Their chicken biryani was out of this world. I had it with garlic naan and I couldn’t be happier. The portions are big so I could save for later. I ordered delivery and my food arrived fresh and hot! Amazing food. I’m also happy that they put everything I needed in the to go bag. Will eat there again.
I don’t get the low reviews – my experience at Nala’s was awesome! It is hands-down my new go-to for Indian food in Austin. Walked in and instantly felt at home with the warm vibe and awesome smells coming from the kitchen and background Indian Music take you home. The staff was super nice and helped us pick some killer dishes. The Dindigul Mutton Biryani was packed with flavor, and the meat was so tender. The Malai Kofta was creamy and just the right amount of spicy – honestly, it’s hard to stop thinking about it. My buddy got the Mysore Masala Dosa, and that crispy, spicy combo was spot-on. Even the vegan options, like the Coconut Mushroom Curry, looked amazing. Food came out fast, tasted fresh, and the portions were perfect. Love that they use quality ingredients – you can tell they care. GREAT JOB GUYS for keeping this place so real! If you’re craving legit Indian food in Austin, Nala’s is a must. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
Had a Good South Indian Food. Delicious Dosa,Coffee , Spiced Butter Milk. Thanks to the Owner & to the chef..
“Had an amazing experience here! The food was full of flavor, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. Definitely coming back again!”
I’m seeing a few one star reviews and can only say, they sound like competitors. If you don’t want authentic Indian cuisine, then don’t come here. My husband and I are constantly checking out new restaurants but are consistently coming back to this one. The food is delicious, you can easily tell it’s made from scratch, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend trying their Mysore Masala Dosa, Saag Paneer, Butter Masala and definitely can’t pass up the Samosas.
Nala’s is consistently off the charts delicious. The staff is so warm and kind, and the prices are insanely reasonable. The menu is DIVINE. 10/10 would recommend, especially if a vegetarian is in your crowd. Tons of options for everyone, not just a couple choices. Thanks for lunch today, and always!
Great service from Murali. Fantastic food. Especially the Pepper Chicken Masala.
Murli our server was delightful! Best gobi Manchurian ever. Love this place!
I haven't actually eaten here, but I'm an uber driver who has picked up food here many times and they are always very prompt and friendly and give me a drink if I show up and the food isn't ready. Great service!
(08/05/2023)Ordered Dindigul Thalappakatti Muttton Biryani, which was nothing sort of extraordinaAppétit. Flavourful biryani, perfectly coocked pieces and rice. There's some fat to every piece, which made the pieces so flavourful. Portion size was generous, perfect for one normal person. It was a memorable gastronomic adventure that I would gladly embark on again. Now, I am craving for more. Bon appétit. (08/06/2023) Enjoyed their biryani previous day so I was tempted to order another biryani from the same place. Tried their Pepper roast mutton biryani. Same amazing experience. I would say this is the best in the town.
Very Good ambience, I would definitely go here more often with family and friends I loved the food aswell and the combination of the spices and taste were excellent. I definitely give it a high rating.
Great food! Been here a few times. Love the familiar dishes as well as some less common menu items (mutton, goat curry, etc)
Absolutely loved it! The food was fresh and flavorful the staff were friendly, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxed evening out. Will definitely be coming back
This place is awesome they serve authentic Indian food the service is great and they will accommodate you. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. The atmosphere is great play classic Indian movies will you eat great Indian food
This place is a hidden gem. I am a malayali and I ordered a parotta and chicken item and it’s definitely spot on. The spice level and the flavors are authentic and correct. Definitely recommend it!!
Amazing food and such a welcoming atmosphere! The owners are wonderful people who treat both their guests and staff with real care. Highly recommend the fish curry.
I had a great experience at Nala's Restaurant! The food was really tasty, and the place had a nice, cozy vibe. What stood out the most was the server, she was so sweet and friendly. She made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s always nice to be served by someone who’s genuinely kind and caring. Definitely a place I’d visit again!
We thoroughly enjoyed the all-you-can-eat thali lunch plates! The food was flavorful and well-portioned and we hope to come back again very soon to try items off their regular menu. The atmosphere is lovely with fun music, the tables were clean and nicely decorated, and the service was friendly, plus the manager taught us all about the dishes we were enjoying.
We had a delicious meal at Nala's today. They had a Dosa special and it was so good. They had 4 different kind of chutneys and all were so good. Only feedback I would have for them is to improve on service. While they were trying their level best to be attentive, I think they need more people but otherwise was great.
Very tasty food, everything was fresh, feeling of homemade. No frozen things. Ordered idli, Vada, masala dosa iddiappam with coconut milk. There was complimentary TEA. Ambience is truly amazing, plenty of sitting spaces. Both outdoor and indoor. Restaurant decoration was also very good. It was not busy in the Sunday morning. I would say one of the best Indian food in Austin. Worth for money. L
I went here yesterday night after being hangry😡due to a good workout & not eating too much, but if you’re looking for a good genuine and closely authentic south Indian food then Nalas is for you. Also, shout out to the amazing waiter Moin for having stellar customer service. So let’s get into the food, I had a scrumptious and amazing Vegetarian dish called Mysore Masala Dosa as you can see in the pic below which is Rice Crêpe with flavorful Mysore Chutney with potato 🥔 masala. 🤤 I also had Mutton soup if you like some goat 🐐😩 Send Moin my regard & enjoy some South Indian food.
The food is delicious and the staff is very nice! I have only gotten delivery and just recently pick up. After seeing the restaurants nice atmosphere, I will be coming back to dine in person next.
Dosa is the best. I would definitely recommend to try and visit South Indian Foods. Authentic with taste. Neat and Tidy all area. Excellent Atmosphere and Service
We had the best experience at Nala’s! We were having trouble with a gift card and the staff was so accommodating and kind. We ended up enjoying the buffet and everything was so delicious! Every dish we had was vibrant and full of flavor. You can tell this is a family business that truly cares about their guests experience. Definitely go to Nala’s and enjoy some absolutely delicious authentic Indian cuisine!
Loved the food here! The Mysore Masala Dosa was super tasty and crispy. Great flavors, friendly staff, and nice vibe. Definitely coming back!
Excellent food & service. Ordered kulambu Parotta & ambur chicken biriyani. Both were top notch, loved the veg gravy & chicken gravy for these dishes. The young man who served us was very pleasant and receptive. The owner was also very friendly and had a chat about Austin in general.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent service! Super happy talking with both staff members — they were so friendly and kind. It’s probably the first time I’ve talked so openly with someone about my life. The food was okay, but the service was absolutely amazing. I’m really happy with my experience!
Great value for the price, extremely friendly and informative staff. The buffet has a wide range of varieties that go from vegetarian options to chicken / fish based dishes. Everything was very flavorful and authentic. They currently dont have a liquor license but they are working on that so we can drink beer there soon! Would recommend if you work nearby to drop by and have the buffet lunch with your coworkers.
Nala’s restaurant is always a very nourishing and hospitable experience for me and the company I have brought to enjoy this space. I always highly recommend this business.. very great food. Vegan food too! And great staff.
I highly recommend Nala's! Our experience was amazing! We chose Nala's to celebrate my daughters birthday and I'm glad we did. The food was delicious and fast. The restaurant was very clean with a nice atmosphere. Great for a date night. The staff was attentive. Aja, the hostess especially. She went above and beyond. Absolutely no regrets. 10/10 will definitely do it again. Did I mention they're BYOB.
Nala's is AMAZING!!! I grew up in South India (Andhra/Hyderabad) and I think the dishes here come super duper close to the food in India!!! My friend and I tried the gobi manchurian, idli and vada sambar, and samosas for appetizers. We then got chicken and mutton biryani to go, and had gulab jamun for dessert! The cauliflower was an absolute wonder! The biryanis are not pictured here but they were spot on in terms of flavors (the meat was nice and tender and came right off the bone), and eating the gulab jamun and syrup felt like eating in heaven! It was such a wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back!
We ordered catering for 75 people and the food was outstanding, we had rave reviews at our Diwali party. Everyone asked where the food was from and went back for 2nd and 3rd helpings! Thank you so much!
I recently had an unforgettable experience at Nala’s restaurant, a memory I’ll always cherish! While I thoroughly enjoyed their buffet, with its impressive variety of dishes, I must highlight their regular menu, which truly stole the show. The dosa was a masterpiece perfectly crispy and golden, served with an array of flavorful chutneys. The biriyani was equally remarkable fragrant, perfectly spiced, and bursting with flavor. However, the highlight of the meal was the pomfret fish a delicately prepared dish that was both unique and utterly divine. A heartfelt shoutout goes to Aasha, the exceptional host who made the experience even more memorable. Her warm and attentive service added a personal touch that elevated our dining experience. From the moment we arrived, she ensured we were well taken care of, making us feel like VIPs throughout the evening. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines outstanding food with impeccable service, Nala’s is the place to be. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Hidden late night spot Felt hungry and had a craving for Indian around like 9pm one night. Noticed Nala’s was open late so decided to give it a try. It had a very lowkey and casual feel, you get seated and order off your phone. Honestly the speed of the whole process was great and my food came out hot and fresh despite being late at night. The curries had great flavor and the samosas were huge! The staff was also very nice
We had the very special Dindigul Thalappakatti Mutton Biryani, Medhu Vada, Masala Dosa, Chole Bhature and Chai. The owner said that the biryani was very special and wasn’t available in any other Indian restaurants in around Texas. The biryani was supposed to have short grain rice which is very unusual for biryani. We tried it and absolutely loved it. It sure was a very unique biryani indeed. The Raita itself was good and fresh. Similarly we loved the Medhu Vada and the Chole Bhature as well. The food at this restaurant is very fresh that’s the reason why it tastes so good. The Medhu Vada and Bhatura was so very fresh and tender, homemade style. I’d say that the Chai could taste better but since it was complimentary, I wouldn’t complain. Another point of improvement could be bhatura. Although I loved it but it was slightly oily(I understand it is deep fried). The server wasn’t the most energetic because when we asked to dine outside he hesitated but the owner was very welcoming. She asked us if we wanted to dine at the patio and accommodated that right away. She also gave us a complimentary dessert. I will definitely be back again.
We catered food for our Dashain Night event at Texas State University (350+ people) organized by the Nepalese Student Association (NSA). The order was large (around a $5,000 event order), but everything was handled smoothly—portions were sufficient, and the taste was exactly what we expected. The food was genuinely good and consistent across the whole batch. Would definitely recommend for large events.
Had an amazing first visit to Nalas! The samosa, dosa, and momos were incredibly delicious—fresh, high quality, and full of flavor. The staff were very kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommend Nalas and will definitely be back again! ❤️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nala’s absolutely delivered across the board—this was one of those meals where every single dish reminded you why Indian cuisine is so special. We started with the idly with chutney and sambar (4 pieces), which were light, fluffy, and perfectly steamed. The coconut chutney was fresh and balanced, and the sambar had real depth—comforting, aromatic, and not watery. The samosa was textbook excellent: crisp, golden pastry with a warmly spiced potato filling that wasn’t greasy or heavy. A simple dish done exactly right. The gobi manchurian was a standout appetizer—crispy cauliflower with a bold, tangy sauce that had just the right amount of heat and umami. It struck that rare balance between indulgent and addictive. The premium butter chicken was rich and velvety, with tender chicken and a sauce that was creamy without being cloying. You could taste the layered spices beneath the butter and tomato—clearly made with care, not shortcuts. The saag paneer was earthy and comforting, with soft paneer cubes nestled in a beautifully seasoned greens base. It felt wholesome yet deeply satisfying. The Hyderabadi mutton biryani was exceptional—fragrant rice, perfectly cooked mutton, and complex spice throughout. Every bite had character, and the aroma alone was enough to slow you down and savor it properly. The curd rice was cooling and soothing, the perfect counterpoint to the richer dishes—simple, clean, and executed just right. Finally, the naan was warm, soft, and slightly blistered, ideal for scooping up sauces and rounding out the meal. From appetizers to mains to sides, Nala’s showed consistency, authenticity, and real attention to detail. This is the kind of place you come back to—not just for one favorite dish, but for the entire menu. Highly recommended.
The flavors here are absolutely amazing from start to finish. Each dish tastes fresh and authentic. The staff are warm and welcoming every time. Highly recommend NALA’S for a perfect Indian meal!
A true hidden gem where flavor meets warmth. The food was divine; every dish burst with authentic spices and perfect balance. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, the naan soft and fresh from the oven. The atmosphere felt elegant yet homely filled with laughter, aromas, and genuine hospitality. The staff made us feel like family, not customers. NALA’S isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience of love, culture, and unforgettable taste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My first time here - but my the friend who recommended them was right. The food is yummy - eg fried dishes just right, not greasy at all. They were flexible with my request to add some muttar to their paneer tikka masala - sweet and spicy goodness! The servers were welcoming and pleasant to talk to as a bonus.
“I recently tried the Chow Mein at Nalas South Indian Restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious! 😋 The noodles were perfectly cooked with the right amount of crunch from the fresh veggies and a burst of flavors in every bite. The spices were well-balanced, and the portion size was generous too. Definitely a must-try for anyone who loves Indo-Chinese flavors with a South Indian twist. Highly recommend it!”
We stopped in randomly craving some Tikka Masala and found out they offered a lunch buffet!! There were many different yummy curry options and it was fun to try some things I wouldn’t typically order like the Bhindi Masala which was spiced perfectly and the okra added the perfect crunch and flavor. Highly recommend stopping in for this lunch buffet — comes with mango lassi too!!
⭐️Amazing Experience at Nalas! ⭐ I visited Nalas for the first time and had an incredible experience! I tried the samosa, dosa, and momos, and the taste was absolutely amazing—unlike anything I’ve had before. The food was high quality, fresh, and full of flavor. I also want to appreciate the staff and co-workers for their excellent service. They were so kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. I highly recommend Nalas to everyone! If you want to try something new and delicious, this is the place to be. I will definitely be coming back—again and again! Thank you to the entire team at Nalas for such a fantastic experience!❤️😊
Absolutely, hands down the BEST and most AUTHENTIC Indian food we have ever had. Extensive menu with a variety of southern Indian food. The Mysore Masala Dosa had a wonderful texture and the lentil soup, spices, and curry sides were flavorful. The Lamb Rogan Josh was an absolute delight. Sid was fantastic ABC great company. He helped describe the different dishes and ingredients and had great recommendations. Now for drinks! The Nannari Sarbath made with lemon juice and nannari root is light, refreshing and not overly sweet. The Mango Lassi was also very good. We got one to go as a small dessert treat and was much like a mango smoothie. Absolutely delicious. We were also brought some Gulab Jamun… a treat!!! Sid explained that these donuts are good as a little breakfast with coffee and I will be trying that soon! Thank you to Nala’s, the chef, and Sid. This place is a hidden gem, and absolutely heavenly. Clean restaurant and restrooms. OH. And they have a buffet on Saturdays and Sundays! We will have to come back soon to try. Five stars! I would give more if I could!
The food here is delicious with authentic Indian flavors. The staff are very friendly, polite, and provide great service. A cozy place with tasty dishes and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!
Overall a good place.Service is quick.Staff is very friendly. This was our first time the food tasted good. They do have Madhurai porotta which is close to Kerala porotta.Masala dosa and mango lassi was great. The biriyani was okay. The only issue I had was with the flies that kind of put us off I would recommend keeping that in mind in the future
A South Indian restaurant with a variety of dishes from all over India. They have a good variety of delicious Biryanis and my favorite is their Masala dosa. It's tasty, crispy and very delicious... The atmosphere is casual and at times you may have to holler for the host to cater to you , however all in all, I have enjoyed their food over the years
Update 9/2/23 Don't order on the phone. We placed our order, went by 30 minutes later & they didn't even work on it. They missed it entirely. Minus 1 star for not doing it right. Original review: Food tasted great. Except the white rice which wasn't cooked properly for some reason, everything else was great. Mutton curry was exceptional. They'd do better to make Tikka masala curries with more pieces then gravy. But main plus is the service. The waiters and host (guessing the owner also) were very attentive and took care of everything with beaming smiles. Made it a great experience.
We ordered through Uber Eat. The sanbar had way too much salt, like 3 to 4 times more salt than normal! This has to be an accident as no one can eat food with this salt but then they should not have sent a messed up dish. Very disappointing.
Masala dosa was cold and not crispy. It was too soft. Looks like it was made long before serving. Parota was good and tasty. The menu said Salna but they gave some Kurma. That was just OK. Vadai Sambar was good but too much spice in the sambar. I will not go again.
Portions are less Meat was not properly cooked I don't think fresh food was served I ordere Mutton curry , chicken 65 which I don't think it is and one Mysore dosa
Mar 2024 Update of weekend lunch buffet. Went to their buffet after reading many positive reviews, but it seems they re paid reviews. The food quality is sub par - and that includes everything from cold Naan to dahi bhalla to noodles. There are not much curry options and the ones available don't seem fresh. Even The chutneys are not freshly prepared and tamarind chutney was heavily diluted and felt like tamarind water. There is just one dessert option that too boxed gulab jamun. Even that could not be served hot. I wouldn't recommend their buffet. Their dine in is not that bad, not sure why they cannot match the same quality in buffet also.
I'm assuming the portions are better when you dine in. My to go order had 5 pieces of chicken, about 1/4 of a small onion and the rest was just sauce. The flavor was good, but I'm extremely disappointed by the amount of protein for the cost, especially considering I got chicken & not a more expensive meat like goat. Disappointing to have that much sauce with no other substance.
THE TIKI masala was worth coming back just by its self, so good. Better then others in its area. People must love this place there is massive amounts of food share companies stopping in and picking up deliveries. This would have been a 4 star but it seemed very disheveled inside. Lightbulbs no it replaced, lights turned off behind the bar, stuff all over the place. It just reminded me of a messing college apartment. If the front of the house looks like this what standards are in the kitchen? Very authentic food.
Ordered Masala Dosa and Uthappam. Both the dishes were great. Good taste. Sambar was great. Chutneys were horrible, cold, no taste, not fresh. Ambience is nice for sure, Hindi songs playing on screen. Floor is sticky when we walk, needs better cleaning, tables have rings from hot drinks or cold, need cleaning. Place is sort of hidden, difficult to find, is behind a Holiday Inn.
I ordered take out they didn’t pack proper food. My order is idli then pack vada and gobi Manchuria 2 orders they split 1 order into 2. Vegetable biryani they serve just made fried rice. Don’t go here worst food. Mango lassi 2 they gave 1 mango lassi and rose milk 1. I went and ask front guy he is when did you order which site I ordered 6:15PM I went 7:30 that time also they don’t prepared. No Indian chef are working in nalas.
The lady who served us today (Thursday) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She acted like we were bothering her just by ordering. Terrible attitude- won’t be coming back. Food was terrible, service was terrible. No one should try to this terrible restaurant.
Don’t know why this restaurant is getting good reviews. I went there and all of the food is just reheated from the freezer, including the dosa .There is no authentic Indian taste here, just don’t visit
Run from this place as fast as you can! Not only do they serve old smelly poor food poor in quality and quantity, beware that they operate under multiple names as part of their deceptive scheme. We ordered through Uber from kumars south Austin and it's actually this place that the food came from. Did I say the food was appalling? When you call their number they know it's someone calling to complain about the food so they will never pick up. Waste of money and a meal (we threw away most of the food due to some bad old odor in it in addition to the other shortcomings). I have a note to myself to verify the address of the restaurant from which I am ordering food next time.. I am sure they will change the name again once they have enough poor reviews and start cheating more people!!
They’ve consistently made mistakes with my orders multiple times. The quality has significantly declined since the new management took over.
Walked in the yesterday to pick up an Uber order and every single employee was asleep in the booths with legs propped in chairs annd refused to get up to help. All the delivery apps were going off. I was told to wait 20 minutes and the food would be ready. Came back and the same employees were still asleep while the bartender hid behind the bar texting and laughing. I called to the kitchen and no one answered. The owners were not there and I’m sure would be sorely disappointed to know their buisness that seems to thrive solely off deliveries (no one’s ever in the building eating) is being ruined by lazy employees that are basically getting paid to sleep on the clock and ignore their job.
Went in there at 8:30 pm on a weekday. The restaurant was empty. Still took 35 mins for the food to arrive. We ordered grilled chicken and naan. They brought the chicken first and we had to wait 10 more minutes for the naan to arrive. By the time chicken got cold. You shouldn't be serving food like this. The worst thing was the wash room. Roaches everywhere! Couldn't imagine how the kitchen would be. If there was an option to post picture I would have. Please stay away from this place for God sake!
This place runs at least 3 businesses out of this location, including Nala’s and Kumar’s, and maybe that’s why they always provide take out orders later than the projected wait times. I avoided this place for over a year because of how consistently they provided slow take out service with poor communication and when I finally tried them again, the exact same issues. The poor hostess, Angela apparently learned from management how to avoid giving customers any communication about wait time. Probably because of the excess amounts of businesses they have to handle in one building. I recommend you stay away from this place if you are delivering food.
I ordered a dosa for to-go and went there after 20 minutes as they said 20 mins over the phone. They made me wait for another 20 mins at the restaurant and so I didn't add any tips. The lady manager sees the tip amount and screams "yeyyyy.." at my back while I'm walking away out of the building.. Food quality isn't good either.
Friendly staff, but the experience was poor. The restaurant was hot and unbearably stuffy, probably because of the air conditioning not working. The food was not particularly flavourful. We did have some fish though and the quality of the fish was very good / felt fresh. The gravy though was not great at all.
The restaurant can do so much better. Put some efforts. I cant tell how bad it is. Bad service and even worse food. If you want to try Nepali food, this is the last place. Dont make a mistake. Just AVOID.
Hi everyone I ordered mutton sucks from NALA yesterday. I got exactly 5 pieces of big bones seems like feet and one piece of big skin. The box full of waste that is sautéd in masala and garnished with 2 pieces of red chili with excessive salt as you can’t even taste it! I have no idea how did this restaurant have 4.1 rating! The food provided to me was feet bones which is illegal to sell here. I will be reporting this to department of state health service because these trope of food is unsafe to consume.
⭐ 1 Star Review – Honestly, even 1 star feels like a waste to give! I came here expecting good food, but it was a nightmare. • The soup was unbearably salty. • The idly was like a stone – so hard it wouldn’t break if thrown on a wall. • The fish was rock-hard and impossible to chew. • The biryani was the worst I’ve ever had – tasteless and badly cooked. This was overall the worst Indian food experience ever. Total waste of money and time. I’m angry, disappointed, and will never step into this restaurant again. Absolutely not recommended to anyone!
Completely gone downhill in the last year. Went in for the breakfast. The chutneys were super sour and not fresh. The food was also not good. Last time I went an year or so ago the food was good. Now the place is terrible. Avoid.
The food prices have gone up and good quantity has gone way down. In recent order the protein piece were laughable size and quantity for a $20 dish. Will be passing on this place going forward.
Worst food everr. Ordered food from here as a take away. Not at all edible and had to throw away all the food. We ordered a bone in chicken curry and found a goat piece within the chicken curry and all the chicken was boneless. Also, we ordered chapati to eat with the gravy but the chapati was as hard as cardboard. Last but not the least, we ordered goat sukka as a side. It was not at all fresh and was so chewy and rubbery, basically undercooked. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Sorry for being harsh but it was a very bad experience for us.
Very disappointed! I really wanted to like this place, but the service is consistently unreliable. I arrived 45 minutes after placing and paying for my order (just 4 parottas, that's it!), only to find they hadn't even checked the system until I walked in. Unfortunately, I’m done giving this place second chances. It’s frustrating because South Austin needs more reliable spots, but I won’t be returning. :)
This was one of the worst food experiences I have had. We ordered idlis and kesari and every single item was terrible. The sambar and chutney were absolutely horrible and tasted completely wrong. Not just bad, but inedible. We could not take more than a bite or two. The kesari was also awful and had to be thrown away. We ended up throwing the entire order into the trash. Complete waste of money and food. There is no excuse for serving food of this quality. I would strongly advise others to stay away until this place seriously improves.
The overall condition and service of this restaurant are extremely disappointing. The air conditioning rarely functions properly. The restroom lacked basic necessities such as toilet paper; instead, napkins meant for hand use were provided. The hand soap appeared to be diluted with water, the hand dryer was not working, and there were no tissues available. The diaper-changing station was secured with cling wrap, which raises serious safety and hygiene concerns. Regarding hospitality, no chips or fryums were served when we were seated. However, these were promptly provided to other customers who arrived later, which felt unprofessional and inconsistent. The food quality was also below expectations. The chutneys served with the dosa were extremely cold, and one did not resemble coconut chutney in appearance. The onion dosa was poorly prepared, with onions unevenly placed, an irregular shape, and a very small portion. The batter did not seem fresh. The restaurant itself was untidy, with visibly dusty blinds. Given the condition of the dining area, it is concerning to consider the state of the kitchen. This has reportedly been the situation for the past two years. It is disappointing that these issues remain unresolved. I will not be returning.
This was an absolutely terrible food order. The food arrived burnt, dry, and badly overcooked, with several pieces completely charred and impossible to eat. It looked careless and poorly prepared, like quality control doesn’t exist at this place. The vegetables were soggy, flavorless, and clearly overdone. To make things worse, the biryani was nothing but flavored rice—no proper masala, no aroma, and none of the rich taste biryani is known for. It felt misleading to even call it biryani. For the price charged, this level of food is unacceptable. Overall, a waste of money and time. I won’t be ordering again and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
One of the horrible Nepali cuisines I have ever had in the US. The food didn’t have any authentic taste; they put too much oil in the chow mein. Neither the momo nor the jhol were better. The ambience was terrible, and the service was poor. If you wanna try Nepali cuisine, do not go to this place; rather, drive quite far to find Nepali restaurants or stay on an empty stomach if you have the only motive of trying Nepali cuisine and didn’t find one.
I would give this place a negative # of stars if I could. It's absolutely horrible!!! I ordered the goat curry with rice and garlic Naan. The rice was old and hard, cold and tasteless. The goat curry had only chunks of fat and bone, no actual edible goat meat at all. The garlic Naan was burnt and had no garlic or any other flavor or toppings on it, just plain burnt Naan. This place obviously does not care about it's customers at all and has absolutely disgusting quality food. There are some great Indian food alternatives out there. Save yourselves the waste of money and order from Clay Pit, Bombay Grill, Madras Dhaba or basically anywhere else but this place.
