Panera Bread in The Colony receives mixed reviews. Many praise the soups, salads, sandwiches, and brownies, along with the clean environment and fast service. Laura, the catering manager, is frequently mentioned for her excellent service. However, some customers report inconsistent food quality, missing items, and slow service, especially via drive-through.

Recensioni di Panera Bread The Colony
My experience with Panera catering has always been nothing short of excellent. Their catering manager, Laura, went above and beyond with my order; my client was thrilled! I greatly appreciate her responsiveness and professionalism. My highest complements go out to this team!
Love stopping here on my way to work for a four cheese souffle or a toasted cinnamon crunch bagel with cream cheese along with a hot Chai! Service is quick, the crew is friendly and the food is yummy! Wish they would bring back the four cheese flatbread!
I was getting very sad at the recent decline in quality from Panera Bread until I went to this location. They are extremely friendly here inside and at the drive thru. The quality of the salads far surpasses other locations. The location seems to always be extremely clean too. I’m so glad to have this one.
This is the most consistent and best managed Panera location of anywhere we have lived.
My delivery order came incorrect. Panera employees were quick to correct it and get it ready for redelivery. I was blown away that one of the employees went out of her way to personally hand deliver to my home, when she wasn’t able to get a dasher. This is why Panera will always be my go to especially when you’re feeling under the weather and just want some comfort food. They go out of their way for their customers (The Colony location) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first visit since working in the area. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Parking is tough, but the managers and staff do a great job making sure their getting it right for you!
THE BEST! MY hubby & I travel a 4 state region on a fairly regular basis (OK, KS, MO & TX) on a regular basis. Often we will seek a Panera location for breakfast & coffee because we can generally count on them being dependable. A particular employee at this location in The Colony TX has just raised the bar for ALL others: Laura Tilton. is friendly, professional & compassionate. Beyond that though, she is genuinely good person. I feel like God put her in the right place the day we stopped in… We were in town to visit my elder Dad who has been in the hospital & physical rehab, recovering from an accident. My mother had passed away just 2 weeks before he got hurt… & I had learned that her urn at the crematorium had not been picked-up. I am dealing with details regarding Dad’s move to my state once he is better; Dealing with his home so it can be listed for sale; Taking care of his finances… So many things. Needless to say I was a bit flustered. Laura was on my side of the counter while I ordered. She asked how I was doing… & I actually told her instead of just saying “fine”… & she listened. The encouragement she shared & kindness she showed were really uplifting. Then she personally brought out our order… & gifted us a small bag with 2 cookies for Dad. She exemplifies the leadership traits that unfortunately not enough business display these days. Bottom line, Laura is the ideal ambassador for the Panera brand…. Especially with the “New Era of Panera” promotion. Thank You!
It was my first time ordering at Panera and I wasn't sure what to order, the girl in the drive-thru was so sweet and patient with me, I very much appreciated that. She re-assured me that my choices were good ones, and when I went to pay she even threw in a little sample of something sweet and that was really sweet of her. I value customer service very highly and after having a rough day at work, she honestly made my lunch break so much sweeter. Thank you Panera for having great employees! oh and the food was really good! i had a turkey sandwich with the squash soup and some fancy tea and it was delightful!
I came here for a late lunch and was pleased with my service. The drive through speaker was having issues and there was a bit of a wait but my food was delicious and the staff was super friendly and apologetic about the issues they were having. I don't mind minor issues as long as my food is good and I thoroughly appreciate amazing customer service.
Great! Delicious soup, salad, sandwich, bread, apple or possibly other meal side choices and water or non-alcoholic???... beverage choices.
Ms. Laura the manager is so friendly. She remembers who you are and sincerely cares.
I went through the drive-thru and they accidentally forgot to put one of my items in my bag and were unable to call me after I left because I am not a member. I called them when I got home and realized, Garcia offered to have Jennifer deliver my sandwich to me for the inconvenience! Thank you guys for having incredible customer service and being so kind.
Clean place, easy ordering through the self-service screens, and lots of customization options. Service was quick and smooth. Great spot for a fast, convenient meal.
Decided to stop in today to get some lunch. I had the pleasure of meeting Laura.Who is the caterie manager. She was absolutely wonderful extremely friendly, professional. She made the experience wonderful. I'll Be back a whole lot more now.
Great selection of soups and salads and sandwiches. Can't pass them up ... Dessert brownies top off the meal.
The food was excellent and the service was perfect. I will be happy to return in the future. It was sad to see so few people in here on a Friday when everything was so great. Hopefully they were flooded with to go orders.
Laura, the catering manager, is awesome! I ordered food for a party, and she was so helpful. Not only did she have everything ready to go on time, she packed it really well to make pick up so fast and easy. The food itself was also prepared and packed beautifully which helped the presentation on the table look really lovely. I had so many compliments. Well done, Panera, and thank you, Laura!
I love Panera Bread food but man price is tough. Either buying food or pay your rent
The night manager, David, is the reason why I am giving this location 4 stars (I would have only given 1). He was completely professional and perfectly respectful. Panera is lucky to have him as an employee. If I owned a business, I would hire him. My order was messed up, my experience was not so great and the food was good. I am not going to put a bunch of details on here because I trust David to handle the situation accordingly. Thank you David for your extraordinary service.
We come here a lot as we like the food. We get take out more than dine in, and we will be back no worries. I believe in if you are not made aware, than management can't fix it. The receipt does say, if something is not right in your order than to let them know. We ordered food on 4/4/22 and everything was checked off as in the bag and correct. Well not this time, we did not have the side of chips, or french baget and the bbq smoked chicken sandwhich did not have bbq as they ran out, so we did subsitute for another sauce which was fine. Again, not a complaint Not sure I can say who "checked" the bag, but it did start with an A.
Had dinner here with a cousin of mine. Ordering food through the touch screen menu was a neat and painless experience. I had their macaroni and cheese, and boy was it good! They've got some really interesting choices in soups and sandwiches in general, in addition to some variety in teas and coffees. Will be visiting here again in the future
Great causal restaurant for a meal. The food was easy to order on the app, at the front counter. We chose to find a seat first and ordered our meal using the app. This was a very quick and easy process. The meals did not take long to arrive either. The seating was a bit cumbersome as we only had a chose of the largest table in the resultant due to the number of people already seated. The chicken sandwich was excellent! Loved crispy Parmesan pieces. The teriyaki bowel was also very good. They food delivery was the only minor letdown. The person bringing our food did not bring us but one of the three drinks we ordered and the second trip up to the counter was a little out of sorts as he was busy delivering other orders. Overall, not a bad experience. EXCELLENT chicken sandwich.
I stopped by this location with my spouse to grab a bite to eat. We tried the flat bread pizza, soups, a salad, and a sandwich. We did add a cookie to our feast as an added snack. There was a bit of confusion of where to pick up the food from the waiting area. Some of the napkins container were empty and we had to wait to get one for our meal. Some of the drink items were out as well and we had to wait to get a specific one there also. The pizza seemed to be a bit cooler than I would have liked, but it was otherwise okay. The cashier was great in helping us to decide what to get since it was our first time back in the restaurant in many years. The restaurant is located on the corner and is very difficult to get into and out of after trying to leave the parking lot. There was handicapped spots in the lot of the parking lot available.
I came at lunch, and as it is - I realize they are busy...however I handed over my card to pay and before I could even get out that I had a reward to use (that expired today and was the only reason I came in), it was "too late" and she handed me back my card and closed the window. Then when she realized a few minutes later I was still there she opened the window and asked what I was waiting for. I replied "a receipt" which seemed to irritate her. If you are going to have a reward program, your whole staff should be trained to ask BEFORE running payment for a phone number/reward card, etc. And- a receipt should be pretty standard...this is the third time at that location I have not been given a receipt first (once I drove away, twice now I have had to ask). Food is good - service could use some work.
Big interior with some spacious nooks & booths. It could use with more electric outlets though since we'll spend an hour or 2 working and chatting with our laptops & devices. Just need some updating in general. The staff's more remote in general than others. Not as quick to greet but they're helpful, when approached. The trash countertop usually gets filled up with empty trays & such and liquid messes from the beverage area next to it that don't get cleaned up for awhile. Not as generous with butter & condiments when we order bagels, bread & sandwiches, compared to other Paneras. Restrooms are clean & have 2 stalls, which I appreciate.
Nice Panera Bread restaurant locals enjoy daily. Pretty busy and good customer service. They offer all you can sip program for I believe 11.99 per month. If you order through kiosk sometimes they offer you an instant discount on the spot before you checkout. Easy to use app with delivery offers sometimes. You must spend over 15 dollars for delivery. Pricing is above average for their products. Their super charged lemonade are very good. If you have an American. Express credit card check your offers section as sometimes you will get free drink offers from Panera Bread being an American Express credit card holder. Enjoy!
The atmosphere is excellent, and services are good. The food portion is so small, but the price is comparatively high, and that's the reason I would give 3 stars. I would still come back, but it would be much less frequent.
A bit frost bitten lettuce for my Caesar salad is not a good first impression. I went back today for some soup as it was chilly and the Mediterranean sandwich was very tasty except the grilled cheese was in different type of bread. It would have been more thoughtful to ask before placing the order if that would be okay instead of when handing over order.
Food was good, but the attitude of the staff was very unfriendly. We asked them to warm up a pastry and were told it was against their policy. My husband had to get down on his knees to use a microwave close to the floor, and he is legally blind. And we tipped them before this happened. Starbucks next time where they actually want to serve customers!!
The service was okay on the drive through, was really excited about the new soup and salad. Compare the picture to the reality. $15 for something the size of a fast food side salad and a tiny bit of soup. Such a bad value. Felt ripped off. I’ll pay more for good food, but I thought maybe they put the wrong salad size in my bag? You can get great food at other places for this much money. Also the Thai chicken soup really watered down. They have other good soups there. Don’t waste time.
A couple bagels a couple coffees. Seemed easy enough. I am sure behind the counter was new. But just seemed to take forever. They did toast our bagels. But why us cream cheese as much as they bagel? No thanks. Butter was hiding and knives no where to be found. If you aren't in a hurry then step right up.
The establishment was clean and the staff was super friendly. The young man who helped us at the counter suggested a few items as it was our first time. This place offers sandwiches, soups, and pastas. The food although is common, the flavors are different. So your tatse buds will get a different twist on typical foods served elsewhere. Although I applaud the difference in tastes, it was not for me. I would return again however for soup in the bread bowl or for the teas. We had the chicken salad with strawberry spinach salad, the mac and cheese bbq chicken and philly sandwich, grilled cheese with bacon and chips, tomato basil soup, and a broccoli soup in a bread bowl. There were several tea options that were delicious.
I love Panera, but was very unimpressed with my experience at this location. Only saw one team member in the building and they made no effort towards customer service. All of the craft drinks were empty and nearly all of the tables were dirty. An elderly couple came in while we were there and the team member behind the register told them service was kiosk only. They couldn’t figure out how to use the kiosk and instead of offering to help and take their order, he allowed them to leave. I don’t know that a kiosk that customers all have to touch is a better option than taking orders at the counter, especially since I didn’t see anyone clean the kiosk after use. The dining area exemplified an overall lack of sanitization in the building. Panera is a great company, but this location could use some help. My food was good, but my wife’s sandwich was not up to typical Panera standards, also our napkins were placed under our food so mine was covered in Tuna and hers spilled chicken noodle soup.
Panera as a whole, I enjoy, but this location is on my "Do Not Return" list. Two days in a row they got a very simple order wrong. They didn't even come outside to bring my curbside delivery and when I asked why they said they didn't get a notification of it but when I went outside I saw my name and arrival on the pickup screen. I'm disappointed in my experience but since I'm only visiting for a week, I'll still stick to my regular Panera in Houston.
Web ordered, not started when I arrived an hour later. The check in people were pleasant and helpful. But, I tried to call the location about 9:30 and no answer. Called the corp number and was told the best way to order was on their web page. Boy, did I get screwed. Placed an order for 12 people completed at 10:30. When I arrived at 11:40 they had not started the order. I was told the order did not come through their web ordering system. Fortunately, I had printed off a copy of the order. The shift supervisor said that they could complete the order in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later it was finally completed. What was really irritating is the shift supervisor spent 10 to 15 minutes trying to verify my order on their website, I guess looking for my error.
My first and last visit was a 3:00 business meeting I arranged. Nobody working front counter, girls in back on their phones, filthy tables and chairs. All I ordered was iced tea. Afraid to eat there. Lacks customer service and needs updating badly. I don't normally write bad reviews but this place was embarrassing!
I have loved Panera for years! However, this particular location is just NOT what I'm used to. I'm used to friendly and helpful employees at the other locations I've frequented. I've been through the drive thru a couple of times and they were quite slow and acted bothered when I asked for cream and sugar for my coffee. I mean if I'm ordering coffee, don't you think I may want cream and/or sugar? When I've dined in there have been times when I had to wait several minutes just to be greeted and my order taken. There have been times where the employees I've seen just look extremely sloppy or unhappy to be there. I love Panera but this particular location needs to get it together.
Tonight I showed up one minute after close and they refused to serve. Forced to stay in drive through while they served the three cars in front me. My wife has had issues with level of service. We are fans of Panera but will no longer visit this one. Only posting to provide candid feedback to the manager.
I have had two subpar service experiences from this Panera Bread. Once I did a delivery from this location and it had only half of my order. I tried calling the store and they claimed I was calling the wrong store after calling 5 times with no answers. I had to go to the store and thankful they refunded my order. The second happen when I went through the drive through at 9pm (just finished from working late) and needed some dinner. I pulled up and the store and they said they were only serving a limited menu. Never heard of this and would like to know why it was a limited menu with an hour left of being open (9/06/20)I had just been to this location a week before (8/31/2020) and they did not have this.
Panera is just not the same as it used to be. The food is not the same quality that I had grown to love. I have ordered delivery twice from here and something was missing each time. The butternut squash soup is still awesome, but everything else seems hit or miss. Sometimes the pastries are wonderful and sometimes they taste days old. This is still my go to place for soup in a pinch, but we tend to choose other options in the area otherwise.
I ordered a pick up through Door Dash for lunch today. I went thru the drive thru to pick up my order because I'm on crutches at the moment so. I told the young lady I had a Door Dash pick and she responded with oh all Door Dash order have to be picked up inside. So I kindly asked can you make an exception for me to pick up through the drive thru since I'm on crutches but I still got denied getting my food thru the drive thru. Explanation from her was people were stealing Door Dash orders in the drive-thru so I understood that but the young lady could've asked for proof from me that I was the one ordering and I would have shown proof. So I had to park and as I gathered myself and as soon as I got out of my car a gentleman ran out of the door with my food and apologized for the inconvenience.
I went to this location on Sunday, Nov. 10 around 10:30 a.m., and the service was terrible. The young lady working there walked by me while I stood there waiting to order. I said hello, and she ignored me. She then went into the back for about five minutes. I said hello again. She came to the register. When I told her politely that I had been waiting and she ignored me, she told me she didn't say anything to me, laughed, and walked again to the back. I'm not sure if she just didn't think I was worth waiting on or if she's like this to everyone, but it made me never want to spend my money at this location again.
I've always enjoyed their food. But, their menu and marketing are incredibly snobby, and the portions have gotten far too small over the years. The last time I went to this location, my $11 sandwich came on a piece of sourdough that was a good 3.5 inches long, barely larger than a dinner roll. Apparently, they've stopped cutting their sandwiches in half because that would make them too small to stand up by themselves.
I have visited this location 3 times. 2 out of 3 times they messed up my order. The first time they completely forgot my sandwich and I didn't realize till I got home. I gave the store a call and the manager said they would take my name down and give me a free meal on my next visit. I did return and they honored that free meal. For my 3rd trip to this location, they gave me the wrong order. I ordered a steak and white cheddar sandwich and French onion soup. They gave me a chicken sandwich and broccoli cheese soup. Again I did not realize until I got home. I made another call to the store and they apologized profusely and asked if I could come back to make things right. I was compted a free meal and was able to keep the order mess up. I was not refunded for my trouble though. All in all, there is much better Panera locations and I would drive the extra distance to go to a different location.
I used to eat here frequently, but it seems as though their food quality has gone downhill. The food is skimpy in size and looks slapped together. I finally called it quits after the third time that I ended up with a sick family member. The customer service could also be better. The last time I was there, I asked for a cup of coffee (which they forgot in my togo order), and the blonde woman behind the counter did not acknowledge me in any way. She simply placed the coffee cup on the counter and walked away without even looking in my direction.
I ordered a pick 2 sandwich and soup with an additional small side of Mac n cheese with a drink. 26 dollars!!!! RIDICULOUS, should have made it at home, would have tasted the same! LOL and
Got an order delivered to find my sandwich was wrong. The sandwich I received look inedible. Bread was all torn and not “sandwiched” correctly. Upon calling store I was practically blown off and to call back later. When requested corporate number manager said he didn’t know. He did say he would get me a refund but how does that help eating dinner. Could have easily said if I drove up their he could make me a new sandwich. Everything else we ordered was correct and good so two stars Christian
Coffee a hit or miss and today was a huge miss. Ordered the usual and the consistency of the milk to coffee ratio never the same. Today the Milk was 99%, with 1 % sugar and 0% coffee. Not kidding, I was given ice milk with sugar today 😂😂😊 [Update] 4/5 11:07. Came back to get coffee added to my Ice coffee drink. Found out the manager the one that made it. She said she had to remake it, so it was done incorrectly twice. She apologized but I went Karen and asked for a bagel. Basically wasted my time, no caffeine in the morning which was a crappy morning. Anyways, asked what's her favorite bagel , she said none of em. I said oh that's not good, then I'll get a cookie instead. Thank you for saving me from your bagels, had no idea they were bad . I do appreciate you looking out in that one.
Smaller location with limited seating and space compared to others. Food portions were also smaller (smaller banquet slices half filled soup cups/bowls and less meat on sandwiches). Out of bags of chips (so not keeping their restaurant stocked properly on essentials). Saturday lunch early in a weekend. Ham was substituted for turkey (without even asking) as they were out of ham for the kids ham & cheese sandwich. As a normal Panera regular, we will not return to this location again. Needs new management apparently 🤔 Also a shared parking lot with In N Out so parking was very limited (hard to find a spot).
Unfortunately, this Location appears to be going down in efforts of service. In my last visit, I noticed some inconsistent changes. These changes were different from my previous visit and different from my visits at other locations. 1.) The sandwich looked like it was just thrown together. 2.) The orange and cranberry loaf slice I requested to be heated up for a few seconds in the microwave and they said they could not do that. While they’ve done it before, and Other locations have also accommodated the request, this location on 121 Was standing their ground that they’re not able to do that. 3.) The service was quick, so that was good, I suppose. But it was at the cost of the store associate not wanting to accommodate to heating up of a bakery item.
The lunch was satisfying and the staff was attentive and friendly- But this particular Panera needs a face-lift and deep cleaning. Booths with torn seats and dirty walls to look at don’t necessarily make you feel cozy while eating. Plus I overheard the booth beside me complaining about their lunch portion size and how it was different on a previous visit :/ This Panera location has some improvements to work on.
Very disappointed in this location, I just got a small Fujitsu apple salad and cup of tomatoes soup for $11.78. My first thought was that was a little pricey and then got home and opened it and it is nothing more than maybe a cup of salad and a few small very thin scrapes of chicken, and the tomatoes soup tastes burnt! it took all I had not to bring this back. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have given this store the opportunity to get better, but seems to be getting worse.. I will not be back.
If I could give this place a 0, then I would. I went through the drive thru this morning and ordered 2 bagels. While in the process of the cook prepping my bagels, he dropped one on the floor and proceeded to put it in the oven to prep and give to me. I immediately and politely called him out on the unsanitary action. His reply “no I threw it away” but mind you I saw him put it in the oven. It wasn’t until after the bagel was cooking did he go back and get another fresh bagel and prepped that one and threw out the other one. When calling to the store and informing the manager on duty, it appeared this was no seriousness to the conversation as she laughed at the end when she thanked me for calling. This place is unsanitary. Corporate will be informed a department of health will be as well.
Came in for bagels and iced coffee tell me why the cream cheese cost the same as the bagels $ 1.89 why not just tell people its $ 5 instead of making you think the creamcheese is free cashier doesn't tell you there is a charge be warned. The iced coffee i got was self serve and looked more like lite tea then coffee .I could see through it so disappointed in Panera I paid $4 for it when I could have gotten a great tall coffee at starbucks with that money.
Guaranteed to make you late for work. Every time I give this place another chance they fail expectations expeditiously. I ordered a bagel and coffee. Received my bagel in 2 minutes. Cool. Why did it take another 8 minutes and 56 seconds for the coffee to come out. 🤯🤌🏾
I told Kenya the manager I would give them zero stars if I could .. poor customer service . Went through drive through and on the ledge of drive through window there is a Tip Box ! Tip Box for what ! Panera needs to remove the Tip Box & Replace with Smiles on their Team Members Faces & Attitude Adjustments to include a greeting & a thank you for choosing Panera ! I am not happy about the way my order was taken at the box in drive through then the next thing I see is a huge tip box on the outside of the drive through window on the ledge and then the little girl snatched my card out of my hand & said here ya go and shut the window after almost slinging my Muffin at me ...what ? Yes after the drive through I pulled over & went inside to speak to management ... Defeats the entire purpose of me choosing the drive through. This is unfortunate as I guess Panera does not care about the internal or external customer ! Unbelievable .... This was not the Experience I was hoping for on this Sunday Morning .. I asked Kenya with a Rhetorical Question. Are you the only Restaurant in this area? Ha! No she replied which is correct .. Panera remove the Tip Box. From the ledge in the drive through & train your employees to be Respectful to guest! No I do not recommend this location at all! No God Sees All God Witnessed this exchange this morning !
Food is good. It is not always easy for the staff to identify who is setting where, which is sometimes confusion and frustrating. Every single time I’ve requested to get a printed receipt, the staff never includes it. Also when they deliver the orders they deliver it incomplete, they simply forget parts of your order! The place can be cleaner.. weird smell is sometime present.
I ordered a baker’s dozen bagels for 10:15am pickup (at around 9:25am). I also ordered an extra bagel, with cream cheese, and an iced cafe latte. My bagels weren’t ready until 10:27am, barely toasted and cold. My iced latte was basically milk only, as it literally had zero darkness to it, just white. So light, in fact, I didn’t even accept it. I didn’t get my extra bagel and cream cheese I paid for either. It’s supposed to be a bagel special day every Tuesday, as far as I know. Where is management? Do you have hourly employees running this place? What’s the issue here? I can’t order bagels and a coffee AN HOUR AHEAD OF TIME and expect to get them on time? Do not stop here. You will be dissatisfied.
In town for a few days and stopped in this location to grab some lunch today. I used the Kiosk to place my order because the line was so long. I watched them put my order up in the window and watched the lady open the bag, look inside and then sign the receipt and put my order in the pick up area. I got back to my hotel to find that only half of my order was in the bag.. Good thing she checked it and signed the receipt!
Mac and cheese had no flavor and the cinnamon bun was dry, looking and tasting nothing like fresh.
When you order a Strawberry Poppyseed CHICKEN salad, you would expect chicken on it. Especially when they ask "with or without chicken" and you say "with chicken" but nope. Drove all the way home super ready to eat my yummy salad with chicken only to find no chicken. Then tried to call and the guy who answered the phone kept hanging up on me. Haven't eaten at Panera in a while for just this reason and I'm done with it for good. The place has gotten too big for their britches and I refuse to pay those prices for whatever they decide to give me.
My colleagues and I order from here off of DoorDash and our experience with our driver was great! However, our food was completely wrong. One salad Chicken Caesar salad) was delivered with no dressing, our other salad (Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken) was not delivered with the dressing that was selected, none of the substitutions/changes were made, and also sent the wrong dressing. When we tried to call to have our order corrected, they hung up the phone before speaking to us. Small mistakes like leaving out napkins or silverware out is one thing but to get 2 whole items completely wrong is upsetting, nd the fact it took an hour for 2 salads to be made is another disappointment!
Hands down worst service. Online order (9 sandwiches) put in with a pickup time of 12:20pm. Pick up food at 12:20pm. Get a call at 12:30 that 5 sandwiches weren’t put in the bag. Store apologized, asked for our address so they could deliver the rest. I thanked them for the correction. 1:20 the other 5 sandwiches still haven’t arrived. I called the store 3 times with no answer. 4th time they pickup the phone. Manager doesn’t know where the sandwiches are. She is no help. At 1:30pm finally received the 5 sandwiches. Wouldn’t it have been easier for me to just come back versus waiting over 1 hour for delivery?? Over $100 bill and awful service. Lost a customer. Manager Caterina (spelling??) Isn’t qualified to be a manager.
Had to wait more than 20 minutes to get food from drive through. Panera has to hire more employees to run their business. Their sandwiches are not that cheap, but service is horrible.
We ordered 2 pick two meals and a grilled cheese and the total was $45. When asked why it cost so much, the guy working the window just shrugged his shoulders and repeated the amount. The food was way overpriced for what we got. We will not be back.
First of all it’s the most unprofessional location of Panera I’ve ever been!! Out of food Out of caramel latte or the machine is not working in a location where is very popular!! And at 10a they are already out of croissants and they wait until I get there to tell me to get my order that they are out of Then I tell them they are out of everything and NO I don’t want to talk to the manager Clearly said I will write a review manangment and staff need to be changed the females are where in the kitchen are just very very unprofessional and just laugh in your face how is that professional and then they are dress with pijamas come on this not oak cliff or south Dallas be PROFESIONAL AND RESPECT the only was good was the Male young boy present.
I got food thru drive through and I ordered online. I got a soup with a bread bowl and a side baguette. When I got to the window they lady told me they had no more bread bowls so they threw in an extra baguette. However i get home and not only was there not an extra baguette the size of my side baguette was just enough for about 2 bites!!! I had worked all day so this is my first meal and this was so upsetting and disappointing I hope they do better next time as this place always seems to mess up my order. I have photos just no clue how to upload!! However the lady at the window was very nice and so were the employees!
I ordered a chicken salad. We were the only people in the restaurant and they got my order wrong. But that was ok. They fixed it. The real problem was the quality of the food. The salad tasted old. The lettuce was low quality but even the fruit in it tasted stale and old. I won’t go back.
Had the worst experience today at this Panera. It was a drive through online order and they had added meat in my vegetarian sandwich. When called to check about the mistake, the person who spoke said thats what i ordered. My order had sliced pepperoncini(which are peppers and not meat). When i explained whats on my order, she said " i didnt make the order' so i dont know. infact we dont even have pepperoni' and proceeds to laugh about it. When i ask to transfer to a manager to escalate on this, she said she is the manager and all she can do is refund. What if this is a life threatening allergy or any other issue because they cant even read an order right!! This is ridiculous..
First, the drive thru person pretty much set the tone of what was to come. So I am not surprised and I should have checked Yelp before I came here. I firmly believe your location is only surviving from residual business from In and Out guests, that don't want to wait, like we did tonight. But, back to the drive thru person. She is the face of your drive thru and she has zero personality and more interested in what's going on with her phone. I still tried to be nice and spoke to her twice, and she literally didn't say ONE word to me. But, let's move on. Second, we ordered the Green Goddess Caprese Melt because it sounded delicious, but upon my wife eating it, she knew something was missing. Upon further examination of the sandwich, it was missing FRESH Basil and the Green Goddess dressing, so I made a u-turn to go back to the location. I spoke with the manager about the long wait and how the sandwich was not made properly. This encounter let me know he doesn't have the customer service gene, as he asked me would I like him to make me a new. Well duh! Did you think I just came back to let you know as a Good Samaritan? And NOTHING above and beyond was offered to kinda apologize for the inconvenience, so of course we won't be back. Also, your Rapid Pick Up area inside the restaurant is an awful idea, as it is unmanaged and allows guest to reach over any and all orders sitting on the counter, but I guess this cuts costs and eliminates the need for order delivery staff. 1.9 stars for this location is pretty accurate. The one star I gave, is for the guy in the orange shirt that was working his hardest to run the HOH, but just couldn't do it all. You're probably going to lose him, as he works too hard, can't do it all and he's trying to support a team that doesn't really care. Good luck, I hope you figure it out.
Very dissatisfied!!! My daughter ordered her favorite the Chicken Green Goddess sandwich. When she received her meal there was no meat, she alerted the staff who was argumentative and insisted she ordered it wrong. We asked for the manager who took 10 minutes to come to the table, she argued the order was placed this way and that we would be charged to add the chicken. The tone by the manager and staff was very unwelcoming we asked for a refund instead. I do not recommend this Panera Bread location, if they mess up your order you have to pay for it.
If I could give no stars I would, I came in for the you pick two 20% off and ordered the chicken green goddess melt and a flatbread pizza I put my order in with the receptionist. Upon receiving the melt I noticed it didn’t have chicken so I let them know and instead of just fixing it the staff was argumentative and had to be escalated to a manager. I never got my sandwich fixed and ended up getting a refund. ( on the receipt it states “ACCURACY MATTERS, your order should be correct every time. If it’s not, we’ll fix it right away and give you a free treat for your trouble. Just let an associate know.” )
Staff is very short and blunt. We got a bowl of chicken noodles, but received a cup size. Barely anything in it but broth. Pretty disappointed with panera. I've ordered a bowl of soup in store before and the cup size I received was not the bowl.
The sandwich felt warm as well as the chili! But I was in for a rude awakening… Well I usually NEVER give a 1 Star rating, but… I stopped by after work to get a classic grill cheese and turkey chili. I was so disappointed to open my bag up to a burned grill cheese! The cheese was NOT melted (smh). The turkey chili had everything except turkey? WOW!!! And the lentils/ beans and carrots were not even thoroughly cooked… well this is my review- I hope it reaches the right people for improvement- Thanks
Usually Panera bread is very good. As it should be when you pay $10 for a salad! I waited 17 minutes from the time I ordered in the drive-thru. For a soup and salad. Once I actually arrived at the window it was 7 minutes before I was even acknowledged. There was 5 employees that I could see and it did not seem as if there was a lot of team work. Once the gentleman opened the window to accept my payment, he did apologize for the long wait and they only had one cook working at the time. I completely understand things happen but management should step in and expedite the process. To top it off my Asian Salad was bland and the sesame dressing was very oily. Summer Corn chowder was decent and I am glad that I ordered it because my dinner would have been ruined and a waste of money. I will not visit this location again.
The only reason I’m giving this Panera location a star is because of the delivery drivers. This location is slow and not accurate with their portions. One time I will get a full cup of their Mac and cheese and another night I will get a half cup. If I’m paying this much for a sandwich and soup/pasta I expect to get the correct portions. They are also incredibly slow. It takes nearly an hour and a half to receive an online order. The poor delivery drivers get over loaded with orders so that by the time my food arrives it’s cold. The delivery drivers are always very helpful and I do not have any issues with them. This location really needs to rethink how they manage their delivery service.
WORST service ever at the Colony Panera in Plano Texas. What manager would not at least have one thermos of coffee available at all times? I raced through traffic around 6pm, entered my credentials in the kiosk only to find there was only hot water available. Manager was Jason. I would have been disappointed but not upset if there were no dark roast but there was NO coffee available period. Having to catch an all night flight I was truly looking forward to grabbing a cup and drove out of my way only to leave empty handed after ringing up my order! The store was not busy and for future reference, there are many coffee shops in the area and lots to choose from. I won't return to this one.
My experiences at this location have rarely ever been positive. They all range from poor customer service, long drive through waits (always 15+mins) and incorrect/sloppy orders. I hate leaving bad reviews but hopefully managment reading this can take this feedback and constructively use it. My most unpleasant experience was placing a large order for pick up (I ordered and paid a day ahead). When I went to go pick up the food their were 3 employees standing just feet away from me behind the counter carrying on personal conversations as if I was not there. None of them greeted me or asked if I was waiting on anything which was disappointing. Anyways when my order was ready I brought it to my meeting only to then realize half of my food was burnt. Needless to say I will no longer be placing catering orders from here anymore. I would save your time and money.
Drive through girl was rude! Seems like most of their staff needs customer service training!
Very rude. The lady with the glasses at to go counter is very slow and treated me very rudely. They are laughing at me and do not pack the order even it’s ready, I feel like very bad to visit this place. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE THEY FEEL LIKE THEY ARE GIVING FREE FOOD.
French ciabiatta dipper had barely any meat compared to my husband Chipotle chicken Avo. Worst sandwich it was only bread
This Panera is always out of something. I have never been able to just place an order and actually get the items I ordered off of the menu in front of my face. Their drinks are always either way over-flavored or completely bland. Their cookies are always slightly burnt. I’ve learned my lesson. No more of this location until it gets new management or something.
I ordered a large pick up order via the app 20 hours ahead of time for an important sales meeting. They completed my order 25 minutes late and with attitude. Not a single apology. When I unpacked my order, some of it was lukewarm and not labeled. They knew I was irritated, but I wasn't rude. The manager did NOT handle the situation well. I pre-paid, and I wish I could take back the tip I added. So disappointed.
Slow drive through, and told us at the end that there were no bread bowls. Could have told me up front because that's exactly why we came there. Quality of the soup was okay, french bread side was decent but they didn't ask what side we wanted out of chips, apple or bread. Docked a star for that. What really took the cake was that the salad had a ton of rotten leaves, the chicken had bones and the fruit tasted stale. Would not order that strawberry poppy chicken salad again. It's rare that I give bad reviews, but being unable to eat my salad made it happen.
