the oven and crispy. I didn't mind them at all. The service was great actually. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Love that. They have what it takes to be the Go-To American spot for lunch and dinner. Food needs a refresh and I want it to taste fresh to bad. They have what it takes. Food is holding them back.
In fighting going on, manager telling employees that the owner has been letting people not be forced to be there for bikenights. His comments "they have always had to be there no matter what" and she's letting them get away with it. Then moments later a staff member complaining that she had to sell 350.00 tickets for under 250 becuase she has to make it for Bike night. Meanwhile we sat waiting and waiting... not because they were busy, but because the manager has a beef with the owner and wanted to continue to vent! We have been regulars for ever! Since the previous owner. Has to be at least 20 or 25 yrs that we have been going there every weekend and various other days. Now, I said "no more!" I can't be sitting there watching a feud when I am wanting to relax. Waiting is fine and expected at times, but waiting while someone is having an internal spat! Take it in the office and let the patrons enjoy eating the most fantastic food on the planet! Drinks that are better than any bar in the area! They can mix a drink! Please just stop fighting in front of the customers!
Walked in the east entrance and the place smelled horribly like sewage. We asked to be seated on the far end of the restaurant since the smell came from the restrooms, but it was bad there also. We haven't been to R-66 in about a year and the food, service, and atmosphere have gone down hill, but prices have gone up. Doubtful we will return.
We were ignored for 15 minutes until the host came and guided us to a table. The food is not good. I do not recommend. The descriptions do not match what you get. For example, I ordered an angel hair pasta and received spaghetti noodles. We won't be returning.
I have been to this location several times and would have given it 5 stars across the board every other time, but I do NOT recommend coming on Satuday nights when the have bike night or classic car night or whatever event they had going on. I am a reasonable person and expect a delay in service on busy nights but not to be completely ignored and forgotten about. After we were seated it took 15 mins for a server to even acknowledge that we were in her section. Not once we're we asked if we would like refills and I couldn't even flag anyone down when they forgot part of our order. My order wasn't even the correct thing and by the time I received my food my family had already finished theirs. And to top it off it was cold. The staff seemed more concerned about hanging out with the crowd rather then doing their job. At one point one of the cooks had to come out of the kitchen to organize plates in the service window because servers were not picking up the food...... I won't write this place off just yet but last night was definitely not a good show of service....
I’ve been there for drinks with friends and for breakfast. Breakfast was great. Servers were friendly and their service was great. But today I ordered their Chicken Marsala and the best thing about it was the salad (and I’ve had better Blue Cheese dressing). The plate I ordered came with a chicken fillet covered with mushrooms and gravy (and whatever else they add to make it marsala), mixed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, and squash), mashed potatoes with gravy and a large piece of garlic bread. It looked good. I started with the vegetables and they were so overcooked that if you look at them too hard, they fell apart and really didn’t have any flavor. Next, I took a bite of the potatoes and gravy and found there was no flavor to either. Now I made it around to the chicken marsala and found That there was nothing special about the chicken fillet and the gravy, like the potatoes and gravy, had no flavor. Lastly, I broke the bread apart, and when I tasted it, there wasn’t much to taste. I couldn’t even tell there was garlic on it. They offered to replace the vegetables with freshly cooked vegetables, but at that point, I was aware that not much had flavor and added salt and pepper to everything to compensate (which I never do because first I want to taste what the chef/cook has decided would be a flavorful meal). I should’ve just had them replace the whole meal, but I was hungry. seeing that this is only the second meal I’ve had and I did enjoy the breakfast there that I may have just ordered the one dish they do poorly, or the chef that day makes poorly, but that one dish was awful. They’ve been around a long time that it seems most of their menu should be good But they have New Owners and may be adjusting their menu… Just steer clear of the chicken marsala (for now), the gravy, the garlic bread and if you are going to order vegetables, make sure you order them made fresh and the way you like them. Great Atmosphere and Servers!!
On several occasions they have tried to overcharge me on the bill. I think it's their way of "charging a tip".
The tall blonde waitress/manager is rude to the other workers. No not stern, not strict, rude. A minor mistake was made and she found it appropriate to take a dig at the young lady who sat us down, to us. I was horrified, how often does this woman take the opportunity to criticize the people she works with to customers? Does she care if the person she’s talking about hears her? On top of that, our food looked nothing like the pictures. How is the picture of a traditional cinnamon roll going to result in a square “roll” sprinkled with powdered sugar with two containers of syrup (????) and icing you have to apply yourself? I could excuse the food since it still tasted great but I can’t excuse the way I saw the aforementioned woman behaving.
Food are great & some servers are fantastic (once seated) but to get seated has always been awkward. Servers & host would just keep you waiting & occasionally look at you but never say "we'll be with you shortly" or something. We've been there a lot & always been on the same situation to get seated. We've seen it with a lot of people too. Today, we went there & same thing, so we walked out & will not come back there. Love the food but hate the awkwardness with the staff.
My wife went in and picked up an order. The food was awful. I got a chili dog that chili was completely burnt. My wife's Monte crisco Crisco was not even a Monty Crisco.
Took forever for food, servers switched, hectic, loud music, server nice but service was slow and it was not even understaffed. Sampler plate that has nachos comes with very little beans, cheese, etc and food comes on top with cheese which was very unexpected and ruined my appetite. It looked like a struggle meal I use to make and I do love goinf back to my roots because struggle meals are very good but this did not look good.
I just moved to Santa Clarita. My family and I wanted to check this place out. We came for dinner and it was the worst experience ever. We had to wait to be seated (mind you the restaurant was not packed with people) We were eventually seated and the server took our drinks order and brought our drinks quickly. However, it took the server 20 minutes to come back to take our food order. Another 30 minutes to get our order to the table. We ordered steak sandwich and chicken pesto salad and onions rings. Both sandwiches were tasteless and super soaked in grease. The fries were soggy and cold as well. 20 mins into our dinner the onions rings came to our table because the server forgot to tell the cook we ordered onion rings. Not once did the server come to our table to ask if we needed anything and if our food was good( no customer service whatsoever)! We asked for our check and we never got it from the server. We literally had to ask another server for our check it took us 15mins or so to pay our food. I would never recommend this place to eat to anyone. That was my first and last time ever coming here to eat! If you have time on your hands and want mediocre service and food then this is the place to come to.
This route 66 cannot get orders correct. Order food two days in a row. Each day Something was missing from my order that I paid extra for.I called to speak with a manager. There is no manager available.. I asked if I could return the food and get the order recooked? That was not an option, I had to return my order to get a full refund. They rushed through orders and don't take their time to make the food correctly.
Disappointed … I can’t believe anyone who was there recently would give them good reviews… they must be nose blind. I just moved here and I drove by this place several times. I thought it looked cool so I wanted to try it out. Me and my son went for breakfast on a Sunday. We were seated fairly quickly and I wanted to wash my hands so I asked where the bathroom was and headed in that direction. As soon as I got close to the hallway in the back BY THE KITCHEN I was disgusted by the horrible smell a sewage. It was really strong and gross! They are literally preparing food next to this nasty smell. When I went back to our booth it took a while for our server to get to us. When she finally did I ordered the Deluxe Pancakes. The eggs and sausage were fine and the pancakes were big but they were so dry! Then they only give you this tiny side of syrup that barely covers one of them. I was trying to get more syrup but after she served our food it took forever for her to come back and check on us. Meanwhile my food was getting cold because I didnt want to eat dry pancakes. We finally flagged down a busser to help get more syrup but he came back with another tiny side that literally did nothing. I didn’t even finish them because they weren’t that great. My son had the French toast. He let me have a bite to try and they were better but just ok. It looks really cool on the inside but that’s about it.
Poor customer service today! This is not my first time dining at Route 66 Classic Grill restaurant but definitely my last time. I had no problem getting seated right away but trying to get the attention of the waitress was almost impossible today. She claimed that they were busy but it was a lot of empty tables when I arrived (it did not even look that busy). She never came over to offer me more water or anything and all I wanted was a check to pay for my meal and go! I have dined there a few times in the past and the food is ok but this is the first time I have ever experience such poor service at this particular restaurant!
Came here on my birthday for breakfast. There wasn’t a lot of people in the place, but the wait was terrible. It took 40 minutes to receive our food and when I got my plate the hash browns had hair cooked into them🤮. My husband took the plate to the Manager and she replaced the meal, apologized ,but still charged us for the meal. There were plenty of things on the menu I would have liked to try, but I will not be returning. There’s no coming back from hair in your food. Yall gotta do better and the cook definitely needs to wear a hair net.
I came in and I wasn't served for a while when we were seated we sat there for a while before they asked for our drink order after we got our drinks we waited 30 minutes for someone to come to our table and take our order our appetizer was fine but but our food took 30!! Minutes to get our food the food was fine until I found a hair in my burger yuck!! And the service sucked don't recommend!!!🤢🤢🤢👎🏽
Went in on a Friday night around 8pm. They were setting up their karaoke area. A wait staff saw us and acknowledge our party and the size but proceed to socialize with other customers and never came over. Several other staff looked over and did nothing either socializing amongst each other or other customers. My mom who is on walker asked if we could sit straight ahead and the guy said no, it's only for people doing karaoke. After standing there for about 3-5 mins, finally a waitress comes up and asks how many, leaves for about another couple minutes before coming back and taking us to a dirty table. I am another staff if we can move one over to a clean table and she says yes. That same waitress that sat us comes back and asks for our order just as we moved to the other table. We explained we just got seated, only my mother has been here before and we need time to look. She asks us if we had any questions about the menu and took drink orders. She came back with the waters we ordered and then we didn't see her again for about another five mins. She took our order around 816pm and we never saw her again until 850pm. We ordered a salad and onion rings, chicken strips and fries, and nachos with only beans and shredded cheese. Others got sat around us and had food brought to them after we arrived. When she came back she only came with my mom's salad, nothing else. We asked what was taking so long and she said it was busy. When we arrived and ordered there was about five tables and two had just finished when we got seated. We had no silverware or anything. Another five minutes went by and she came with the chicken and nachos that were room temperature. The beans on my daughter's nachos were hardening and cold. Plus she had cheese sauce which she asked not to have. We still had no silverware and had to ask someone else to please get us napkin and silverware. We never got the onion rings till she came to check on us once we were half way done with the food and my mom mentioned the rings. Those came out a couple minutes later super hot and fresh. It took another ten minutes to get our bill and get it paid. Once we paid and we were signing the receipt she came by and grabbed the card off the table and said she'd be back. I quickly stopped her telling her she already charged us. There was never a sorry, no compensation, no drink refills, nothing for the entire time. I will never go back. The food wasn't even good, maybe cause it didn't take long before it was cold since it had already been sitting out for who knows how long before being brought to us.
Food is always good. But the service is 50/50. Sometimes its awesome, and sometimes you never get served. We were there for 10 mins until I had to ask for a menu. Then 5 mins later I had to go find someone to tell them we were ready to order. And finally, 5 mins later we left. The staff was polite, but 20 mins to have no one help you..... Probably won't go anymore.
They don't pay attention you just wait and they don't see you you're invisible how bad, even so they see you and they don't even take the menu
When we walked in, it smelled very bad of urine. when we sat down across the restaurant, it still smelled really bad so we left. the server that seated us was very nice and we just told her we had an emergency and had to go so i don’t know how the food is, we left maybe a minute after sitting down.
Very disappointing meal after waiting an hour for it. My friend and I really liked the 1950s aesthetic but the food and service was another issue. I ordered the Sunburst which had scrambled egg whites, turkey sausages, tomato slices, and avocado. My meal was definitely microwaved because the tomatoes and avocado were strangely warm.
Route 66 Grill, Santa Clarita — one star, and that single star exists only because the place looked cool. Neon signs, chrome edges, a kind of faded roadside promise of Americana that made me think I’d stumbled into something worth the stop. That illusion lasted about as long as it took for me to sit down. Ten minutes before a young man finally noticed me. He dropped a menu in front of me without a word, no water, no smile, no sense of welcome. Just a laminated reminder of what I would never receive. Then he vanished, and so did any chance of a meal. I sat there for twenty long minutes, stomach growling, watching the staff drift around like ghosts. At least three waiters and waitresses, just whispering to each other with the flat indifference of people who had long since given up. Fewer than ten customers in the whole joint, and yet I was invisible. I can’t review the food because I never saw any. I can only review the service — and the service was a vacuum, a black hole where energy, attention, and basic human hospitality go to die. After thirty wasted minutes, I walked out. One star, and that’s charity. It looked cool. That’s it. Keep driving.
We arrived at the restaurant around 11:30am on Sunday excited to try the food after reading the reviews. It took our party of two around 10-15mins to get noticed and secure a table while watching other parties get seated before us. It wasn’t a problem and we were fine to wait. There wasn’t a signup sheet or a host managing the front desk. However, the situation quickly became unacceptable. Once seated , it was another 10mins till someone from the wait staff came by. We ordered a water and a beer and the lunch menus as we didn’t get one. We observed a number of wait staff in the area but a complete lack of communication and attention. It wasn’t that busy either so we couldn’t understand the delays. We waited another 15 mins for the menu and a beer with water. We watched multiple parties that arrived after us be seated with orders suggesting a serious flaw in the reservation or seating management system. At this point, due to the lack of attention, we made the decision to leave. Not sure if we will return to this location in the near future.
