Prima volta in questo scottish pub. Esperienza decisamente positiva anche se qualche punto di miglioramento c'è, come la gestione della coda d'ingresso. La scelta delle birre è decisamente interessante e valida anche se inserire qualche birra artigianale e più "British" non guasterebbe. Ma nel complesso ne vale decisamente pena.

Not central, but a great pub with good food and a good selection of drinks. Often loud inside, but air conditioning is present and the place is big so you can usually find a table. Prices are ok for what you are served and there is also a good selection of hamburgers and drinks different from beer. The whole place is decorated with Sean Connery movie posters.

Sono venuto in questo locale con la mia compagna ed una coppia di amici, spinti dalla curiosità di provarlo. È un elegante pub dedicato ad un vero mito del cinema, il grande Sean Connery, una responsabilità notevole assunta a pieno merito dal proprietario. Il menù è molto vario, per tutti gli appetiti e c’è un ottimo assortimento anche sulle pietanze vegane. Da grande estimatore del film: “Gli Intoccabili”, non potevo non rendere omaggio a questo capolavoro storico della cinematografia di tutti i tempi ed ho voluto provare il primo piatto dallo stesso titolo: si tratta di pennette succulente per veri goderecci, letteralmente avvolte dal condimento ottimo e abbondante, proprio come piace a me. Molto buone e ben presentate, anche le uova con la salsa Connery e i panini scelti dagli altri, altrettanto graditi. Per quel che si spende, per il livello qualitativo delle specialità offerte e per il tipo di locale, sarebbe troppo sprecato venire a mangiare soltanto un panino o delle patatine, bere una birra al bancone o sedersi fuori e si rischierebbe addirittura di rimanerne delusi; personalmente per come la concepisco, questo pub andrebbe vissuto come un ristorante, cogliendone tutti i pregi: accomodandosi all’interno, magari su uno dei comodi divanetti ed assaporando le portate più gustose, in tutta tranquillità. Il servizio è sempre all’altezza e c’è una buona cura per la pulizia. Il prezzo abbastanza alto per alcune voci basic del menù e le patatine fritte non particolarmente appetitose, tolgono a malincuore una stella sul giudizio finale ma, ovviamente, si può sempre migliorare.

Ottimo pub, buon cibo e tante varietà di birra, staff gentile e accogliente e bella atmosfera in generale. Toilette pulita, che in un pub non è scontato. Grande varietà di whisky serviti con cioccolato, uvetta e noci. Se le porzioni fossero più abbondanti darei 5 stelle.🤩

Pub in stile scozzese. Ottima birra spillata dal bancone centrale. Cucina con specialità scozzesi. Servizio ottimo con personale cortese e veloce. Prezzi un pò sopra al normale. È molto frequentato, per cui meglio prenotare o avere pazienza che si liberi un tavolo. Originali le foto ed i ricordi di Sean connery

A traditional pub with a tasteful interior and reasonably attentive and friendly staff. The entrance is a little cramped. We hadn't booked and waited 20 minutes for a table on a packed night. So, I recommend making a reservation. I really enjoyed the Brooklyn Pilsner. Recommended.

Beer, beer, and more beer... Excellent quality, served alongside simple yet tasty dishes, perfectly suited to the type of place. It's a pub, not a restaurant! While there's plenty of seating (inside, outside, and even a smoking area), I recommend booking. The owner is extremely friendly, and the staff is courteous and helpful. Perfect for aperitifs and dinner, remembering that beer is king. We'll be back in the winter to try other dishes and enjoy more beers (always ice-cold!)

Entrare nel pub Connery è come ritrovarsi in scozia. Il nostro tavolo è stato deludente nonostante avessi prenotato . Il cibo mi ha deluso . Sembrava tutto scaldato . Non è piaciuto nulla. Le birre invece buonissime. Siamo rimasti delusi. Peccato.

My high expectations were only partially confirmed. The staff isn't knowledgeable about the beers and food. The beers aren't always on the menu; they rotate: either you write it down or mention it when you bring the menus; you don't wait for my order to organize a treasure hunt to see which ones are available and which aren't. There are some interesting dishes on the menu, but overall, it's a classic beer bar menu.

I am quite careful about the quality of the food, so I order a burger with Fassona meat. The waitress brings a a dish with a burger patty, chips and salad, but no buns or any other bread. I am not used to getting a burger with no bun or bread, but I guess in Italy that’s how it might be done, so I ask the waitress if I can get bred with it. She takes away the plate and disappears. As it is taking a while I ask her what is going on, I just wanted some bred to go with it, I say - she tells me they need to redo it from scratch. Her attitude is quite dismissive and there is no chance to get an explanation or clarify. After a LONG wait, I get a sandwich with a patty inside. The chips and salad have disappeared. My patience for waiting is exhausted so I eat it. I will realise later that the meat was not Fassona. I understand that mistakes happen (even though the waitress attitude might need an upgrade), so when I approach the manager at the till I simply mention the misunderstanding. That’s when I am hit with a very annoying response, when the manager explains to me the menu and what the different options are, and tells what I ordered. There is no way to get this man to understand or acknowledge THEY made a mistake, and that I know what I ordered because I can read. Conclusion: extremely annoying attitude from staff and manager, I will definitely avoid this place forever.

We were invited to go outside after booking and after we complained that the table was too small to eat at. As soon as we entered, we found ourselves seated at the wrong table, a nice large one, but after a few minutes they moved us to a tiny table with high stools instead of normal chairs and a wall on one side. If you expect three people to eat at a 1m x 1m table, then you don't understand anything and I'd rather stay home or find another pub. I asked the waitress if they had a more suitable table for eating and we were told that they don't have any other tables and that this one is suitable for three people. To this I replied that my review will also be proportionate to the seating arrangement, which we rightly have. After 30 seconds, the owner came over and invited us outside with a nice, smiling face. Too bad, I went after the episode of the 4 restaurants, I even liked the owner... it was all superficial. If you find yourself in these situations, why not ask those who book if they want to eat and seat them at slightly more comfortable tables if you don't want to make a fool of yourself? I would like to remind the owner that it is illegal to refuse to serve a customer unless there is a valid reason. We were polite and didn't cause any problems, but he deserved it because that's not how you treat customers and people. There's no point in having 40 years in the restaurant business if you don't know how to handle unpleasant situations. Times change and improve, and you have to keep up. Excerpt from the law confirming that refusing to serve a customer in a public establishment is prohibited: Article 187 of the Criminal Procedure Code (TULPS), administrative fine ranging from €516 to €3,098. Except as provided for in Articles 689 and 691 of the Criminal Code, business owners may not, without a legitimate reason, refuse to serve their business to anyone who asks for it and pays the price. I will do everything I can to prevent my acquaintances from going to such a rude pub.
