The only thing I left wondering was how this place isn’t packed. I grew up on the Italian Market in Philly and my grandmother’s gravy, so I know good Italian when I taste it, and this was, hands down, the best Italian food I’ve had in Syracuse. And believe me, I’ve tried them all. We stopped in on a whim and started with the wedge salad, which had a unique and fresh twist on the classic. For dinner, we enjoyed perfectly cooked pasta and the most flavorful chicken cutlet, and we couldn’t resist adding the meatball and sausage Italian street food sandwich to our order. Everything was fantastic. They even have their own beer in collaboration with a local brewery, and both the wine and martinis were excellent. The menu may look small at first glance, but there are plenty of ways to personalize your dish. The prices were more than reasonable for the quality, and the service was outstanding. We just moved to the neighborhood and are thrilled to have found this gem. The indoor seating has a great vibe and a stylish bar, while the new outdoor seating offers a lot of potential. I’d love to see the space come to life even more, maybe some music playing. In the meantime we will be rushing back.

I highly recommend eating here before it becomes impossible to get a table. Everything we had was outstanding. The cutlets were incredible—perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The pasta was cooked to a flawless al dente, and the sauce had a rich flavor with just the right kick of spice to take it to another level. Even the bread and olive oil, which sounds simple, really stood out and complemented the meal beautifully. And the arancini… I could honestly eat them like popcorn. Desserts weren’t our favorite, but to be fair, we didn’t come here for dessert—we came for the dinner and in that department this place absolutely delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I finally decided to check out Colucci on Westcott Street last night. (Formerly the Beer Belly Deli) Now I’m sorry we waited so long! (They have been open just over a year now) Everything was delicious! (I tried several non GF items - I have gluten sensitivity, not an allergy) We started with risotto balls that were super cheesy inside and nice and crispy on the outside. The meatballs were also delicious. (So was the crunchy bread) I had the Cavatelli & Broccoli with GF pasta and it was absolutely delicious! The broccoli was fresh and had a perfect bit of crunch to it, and the pasta was perfectly el dente (difficult to do with GF pasta), and the sauce was perfect (wish there was more of it!). And the grilled chicken…boy o boy, it was perfectly grilled, and surprisingly tender and juicy for thin strips. I asked the owner if it was brined and he explained he only gets a certain cut and it has to be perfectly fresh or he will refuse to buy it. My husband had the Ragu Bianco. It’s a fabulous twist from traditional bolognese (white instead of red). I was intrigued by the olive oil cake, and it was delicious. The vanilla gelato was fabulously good as well. The Pinot Grigio was Italian and delicious. As was the Montepulciano. My only gripe was they serve 5 oz pours instead of 6 or 9 LOL The chairs are metal so I would recommend sitting on your jacket as the venue can be a little chilly and the chairs are quite cold when you first sit down. (4 stars on ambience for that reason) We are looking forward to checking out their outdoor patio once the weather warms up! (Wind chill was 20 below zero last night!)

Finally, an authentic Italian place that is actually worth the hype! My husband booked a reservation for us last night for dinner and it was absolutely phenomenal! We were so pleased by the quality of all of our dishes, as well as the incredible flavor of everything we tried. The Suppli was incredible, as well as the Antipasti. We had the chicken cutlets with the fresh pasta and besiamella sauce, and the lasagna as our entree. The portions were generous, and the promise of old world Italian cooking was not left unkept. The presentation was flawless and we left planning another night out to be able to come back and try more dishes. The entree menu is smaller than most restaurants, but that to me means that the ingredients were fresh (and you can definitely tell by the flavor), and it honestly was refreshing to not sift through pages and pages of lackluster meals where the heart isn’t in it. This place has heart, and we will definitely be returning!

We had an excellent time at Colucci. The atmosphere and service were great. The fried mozzarella appetizer and cavatelli and broccoli were amazing. We had to taste a little of everything. The meatballs were just like grandma's, and the chicken cutlet was perfect! Don't forget to save some room because the tiramisu was excellent.

Just had an incredible dinner at this newer Italian gem! The owner’s passion for food shines through every dish—he sources the freshest ingredients personally, traveling to select distributors to ensure top quality. The flavors are beautifully layered and vibrant. And the BEST meatballs I've had in a long time in a restaurant. Looking forward to our next visit.

Colucci is a hidden gem that exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an inviting atmosphere with cozy red lighting that set the perfect mood for a relaxing evening. The vibe was warm and welcoming, and it immediately felt like a place where you could enjoy great food and good company. The menu is small and simple, which I appreciated because it shows a focus on quality over quantity. At first glance, the prices seemed fair, though when our food arrived, the portion sizes felt a bit on the smaller side. I’ll admit, I was initially skeptical about whether it would be worth it. But the moment I took my first bite, all doubts disappeared. The food was incredibly flavorful, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Each dish was crafted with care and packed with authentic Italian taste. Despite the portions, the meals were surprisingly filling and left me completely satisfied. The staff at Colucci were a standout. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was such a great and humble person. It’s clear that they take pride in creating a memorable dining experience, and it’s always special to see someone so invested in their craft. Colucci is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. From the atmosphere to the service and, of course, the food, everything about this experience was fantastic. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality Italian cuisine in a charming setting. Worth every penny!

Been to Colucci multiple times now, and these are world-class meatballs that'll make you forget every other meatball you've had. They taste like someone's great-grandmother is in the kitchen, perfecting each one. Not just the meatballs though – everything we tried was above and beyond, from the stuffed peppers to the lasagna. Food comes out lightning fast but tastes like it's been cooking all day. Perfect portions that won't leave you in a food coma the next morning. Sophisticated space with welcoming service that makes you feel right at home. Nothing bad on the menu, and we tried almost everything. If you're looking for authentic Italian that actually delivers – this is your spot. Those meatballs alone are worth the trip.

A Hidden Gem with Heart and Flavor From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere instantly made me feel at home. Warm lighting, charming decor, and a relaxed vibe—it was the perfect setting for a comforting meal. I ordered the lasagna, and wow—what a dish. The portion was generous, and every layer was a masterpiece. You could truly taste the quality—the rich, flavorful meats, the creamy, well-balanced cheeses, and the perfectly seasoned sauce all came together in a way that blew me away. Honestly, it might be the best lasagna I’ve ever had. What makes it even more special is knowing I'm supporting a local business that clearly puts care into every detail. The ingredients taste fresh and thoughtfully sourced, and you can absolutely tell the difference. Our server, Emily, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. She made us feel appreciated from start to finish, and her warm energy really added to the experience. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try something new—this place is a keeper!

I recently dined at Colucci, located at 510 Westcott Street in Syracuse, NY , and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner was hands-on and accommodating, ensuring every detail was perfect. We began with the suppli appetizer, which melted in my mouth, and the antipasto bastone was decadent. The fried gnocchi was so addictive that we couldn’t get enough. For the main course, the pasta scelta was mouth-watering, showcasing the restaurant’s unique take on Italian street food . Dessert was a highlight, with both the tiramisu and olive oil cake exceeding our expectations. The presentation was delightful, and the taste was incredible. Even the cleanliness of the bathrooms was pristine, reflecting the establishment’s attention to detail. Colucci blends family recipes with modern innovation, honoring heritage with a fresh twist . It’s no wonder they are considered one of the top Italian restaurants in the area . Five stars all around! We will definitely be back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had the best meal at Coluccis located on Westcott St. John spends a lot of time making sure he puts fresh and top notch ingredients into all his dishes. Vegan and vegetarian options also available. The red sauce he uses (grandmas recipe) is literally the best I’ve ever had!!! We were also surprised to know that there is a cute outdoor area with a fire pit out back. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and check it out… I promise you won’t be disappointed:)

I had the opportunity to try Colucci’s and it is hands down the best Italian food in upstate NY. The cutlets were better than any restaurant or Home made Italian cutlets I’ve had anywhere! Can’t forget the tiramisu is absolutely incredible I don’t think anyone will find one even comparable. Highly recommend this to any and everyone!!!

A truly authentic Italian experience. My first visit to this gem of a restaurant was for my twin sister’s law school graduation dinner, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect evening. The food tastes like it came straight out of a home kitchen, but even better, because you get to sit back, relax, and have it served to you with incredible hospitality. We were treated with such kindness and care all night, and my sister kept saying she couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. The food was all around a great experience. The lasagna was rich, full of flavor, and held together perfectly—tender to cut through, but not messy at all. The Italian wedge salad was a standout with Gorgonzola (instead of typical blue cheese), pickled shallots, sun-dried tomatoes, and pepperoncini—light, yet packed with flavor. The house-made suppli (similar to arancini but with their own twist) was absolutely out of this world. We also tried Triangolos, one with chicken, one with meatball and both were phenomenal. And then there’s the olive oil cake… I’ve literally gone back just for that. It’s now my favorite dessert—light, citrusy, and melts in your mouth. This place isn’t just dinner, it’s a full-on experience that feels like home, with food that’s unforgettable. Highly recommend for any special occasion, or even just because you deserve a great meal.

I came here a few weeks ago and there wasn’t any bar yet since the restaurant is so new and just recently opened so I waited till tonight to have a quick dinner and I’m so happy I waited. The espresso martinis were delicious but the stuffed pepper was outstanding! So much flavor and so filling, reminded me of my mother’s cooking and the perfect dish for a cold night. The blonde bartender was so friendly and served me quickly. Needless to say I’ll be back and I’m looking forward to trying a pasta dish next time. This is just what westcott needed.

I don’t often leave reviews — and when I do, they’re usually negative — but this one is well deserved. A little about me for context: I’m 5’8”, 260 lbs, spent half my life bodybuilding, and I’ve had to be extremely conscientious about my diet most of my adult life. I’m also a serious foodie. I love to cook, own hundreds of cookbooks, invest in top-tier cookware, and I travel frequently — dining at four- and five-star restaurants all over the U.S. I know food, and I’m always chasing a great meal. Frankly, I’ve found many of the Italian restaurants around Syracuse to be mediocre at best. But last night we went to Colucci’s on Westcott Street — and I have to say — the food was phenomenal. The ambiance is good — not over the top — but the food is what steals the show. • The red sauce is outstanding — rich, balanced, and clearly homemade. • Pasta was perfectly al dente. • Seasoning was spot on — great heat if you like it spicy, but still excellent on the milder side. • The arancini (risotto balls) were perfect — ideal cheese-to-risotto balance, not overly spicy. • Meatballs were hand-rolled and absolutely delicious. • Bread — terrific. Dessert sealed the deal: the olive oil cake and gelato were nearly flawless. Our waiter, Ryan, was phenomenal — attentive without hovering. The wine list is well curated with excellent Italian selections (including low-sulfite options, which I appreciated). i also had the chance to speak with the owner at length — great guy — and many of the recipes are rooted in his grandmother’s cooking. That authenticity shows, especially in the chicken cutlets, which are some of the best I’ve ever had. So, from the perspective of a very large guy who eats constantly and knows good food when he finds it — I hate to even say this because I don’t want the place overrun when I want a table — but Colucci’s on Westcott Street is the real deal. Phenomenal.

I can’t say enough good things about this spot! I ate four chicken cutlets with the broccoli pasta, three meatballs, and a serving of bread. John (the owner) came out personally to check what we thought of the food. He was personable, professional, and funny. I’ve been to Italy and this felt like Italy. The handmade meatballs were fantastic! Definitely the number one Italian restaurant in Syracuse NY, and top five restaurants overall. Joeys/Delmonico‘s fall very short comparatively. Go to Colucci’s!

My husband and I took our in-laws to Colucci for a random Friday night dinner, and it’s safe to say everyone walked away majorly impressed and sufficiently full. I had the Mezzi Alla Diavolina pasta dish - literally one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. Spicy but not overpowering, and the meat was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered a side of the spicy sauce to dip his bread into haha. The meatballs were 10/10 and we all agreed that we’d come back and try a different dish because everything looked top notch! On top of the amazing food, our waitress Lauren was so kind, well spoken, and took care of all our needs and handled all her tables like a seasoned professional. Syracuse’s got a new staple Italian restaurant in Colucci and I highly recommend anyone to make a reservation to experience this fine dining experience for themselves - you won’t be disappointed!

Spent Valentine’s Day here with friend group. Service was quick and friendly. Ambience was very nice. Appetizers were tasty but in my opinion a bit small for the price. Entree portions seemed in par. Food was fresh and delicious. Dessert portions were very small for the price in my opinion but very tasty. Thank you!

Syracuse people— Run, don’t walk to Colucci! It is some of the freshest, best Italian food in town! I’m Italian and this food ranks right up there with my family’s. Outstanding. Friendly, attentive wait staff. Cozy atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you can tell it's going to be delicious as the wonderful aromas floating out of the kitchen clue you in. Located on Westcott St. across from Boom Babies. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I had a special date night here Friday. He had the Italian street food appetizer and the stuffed peppers for dinner. I had a spicy pasta dish with sausage (can't remember the name). Everything was excellent and service was quick and attentive. Honestly I thought my dish was better than the chicken riggies at a certain downtown restaurant that starts with a P :) 😀. I don't know why there isn't a line out the door. The only thing I wasn’t so keen on was the television being on, didn't feel like it matched the vibe but to each his own.

Had dinner at 6PM on a Saturday. Only three tables occupied, one of which was our. By the time we left, only one more table was filled. This place should be packed! The food is outstanding. People wait in crowds at Pastabilities for an hour or more. Don't do that! Just go to Colucci's. I'm not knocking Pasta's, but Colucci is on par (or maybe even better) without the hassle of being overcrowded. What about the food? The Caprese Triangolo was flippin' fantastic! I should have gotten another. The Lasagna too was the best I've had anywhere in all of 2025. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. What more could you want? Just GO! Give this place your money so it sticks around, they deserve it.

Lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Colucci! Since we had a late lunch, we chose a few appetizers rather than mains, and they were tasty (the triangulos are like little half sandwiches in ciabatta). Service was great. One suggestion might be not to play reality television (cooking shows) projected on the wall during dinner, or especially not on a special holiday evening? Just a little distracting.

I feel that this restaurant is very overhyped. Service once we got to the table was good, our waitress was very nice and attentive but little to no service while sitting at the bar. Looking at the reviews and actually experiencing this place was two different restaurants. Me and my fiancé came here for the first time and everything was lack luster. To start the atmosphere is sub-par, very millennial type vibe with cheap table and uncomfortable chairs. There was also a tv over the bar playing golf and then a projector playing cable food network channel on one of the main walls in the restaurant. Kinda killed the vibes. The food was okay at best. I think the best food item we had was the arancini balls. Then for desert we ordered tiramisu and the chocolate panna cotta. The tiramisu was good but the panna cotta was not as advertised. For starters, it was served in a small to go cup (resembling a pup cup from Starbucks) but on the website it’s served on a plate with a raspberry drizzle and whip cream, plus it wasn’t set properly and was pretty loose. We felt that they were taking a lot of expense shortcuts which is disappointing as a customer. I don’t think we will ever go back, maybe a good lunch place/ small bites but save your money for dinner at a different place.

They have a very limited menu and only three wines. I was not impressed with the food they choose to offer on the menu. Service was excellent. Marinara is good. The meatballs are great. But there are better pasta restaurants in Syracuse
