Cosa dicono i clienti di Tandoori House
Tandoori House is praised for delicious, consistent Indian food and friendly service. Chicken Tikka Masala and Biryani are favorites, often described as flavorful and perfectly spiced. Some find the spice level inconsistent or the Tikka Masala too tomato-soup-like.

Such amazing food for such a low price!
The food was so amazing and good that I don’t get a pic
Really great addition to the plaza. This has been a weekly addition to my diet since it opened.
Best halal spot in Schenectady hands down 🙌🏼 Service is good and food is soo good
Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere and kind staff

The chicken biryani was amazing.
Love tandoori chicken so yummy thanks guys
Excellent food, and fast service.
Great service and food is so good
Best food in the capital district 🤞🏾
Very friendly staff, laid back environment, and consistently good food that’s come out fresh every time I’ve ordered. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Niskayuna area!
Stopped in tonight for a quick takeout dinner . Super fast and friendly service!! The food was good overall !! I will definitely be back for a fast and affordable takeout meal ! Good sized portions , great prices !
Grand Opening today. I am pleasantly surprised by the Food, Portion Size, Cleanliness & how friendly the staff was. I was told that it is a family owned and operated business. TEN STAR Review! Must Try 🤩 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We the chicken tikka masala! They’re always very nice here and the food is amazing.
I ordered the shrimp curry, samosa, mango lassie and tandoori chicken. The food and service was excellent and I will highly recommend this restaurant!
Can’t beat the chicken tikka! 🤤
Chicken kebab and potato naan was delicious. Will definitely order again and try different dishes.
Very friendly staff, generous portions, efficient service, and wallet-friendly prices. It is my go to place in Schenectady whenever I crave Pakistani/Indian food.
Nice little new spot in the area. Ordered a few different things so far and we’re happy with it. Ask for it spicy if you’re looking for heat.
I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Butter Chicken. Both were delicious. Staff was very friendly. 10/10.
We visited Tandoori House from Canada. Absolutely amazed at the authentic food served the ambience and service was outstanding! Highly recommend this place for families!
Had a privilege to order food from tandoori house in Schenectady what a great food and service every thing was hot and fresh and especially there fish was VV good highly recommended .
This was the best Asian food I have , I have tried most of the items here they are delicious. Dont miss this gem
The goat curry here is the best, always get it medium and it’s super good, perfect spice level.
Ordered shrimp and got fake fish instead. First time ordering everything was good except for the incorrect order!
Had a wonderful experience. The guy was so hospitable and friendly. Food was good too. Should visit once.
This restaurant is worth your money, I love their onion pakoras, chicken biryani, curry goat and their chicken curry
Love this place! Foods so fresh and and service is great! I recommend them highly
Service friendly n food was good it's nice park spots for big truck
I almost tried everything it’s amazing always rich in flavors
All the food was delicious. Particularly liked the chicken korma.
We were eager to try Tandoori House once they opened. The butter chicken was out of this world and the naan was HUGE! My wife loved the Chicken Kebab and was really flavorful. This will definitely be our new go to spot!
5 stars across the board. The service was excellent. The owner is very nice and down to earth. The wait was short and the food is perfect. The butter chicken is the best I've had from here to Ireland!
First time ordered today. Staff very friendly & encouraged me to take my time deciding what I wanted. Very clean, reasonable price. I got the tandoori chicken, chicken seekh kabob, saag paneer (never had it pureed before). Everything was delicious!! I will be ordering from them often!
The food was absolutely amazing! I'm from NYC and I admit this restaurant makes some amazingly comparable food with regards to taste and quality. Our favorite was the beef Chapli Kabob with naans but the biryani and butter chicken were also great. Highly recommended for the Schenectady area!
Fairly priced and very good! Two vegetarian dishes and two butter naans came out to right around ~$25. We really liked the naan and the aloo gobi, the chana masala was good but not very spicy, so if you like it spicy I'd let them know when you order.
This is hands down the best Indian food you can get! I like different types of food and try new things. This one tops it off for authentic food! I highly recommend it!
So happy to have this new restaurant nearby. The cold Samosa Chat is delightful — the fresh veggies really shine through and I swear the yogurt is homemade; this is technically an app, but it’s really a refreshing meal unto itself. Also, the Gulab Jamun dessert is really special. Do not be fooled by how “small” it is - 3 of those dough balls soaked in honey and saffron will do you just fine, trust me! Welcome to the neighborhood and … if you’re ever interested in adding Malai Kofta to the menu, I wouldn’t be mad about it.
I have been anxiously awaiting their opening and it did not disappoint. I ordered the veg samosas, naan, chicken tikka masala, and chana masala. The flavors were amazing. Staff is very friendly. I can't wait to go back!
Food was delicious and fresh! Some of the best Indian food I’ve had since I’ve moved upstate. The owner was incredibly nice too
The food was really good, one of best in the area. Location is nice, the staff was super nice, excellent customer service! The Lamb Biriyani and the mix tandoori platter was very good, the Beef Chapli kabob was the best. Highly recommend!!
First visit- Chicken tikka masala was so flavorful. Second visit- Small amount of chicken. They asked if I wanted it spicy and I said yes. It was not spicy, possibly the most bland tikka masala I've ever had.
Their Chicken Tikki Masala is AMAZING and their customer service and hospitality is impeccable me and my coworkers come here for lunch almost every day their prices are amazing and the food is delicious
Their location is quite convenient to the folks staying at Sheridan, all the recipes are Punjabi style, the Paneer biriyani is great! Onion bhaji and Samosa chaat are also good, but the samosa chaat needs to be served with Sev.
Portions are really good for the price, definitely get your bang for your buck. The Chicken Tikka was delicious and the naan was yummy!!! underrated spot fs
Nice people, homely food , cheaper prices
Always excellent service. I usually order okay least once every two weeks. I do like to change up my order and I have yet to be disappointed.
Great food! Great customer service! ❤️ Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan is a 10/10 🤤🫶🏽. Definitely a must try!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food here is outstanding. Got the Bhindi Masala (Ocra) and Dal Tadka (Lentils) this week... and had to return two days later to get the same exact thing! Some of the best Curry I've ever had - and I've eaten Curry literally all over the world :) Definitely support this small business.
It was my first time trying Indian food from a restaurant, and the staff was very helpful in explaining what everything was to my mom and I and answering any questions (even ones that sounded silly) the food was cooked fast and super hot when it came out and stayed hot on my way home and even a little while after. The veg samosas, the garlic naan, and the chicken tikka masala 10/10 for ALL. Portion was amazing too so I have some for dinner and some for lunch the next day, will definitely be going back
I've never been disappointed. Lots of ability to select your spice level when you order online. The lamb saag is my go-to most of the time.
The owner is absolutely amazing kind and makes sure you’re happy with your order . It’s hands down the best Pakistani Indian restaurant the food is so amazing. If you eat here you won’t go anywhere else
Just finished an excellent meal. First time trying and everything was delicious. Samosa, naan (cheese and plain), and 2 chicken dishes (tikka Masala and butter) were all solid. It’s not super greasy and the portions are just fine. Note, the sauce you get with the samosa is pretty hot so be aware if you don’t like the hot stuff. If you’re in the area, give them a try! I’ll certainly be back!
A cute, "hole-in-the-wall" type of place, tucked in the corner of a strip mall. I was hoping for a small sit-down restaurant but I'm just very happy to find a solid Indian restaurant again. The food was exceptional... Heat levels were above average, sauce flavors were euphoric, and near perfect naan. An easy, knife-free meal as everything is cooked to perfection. Recommendations: Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Achari, Garlic Naan
Very good food, my favorite so far was the chicken biryani. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they care about the food they're cooking. Will absolutely be going again. The Qorma wasn't as spicy as I expected so if you like spicier maybe mention that. The flavor was still great though! Also had the chicken 65 which was delicious.
First timer for lunch. FAST and Friendly service! The garlic naan was very large and tasty. The chicken tika was very, very good. Quality chicken and so flavorful. The rice was great. I'll be back.
One bite of my food from here and this is the best introduction to Indian food I could’ve gotten, the owner was very welcoming, had good conversation as well. Ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken came out perfectly, seasoning was delicious, the cream was a very good texture and the white rice was very soft, major props and thanks to the cook! I hate getting hard very chewy rice so this was a major plus! All in all, would definitely recommend this place to anyone, familiar with or even brand new to Indian food. Will definitely be coming back here very soon! - Matthew
The owner is very pleasant and the vegetable biryani was so delicious with a perfect amount of spice.

We order for delivery regularly and pick up rarely but the food is always consistently great! When I pick up they are so so pleasant and really customer focused. Everything we order is always good and I especially love their vegetable samosas! Wonderful food, kind people, and convenient! What’s not to love!?
The food here is to die for. When I want the best biryani I’ve ever had, this is my go to. The food is consistent, delicious, and made with love. Every time I get my order it is like picking up a meal my grandma made. Every person there is so pleasant and they take pride in their cooking. The spice levels are no joke, so if you’re not into spice be sure to ask for mild. I’ve been ordering from here at least twice a month since the week they opened and it’s a place you can’t afford to skip out on.
I love the food and the service is great! Lots of great options, including vegetarian. It's absolutely great no matter what you've ordered you can expect it to be delicious. My favorite thing here is extra spicy genuinely means spicy. A lot of places act like a slight kick means "extra" spicy when it's a true mild at best. I love this place.
This place is great. The food and service is way above average. I’ve orders a number of different things from their menu and everything has been amazing and consistently so. Highlight for me are the Chicken Vindaloo, Tandoori Chicken, Samosas and the Mango Lassi. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.
Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, extra hot. The chef made it perfectly. Just the right amount of spice. Great food! Will return.
Can’t recommend this place enough. Without a doubt not only the best Indian I’ve ever had, but the best food I’ve ever had entirely. The chicken tikka masala and biryani tasted like it was made by gods. The amount of care and love that goes into their food is incredible. The naan was delicious as well. You can tell they use a tandoor to cook it, it’s perfect. All of the food had lots of spice too it, caught myself sniffling at times. If you’re on the edge about trying this place, do yourself a favor and call them now and order one of everything. Trust me. You will not be disappointed.
Tried these guys on a whim last week and I'm already back for more. Honestly some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. Great prices and the people who work there are so nice. I wholeheartedly recommend their food!
This is a great little take out shop with deliciousness. Try that mango drink they have in the cooler. I want like 3 gallons of the stuff. Also, the cheese naan was top notch
This Indian spot is hands-down the best in the area (and other states as well) The Chicken Tikka Masala is so savory & tasty - And I love it spicy. When I ask for it spicy they make it Indian spicy - It’s absolutely perfect. I lived in Dallas for awhile and tried nearly every spot there. Doesn’t even come close to the Tandoori House. I can’t even imagine there being 1 bad review on here, they seriously don’t know what they’re talking about. Try any other spot in the capital region and see if it comes close (it doesn’t) - The owner is so nice as well. Will always return here. Love it.

Food was amazing, not oily at all which I love. Would recommend!
Great service and good food, what more can you ask?
Great food. Could have used a bit more spice. I asked for medium and it was supper light, to my taste anyway.
Great food, good value. The lamb korma had a very pleasant level of spice.
Not bad. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. For 12.99 I felt the portion was large. It was probably the more spicer tikka masala I've ever had, not too spicy though. I would of liked to have some onions and green peppers in the sauce. It seemed like 5 pieces of chicken swimming in sauce. The garlic Naan was good. It's huge. I ordered To go and my order was ready on time.

Very friendly and great prices, but all three of the curries we purchased were very skimpy on the chicken. The naan was very good. Cannot recommend the chicken 65. Tastes a lot like ketchup. The tikka masala was very good though.

this place has Flavorless foods they should be Ashamed of calling themselves Indian or Pakistani Foods they need New Cooks the Food is all Oily & Saucy but No Flavor again but those who wants this Food go ahead for the Neigborhood atleast now they got Variety but it's nothing to talk about
Food is average. The "biryani" tasted like pullav. The place had a deserted, abandoned look. There was no other staff except one guy at the counter, who is also the cook!! He was sullen, unsmiling and had a look of dismay when we walked in. At their prices, I would have expected a much better experience. We are definitely never going to this place again. Ever.
I ordered the Shrimp Biryani and the flavor was great but the shrimp were penny size and it was mostly rice, so I wouldn't order this dish again. Paid $12.99 should be more like $4.99. It's similar to an order of shrimp fried rice. Dishes are Overpriced.
Channa Masala did not taste anything like Channa Masala--bland and the chickpeas were mushy. Naan was flavorless and tough. Paneer Saag was decent, but nothing special. Rice was flavorful with nice cumin seed spicing.
Gone there after seeing good reviews, but was disappointed. Food was very average, I asked for spicy and food tasted like raw spices were added. Average experience
I ordered the paneer tikka, veggie samosa, naan, and gulab jamun. The paneer was flavorless! The naan was small and hard. The samosa was average like the ones you get frozen. Everything to me was overpriced and not with it.
If you like Indian food at all. Then don’t come here. I LOVE chicken tikka masala and this… was just basically Campbell’s tomato soup… with 5 pieces of chicken. Awful. Watery and smells weird

I ordered chicken biryani, 90% rice, I could almost see the chicken, this is bad, I will not buy again
Chicken Tika tasted like tomato soup.
Worst Indian food I ever had!!
Bad service of staff & food was not good at all
Wasn't surprised food had no taste makes i feel like them Rasta from Jamaica it's like eating ital food without no taste, rice was hard chicken was dried..
Anyone who eats this food is sick.
Does not taste good at all. There are better options in the area.
Arguably the worst Indian food I’ve ever eaten and I do not say that lightly. Chicken vindaloo was tomato soup with chicken in. Nice people but never again will I eat here. Really disappointed after giving this place a chance.
Ordered takeaway, so can't really comment on the interior or service other than it looks like a take-out place. We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Achari, and Goat Curry. The tandoori was bone dry and flavorless, which is impressive for something literally covered in spice paste when cooked. Not a very good sign as their namesake dish. It was served with some steamed but again, overdone pepper and onions. These were the only vegetables included in the meal. The achari was just chicken in sauce with no vegetables, same with the goat curry. Both were similarly bland, with the chicken again being dry despite swimming in sauce. The sauce itself also seemed to have broken, with a thin liquid layer over a curdled tomato base. The goat was... okay, more bone than meat but that was expected at this point. Both would have been better with anything else in them, especially at the price tag. The only thing that passed the plummeting bar is the garlic naan, served whole and covered in All in all, every aspect was missing flavor and substance. We are gonna stick to our usual place even though this one is much closer, especially with both places charging the same. It's the first time I haven't been excited for leftovers.
This has to be the worst food I’ve ever had no taste. The chicken 65 is boiled chicken in sauce, the chicken biryani is boil chicken with no flavor in white rice, the butter chicken is bland. This is just bad food with no taste The naan is stiff and dry. This restaurant should be ashamed to sell this awful food.
Probably one of the worst Indian food places I have ever tried. The chicken curry was bland, not a lot of flavor and tasted more of tomato soup.
I ordered from here multiples time before and today I am highly disappointed with the food. The chicken Tikka massala taste like tomato soup and have small chunks of chicken tasting like it came from a can, for $15 this is highly unacceptable. I also order lamb biryani medium and it has no taste at all and no spice. Additional I got the samosa and was not given any sauce with them, they were dry and hard. For the price I pay from my meal I shouldn’t have to order a second dinner. I will never be coming here again!!
The worst Indian food I have ever had. Canned chicken in Campbell’s tomato soup instead of real chicken tikka. Save your money and order from Shalimar. The photo is all of the chicken I received in my order next to the amount of tomato soup in the package. Check out how the chicken is the exact size and shape of canned chicken.

The worst food I’ve ever had!! Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Naan & Chicken Biryani. Chicken tikka masala was none other than stale tomato soup with canned chicken, naan’s felt like frozen(just heated)
Not one to complain typically. I door dashed this establishment, so I cannot speak to in person experience. I typically give a place 3 chances, but this experience was sub standard enough that I will not be returning. I ordered vindaloo chicken that was almost completely potato. There was barely any chicken at the party. It was okay flavor wise. Barely any lamb in my byriani as well. By barely I counted 4 small hunks in the chicken, maybe 6 small pieces of lamb. My mattar paneer had NO peas. None. The dish is peas in sauce with paneer cheese. No peas. But I will say the sauce was pretty tasty. The garlic naan was decent. The Kashmiri naan was sub par as well. I was under the weather and should have reached out to the restaurant but I did not. I just won’t be back.
