I loved this place! So welcoming and uncomplicated. The food is sooooo good! I had the Big Maverick burger and, honestly, it felt like I was eating a super delish homemade burger. I usually don’t like home-cut fries but these were amazingly crispy and scrumptious! They have live bands and DJs. We were also very grateful to be allowed to park overnight in our RV. Thanks a million 🙏🏻

An SY valley icon, I've lost count of the number of times I've been here. Always a cool experience, good beer selection and plenty of classic dive bar atmosphere. Food is good and staff is friendly.

Had the best Bloody Mary’s ever. Place is very charming. Bartender was fun and full of personality. Great place to come and have drinks and food. Or just party. Definitely will be back

It’s got that dive bar atmosphere with that 5 star restaurant! The customer service was great, the bartender was on top of things! The food was AMAZING!!! those wings were super saucy and delicious! Tasted like secret recipe kinda sauce. The home grown, pickled vegetable medley was a great surprise! The breading was fluffy and crisp at the same time! The catfish was melt in your mouth delish. My smothered chicken was a little dry but the gravy was worth it. We came for a local treat and were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience!! Will definitely we eating there again next time we hit the casino.

Has always been one of my favorite bars so I reached out to them to host my birthday party with over 130 guests. The events manager was terrible to work with, slow to respond and basically lost the bar thousands of dollars that night since we ended up going to the Elks across the street instead for the main party. I offered to pay for the band that night to guarantee a Maverick regular would play on our birthday - they turned me down. I wanted to have an open bar for my guests and asked if we could do tickets or wristbands for my guests - they said no. I asked if they would reserve us a few tables inside if we bought food and drink with them - they said no. So the Elks got my business and were amazing and I am sure the Elks loved my $2500 bar bill that night. Maverick, get it together. When someone wants to work with you on a party, you might have to actually try and work with them.

This is a beautiful and iconic place to stop when visiting the area, surrounded by a charming and picturesque town. Unfortunately, despite the potential, the overall experience was significantly impacted by extremely poor customer service. I do not typically leave service-related reviews, as most establishments provide adequate to excellent hospitality. However, this experience stood out as an example of how a great location and concept can fail due to inattentive and poorly trained service staff. Our group of approximately 15 guests was seated outdoors. While I understand that large parties can sometimes be challenging, the restaurant was nearly empty at the time, and we were the only table being served. Even so, it took an excessive amount of time for our order to be taken, for basic necessities such as water to be brought to the table, and even for the check to be delivered—though that was ironically the fastest part of the service. (My glass of water never came) At one point, my meal was placed in front of me without proper utensils. I waited over seven minutes for a fork and knife while my food sat untouched. I had to ask three separate times, and even then, I was never given a fork. This level of neglect is simply unacceptable and difficult to understand. I work in the restaurant industry and fully understand that delays and challenges can occur, especially during busy periods. However, this was not one of those situations. The lack of urgency, awareness, and basic service standards made the experience frustrating and disappointing. While we tried to joke about it at the table, the reality is that this visit left me with no desire to return. Out of principle and understanding of the industry, I still left a tip, knowing how essential gratuities are for service staff. That said, the level of service provided did not warrant it. This restaurant has all the elements to be an exceptional destination, but it is being held back by poor service execution. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in hiring and properly training the right people, so guests can enjoy a pleasant and memorable dining experience that matches the quality of the location

The service was unsatisfactory. Requests for things like ketchup, straws, and refills were always forgotten. Our party had to re-ask multiple times. We were helped by both a female waitress and then by a male waiter. Both were not very friendly. I rarely ever write reviews, but our dining experience was so frustrating that I feel like something needs to said.

Came here to grab a drink with some friends while we waited for a dinner reservation - had 15-20 mins to kill. This place used to be so much better in the past. It's now a restaurant too. Bartender looked annoyed to be serving us, - maybe he had a bad night. The greeter was really nice, though.

Went to this place this past weekend with a bachelorette party of 8. I told Sam at the front bar that the bride-to-be is on my open tab. Sam’s dry response was, “As long as she knows your name.” Sorry, but that’s not how it should be. Just because someone knows my name, they are not authorized to drink on my tab. Sam didn’t really seem like he wanted to serve our group anyway, just based on his body language and lack of attention. This was around 9, and the front bar wasn’t even busy. I closed my tab with him after that. Anyway, our group enjoyed ourselves on the dance floor, and I opened a tab at the back bar, where the male bartender was attentive.
