We had a fantastic evening here. Before our meal, we sat at the bar where Josh took great care of us and gave us wonderful recommendations. The veggie pastas were exceptional - you can really taste the quality of the fresh, seasonal ingredients. The farm-to-table approach really shines through in every dish. Highly recommend stopping by the bar first to chat with Josh - his knowledge and hospitality set the perfect tone for the meal. Will definitely be back!

My goodness the steak was chefs kiss delicious goodness in my mouth!!!! Perfection. The risotto with Crab and shrimp was equally mouth watering. We also had the beef carpaccio as an app. Highly recommend. 10 outta 10. Anthony was our guy and steered us in all the right directions. Atmosphere, superb!! Mic drop……

We had our anniversary dinner here and loved it! Our server Olivia was wonderful. She answered any questions I had and recommended the BEST dishes. Food was excellent and the dessert chocolate torte was to die for. I had been wanting to dine here for months and am so pleased with our experience! Thank you!!

If you're planning a special event in Savannah, look no further than Cha Bella! We had our wedding reception there, and it was an absolute dream. Even though we were organizing everything from the other side of the world, the team at Cha Bella made the process so smooth and stress-free. They prepared a custom table setup that was just perfect, and helped us choose a delicious menu that all our guests loved. Every detail was taken care of with such care and attention, it felt like we were there planning it ourselves. The food was incredible, the ambiance was perfect, and the staff were so friendly and professional. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our special day. If you’re looking for a top-notch restaurant in Savannah, I can’t recommend Cha Bella enough!

We came to Cha Bella for our anniversary dinner this past Saturday and it was to die for. Definitely make a reservation, as they tend to book up quickly, but we got lucky booking a reservation right at opening, so pretty much an empty restaurant. Service was attentive but not overbearing and our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, along with being prepared to recommend some great dishes! We started with the beef carpaccio and added the truffle oil ($3 more) to it, along with a side of focaccia bread (extra charge). It was so heavenly! 10/10 recommend starting off with it! For dinner my boyfriend got the filet mignon with the caramelized onions & gorgonzola cheese and holy moly did it cut like butter! It was soooo tender, he couldn’t stop eating it. I got the rack of lambs with the mint sauce and wow! Don’t tell my mother, but BEST rack of lambs I’ve ever had! Compliments to the chef, thank y’all so much for such a perfect local meal! I work in the service industry and I cannot wait to recommend Cha Bella to my guests looking for more great places to dine at.

WOW I️ don’t think I️ can find the words to express how amazing it was to have our intimate wedding at Cha Bella! We worked with Aleesa to plan our big day and it could not have gone better. Our wedding had ~50 guests and the ceremony and reception took place on the beautiful outdoor patio. The passed hors d’oeuvres and 3 course plated dinner were so delicious, came out warm, and were served on time. People were telling us all night how much they enjoyed the food. I️ worked with Aleesa to plan the decor and it looked exactly like I️ envisioned it! (Highly recommend taking advantage of the decor package if you are having an event here!) We didn’t have a DJ but were able to play our own playlists through the restaurant speakers which worked great. Everyone we interacted with was extremely warm and welcoming and helped our day run smoothly. Honestly I️ have nothing but praise for the team at Cha Bella and would highly recommend having your intimate wedding there!

Food was delicious. The decor was very mute but tasteful. Our waiter was very nice but they seemed to be short staffed the way everyone was running around. This didn't really interfere with our experience just presented a busy background. Overall great dining experience I would go again

My husband and I had never been to Savannah before choosing to have our wedding here. Therefore, picking a place for our reception was a little nerve racking. The staff at Cha Bella quickly eased our minds with their incredible service and accommodations. We chose to have a reception of about 50 people on their lower patio and it was gorgeous. The space was perfect for the kids to run around and play and adults to share a toast. 🥂 The staff was amazing accommodating my numerous wedding playlists, wedding video and speeches. We even had a little too much fun with a cake smash and they were more than happy to help with the cleanup. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding and are so grateful we chose Cha Bella. They’re extremely professional, helpful and a great choice for your next event

We had a great dinner here with excellent service and food. Really nice pork chop and steak, with key lime pie and creme brûlée for dessert. They were great accommodating a gluten allergy as well. Zero complaints. Pricey, but we got our money’s worth overall.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! We had our wedding at Cha Bella, and Candice (the owner) and her team really knocked it out of the park for us! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the food is top quality; you can really taste the difference. Candice, the owner, is such a gifted chef - when we did our tasting, my partner and I both said to each other it was one of the best meals of our lives, so we knew food would not disappoint on our wedding day. Sure enough, everyone was raving about the food and about the service, which was impeccable. We provided decorations and asked them to decorate, and they did such an amazing job making the venue look even more beautiful than it already is! Candice was kind and accommodating throughout the process of planning everything and even allowed us to have a piñata at the event, which was a huge hit (no pun intended). The event ran super smoothly, and everyone enjoyed themselves and kept complimenting us on everything - from the amazing food, to the venue, to all the details and decorations, to the amazing service. I cannot eat gluten and had several people at our wedding who also cannot, and Candice was super flexible, making everything for us completely gluten free, which was such a treat for me and my fellow celiacs/gluten intolerants. We asked her to do a dessert bar and to reduce the sugar on desserts since we like things less sweet, and she was totally flexible on that, too, and did such an amazing job! Everyone was raving about the dessert as well. We ordered some extra food to make sure people could have seconds, and we ended up with some leftovers, which Candice kindly let us take home (I know not all venues allow this). Thanks so much to Candice, the amazing event coordinators Selene and and Elise, and the whole team for throwing us such a dreamy wedding. It was the best evening, and folks kept on raving about how they wished they could go back in time and have their own weddings at Cha Bella! We don't live in Savannah but visit from time to time, and, needless to say, we'll be back to eat at Cha Bella often because we think it is the best restaurant in Savannah (and in GA, actually!). Thanks so much for making our special day stress free and beautiful. Candice and co. are the absolute best! I highly recommend Cha Bella for dinner or events - you won't regret choosing them!

For my birthday dinner I decided to go to Cha Bella after long research for the best place in Savannah. We were travelling from Germany to Savannah and I wanted to be sure that the restaurant really fulfills my expectations. So we went there one day before the reservation to check out the location. It was no problem to have a look at the restaurant, check the menu and select the perfect table for the next day. At my birthday we went there for dinner, and we experienced a very warm welcome, again. The table was perfect and the service excellent. We decided for Focaccia and Burrata as starter and it was no problem to get smaller plates and to share them. To all our extra wishes the answer was “absolutely”, and all my wishes were fulfilled. For the main course we had a ribeye steak that was cooked medium rare – perfect. As sides we can recommend the risotto as well as the mushrooms. Unfortunately, we had no more space for dessert but enjoyed some really good cocktails. Altogether it was the perfect birthday dinner with my husband at Cha Bella and we would definitely come back. Thanks for the warm welcome, the excellent service and the delicious food!

Absolutely wonderful! I had the grouper and my boyfriend had the bucatini. Flawless and deliciously prepared food. Love that everything is locally sourced and so carefully prepared. Excellent service from our waiter Chris. And the creme brûlée dessert was divine. We already made a reservation for tomorrow night.

Much like several other groups in Savannah, I was here for my Bachelorette trip. When planning, I found it incredibly difficult to find anywhere in the city that wasn't too expensive or too casual that could seat 10+ girls at a reasonable hour. Not to mention, we had a Vegan in our group (Savannah is NOT vegan friendly). Cha Bella allowed online booking for groups over 10 people, and they even provided a vegan menu. Granted, it wasn't vast, it was options outside of a plain house salad. My friend got the vegan risotto and said it was very tasty. The atmosphere was chill and vibey. The service was wonderful and attentive, the food was delicious, and the drinks were divine. It is pricier; however, it won't necessarily break the bank. It's a great upper-scale option for groups looking for something a little nicer.

Cutest patio that's also dog friendly. Beef carpaccio was one of the best flavored carcpaccios I've ever had! Loved the crispy capers with the pickled red onions. Nice textures and complementing flavors. Shrimp and clam puttanesca was light and airy. Flavor was super light and fresh. Very Mediterranean with the olives, capers, tomatoes and basil. Really enjoyed the handmade pasta! Husband got the black sea bass and again, nice flavors, super light and tasty. Definitely feels like a meal you can enjoy without being overly stuffed but fulfilled.

We loved our experience here! We sat outside. It was lovely. Our waiters were extremely attentive and engaging. We were treated very well. I had pasta, my companion had the risotto. Both were amazingly delicious. The pasta was made in house and was perfection. Every employee We encountered was polite, kind, and enthusiastic. It was a pleasure. Thank you for the great experience and delicious food. The cocktails were great as well!

The positives. Service was excellent. The grilled foccassia with whipped ricotta, really good. Roasted fall vegetables as a side, really good, however, not $15 for a small plate good. The hog chop, sent back the first time due to it being over cooked, dry and very tough. Second time. Cooked perfectly but still as tough and chewy as an old boot. Chef said they switched sources and these were leaner than previously bought. Ok. Still doesn’t make me feel better about paying $31 for a tough pork chop I didn’t even want to finish. Also. Pet peeve.. if you’re going to charge $18 for an old fashioned, then up charge me for using Woodford, I should NOT see cubed soda ice in that glass! One large cube. That’s it. Low class.

I will forever remember this Thanksgiving dinner. I honestly wasn’t going to write a review, but the entire experience was so absurd that I had to share here. Hopefully management can learn something from this and perhaps give up on serving Thanksgiving dinner in the future (since they clearly didn’t learn from their apparently failed Thanksgiving dinner from last year). I just wanted to preface that my boyfriend and I traveled to Savannah for Thanksgiving so we don’t live in the area and haven’t eaten here on a normal night. Maybe it’s better on a regular night? We made a reservation for 4pm ahead of time since the restaurant didn’t allow walk-ins. This means, they should have anticipated the total number of covers and prepared in advance. However, we learned that the restaurant had planned for 250 covers and ended up taking 350 for some reason. With the extra covers and the lack of employees (we also learned that there were people working that night who weren’t actually employed by the restaurant since they were so understaffed - like WHAT?!), it was a hot mess. The host looked frazzled when we walked in (bless her soul - she was the only host working), and we were seated 30 min after our reservation time. A dinner for 2 lasted close to 3 hours, where we waited ~45 min for each course to come out. The cooked food was honestly okay, but it didn’t even match the menu. We were given rolls that could have been from my own pantry, corn bread that looked like it was half eaten, and butter. Not the flavored butter listed on the menu, but just regular butter. My hen was supposed to be spatchcocked, but it was not. At least it was cooked well, but it wasn’t cooked as described on the menu nor did it look that appetizing (see photo of the shades of beige). My boyfriend’s beet Wellington was okay, but the puff pastry was mostly raw. The sides were great though, no complaints there. Dessert was fine, just very weirdly sized portions. With drinks, I had ordered this hot apple cider cocktail, but we also learned there was a fire in the bar earlier in the day so they couldn’t make any hot drinks. So fine, I was ok with a cold apple cider cocktail. However, my first cocktail had no alcohol, but then my second cocktail was only alcohol. Maybe it was their way to quell a potential riot? Who knows, but they did ultimately comp one round of drinks. Look, I get it. Thanksgiving dinner can be tough. That’s one of the reasons why we didn’t cook ourselves. So I do appreciate the effort given at this restaurant. I’m giving 1 star to the people working who really tried their best and a second star for giving my boyfriend and I so many laughs and the memories for this Thanksgiving.

This was unfortunately one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in quite a while. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived nearly blue rare. I sent it back twice, and although the third attempt was finally cooked to medium, it tasted charred and was basically inedible. Go to the Charter House in Savannah it was a 10/10 you won’t regret!! They even print your last name on the menu with a reservation! If you’re still reading nothing about the food or atmosphere felt special, and the dining area was also very dark, which didn’t help the experience. My family had similar issues with their meals as well. We were visiting Savannah on vacation and left this restaurant feeling disappointed, especially after seeing so many positive reviews that didn’t match what we experienced. I don’t want to comment on the server we had, I think he had a mental disability because we could barely understand what he was saying. We felt bad and still tipped him even though he completely disappeared after my steak was still undercooked the second time. I really hope the restaurant takes feedback like this seriously, because the quality just wasn’t there during our visit.
