Salt and pepper calamari was spicy and so delish, orange roughy, perfectly cooked, Chow fun with vegetables... Everything was that perfect balance of sweet, spicy, savory! And on a busy night the staff was upbeat and efficient. Wish more Marin restaurants were this good!

I ordered jumbo shrimps fried rice and broccoli beef for dinner. They were delicious, not so much salt, and generous amount of vegetables. Good customer service, and very clean inside the restaurant.

So Delicious! the crab cream cheese puffs are real crab the general chicken is the best the bbq pork Lo mein is delectable and the vegetable fried rice yuuuum you want to eat till you're over stuffed would go back if ever in the area again

The food is great - I have no complaints; General Tso is my favorite. The people are great - very kind and welcoming, even when they are busy - like Friday night. Over all the restaurant is clean, which is a plus... The only thing I wasn't happy about was the dying plant in the bathroom... Otherwise, Tommy's Wok is a definite yes for chinese/Asian food.

I am a huge fan of the restaurant. I have eaten here about once a week for the past 15 years All their ingredients are high quality. They used organic veggies and free range/antibiotic free meats. Everything is really good.

Ok…there’s chow mein dishes here…one of them…$2 more has more vegetables…I believe it was hunan style…my daughter wanted that with chicken…waiter said something about TOMMY…whatever…the one with added vegetables for $2 more WITH chicken…it ended up at table with shrimp also…LOOKED FREAKING DELICIOUS but my daughter is deathly allergic to seafood, has a epipen handy for it and we sent it back….all I heard was TOMMY! in the kitchen…I gave a one star review but have changed it since it came back out chicken and my family was happy with everything we ate…GOOD FOOD AND A GOOD TIME HERE AFTER ALL!!

The food was great! And the service was amazing, you would have half a cup of water and out of nowhere it was full again and you wouldnot even notice it! Amazing! And the wait time for our meal was incredibly small.

We discovered Tommy's Wok when we moved to Sausalito in 2001, eating there each Friday evening. The food is absolutely delicious, plentiful and unequaled anywhere. We now live 47 miles away and I will drive to Sausalito in a heartbeat to have lunch or dinner there. Thank you Annie!!

Came to visit from LA. Good food, great service, and the servers were very attentive. Ordered a lot of plates family of 7. Till nxt time we visit again.

Lunch was great food was very good fresh and being able to sit outside with our dog was real nice, our server was great he even offered our dog water .

The food was delicious. Staff was attentive, and the place was clean and actually pretty cute.

I reserve the 5th star for especially good places. No doubt, in it's class this is a very unique place with outstanding service and high quality food. I have had many things on their menu but really enjoyed the seafood curry soup!

I'm giving them 5. That's right...5. We had a great dinner here. We (3 adults) all thought the food was simply great while the non-adult (1 kid) also enjoyed his "modified" dinner while having fun at the same time. I believe she was the owner but the person went out of her way to teach my son how to use his chop sticks. She went and retrieved a little tool that helps kids learn. Maybe I'm a sucker for that personalization but it was certainly nice and made the evening that much better. I really enjoyed the food. We all did. As usual, we ordered a number of different dishes. When you have (3) adults all commenting during the dinner about the food you either have 1) people that are hungry and they'll say anything or 2) they really did like it. I'm pretty much out of creativity tonight but what I can say is that we'll be back. Absolutely. We'll say it's "T-Wok Time"... okay, that's corny.

Tommy has been our favorite Chinese restaurant in Marin County for many years. Everything always tastes fresh and yummy. The decorations are inviting. The staff was nice and attentive.

Very tasty Chinese food, not the usual take-away kinda food. Great location, and great ambience. Loved the warm homely feel with good lighting and plants. Service was also very courteous. Nice hot soup after a walk along the cold waterfront felt heavenly.

We stopped in for lunch on a whim and are glad we did. Aside from the reasonably priced lunch menu, the food was excellent! From the BBQ pork steam buns to the chicken fried rice, we enjoyed all the facets of our meal.

Extremely fresh chinese food - top dishes for me are the Special Steak which is perfectly tender, the Tommy Fried rice, and the Steamed dim-sum. Always good - and quick. Update:- years later, still a big fan. Super Chinese food that’s always consistently top notch and honestly as good as anything I’ve had in expensive Hong Kong or Beijing renowned eateries. Such a Sausalito gem and glad it’s a stones throw away!

We ate here after visiting the golden gate bridge, its 5 minutes away. We had our 3 toddler nieces with us and the staff was so nice, helpful and understanding and anticipated our needs! The food was delicious as well as the wine. We recommend Tommy's to locals and travelers!

The service is amazing! The grandma that served us forces us to eat our food and not to waste the cornsoup - like a typical Asian grandma feeding her grandchildren . Love this place! I was especially impressed that I get a lot of broccoli with my orange chicken. Most other restaurants make me get a second dish if I want veggies with it. The prices feel reasonable too.

Amazing dining experience!! The food and service were top notch. I highly recommend the sweet and sour soup. Both the regular (with chicken) and vegetarian (without chicken) sweet and sour soup was to die for. Also the duck and pineapple fried rice was another favorite. Large chunks of succulent duck meat. Can’t say enough about this Gem of a restaurant in Sausalito. All I’m going to say is… I’ve been going to Tommy’s since 1998. There is no other Chinese Restaurant that cooks with the freshest organic vegetables, meat, poultry, etc. Their kitchen walls are glass for you to watch them prepare the meals. Everything is good. I have yet to eat anything I didn’t like. Very generous with their portions. If you haven’t tried them… you need to. Thank you for all the years of excellent meals and tending to me (delivering) chicken vegetable wa Wong-tong soup when sick. Did I mention how kind the staff is? They are and on any given day you will find the owner there working hard. She’s just as enthusiastic about her restaurant as she was 25 years ago. Tank you 🙂

The staff were polite, pleasant, and professional. My daughter was worried about her peanut allergy but the waiter was knowledgeable and eased her concerns. Highly recommend!

If you're in and around Sausalito and want some pretty good Chinese (not the absolute best but good enough), then check this place out. Does get busy at times, but nice for lunch. Food portions are decent, and the staff is super friendly!

We had a nice lunch here. As I am gluten intolerant the meny specified what you could eat here. The soup was a bit strong but the chicken cashew nut was good. Friendly staff.

Decent Chinese/Asian food with nice atmosphere. We felt a little bit rushed but we were also moving through the huge menu at a leisurely clip. My only complaint is that our curry dishes needed to be much spicier...we love our capsaicin and will not settle for mild curry.

I love Tommy's Wok! They have some of the best and most authentic Chinese food in Southern Marin. Their prices are great and the food is delicious. My favorite is the mu shu chicken dish. They are also great for families and groups and are very accommodating. The only reason they lose a star is because I haven't LOVED every dish there. I love most, but not all, I think that their chow mein could use some improvement.

Above average Chinese food at Tommy's Wok. It tastes a bit fresher and less oily than most places, plus the appetizers are delish.

My husband and I dined at Tommy's Wok on Saturday, April 16th. We travel full-time so we are always looking for fun, local, independent places to check out. We had spent a wonderful day exploring nearby Golden Gate NRA, but we had lost track of time and it was almost 3pm and we hadn't eaten anything yet that day. We were really hungry and wanted a nice meal. Since we were traveling in our RV with our pup, we called ahead to order takeout and the person I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and efficient. We ordered the Chef's Appetizer Sampler for 2, the Prawn Lovers Duo, and the Orange Chicken. We were really pleased with the sampler for the most part: the chicken and beef satay were both excellent, the shrimp were tasty, and the crab wontons were good. We didn't feel the ribs were anything special, and my husband said the egg rolls were just okay. The orange chicken was quite good - much spicier than what we've had elsewhere. I like spicy, but it was a bit too spicy for my husband and I do think if that was the only thing I was eating it might be a bit much. I should also note that the broccoli served as a side to the orange chicken was quite cold. The Prawn Lovers Duo was really good. I loved the garlic version with the snap peas and also really liked the sweet/spicy version. We actually had a couple of leftover shrimp that I refrigerated for later and I thought they were even better cold! One thing to note: I was surprised that the rice was not included with the entrees and we ordered a small to have as a side and it was cold just like the broccoli. Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much and this is definitely a cut above your standard Chinese takeout restaurant. However, there were a few misses like the ribs, egg rolls, and cold broccoli and rice. I think our total was around $70 before tip, which is maybe a bit much for a lunch for 2 but I know we ordered more food than we normally would, but I do think at that price everything needs to be exceptional.

We have a loud 3 year old, and this place is just loud enough that you can hear each other talk, but he isn't disturbing other tables. The orange chicken was fantastic, and while the sizzling stake and cashew chicken were fine, we'll try something else next time. The staff is friendly, and we had no wait for a table. We had also been here once before with a party of 10 and sat at a large round table with rotating serving table in the middle. I wish I could remember, but there were at least 2 dishes that stacked up to the orange chicken

My Chinese girlfriend said this is NOT real Chinese food, it's more Indian food with all the Curry dishes. Great service and I enjoyed my meal.

Great location fresh food but beware , this is Cantonese Chinese food. There are few veggie in dishes. The hot and sour soup is just tofu and chicken. I have never had this soup without at least the special black mushroom. The prices are out of line with the dishes at $20 per plate. ....But then again so is most of Marin County.

Kind staff, just not great food. If you are vegetarian the tofu is kind of sad - not crispy, just mushy. Not much flavor in most of the dishes our group had.

The orange chicken and chow mein were really good, but the egg rolls could definitely be improved. The food is also expensive. As for the service, they really need to improve: there was a hair in our first order of orange chicken, and when we took it back and asked for a new plate the guy was quite rude and got mad. He didn't want to take the plate back and said how odd, that none of them have any hair (even though there was a woman with dark hair and light highlights that matched the strand in our food). When we left, however, he was apologetic.

I usually get Chinese food at a place at 18th and Balboa in SF, so I have a fairly high standard. IMHO, Tommy's Wok's lunch entrees are disappointing. Even Ming Yen in Novato is better. Not sure why everyone thinks it's so amazing.

The Tommy's Chow Mein, basically a house combination chow Mein, was decent. It was a bit... wet, but the flavor was fine. The hot & sour soup was OK as well, after a healthy dose of white pepper.

Good food and fast service, but one of the counter workers had a really strange attitude problem that made me want to leave on the spot. When we asked if we could eat outside on one of the open tables, he was super hesitant and was trying to get us to promise to "clean up after ourselves". I know we were obviously tourists, but it was rude, and i won't be back.

The food was mediocre. I would not come back to this place. The portion was small and the price was quite expensive for Chinese food. We ordered the wonton soup it’s barely hot. The fried rice looks bland. We order snow peas shoots does not look fresh at all and the sizzling platter was very small portion. We are also order out to go order. I will order it again.

Not a great place for vegetarians. The service was the minimum it could be, but they attempted to accommodate our diets. Reminded me a lot of the Chinese food you eat in Nevada on a road trip. Maybe it’s my East Bay Chinese food supremacy but the flavor was lacking and was very “college dorm misc asian”. I’m being harsher than I mean to be. In essence, it’s meh. Good intro to Asian cuisine resto though.

Overpriced. Over salted. Instant noodles. Honestly Panda Express is better and cheaper and I hate Panda Express. If you want authentic Chinese food pay the toll and go to the Sunset in SF. Try China North Dumpling or King of Noodles.

I came on a date and the host who seated us was incredibly nice. However two other servers came over to us and questioned why we weren’t sharing our own food. We didn’t realize it was a restaurant where you order several plates and share we just had our own. One of the older ladies comes up to me as I’m finishing my food and 1. Stares at me for a moment 2. Then says “wow you are the whole thing.” I had terrible issues regarding that and I was enjoying my curry up until then. I started crying (trying to hide it) and my date knew so we got out of there quick. We didn’t directly ask for the check; before we finished the check was slammed on our table; no words said. We were not being loud. We weren’t giving anyone attitude. Yet overall like all employees were silently judging, staring, and questioning simply because we did not know that plates were split up especially since it was the 2 of us.
