Dependable consistency for almost 25 YEARS! I remember when this restaurant opened. It was well-regarded and popular then and it is well-regarded and popular now. It's an amazing accomplishment in the hospitality industry to maintain a great reputation and dedicated clientele for a quarter century. Kudos to Bluestone ownership and management in this regard! Met with old friends for lunch. We all ordered the Crisfield Stew which is a seafood lover's delight in a savory hot broth. Delicious, served with incredible fresh warm bread. A hearty meal! We had the calamari appetizer which was just so-so. Tiffany our server, was pleasant and mostly on-time. It was Holiday busy and she had a lot to deal with. We will, of course, return.

Ryan took great care of our large group of 12. The crab soup was very good. Goat cheese and arugula salad could have used more dressing but I still ate every bite! Chicken dish was superb and full of flavor. Short rib was tender and delicious. Cris cross cab was smooth. Overall an excellent evening.

Our first visit to Bluestone. Food was good and plentiful. Service was definitely not rushed on a Sunday at 6pm in August and not crowded. After we finished our salads and waited awhile I finally caught our waiter and asked whether rolls were included with the meal to go with the bread plates already on the table. He said that he'd get us some and that it is usually by request. We did not see that noted on any of the menus, he never asked and every other table had been given a basket. We finally received bread (hot) a minute before our entrees were brought out after another long wait. We were very happy with what we ordered and we will visit again.

Great spot for fresh seafood! They usually have good happy hour deals as well so check their website for the latest offerings. Service is great and the ambiance is welcoming and comfortable. Bar is busy and has TVs, dining rooms are elegant yet cozy. I got the two way tuna which was seared perfectly and served over a crab rice.

We went here for a late lunch and I am in love. I had the Crisfield stew which was unbelievable. I highly recommend it. It was delicious. My friend had the chicken and avocado salad, which was amazing. I can’t say enough about the lemon scented asparagus. We also had an amazing waiter. He was so kind.

This was my first visit to Bluestone Restaurant in Timonium, and it definitely won’t be my last! From the outside, the place gives off the look of a seafood house tucked into a business park—but as soon as you step inside, you’re transported somewhere else entirely. The foyer greets you with beautiful artwork and flowers in a cozy seating area, and the entire restaurant is tastefully decorated, including the bar and both dining floors. We had a 1:00 PM reservation and were seated right away. Our servers were warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made our experience even better. The restaurant wasn’t overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy our lunch in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Let’s talk about the food and drinks—amazing. I started with the Strawberry Chocolate Martini—delicious, smooth, and full of flavor. I followed that up with an Espresso Martini, which was equally impressive. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, and I have to say, they were out of this world—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. For my entrée, I had the Seafood Club which came stacked with a perfectly cooked crab cake, crispy bacon, and shrimp salad. I swapped out the fries for the Bacon Brussels Sprouts, and I’m so glad I did—they were a hit! Every dish on our table was beautifully presented and absolutely tasty. To end the meal, I couldn’t resist trying the Key Lime Pie. It was the perfect balance of tart and sweet—so flavorful and the perfect finish to a great dining experience. Overall, Bluestone exceeded my expectations. Beautiful ambiance, fantastic service, and food that hits all the right notes. Five stars all the way! I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.

This was my first time at Bluestone, but it shan't be my last. The atmosphere was classy. I was impressed with the facility. We were there for a retirement party for which we rented/utilized a private space. Our guests were pleased, the food was great, the service was efficient. My guest of honor was pleased and blown away. All of our guests were also impressed. I didn't take many pics, but one of my guests grabbed a picture of their plate.

Food was great, service was good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. If you have not gone, plan to visit with the family or just the two of you.

Always the best service, amazing drinks, and a fantastic menu that is constantly rotating each season. They always have specials throughout the year that I love, such as $1 crab ball Monday’s, restaurant week every Sunday and happy hour year round. The seafood is ALWAYS so fresh. This is a tried and true neighborhood favorite.

Came for happy hour with a huge group. Our server should’ve been helped out, but he did the best he could. Customer service and atmosphere were pretty good. Ordered the: Bang bang shrimp: 10/10 calamari was a surprise. Great sauce. Crab cake bites: 9/10 very good Shrimp flatbread: 8/10 pretty cool safe bet Fried green tomatoes: 10/10 fried well, flavorful 4 Hennessy vsop: $72 2 patron silver: $28 Definitely recommend happy hour prices, everything else seemed a little pricey.

We went to Bluestone for our 27th anniversary on Saturday. This was my 1st time here. My husband has been to work events here. Madison our server was fantastic. She was very personable and didn't rush us. The food tasted delicious. I did take pictures of our appetizers but forgot to take Pictures of our dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful. Very festive for Christmas and very romantic. I would highly recommend it.

We had dinner here for my mom’s birthday. The service is nice, the atmosphere is dim and cozy. Although the crab fried rice is salty, my salmon was perfect. We really enjoyed our time here.

One of the best restaurants in Baltimore. Met a friend here for lunch today and it never been here and he loved it as well! The seared tuna is awesome! I got that for an appetizer and I got the seared scallops for the main. Both were fantastic! Service was good, location is clean, parking is easy. This restaurant checks all of the boxes. Whether you are looking for a place for a casual or business lunch or to take your wife out to a wonderful dinner this place would be hard to beat

Today was My first time experience here was great. The Cream of Crab soup was amazing! the best I've ever had (raked 10). I had the Seafood Bake that was good (ranked 8). My main course was the Ocean and Gulf (ranked 8). The sauce was good but really stood out with the Crab Cake. Overall I would eat here again.

While visiting relatives in Baltimore, we took our hosts to this restaurant for dinner on the night before Thanksgiving. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. For a starter, I ordered the beet salad with mixed greens, goat cheese, hazelnuts, citrus vinaigrette and balsamic glaze. It was delicious, and large enough to share. For an entree, I chose the seafood pasta diavolo. It's the first time I've had a seafood pasta dish that contained more seafood than pasta. The shrimp, lump crab meat, and scallops were covered by a spicy yellow sauce which was not the tomato-forward fra diavolo sauce I was expecting, but it complimented the seafood beautifully. My wife enjoyed her crab cakes with roasted potatoes and vegetables. The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and a leisurely meal. The service was excellent.

Phenomenal dining experience from start to finish. Every detail was thought of. Service by Sydney and Sam was outstanding. They both were so friendly and made our dinner even better. I started with their crab and spinach dip, it was delicious. As a main course, I enjoyed their filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly, and accompanied by asparagus and mashed potatoes. Other members of the party complimented the fish tacos and the ahi tuna. For dessert I indulged in the peanut butter and chocolate mousse. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of my favorite desserts ever! Atmosphere is lovely, and I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal!

We went there for a family lunch. The restaurant was very accommodating for our large party. We had 3 appetizers and all had full meals. The food was all prepared exactly as ordered. The whole experience was fantastic.

My Bestie and I had a phenomenal time at Bluestone. I arrived a tad earlier than my friend, and they allowed me to sit and order to my liking. I appreciated that as I was starving and ready to chow. I ordered muscles, a single crab cake with roasted potatoes and a vegetable medley. It was all cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. My bestie ordered the stuffed flounder with rice and vegetables, and she said her meal was phenomenal. She ordered an alcoholic beverage that wasn't on the menu. However, she insisted that the bar tender was not stingy with the liquor. She said it was good and strong. We both got desserts. The apple crisp and pumpkin spice cheesecake. They threw in an ice cream cup with a candle since we were celebrating her birthday. Dinner was spectacular. The service was top tier. We had Josh! He made sure to check on us the entire time and was very accommodating. The food came out fast. The ambiance was perfect. The bathrooms were spotless. The hostess was super kind and welcoming. The prices were great. The portions were spot on. Not too much, and not too little. My belly was full, and my plate was empty. I had no leftovers. Overall, I'd totally dine with Bluestone again! Highly recommend!

Get together for a party of 4 but my first time at Bluestone. Service was superb. Ordered shrimp tacos with choice of fried, grilled or blackened shrimp and sides. Got the blackened with a side of sweet potato fries. Three tacos deliciously prepared in flour tortilla and nicely seasoned shrimp was quite substantial. Even with lunch time crowd, wait service was prompt.

It is positively amazing from entrance to exit. The service, food quality, atmospher and clean bathrooms! Worth, the money spent and portions are enough for two meals with Restaurant week!

Great restaurant for fine dining! They had a really nice Father's Day special and we got to try the scallops, crab cakes, and stew. The entrees were delicious and the apps we started with, calamari, fried green tomatoes and crab cakes, were also phenomenal - some of the best fried green tomatoes and calamari I've ever had. Service was good and the atmosphere is pleasant. we

I really enjoy this place.Because everything is so nice and it's a really nice restaurant to bring someone to.eally enjoy this place. Because everything is so nice and very calm. We had: Fire cracker salmon-very fresh moist and the herbs were just right Stuffed rockfish- was very tasty with just the right amount of flavor and portion really brought the side together Crab cake were big and delicious I would give it a 4.5/5 cake cake rating bc everyone is alway looking for the the best crab cakes lol

UPDATE 11/1/2024--- after a year without , I was very happy and surprised to see that they just put the lamb burger back on the menu a couple days ago. I think it was even better than it was for my previous review of last year. Also the firecracker shrimp was very good! 3/2023 I had the lamb burger and it was one of the best hamburgers I've ever had in my life!

Hands down, top 10 on my list. The crab creamy soup was the best crab soup I have ever had. Came with a crazy amount of crab in it. No potatoes, just tons of crab. We got the octopus appetizer with the seasoned olive oil. The octopus was so tender. All the food, drinks and desserts were just outstanding. If I could find one thing slightly bad thing... no lattes, just coffee. If you can call that bad.

We had a great experience at BlueStone largely because of the manager Trishia. She is amazing! Our food was not quite as we preferred but she came out and made sure that we would enjoy our experience. She had the kitchen prepare us another dish to our satisfaction. I appreciated Trishia’s professionalism and kind attitude so much. It’s clear why Trishia is in management. Her leadership should be an example to other managers that work for the company. Thank you again Trishia for being the best of the best!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner/welcome drinks at Bluestone and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Lauren was such a joy to work with - she was so sweet, organized, and attentive to every detail to make sure the night was perfect. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and kept everything running smoothly. The food was phenomenal! We had a buffet, and from the appetizers to the main courses, everything was outstanding. The beef tenderloin and crabcakes were unforgettable - our guests are still talking about them a month later! We’ve always loved dining at Bluestone, but they completely exceeded our expectations hosting our event. The Terrace Room was gorgeous, and the entire evening was seamless. We’ll absolutely be using them again in the future!

We had a fantastic experience at Bluestone. Omarion is an amazing server. Between our party of four we had the stuffed flounder, crabcakes, beef short ribs, rockfish, crab fried rice, key lime pie and a graham cracker flavored ice cream and everything was so good! This was our first time coming but definitely won't be our last.

We LOVE celebrating here or just as a night out. Our whole family always enjoys the food. It is truly amazing! The service has always been great as well as the atmosphere. Will definitely keep coming back again and again!!

I've been to this restaurant about a half dozen times. The food is great as is the service. It can get kind of loud here and hard to hear those you are with, but they get a little pass on that with the high ceilings. Their Crisfield Stew is outstanding! In fact, it's the only dish I have ever gotten. That's rare for me as I like to try different dishes, but I also like to eat stews and soups that are full meals and the Crisfield Stew does that for me. Desserts are also good here and very tasty. Reservations are a must here, especially at night. I love eating here and can't say enough about it. Highly recommend a visit here and I can't wait until I come back again in the near future.

Menu did not mark what was gluten free, but staff were very knowledgeable about what contained gluten and what could be substituted to meet our needs. They basically said "What menu? What do you want to eat?" I love that level of knowledge and working with the customer to meet everyone's needs.

We came here to celebrate my sons birthday. Aesthetically beautiful on the inside with numerous rooms. We sat in the bar area with multiple tvs to observe. We loved the appetizers we got. It took a little bit to get our entrees but once we all got them they were awesome. Management was present and more than accommodating and service was attentive and friendly. They took exceptional care of us.

I haven't been to Bluestone in many years. I had a great experience. The staff were friendly and professional. There are a few seating options. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer and I was surprised at the big portion. I tried the pork porter house (pork chop) and it was excellent.

Tried something new to go with my fried green tomatoes which I've had before. I had the bluestone salad and seafood bowl. The seafood bowl was like crab dip with shrimp. I enjoyed my meal. My mom had fried oysters and corn chowder soup. It was ok, she was more disappointed that they had removed the cocktail she enjoyed before.. "I can't find my sandals"

Took my husband for his birthday which I put in the reservation. We have been coming here for years. The food was amazing as expected but the service from our waitress was very slow. She never mentioned the birthday or asked if we were there for an occasion. I waited so long for her to come after my food was served just to get shredded parmesean that my husband was done eating before I received it. It was a busy night but we paid like everyone else and expected better service. After 16 years of coming we will have to switch up our tradition.

Really enjoyed the restaurant. Only the food was a little bit salty. Loved the appitizers and the salad. Had the ocean and. Gulf entree. I will be back but will ask for less salt in my selection. Prices were good. Our waiter was very attentive. We could hear each other's conversations.

Upon entering this establishment we were met by three girls talking they looked at us and turned back around to talk. My boyfriend spoke first saying hi can we have a table for 4 and no one responded and a girl just waved for us to follow her. It took over ten minutes to get introduced to our server. He barely checked on us thru the time of our dinner. The service was subpar to say the least. We waited for about 25-30 mins between each thing that was ordered. Our waiter did explain specials and the menu but took a while To ask if we were ready to order. I ordered the Caesar salad lamb chops medium and crème brûlée from the three course menu. Two of the lamb chops were medium one was rare which I can’t eat at the moment due to being pregnant. The entree was flavorful and I would’ve throughly enjoyed it if all three of my lamb chops came cooked properly. The Caesar salad was dry. My cranberry fizz non alcoholic drink was overwhelmed by too much ginger beer. Dessert was ok creame brûlée was good nothing special. And the chocolate mousse my boyfriend ordered was bitter. My boyfriend used the restrooms and witness more than one staff member leave without washing their hands. I don’t think I would come back here.

The Crab spinach dip was amazing, our serve Gracie was also very kind and personable. I had the Chicken Franncaise and the presentation was amazing but had absolutely no flavor The salmon option was better but not by much. The crab soup also had no flavor and was very much watered down. The key lime pie was great the creme Bru wasn't. Everything was a hit or miss

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but lately the food has not been as spectacular. I've asked friends who loved it here too and all of them have noticed the difference. The quality and quantity of the meals are simply average now. The cream of crab soup was once hearty and loaded with crabmeat. Now its thinner, but tastes like flour. This has been my experience the past three times I was there. I kept trying it because I thought it may have been a bad batch. The crab cakes no longer have lumps throughout. And, sometimes the bar drinks taste a little watered down - you'd better ask for no ice. The servers are not as happy as they once were. The atmosphere which was very friendly has become much like the current vibe of the world - unwelcoming, and stand offish. Too many patrons gazing as if a table of Black women should not be there. Yes, we have decent incomes, too and can afford to eat in restaurants. Geeesh... the environment is not as warm.

Service was slow and inconsistent. Justice tried her best. Eventually, she had reinforcements. We had the private dining room for 18. We had the lunch menu, which was thin. They were extremely busy overall. So, I will give them a pass this time.

We are back for a new review. Bluestone is a hit or miss. This last time was a miss again. This may be our last visit. Note: I visit this restaurant regularly. We ordered crab balls, tacos, cheesesteak rolls and salmon entree. How did everything come out at the same time? Three of the four items were appetizers. The waitress said she misunderstood. It’s no way you misunderstood that appetizers come out before the entrees.

Worst experience to date! Bluestone has been our 'go-to' for many years now...but tonite, everything was off!!! It's our Anniversary, so we figured we'd stop by for a low-key dinner. We were pretty much ignored for about 10 minutes...so much so that the manager stepped in to help our server. Ordered drinks and salad...always good..then something shifted. the waitress took forever to come back, though we kept seeing her in different areas of the restaurant. Asked for a steak knife for and was handed a butterknife twice by a different 'server'. he looked to be 14 years old. By the time she dropped off our food, a substantial time had passed. I'm all for letting a steak rest, but this one sat around way too long. It arrived basically cold. Of course it took the waitress a very long time to show up again. once I told her that the $54 steak was cold, she asked me if she should put it back on the grill????? Of course I declined and now had to wait more than 20 minutes for a box to take food home and for the check!!! Waitress kept ignoring us. So much for a nice Anniversary dinner. Wife's Salmon was very undercooked. So very disappointed in the service that we will take a long break from visiting the Bluestone for a while!!!! As you can see in the pic..the butter that was supposed to melt, is still very visible once the steak arrived at our house..smh. PLEASE do Better!!!!

With much happy anticipation I visited Bluestone, with 2 of my grandchildren yesterday. My Granddaughters and my chicken tenders were only okay; except for the gristle. The French onion soup was ghastly…tasted like packaged powdered…all SALT and awful “flavor”? I feel sorry for the sweet waitress…she was very efficient; what a shame she is working in an understaffed 2 star restaurant.

First time dining at Bluestone. I was excited to try based on the reviews. The dining room is pretty cold, but not offensively so. As I got to the end of my meal, I found a small blue marble hidden in my Brussels sprouts. At first, I thought it was a blueberry, but soon noticed that it was actually a small glass marble. I brought it to the server’s attention and she quickly ran it back to the kitchen. The manager came out after a while and seemed accusatory towards me, and stated that he had no explanation and hadn’t seen anything like this in his 10 years in the restaurant business. I felt like he was being dismissive of my situation. Also, really not willing to take any responsibility for the issue. He offered a halfhearted apology and comped my entree 50%. I certainly wasn’t looking for any compensation, but I didn’t appreciate the cold response by the manager and didn’t feel like they genuinely cared that much about me having glass in my meal. I think I will skip this place in the future.

Stopped by for lunch as I had loved this restaurant at a previous visit, and was very disappointed by the experience. My sister had the mini crab cakes and sweet potato fries which were both very good. My salmon salad on the other hand was very underwhelming, with a limp lettuce mixture underneath a small (but good tasting) piece of fish. I showed the manager the salad. He looked confused but agreed to tell the kitchen. There was no offer to replace it, and when the check came no compensation. After my sister complained to the waitress, she said she can't do anything and offered a free dessert which we declined. They then came back and reconsidered the check with a $3 discount. Each step of the way they had a chance to improve our experience and failed. We won't be back.

We were here 12 years ago and had a good lunch. Yesterday, my husband brought me to the old place but we are disappointed. The restaurant was remodeled not in a way we personally like. the old one was rather spacious, with natural democrations and very post-modern style, now, mundane, very mundane. The entrance was blocked by the back of a stair, making the entrance small and narrow. The space was separated by blocks, with cheap decorations. The worse part is the food. The bread was under made. We asked to replace it, and the new one is still under made (I left this as a reminder in the receipt). Waitors in general not look happy. Maybe the working environment? I ordered a stew, it looks good but the shrimp and fish meat were over-cooked and there are many big potatos to fill the bow. My husband ordered a two-way tuna, which is better than mine. However, his dish came with relatively cold rice. Don't know why it came cold. The only good thing is the good memory and you are still with someone you love. But we will not come back.

T
Tee

I was really disappointed with my experience here yesterday. Our group spent close to $700, so expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the food came out cold and overcooked, which completely took away from the experience. Dishes that should have been flavorful and well-prepared were dry and lacked care, and several plates had to be pushed aside and sent back because they were simply unenjoyable. For a restaurant charging premium prices, basic things like proper temperature and cooking should be a given. This was meant to be a special outing, but it ended up feeling like a huge waste of money. I truly hope management takes feedback like this seriously, because at this cost, the quality should match the bill.
