They put a lot of care and work into what they do, presenting a clean, orderly space, and their food is consistently good; their formula makes sure that even a sandwich is an elevated experience over the next place. Octavio and the staff at the Spot really go the extra mile. Always friendly, the quality is consistently excellent, and they’re great neighbors. Yesterday I ordered a bunch of sandwiches and salads for a lunch meeting, and not only was everything delicious, they included some thoughtful touches: extra silverware and cups for sharing, a little treat. When I order from the Spot I can tell they really care—and I feel cared for.

My only problem with this place is that they state they open at seven and don’t actually open exactly at seven which is a problem when you need to be at school early

Longest wait time on simple dishes

Coffee is average service is good though.

I really wanted to like this place, but everything I tried tasted meh, except the iced latte, which I enjoyed. The sausage and egg sandwich lacked flavor and the chocolate croissant barely tasted like chocolate. It used some kind of cholatey paste, rather than any real chocolate, which I was disappointed by.

Edit: Used to be better before they started messing with the menu and hours. A pickup order now takes 30-40 minutes even though they tell you 15 minutes over the phone. Food is still top notch but the service has dramatically declined in quality and I rarely order from here anymore. Great food and amazing value, it doesn’t get better than this! I come here 3-4 days a week for lunch while working from home.

Place isn't really cafe ambiance - no seating, lots of packaged treats like a Bodega. I got the nachos - jalapeños were replaced with avocado bits and Pico de Gallo with double sour cream - very boring. If you don't have all the ingredients, just be straightforward and offer me an alternative. On the phone, was told 15-20 minutes. Walked in 20 minutes later, still had to wait more than 10 minutes. Really wanted to like this place because of the recs on social media but, will not be returning.

Horrible! SUPER overpriced. $8 DOLLARS FOR A SMALL SMOOTHIE?! Didn't taste good, in fact didn't want to finish it. And the most surprising thing was that there was tons of plastic in my smoothie. Would not recommend.

No apology—just defensiveness and escalation over a simple oversight. Surprising approach for a neighborhood café. Poor customer service. He’s got to check his ego.

The raised the price of an egg cheese to 7 dollars, mind you that’s the cash price. I found out when I was paying not when I called in the order . It’s an egg and cheese bro, 7 dollars???? It’s not that special. Their food is good but I’d rather get my egg and cheese from food universe down the road, it’s not that big of a difference in quality. Before you order ask about the price change. This is a neighborhood spot but now they want to charge gentrified prices. I understand businesses need to adjust prices to survive but they also need customers. They just lost a consistent one.
