We hosted our daughter's 12th birthday party here and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. We had an amazing experience. Nice atmosphere across from the marina serving great food. Ordered char grilled oyster appetizer which was very good in a spicy butter sauce. Our entrees were blackened mahi- mahi with veggies and chicken francese with risotto. The chicken was tender and the risotto very creamy. The fish was also very good but not spicy hot enough for my taste and the mango chutney over the fish was a nice combination for the dish. Didn't have dessert but I did take a pic of the dessert menu to show the delicious offerings.

Really amazing fresh seafood! The buffalo shrimp was amazing along with the baked clams and octopus scampi everything was so fresh and gone as soon as it hit the table. Our entrees were amazing everyone was impressed and ate everything. If you want fresh quality seafood with a view come to Cole’s

Cole’s Dockside is an amazing restaurant, with gorgeous views, great food, and even better staff. I held my son’s first birthday party at Cole’s Dockside this past weekend and everyone raved about the food and service. I cannot say enough good things about them- From the planning process working with Mike and Lisa, to the day of service working with the new owner and Scott (head wait staff), everything went smoothly. The staff and especially the new owner were so gracious and accommodating. They met all of my needs and then some. We had a large party, which couldn’t be closed off, and I had high expectations for layout and decor. The new owner opened the restaurant very early to allow my decorator to come in and set up and his staff set up the event the exact way I had asked for. He also allowed me to use the completely renovated back room/patio for kids entertainment, which he did not have to do, but was the hit of the party for these children. Mike (manager/bartender) also did a quick magic show for my guests, which was a big hit! If you’re looking for a great place to have dinner with relaxing and gorgeous views or if you’re looking for a place to host your next party, Cole’s Dockside is it! We will certainly be returning! My wife and I were looking for a place we haven't tried & found this hidden gem. So I'm glad we did! We were seated right away. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. Our server was Ian, he was 👌 awesome!!! Everything here was great! Their special cocktails were delicious, I had a Caramel Apple Mule. The appetizers were great we tried crab cake, baked clams & firecracker shrimp. The main course we had the chefs special ~Pumpkin Seed Crusted Mahi Mahi. ~ Lobster & Shrimp Fra Diavolo Both we fantastic 👏. We finished it off with a Banana Buttee it was good. I can't believe this was our first time here. I definitely recommend this place for lunch, dinner, small family party, dates or even come solo. They have a bar & tvs. I will be back here again soon!!

Excellent restaurant. Excellent food and excellent staff. We were here for my Mother’s Birthday and our waiter Dan was outstanding. Attentive, Social, and Hilarious. Excellent service. Cole’s Dockside is just one of those hidden Gems on Staten Island. It’s a great atmosphere and a great location. It has an excellent waterside view. With respect to the food. As I mentioned above, excellent. However, simply saying the food is excellent is not enough. When you go to a restaurant like Cole’s Dockside presentation is also an important part of the experience. I must say, the plate presentation was great. The decoration of the plates were wonderful. Props and bonus points for the food plating. Overall an outstanding experience. Highly recommend for anyone.

We had the prefixes menu. Firecracker shrimp were fried with Lil sauce. Blackened salmon with mushroom risotto was very tasty and nice size portion. The pork chop was absolutely insane.

Coles is nice on a summers day. Good views of a marina and yachts for sale. The vibe was alive with people having a good time. There's a nice menu with plenty of seafood and landlubber items. A great coffee menu also

A very nice lunch with an old friend at Cole’s Dockside in Great Kills. We started with Paper Airplanes (bourbon, Amaro Averna & lemon juice) We shared the eggplant rollatini as an appetizer. For mains, she had the blackened mahi mahi and I had the filet of sole Francese. Too bad the weather wasn’t better! The view would have been incredible.

One of the best restaurants on the island and is right next to the shoreline with a great view. There's also a nice park right next to the restaurant for kids. The atmosphere is great, although there's not a lot of wait staff they're very attentive. We went right after they stopped their pre fixed menu but the waitress gave it to us anyways. The prices are very reasonable and the taste of the food is at the price level. We had 4 people and a bottle of free wine. The calamari was very crispy, oysters were probably blue points, nothing too fancy. The carbonera had too much cheese on it. chicken francaise was ok. The clam linguine was very good. the stuff porkchop was overcooked but the taste is very good. Fresh clam chowder and the chicken spring roll was super crispy. Overall it's a great place, second time here and I would recommend it if you've never been.

As a food enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for exceptional dining experiences. Cole's Dock Side had been on my radar for quite some time, thanks to the many rave reviews it had received. Located on a picturesque marina, I was excited to see what culinary delights the restaurant had to offer. Unfortunately, despite having a decent experience, I was left feeling rather underwhelmed. Upon arrival, it was hard not to be captivated by the serene waterfront setting, which set the stage for a potentially memorable evening. However, this initial excitement was soon dampened by the lengthy wait time to be seated. Even though the restaurant was fairly busy, the delay seemed excessive, particularly as we had made a reservation in advance. Once seated, we were eager to peruse the menu, which boasted a selection of seafood dishes and American classics. We decided on an assortment of appetizers to start, including the crab cakes and calamari. The presentation was visually appealing, but the flavors were somewhat lacking, failing to make a lasting impression. The crab cakes, for instance, could have benefited from a zestier sauce, while the calamari needed a touch more seasoning. For our main courses, we ordered the grilled salmon and the surf and turf. The salmon was cooked well and the accompanying vegetables were fresh, but the dish as a whole failed to excite our taste buds. The surf and turf, featuring a filet mignon and shrimp, was a similar story. While the steak was cooked to our desired temperature, the shrimp was slightly overcooked, and both components were under-seasoned. Given the stunning marina location and glowing reviews, I had expected a dining experience that went above and beyond the ordinary. However, the food at Cole's Dock Side was merely satisfactory, and nothing truly stood out as exceptional. The service was attentive and friendly, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the unremarkable dishes. As a restaurant located in such a prime spot, with a reputation for excellence, I believe that Cole's Dock Side has the potential to be so much more. It's crucial for them to up their game, both in terms of flavor and creativity, to truly thrive in the competitive culinary landscape. I hope that, in the future, the management takes note of customer feedback and makes the necessary improvements, so as to live up to the high expectations set by their prime location and glowing reviews. In conclusion, while Cole's Dock Side didn't leave me with any major complaints, it also didn't provide the memorable dining experience I had anticipated. The long wait time and merely satisfactory food make it hard for me to wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. I hope that the restaurant takes the opportunity to evolve and grow, so that it can reach its full potential and truly make a lasting impression on its patrons.

Don’t be fooled by the ketchup colored marinara, it’s actually pretty good. However, the pasta was definitely not homemade and the one of our main courses never came. Brands itself as a seafood place but more Italian then anything.

Place was very busy on Friday, 7/25. We were seated right away but it took a long time for a server to come take our table. We ordered wine and a martini (actually charged $4 for olives in the drink!) I never saw that in my life! crab cake appetizer (very good) and 2 fish specials (halibut). Specials were $46 each. We were never told the price and the entrees were definitely not worth the cost. Just felt like we were nickeled and dimed here lately, probably not coming back any time soon
