Recensioni di Druthers Coffee Stony Brook
What can I say, I love Druthers! Coffee is always top notch and their specialty drinks are always thoughtful and creative. And the food - so good - get the egg sandwich (I add avocado to mine) - it's unbelievable! It's got a great vibe, too. Only downside - weekend morning waits are no joke. Try ordering ahead if you can't pack your patience :) But the wait is worth it!
I typically don’t write reviews, but this place is just amazing. The drip coffee tastes so delicious and a very nice alternative to your typical Starbucks. Very rich, yet balanced in taste. I also would recommend the chocolate chip scone. Definitely recommend if your around the area!
Probably the best non-roaster coffee shop we've been to! Their staff is all expertly trained in making great coffee--including pour over brews (which I highly recommend trying!). Their food is amazing as well (big fan of their egg sandwich!). So glad to have this spot in our backyard!
excellent lavender latte. however the staff doesn't call out orders? they just silently put coffee out on the counter and wait for you to come up and look at it. weirdly annoying. otherwise good coffee. in reply to the owners comment: I promise they did not. I stood five feet from the coffee bar and watched the barista plop my drink and another on the counter and walk away. I'm sure they're supposed to call it out, but some workers do not.
I never write reviews, but felt compelled after having their ricotta toast the other day. It was incredible. Also a fan of the large ice cubes they put in the iced coffees. Great place to study, just come fully charged because they only have one outlet. Fav coffee place in town.
BEST. COFFEE. EVER. Seriously, this is the best coffee I’ve ever had. They only use the the best coffee, and they make all of their own flavors. No overly sweet, fake, artificial flavors like you find at the giant corporate outfits. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Food is great as well, but plan on it taking a pretty long time 🤪 Truly happy to have a place like this in three village.
My third visit. There would be many more if I didn't live in Missouri! Previous stops included our group sharing a number of breakfast/brunch items with great coffee. But today was different: it was Saturday after 5pm when Druthers serves adult beverages. I was persuaded to try a Druthers Martini: espresso, a coffee liquor and vodka. I'm not a martini fan, and espresso is strong for my taste, but this drink was INCREDIBLY smooth and delicious. The best hummus ever with a cheese plate that included Cotswold cheddar put this experience over the top. Kudos to this amazing shop! Of course, I'll be back!
Wonderful cafe! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The Egg sandwich on the Everything Bagel is simply amazing. Great coffee & tea (hot & cold). They have good Wifi and don't mind you sitting and working for a while. Convenient location, practically across the street from the Stony Brook train station and just a few minutes from the Stony Brook University campus.
Today I went to Druthers for the third time and finally got food. I have to say the egg sandwich is up there with some of the best I've had. Its different than what everyone else offers with such great flavor. The teas and coffee are always perfect. The atmosphere is so light and open. I don't live in the area but go to Stony Brook so i'm excited when school opens back up so I can come here more regularly!
Amazing addition to town! Great coffee and tea and atmosphere. I love their iced chai fog! It’s also a great spot to meet up with someone to chat over a cup of coffee OR get out of the house and do work. They have lots of seating inside and outside. The owners and employees are so kind and accommodating. Support local and visit :)
Amazing new coffee shop. The coffee is great. The rest of the menu looks fantastic as well. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu. The owners/baristas are all super pleasant and they make some killer coffee. Great addition to the stony brook area.
Visited for the first time this morning, and it is now my favorite coffee shop. I wish it was a little closer, but I'll have to find some more excuses to go to Stony Brook. Coffee was absolutely delicious, and they have multiple vegan options which I will have to go back to try. Very bright and open atmosphere and super friendly staff.
phenomenal service, gorgeous interior, extremely clean. our area really needed a spot like this and their seasonal menus are unique and have alot of thought put into it. 10/10!
Amazing people working behind the counter making those amazing drinks! The food is delicious. Rippian, Abbie, Ray are all stars ✨ they make getting coffee so enjoyable!!! Thank you for making my morning every morning!!! Amazing service
From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming staff make you feel right at home. They’re always ready with great recommendations, ensuring you leave with something you’ll absolutely love. The fresh cinnamon buns are out of this world— perfectly sweet, and served with powdered sugar on top. They’re a must-try and pair beautifully with their amazing chai, which is hands-down some of the best I’ve had. It’s perfectly spiced and just the right amount of creamy, making it the ultimate cozy treat. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a leisurely treat, it’s always a fantastic experience. Highly recommend! 🥐☕✨
This is hands down my favorite cafe. A local gem. High quality and a homey vibe. The coffee is perfection, everything is delicious. And I even love the house special roasted beans !
The staff is amazing. Just the sweetest people ever. Talented baristas as well as helpful and knowledgeable too. The drinks are great and the cookies have me by the soul. The chocolate chip and blackout cookies are the best I’ve ever had.
First time here at Druthers, and it was a very pleasant experience. Food is well portioned so you don’t over eat and very tasty. Coffee is very well made and served with a smile. Coffee shop overall is very cute and quaint. 10/10🗣️🫡
10/10, no notes. Excellent coffee. They make a true traditional cappuccino. I have loved everything on their menu as well: the bagel sandwich and the frittata are faves. Friendly and welcoming baristas!
Great place to grab a coffee, hang out, meet with friends. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It can get busy but the service is reasonably quick and the lattes and cappuccinos are consistently good. Better than Starbucks in my opinion
It was perfect! So clean and pretty inside. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered a burnt caramel latte and my boyfriend got a Macha latte, both were delicious. Truly the best latte I've had in a long time. Similar to Starbucks prices, but in my opinion it is worth it here! Will be back to try more of the food and drink options.
The Druthers Egg Sandwich is amazing and the coffee was delicious!! Highly recommend.
I feel this is one of the best coffee shops in Suffolk county. Their coffee and syrups are quality and coffee always consistently delicious! Their iced matcha latte is the best I’ve ever had with the amazing assistance of their ever-lasting ice cubes!
Needed a place to sit down and do a little work since I missed my LIRR train, and the next one wasn’t going to be for another 1.5h. Instead of going back somewhere on Stony campus, I spontaneously decided to explore the new stores they had, and saw Druthers. It’s a cute yet fancy coffee shop with either other individuals doing there work, or friends/couples sitting down for a talk. It was quiet enough to work, but a good enough atmosphere to feel comfy talking. I was stuck between 3 drinks (London Fog, Blue Cocoa, and their green smoothie?), so the 2 ladies working in the front helped me decide. :) I decided to go out of my comfort zone and ordered something new (Iced Blue Cocoa), which only comes in one size. I forgot what the ingredients were on the menu, but it was a mix of white chocolate, butterfly pea tea, some other ingredients, and another tea?? So it was pleasantly sweet, but not TOO sweet in a good way. They also have a guest wifi which you need to ask for the password to use. My spontaneous decision to explore and also sit down here was the best decision yet :) will be coming back to try more coffee drinks and the food. The only thing I would have to say is that I don’t think there is a spot to charge your devices? So come fully charged or with a portable! Nice bathroom too.
Love stopping in rain or shine. Staff, even when busy, are friendly. Raymond not only checked on my order today but made it on the spot. Much appreciated. Literally obsessed with their pastries and sandwiches. Compliments to the chef in the back ( yes we see you working hard ) A gem to have locally. Keep up the great work!
Love this place! Really friendly staff and an absolutely beautifully designed interior space. I love their iced americano, I judge coffee places on how good their americanos taste black, if you can drink it black and it's smooth that means they are using high quality espresso on a dialed in machine. If you are in the area check out this place!
This is THE BEST coffee shop and café. I am usually a black cold brew drinker, occasionally with oat, and as mostly a purist I can say the coffee itself is excellent, not over or under brewed, and deliciously smooth. The lattes and more involved drinks are carefully crafted and delicious as well- my fiancé will sometimes get one and I’ll enjoy a sip or two. The menu always has something new and exciting on it! The food deserves its own review. I am slowly working my way through each delicious item. The breakfast burrito, is amazing, perfect portion and you can really tell it’s made with care. Sweet potato toast- out of this world. You would be hard pressed to find something that doesn’t make you want to come back and order it again. The pastries are AMAZING. My personal fave is the lavender loaf- iced on three sides, perfectly moist, subtle lavender flavor and just enough sweetness. If you want a little treat with your coffee, they do not disappoint. You can really tell when business owners care about the details, and Druther’s Coffee truly has it all- from the welcoming and beautifully decorated interior, to the carefully curated retail wall, and the delightful outdoor seating. Put it on your list of must visit coffee shops and prepare to be impressed. I live in Huntington, so I am not an everyday customer, but I make time to drive out and visit as often as I can. :)
What a charming, well-designed, and welcoming space to grab some delicious coffees, pastries, or freshly made sandwiches. The coffee varieties cover the classic basics while offering other exotic options for those who like to indulge in some new flavors. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and accommodating for all types of diners and coffee lovers. We enjoyed a delicious decaf espresso over ice, while our vegetarian friends chowed down on some grilled cheese and Caprese sandwich perfections. The owners know how to create a perfectly adorned, local coffee spot, filled with happy gormandizing patrons!
Druthers is the BEST! I go here multiple times per week for coffee, lattes, iced tea, hot chocolate (in the winter!), and the most delish food. You’ve got to try their award winning bagel sandwich, the arepa toast (fried egg, avocado, halloumi, and salsa on an arepa corn cake) or any of their baked goods. Pro tip - on Friday and Saturday nights they serve cocktails, wine & coffee/tea and the most delish bar snacks and appetizers!
Druthers Coffee takes the egg sandwich to unprecedented heights, offering a unique and delectable twist on the classic morning favorite. Their innovative approach combines fluffy, perfectly cooked eggs with unexpected, gourmet fillings, crafting a breakfast experience that's both satisfying and delightfully surprising.
The burnt caramel latte was delicious in iced as well as hot options! The interior of the shop is also very asthetically pleasing and extremely clean. The employees were also very helpful and informative with their menu items. Definitely worth the stop!
We were in town for a friend's wedding. Such a nice coffee shop. It's always a goal of mine to find nice little coffee spots. & this one didn't disappoint!! I made sure to grab some swag (tote bag and some coffee beans!) Because I want to remember to come back again!
If I had my druthers, I'd go to this coffee shop every morning. But I rarely have my way in anything save for my order of their cold fashioned(pictured). It's a deliciously intense mixture of cold brew and bitters, burnt orange and a luxardo maraschino cherry. Their rather stellar barista tells me it's going away soon with the season which really should cost them 2 stars, but I'll be kind. The space is clean and bright, the egg sandwich simple but unforgettable thanks to a whole mess of crispy shallots. Outdoor or indoor seating is blessed by lots of sunlight perfect for showing off your love of James Joyce.
My husband and I come here once a week and have never been disappointed. From the atmosphere to the staff, Druthers continues to be our favorite coffee shop!
Delicious latte drinks, beautifully crafted, not overly sweet. Tasty food made to order. Clean, welcoming, friendly. Should I say it? It makes me sad when the cashier texts in between prompts to me. She got everything correct, I didn’t have to repeat anything, but it made me feel like my presence disrupted her texting even though I was ordering. She was nice and friendly and got everything correct so maybe it’s just my age showing. Won’t keep me away and won’t keep me from giving all the stars. Definitely recommend!
This place is like a second home to me <3 The staff are so kind and even make the effort to address me by name every time I am in. The vibes are fantastic, and the coffee is (with no exaggeration) the best coffee I have ever had. I used to work for Starbucks, and I know a ton about what it means to make good coffee. This place has that “it factor.” Their pastries are always fresh, and there is plenty of room to sit and relax. I go to college across the street, so you will definitely catch me here a lot during the semester. The only small thing that I would complain about would be the pricing; however, you get what you pay for, and you are certainly paying for the best of the best. Keep up the amazing work, Druthers! I love you and your team! :)
This is such an uplifting coffee shop! Super convenient location right next to the train station. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows let in so much light—it just makes you feel good. I love the long wooden tables, they make you want to sit and relax for a while. But the real highlight is the coffee and food. Breakfast here sets a great tone for the day, lunch gives you a nice energy boost, and grabbing one last cup before heading home wraps things up perfectly.
This is my go to coffee spot for the last several years and finally writing a review! If you’re looking for a neighborhood coffee shop that’s welcoming, friendly, and feels like a second home, this is the spot. The coffee is top-notch, the food is amazing, and the vibes are cozy—whether you’re catching up with a friend or just want a place to sit and breathe, you’ll never feel rushed or out of place. Also, if you want to take out, they have mobile order on their website I’ve used a few times if you are on the go! On a personal note, the last meal I had before giving birth to my son this past January was from here. My water broke, we were on the way to the hospital, and when my husband asked me what I wanted to eat—I said Druthers lol. So that says a lot!
Bright and airy spot in Stony Brook! Lots of seating inside and out - including a large communal table inside. No outlets, so laptops beware. The food was delicious, as was the coffee. They only have Oat and Pistachio milk as Dairy alternatives. Get the Druthers Breakfast Sandwich - it was awesome. I want to try some of the teas next time I come!
Really quick with my drink and food. Wish they had more seating inside but honestly it wasn’t that big of a deal. The breakfast burrito was so good, had just the right amount of kick to wake you up and it’s super filling. The chocolate chip cookie was really good, filled with lots of chocolate and had that perfect edge crisp I love in chocolate chip cookies. Only real jab would be price but I did order quite a bit.
Had it for lunch the other day and was very impressed! My caprese sandwich was everything I needed it to be and more…simply delicious…the bread was so soft and the flavors paired so well together. My girlfriend had the brie and jam with arugula sandwich which she enjoyed. We shared a white chocolate matcha scone which was also delicious (more like a cookie/ biscuit texture not a dense scone one)…I tried the Spronic which is a double shot of espresso over tonic water with an orange peel…wow I did not expect to love it as much as I did, what a perfect summer beverage! We got takeout, pretty much all the tables were taken on a Sunday early afternoon by people on their laptops…
This place is a breathe of non-franchised air! Huge windows on three sides create a bright, spacious and cozy space ideal for reading or chatting with friends; and they also have bistro style outdoor seating that are handy during these pandemic times. We haven't tried much from their beverage menu but their cold brew is among my husband's favorite and I'm a fan of their herbal tea flavor combos. We're also fans of their 6-or-so-deep pint-sized baked goods selection that are made fresh daily and on-site -- and you can taste that delicious difference -- with the blueberry lemon sconce and olive oil muffin being our faves. Overall, a great place but heads up: they're a smidge pricier than other coffee spots.
I went to Druthers for the first time today and it was on the expensive side but I was expecting that. I ordered an everything bagel with egg, cheese, and avocado. It was good but maybe should’ve asked for the bagel toasted. BUT the chocolate chip cookie was sooooooo good!!! It was everything you want in a chocolate chip cookie. And the sprinkle of salt on top made it a sweet/salty combo that was amazing. It was a soft, chocolatey gooey consistency when you bite into it. So good. I know it’s a coffee shop but the cookie was my favorite thing out of everything I ordered. Definitely recommend it!
Delicious sandwiches. Nice atmosphere. I’d recommend getting your beverages extra hot and half sweetness - the food is great though. Thankful we had real cups for dining in.
Beautiful coffee shop with excellent pastries and food. I’ve only stopped by twice, but both times the burnt caramel iced latte was good, but a bit light on syrup. The scone I had both times was excellent. Polite service and a comfortable place to spend time, recommended!
Good coffee and teas. Breakfast is limited choices but good. Too many tables taken up by 1 person on a laptop with just coffee so it's almost impossible to get a seat so be prepared
All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, which I really appreciated. That said, I think the overall setup could use a little fine-tuning. Drinks are handed over without lids, completely filled to the top, and sometimes very hot — and the pickup spot is a bit of a walk from where the lids actually are. There’s also very limited space to wait, which gets tricky when it’s busy, especially since the turnaround from ordering to receiving your drink can be a little slow. The drinks themselves were genuinely delicious; I just wish the process felt a bit more streamlined. Overall, great people and great quality — just a few tweaks would make the experience even better.
I've been wanting to come here for a while so I was really excited. I ordered a matcha latte, a pastry, a cold brew and a Brie & jam sandwich. The pastry and sandwich were really great! We also enjoyed the cold brew. But if you are a regular matcha drinker, do not get the matcha! Maybe it's my mistake to have faith in cafe's to make a good matcha, but every cafe should know how to correctly make it/ use enough matcha powder. If you're a beginner to matcha, then you may like it, but it didn't taste like matcha at all it just tasted like sweet milk unfortunately. I will definitely go back, I just now know I cannot order a matcha.
The iced burnt caramel latte is the only flavor of its kind on Long Island (that I know of). I had the frittata today. It was tasty, but I would not order it again. It took 10 minutes to come out. That is too long for a hangry woman!! The service is always good, and the place is so clean that it is pitiful.
First off coffee was good. Idk what was going on behind the counter. Owner needs to watch the tapes or get out of the couch and see the disconnected with employees to customers. Coming from someone that came from the buisness
I’ve been going to Druthers for a while, but unfortunately, my experience keeps getting worse with each visit. Most recently, I ordered coffee, and it was bitter and unpleasant. I also tried the French toast, which tasted sour, and not in a way that seemed intentional—it was honestly hard to finish. As for “The Druthers Egg Sandwich,” it felt overpriced for what it was—just a bagel with a small strip of egg and barely anything else. There’s nothing of substance to justify the price. I really hope Druthers can improve because I used to enjoy coming here, but the quality has declined significantly.
Expensive. I got a grilled cheese. It was 13.00 and there was way too much going on, it has artichoke dipabd too greasey. I couldn't read most of the menu cause I didn't have my glasses, had I, I wouldn't of gotten anything. And i waited like 15mins.
This is a great study spot and has great food and drinks!! The only caveat is if your devices aren’t charged, you can’t spent too much time studying here. There is one plug and only one seat has access to it making it very difficult to be productive with a low power warning. But other than that it’s great!
It’s a nice place to chat/have a coffee with a friend. Their cold brew and drip coffees are good. Their baked goods are great and I love the blackout cookie. However I would avoid any espresso drinks that have a high concentration of espresso (cortado, americano etc) since their espresso is very sour/bitter. The sandwiches are tasty but overpriced for their tiny servings.
I’ve been here on and off since they opened. Druther’s has a really nice interior, great for studying. The bakery items and food are pretty good too. The two issues I have are that everything on the menu feels pretty overpriced compared to a lot of other coffee shops I go to, and every time I get an iced latte it’s never that good. I usually prefer cold drinks, but their hot drinks are wayyy better than their iced drinks. Every iced latte I’ve gotten from here always tastes milky and lacks a strong flavor from the coffee or the flavored syrup, and they overfill the cups with the biggest ice cubes. Also DO NOT get the matcha from here. The last time I went I got their iced Matcha latte (pictured). For like $8 it was not good at all and was so weak, it tasted like cereal milk. If you go definitely get a hot drink over an iced one and it you’ll probably be happy!
The food is great, but the space feels a bit pretentious. I'm a college student, and I like a good cream cheese bagel. I don't need a pack of Long Island bourgeois staring daggers at me while I enjoy said bagel (presumably for eating it without a fork and knife). If you can get past the yuppies, the staff is kind, and the large windows let plenty of light into the dining area. Parking is a bit tricky since it's attatched to the strip mall adjacent, but just roll up the main entrance ramp and you'll be fine.
It’s been really disappointing to get coffee at Druthers recently. I have been a customer for a long time and I’ve always loved their coffee. The milk is at good temperature, nice frothing, good beans; I had no issues. A couple months back they hired a new barista and she wasn’t great at making espresso based drinks, such as cappuccinos. I thought they’d train her and she’d get better soon (this happened with some other new hires before) but no, she never improved in any way. Now every time I go there, first thing I check is whether it’s her shift and I avoid getting coffee if it is. And I’m not exaggerating, her cappuccino is this very hot milky drink with a thick layer of foam with huge bubbles and reminds me of cappuccinos I’d get from coffee machines. See the photo yourself. I honestly avoid going to Druthers now just because of this. If any of the other baristas read this, please train her!
Egg sandwich was $11 for a day old bagel and one egg. Save the money and dont get the breakfast bagel. Not worth the money. It was also so hot you cant even eat the whole thing. Coffee was good a little disappointed that they only offered cold brew iced coffee but the service was great and the girl that helped me was super sweet and accommodating.
Atmosphere is relaxed. Food portions are small but edible. Coffee is amazing. Service is non existent. Some cashiers won’t even smile and act like they are doing you a favor for ordering. I like going here bc of the ambiance but last few times the place is just flat out miserable because of the staff .
The spot seems great for a student crowd, but come fully charged, as there is only 1 outlet in the whole place. Food was ok, I was given a bagel that I didn't ask for and when I mentioned it was the wrong order, Iw as told they were "all out", it would have been nice to have had that info ahead of time for me to change the order. My experience was burnt coffee, and a freezing cold environment whereby even when guests asked for the AC to be lowered it was met with a eyeroll and a hard no from the manager. Coming from someone who loves a good coffeehouse, likely a one and done spot for me. To each their own.
As a regular patron of Druthers Coffee, visiting nearly every weekend, I was excited to order my usual iced matcha latte with oat milk. I even tipped 25% in anticipation of the excellent service I’ve come to expect. However, this visit was disappointing. After waiting patiently for 30 minutes, I discovered that my order had been misplaced. When my drink finally arrived, it was the smallest size, which felt inadequate given the extended wait. Considering my loyalty and the circumstances, I would have appreciated a larger size or at least more attentive service. This experience has left me reconsidering my weekend routine at Druthers Coffee..
I spent $30 on two espressos, one sandwich, and one chocolate chip cookie. While the egg salad sandwich was tasty, it was quite small. The chocolate chip cookie was fresh and sweet. However, the espresso cups were about the size of a child's cup and were mostly filled with whipped cream, leaving very little actual espresso. We came to see what all the hype was about, but we weren't impressed.
I used to be a regular at Druthers, but the service is enough to make me not want to go anymore. I put in a mobile order and after waiting, it wasn’t until I asked about my order that they started my drinks. Defeats the purpose of the mobile order. The man helping us was also dismissive and rude. Really disappointing given how friendly the people used to be. Thank you to the blonde lady who got things moving. Hopefully things can turn around because the service is god awful I can’t bear to go anymore.
Writing this from a place of love. Have been a frequent customer since opening day & love the space. But I’m gonna need you guys to re-energize in 2025. After one or two bad experiences my visits became less frequent. Now each visit keeps getting worse and it breaks my heart! The death of the after dark hours was the first straw, but the seasonal menu repeating and the in store experience being only above average lately, I really do hope things turn around. In my last visit this December, I ordered ahead for a breakfast burrito & peppermint mocha. Both items were prompt & fresh. Everything was enjoyable to have for breakfast, but severely lacked any flavor, espresso included. The kick is what makes this place unique would love to see more of it. Looking forward to getting excited about Druthers again soon, but definitely hope it doesn’t follow suit with plenty of other LI coffee spots.
Good coffee but this place is so severely understaffed. It doesn't matter how busy or not busy this place is, it's always SUPER slow. There is only one espresso machine and there is a lot of seating so there's always a decent amount of people even if it's not busy and they clearly just don't have enough equipment to keep up. Also there's not enough staff. One person is doing everything. They're busting their butt trying to keep up with the orders so it's not like they're slow or lazy. It's visit a staffing issue
Please do not waste your money here. I ordered a matcha and asked for less ice and they filled the whole cup with ice. Not only that, they put it in a paper cup meanwhile everyone else had regular plastic cups. They did not give me a plate for my food and gave plates to other people. I paid $11 for a tiny bagel sandwich. Better off going to Starbucks.
Stood for 7 minutes before I got to a place my order. 10 minutes until it was ready. I ordered to go but I was given a porcelain mug. I didn't feel like requesting for a disposable cup because I didn't want to ruin the design. No seats on a Sunday October morning at 10:30. Sat outside which I didn't mind. The coffee is fresh?? but nothing distinctly special. I was tempted to take the cup home. Nothing beats homemade. Edit: I always appreciate it when the business owner responds to reviews. At least they inform you they are aware of the situation on their "busy days".
Came in for a nice coffee date . Was not not impressed. Asked for a medium ice coffee with almond milk ,which they didn’t have . As for a coffee shop they should have lots of options of alternatives . I got my ice coffee in a paper cup not a medium size that I asked for .while others who order ice had clear cups or glass. Place was over price for an a coffee .
The worst place ever. I walked in to grab an iced matcha latte with caramel and light ice. As you can the ice was to its brim. In front of my she poured the ice and filled it to the brim, then poured unreasonable about of caramel, the 3/4 milk and 2 drops of matcha from a squeeze bottle. And didn’t even mix it? Like if i have to take out the ice and mix the latte until the caramel gets dissolved, why don’t I go behind the counters and make it myself. I took 2 sips and threw it out, waste $10 on the most disgusting matcha ever. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time. I thought it must be the employee but I guess they don’t know how to make matcha or follow simple instructions.
Absolutely livid at the size of my latte for $5+ tax & tip totaling $7 for three sips. It is completely unacceptable to sell portions this small, 12oz is standard and I had no reason to believe I was getting a baby sippy cup until it was too late. Photos for size reference. Do yourselves a favor and just go to the Dunkin next door. At least you’ll get what you pay for. Super disappointed they are taking advantage of students with these prices and sizes. **REGARDLESS of the name of the beverage, latte or another warm drink, I shared correctly how much the cost was and how you expect to receive a 12oz cup at any coffee shop for that price. It was not advertised anywhere that their ~special~ "not considered latte" drinks come in 8oz for $5 and you are meant to spend $7+ to receive a normal size... This is purely a buyer beware so that others do not walk away with a similar disappointment. Clearly from the lack of apology or offer to make this right, I can't say I will be coming back to spend more money to receive what I should have received the first time.
***NOT DOG FRIENDLY*** Nice looking place. Was turned away at the door with my puppy. Since I’m not allowed to respond to the response below: No signage is posted that I could find. I was not told that upon entering, I was told that the dog has to be outside and then pointed. Also, please review the law. Companion dogs are not allowed in dining areas or food preparation areas. Your take out counter is not a dining area. If you do not want to allow dogs in the establishment that is your choice but do not hide behind a misinterpretation of NYS law.
I went to this coffee shop with my boyfriend yesterday and ordered the usual Ceremony matcha latte with pistachio milk My boyfriend wanted to order a caramel macchiato , and the girl explained to me that it was two shot of espresso and Milk. Well I've been there many times and bought myself a Ceremony matcha latte and it came in a normal cup in a normal size and when I came and said I didn't like it they started accusing me that they always make it that way and that it was the normal size and it was a terrible matcha latte of my life I just don't understand why to argue with customers if the customer knows better than you in terms of what they want
Save your money. Coffee lacks flavor, food over priced, also staff was not friendly. Zero stars isn’t an option so 1.
I really enjoy the food here, but was disappointed today with the iced matcha lattes I ordered, especially given the price (I paid about $18 for two). (Each also has some strawberry jam as as sub for regular sweetener.) I could hardly taste matcha. Given the money people pay, please please PLEASE make sure you put enough matcha in!! I was really looking forward to enjoying as a Friday treat :(
HORRIBLE! Long wait, too expensive, not enough seating, both food and staff is tastelessly trendy and worst of all, the flat white I ordered was almost cold and topped by a glob of fake, very cold, whipped cream!!! Why? Final indignity: the mug didn't fit in the saucer it was presented on. Never again!!! (15 minutes after the poor excuse for coffee was served, the large glob of whipped "cream" still hasn't melted- I wonder what its half life is).
