The Loft

We had our daughter’s 21st birthday party here. Throughout Mark was fantastic. He simply couldn’t do enough for us. The venue is beautiful, the staff are excellent and the food was lovely. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We had a fantastic evening here.

We just popped in for a drink there last night as a place we both hadn’t been to. It was a lovely find an old converted cinema. I believe that has a very art gecko style about it. The staff were very friendly. The drinks were reasonably priced and we had a lovely evening.

Went to the loft in August for a wedding reception and felt that the place was beautiful. Well decorated, clean and welcoming. The layout really adds character and I can see why it's a popular place for a reception or any gathering. Bar staff were friendly and worked very hard the night I was there, and they didn't let the busyness affect their mood. Drinks were fairly priced and well made. Toilets were clean, but lacked lady products (which I feel Is a nice add to any toilet facilities these days) Thank you for providing a lovely establishment.

Had the most amazing time here last night. I am not someone to usually leave reviews, so this shows how good this place actually is! I arrived; and the owner took me and my partner in. He was very friendly and chatty, made me feel comfortable immediately. The decoration of the place is beautiful. Onto the food! WOW!! Great quality food, for decent prices. You are definitely getting your moneys worth. We went on wednesday to take advantage of their steak night; £40 for 2 steaks, and a bottle of wine. Portion size was huge, and the food was delicious. We are definitely coming back again.

Great all round experience we were a table of 7...x3 teenagers, 2 smaller children, 2 adults. Plenty of choice on the menu for all of us, friendly and quick service. Food was lovely! Thank you for a great evening.

Was here for a birthday party last week and it was amazing. They had drag as the entertainment and it was really good. Great staff and atmosphere, really busy, lovely interior and a great outside area. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent food and customer service. Was worried the price might be a bit much but for the quality and quantity of the food it was well worth is. We will be back. One thing could make the meal better is if the coleslaw was served in a separate small container. If you’re not careful it will make your bun soggy.

I was attending a wake, a private party. Staff were friendly and helpful even if they were ready to expect that a loan female at the bar must be with a man standing nearby. The food was excellent; well presented, fresh looking, and carefully arranged as plates were depleted. Even the music was specifically chosen to fit with the deceased's preferences. A lovely atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating.

Thanks for looking after everyone on Friday for my daughter’s 18th. She loved it and you and your staff were brilliant. Thank you!

We held our Cognique 20th anniversary party at The Loft on Friday afternoon, Mark was such a fabulous host and all our guests commented on the venue, food and brilliant drink selection. Nothing was too much trouble, we'll definitely be back!

My wife found this place whilst 'Googling' where to take our sons for a birthday meal. Fabulous retro building being an old cinema and playhouse, the owner was a really enthusiastic lovely chap. Food and Beer was very good, lots of choice. Will def be going back!

We used The Loft for home catering for a 70th birthday party and we couldn’t be more pleased. The food and service was exemplary. We would definitely recommend and would not use anyone else. Thank you Mark Tobin for your attention to detail snd making everything so flawless

Good food, very friendly and hospitable staff and good atmosphere, although was quite quiet when I was there.

The perfect place for our post-wedding party. Mark and his team are both professional and accommodating, the venue is gorgeous with a wonderful atmosphere, and everyone had a fantastic time. We would absolutely recommend the Loft to anyone looking for a fabulous evening.

Mark and his team were absolutely brilliant for our first ever Total Plumbing Supplies Street Customer event, he even extended the burger night deal for us as I'd raved about it to the customers so much. The food was incredible, service stupendous and atmosphere was excellent. We will be back for more nights out with friends, family and customers alike. Eat here and you won't be disappointed!!!

Great food (Xmas work do, so turkey dinner) and atmosphere. Just after 9.30 the lights went down and the music was turned up and the dancing started. Fab night out.

Great pub food friendly service

A really lovely place to enjoy a quality meal. Relaxing atmosphere with attentive staff. Only criticism is the menu for vegetarians is limited.

Yesterday we celebrated our wedding day at The Loft from our first meeting with Mark right the way though to this morning the communication was fantastic and Mark met all our needs.Every staff member couldn't do enough for us The food was absolutely amazing.This is by far the most beautiful venue to celebrate any event.i can not recommend The Loft highly enough JUST PERFECT ♥️

Their food is incredible, and the atmosphere is great, in this building full of character. The owner is always around with a smile, and welcoming attitude, and the staff are great 👍 This place is versatile, and worth a visit! Get the lamb - and love that gravy!

Had our granddaughters birthday party at the Loft. The venue is beautifully decorated with plenty of space for around 160 people. Mark went above and beyond to make it a magical experience for us.recommend it as a first choice in street. Well done Mark

Just had our Staff Christmas party. Thank you Mark and all your team for making our night so special. An excellent job all round. Everyone was friendly and the food was perfect. Went there for a meal out, I was surprisingly impressed by the atmosphere, great food and lovely service. Will definitely return. It became my favourite place to go. I do recommend the fish with the potato cake!

Nothing was too much hassle, the food = wow, everyone commented on how beautiful the buffet was, Mark has done amazing well with revamping this venue and everyone commented on how beautiful it was! Booked here for a surprise Birthday meal for our friend. Staff very helpful and friendly, they helped us to decorate and were able to play a video on the screen (sent from our friend who couldn't make it), they went above and beyond to help and one even videoed the surprise moment for us. P.s the food was amazing, no complaints. Would highly recommend.

I had my birthday meal there last night and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights we've had in a long time, we had a party of 22 people and Mark and his team were brilliant, the food was great and plenty of it, the service was fantastic and the cocktails were amazing. I would highly recommend a night at the loft for any occasion .

We had a surprise 60th in the loft for my husband, what an amazing night it was . The buffet we had was fantastic, all our guests commented on the quality of it . The place itself is amazing, there’s definitely nothing like it for miles . Mark and staff couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating, it was a total success. Visited last night with friends. We had the burgers and chips, best burger I have had for a long time. Easily the best in Street. Great beer selection and very attentive staff Definitely returning.

Amazing place. amazing food. Great ambience. Starter was size of a main. Main was huge. Couldn't eat dessert . Out of room in belly. Great surprise for my wife. She loved it all. Top chefs. Very fairly priced. For top notch food.

We had a lovely meal. Service from the staff was so good. Only criticism is that we were cold. With the front door open, we could feel the cold coming in, so had to pop our coats on.

We have had the burgers here in the past and they were good. Visited again and decided to try the steak. I was disappointed as I ordered mine to be cooked MR and it came out in my opinion, cooked MW. I requested it was corrected as it cost £25 and wasn’t cooked as I asked. I did have another steak cooked which was properly done the second time and everything else was freshly served. The downside is that my partner ate his while it was hot and by the time mine came back out, he had finished so we both ate alone which is not the point of a meal out together. I was surprised we didn’t get offered a dessert or a drink to compensate for this. That said, staff are friendly and the owner is always hospitable. I think we were just unlucky on this occasion. The atmosphere in The Loft is lovely, nice music playing but not overly loud. The restaurant is.nicely decorated and the toilets are clean, however on this occasion for some reason there was no soap in any of the toilets. We will return but maybe not for steaks

Christmas night- good food and great value, nice party atmosphere

Loved the food, the environment and loved the friendly staff. Best steak in a long time. Can't wait for the cocktail bar to open, we'll be back!

Went here for my father's birthday, the atmosphere and service were rather good, and my meal was outstanding however I do have a few negative points. For their high prices you expect the best. However, with frozen sausages which to quote "hadn't been defrosted" that didn't seem like the quality we paid for. The drink times took a little while however working in the food service myself I understand this isn't always the bar staff's fault. However, with only 5 tables it seemed a little too long. Food was good but once again one meal came out a little later which is always a upsetting when you are having a family meal. Apart from that I couldn't knock the friendliness of the staff. But if you are charging premium price, I expected more. However, with a bit of touch up here and there, could see this being a real 5 star experience for all! Good night overall
