Recensioni di Can Laury Sitges
Volveremos seguro.
5 of us had reserved a table here for lunch on a weekday in the first week of November. We were shown to a lovely circular table and got settled in with some crisps that were on our table for us. We ordered prawn starter to share and they were wonderful. The mains were equally good I shared a prawn and monkfish fideua, others had tuna tartar, chicken and fish. The service was excellent, attentive and un-rushed. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
I recently dined at Can Laury Sitges, and it was an extraordinary 5-star experience from start to finish! Nestled along the picturesque Port d’Aiguadolç, this restaurant combines stunning marina views with an ambiance that’s both elegant and welcoming—a perfect balance of sophistication and Mediterranean charm. The menu is a celebration of fresh, seasonal ingredients, and every dish we tried was a testament to their mastery of seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. The Arroz Caldoso con Bogavante (lobster brothy rice) was an absolute standout—rich, fragrant, and brimming with tender lobster chunks, the rice soaked up the deep, savory seafood broth in a way that felt both indulgent and soul-warming. It’s hands-down one of the best rice dishes I’ve ever tasted, perfectly showcasing their expertise with arroces. Another highlight was the Turbot a la Parrilla (grilled turbot). This dish arrived with a golden, lightly charred exterior, yet the fish remained impossibly moist and flaky inside. Served with a drizzle of olive oil and a hint of lemon, its simplicity let the pristine quality of the fish shine through—truly a must-order for seafood lovers. The Gambas a la Plancha (grilled prawns) were equally divine—plump, juicy, and kissed with a smoky char, their natural sweetness elevated by a touch of sea salt. I couldn’t get enough of dipping the crusty bread into the garlicky juices left behind. For starters, the Chipirones a la Andaluza (Andalusian-style fried squid) were a crispy, golden delight—lightly battered, tender, and paired with a zesty aioli that added just the right kick. The Ensalada de Tomate con Ventresca (tomato salad with tuna belly) was a refreshing surprise, with ripe, juicy tomatoes layered with silky tuna, drizzled in a vibrant olive oil dressing that tied it all together. Dessert was the perfect finale—the Crema Catalana had a flawlessly caramelized sugar crust that cracked to reveal a creamy, vanilla-infused custard beneath, balancing richness with a light citrus note. Paired with a glass from their well-curated wine list, it was pure bliss. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, with staff who clearly take pride in their craft. The setting—glass walls overlooking the swaying yachts—only enhanced the magic of the meal. Can Laury Sitges is a culinary gem that deserves every one of its 5 stars. If you’re in Sitges, don’t miss it—especially the lobster rice and grilled turbot. I’m already dreaming of my next visit! Notes on the Best Dishes: • Arroz Caldoso con Bogavante: Frequently praised for its rich flavor and generous seafood, a signature rice dish that’s a top pick. • Turbot a la Parrilla: A standout for its perfect execution and fresh quality, often highlighted in reviews. • Gambas a la Plancha: Simple yet exceptional, a seafood classic done right. • Chipirones a la Andaluza: A crowd-pleasing starter with great texture and taste.
This is a seafood restaurant that I visited after being introduced to it by the Airbnb owner. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar provided at each table made the pre-dinner bread delicious. The cool cava enriched the taste of the dish. You have to pay for the bread on the table. Be sure to try the octopus and grilled squid dishes. It's so soft, fresh and delicious. Seafood paella is perfect for Koreans' tastes, like eating fried rice made with the leftover broth from seafood stew. The seafood included was really fresh and delicious. Lemon beer Clara is the best!! The staff are also very friendly. The price is a bit high, but it's worth it. I definitely want to visit when I come back to Sitges.
Our favourite fish restaurant in Sitges Port Aiguadolç. Always busy & popular; their fish is wonderfully fresh & perfectly prepared. Great waiters with senses of humour. Our third dinner last night in the last month; each one has been even better than the previous visit. Fabulous! (Pics from all of our visits; we aren’t that greedy). People have commented that Can Lauro is expensive; this hasn’t been our experience. It’s big portions of delicious fish; you’d expect to pay €20-25 for a main course. Good wines too.
Food here is really fresh, specially the fish which is clearly fresh and wild. Prices are fair, around 35 euros per person for a loooooot of food (1 appetizers + 1 dish per person) Nice sunset as well which makes it a no brainer for 5 stars. I strongly recommend considering the good price.
Service and food was excellent considering how busy it was. Living locally, I know it has a good reputation and I wasn't disappointed. We had a paella and it was cooked perfectly and not over salted. Definitely worth going back. Excided my expectations.
Great location on the seafront, warm and cosy despite being inside a kind of glass shelter. Food was good, though on our second visit here it wasn't quite as nice as before. Not many people here which was a shame, made it a little too quiet. However, some people did enter once we sat down. Very friendly waitress which was nice! I'd suggest checking this place out; The truffle carbonara pizza was absolutely incredible!
Mediterranean restaurant located in front of the maritime harbor, 20min ago from the center of Sitges by foot. The place is in a privileged spot and the service was very welcoming and attentive. We ordered two paellas: "fideuá" and Laury's marisco-based paella. The paella was very good (4/5) while the fideuá was not great, not bad (3/5). They serve you bread and chips as starter without ordering them - I would have preferred being asked. Price was according to the views, venue, food quality and service.
We drove from Barcelona to have lunch here; rang to make a reservation but it was told they were full. We came here anyway and fortunately, they had a table available at 4 pm. The food was good and the service was great. Jason, our Filipino waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Although we enjoyed the delicious flavors of the food, I think the price was a little bit high for lunch. The restaurant is located in a touristy area at the port so I suppose that’s why. The paella negra was E18.50 per person. With wine and 3 appetizers, our bill came to E125.
Great grilled fish - had monk fish which was beautifully soft and tasty. We wanted something different to paella and tapas and just a little light meal. This was perfect. For desert we had creme catalan (must try if you come to Spain but be prepared for a more watery creme brule). The staff were amazing amazing and service was incredibly quick. It was right on the harbour front
Complicado aparcar si no quieres pagar.
The food was delicious, but the service was unfortunately quite rude. We visited during dinner and ordered the Octopus Galician with potato bed as our starter, and the Soup Rice with lobster for two. Since we had already had alcohol at lunch, we decided not to drink in the evening, but the waiter’s reaction made us feel very uncomfortable. After we finished the starter, the waiter came to change our plates. My wife mentioned that she had not finished her bread, but he insisted on changing the plates anyway and made her lift up the bread herself, which felt unnecessary and disrespectful. Throughout the meal, no one came to check on us—no follow-up, no asking if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay, our card didn’t go through because we didn’t have enough euros in the account. The waiter’s expression and attitude were impolite; he simply said “again” without even a “please.” It was honestly unpleasant. That said, the food was very good. The soup rice was flavorful, the lobster fresh and firm, and the broth rich and tasty.
This is a tough one. We were recommended Can Laury and decided to try. The service was mixed at best. Slow at first certainly. Some of the food was great (grilled squid). My fish was undercooked for my liking and the wife’s monk fish was not great for the price. Overall, lovely location and views. The food was not on par with the price.
Fuimos a comer y salimos bastante decepcionados.
To be honest i don’t like writing reviews. I only do so when a restaurant is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. So here we go. We live in Sitges for a few years (5?) and we’ve been to Can Laury about 3 times. 1st time (over a year ago) was good when it comes to food (we just ordered smoked salmon and bread and a bottle of wine). It may have been the wine talking, but the food was tasty. However, we noted the service was SO bad, the attitude, the way they talk and even look at you.. it’s kinda creepy even. as if they were looking down on you and you owe them smth 😅 Second time around the food was significantly worse, had less compliments to it. The fish wasn’t fresh, the wine was warm and they tried to add as many ‘free’ things on the table you have to pay later (the first time they gave us free (as per them) bread and tried to charge €5 (!) for just the bread after. But the attention got even worse! Much ruder, meaner etc. it looks like they really hate what they do. The last time I came (today) I didn’t even sit down because they aggressively refused me to sit down for a drink in a completely empty restaurant saying it’s food not (late in the evening, they have 30+ tables , completely empty (although for a reason, right? Haha). Never coming back here. Not worth it - with prices SO high and food SO bad, you can find any other restaurant nearby for more economical and tastier food and better views 😅🤫
While the food was truly delicious — hats off to the chef — the service was hugely disappointing and left us with a bad overall experience. When we first approached the restaurant, my husband simply asked if they had beer on draft. Instead of answering, the waiter replied with “oh, so no dinner?” which felt unnecessarily confrontational. We clarified that we did want dinner and again asked about draft beer. After confirming they had it, he seated us at a middle table. The next server came over and immediately asked for our order before we even had menus. I politely asked for a few minutes. A third waiter arrived, more insistent, and after I asked about the sangria and Wi-Fi, he told us we needed to order food to get the password. I said we’d start with drinks and then order food, but he pushed back, saying we had to order food first. This felt unnecessarily aggressive, especially as the restaurant was almost empty (less than one-third full) on a Saturday night. When we first arrived, I also asked to sit at a waterfront table but was told they were “reserved.” The tables remained empty for most of the night. Later, I saw another guest (without a reservation) successfully request one of those tables after some back-and-forth, at which point the waiter simply removed the “reserved” sign and seated her there. If you have policies, then enforce them consistently — or don’t have them at all. Unfortunately, this experience was frustrating enough that I wouldn’t return and will definitely not recommend this place to my sailing friends.
Food-wise, an unexpected disappointment I would rather forget. We ordered the seafood paella which is what they are known for. We were excited and try layout the food for pictures. It looks a lot better than the reality. The paella was as dry as the brown-texture setting looked. It was not that red saucy texture that is advertised. We struggle to finish 75%. The recommended white wine was as bad as their paella. We left with full glasses. The "grilled" squid seemed anything but grilled and tasted like pannes-fried gummy. Except for the bread, the appitizers were unappetizing. The dinner wounded up to be triple the price of the much better restaurants at the waterfront of downtown Sitges. The positive side is the service was polite and attentive. This is an observation. If the restaurant looks overly fancy, avoid. If there are minimum person requirements, be suspicious. We went here because of local food-recommendation web sites. We find them to be highly inaccurate. We had better luck with new restaurants with few or no reviews. Or better yet, international foodie groups. Can Laury put a real damper on what was a wonderful experience in Spain thus far. Don't like to be so negative, but a hard NO for Can Laury.
