Recensioni di Tap Society Torrance
Torrance is known for its breweries. There's at least 7 well known breweries in a 3-4 mile area..Hop Saint is our go to. The beers are great, well balanced and flavourful. My wife doesn't drink beer, so she loves the ciders(when on draft) or the canned seltzer. But the food is what makes this place amazing..everything on the menu is great. From their backyard smoked BBQ, to the pulled pork and berry drizzle flat bread. Their food is awsome. Always find out what the specials are, the Cubano and pastrami can't be beat. This place has great drink, great food and great service..its a must try.
I ordered something that was a little “off”. I can’t really explain it. When the waitress asked me how it was, I gave a “it’s fine”, but she could read right through me. She insisted I get something else so I ordered the burger which was outstanding. The manager then came by to ensure everything was ok. This service is so rare and appreciated. The server could have easily taken my answer and moved on, but she took that extra moment to make it right. Wonderful experience.
This is one of my favorite neighborhood places. Went there last week for their burnt-end steak chili which is a Sunday night special which they sometimes have during the week. As usual it was awesome. The portions at HopSaint are generous and allow for sharing or leftovers. I've never had a bad meal or bad takeout from there. Glad they survived the pandemic. I also enjoy their beers especially their seasonal offerings. My only wish is they'd be open later on weekends but as a brewery they might have restrictions?
This is the best brewery with food in the area. Great selection of local beers, kombucha, cider, wine. No mixed drinks. And the food is solid. It's hard to go wrong. Appetizers, mains, and desserts. It's kid friendly. NOT pup friendly. Big tables that you can share with old friends or make new friends. We like sitting at the bar.
Glad I found this Brewery. I Stumbled upon this tasty spot since my intended destination didnt open for another 30 mins. I was able to taste 5 beers and all were excellent! The food was equally great. What a surprisingly unique menu for a pub. It is definitely not your typical bar food. Since i love to smoke meat at home, I especially appreciated the extra mile they go with the smoked meats on the menu. The salads looked fantastic too.
Absolutely wonderful and yummy. Food was so delicious and, of course, an assortment of prize-winning beers. Our waitress Randy was so fun. She had such a great sense of customer service and new everything about the menus. Top notch...
This place is great! The staff is super friendly and perfectly attentive. We ordered several of the days specials and everything was delicious. The shrimp with the added pasta was *yum* with shrimp cooked just right. I'm not a local but will be back next time I'm in town.
Top notch food. My wife is originally from Louisiana and says saint is more authentic southern fare than any other South Bay choice. Their own brews are improving. Id say better than average. Guests taps vary...sometimes great, sometimes not so but also are on the upswing. Very underrated.
Fantastic craft beers and super friendly staff, with a small selection of guest brews as well. Love that this brewery has a kitchen (lots of local craft breweries don't), and the food is great. BBQ Carnitas special is awesome, and their flatbreads are very good as well. Only thing I wish was different was longer opening hours, but can't blame them for that. Highly-recommended spot.
Well we had a beer! (Did I just type that). Also some delicious food. We have been coming here since they open. The staff is friendly and happy 😊. Now you're wondering what we eat...don't worry, everything is freshly made and the sauces are out of this world. Full meals or Craft Beer and appetizers, you won't be disappointed. No pictures because I was hungry and we eat everything before I could pull out my phone...enjoy.
A modern, clean pub. Definitely a cut above the warehouse breweries in Torrance - not that there’s anything wrong with those, this is just a proper brewpub. The staff are super friendly and knowledgable, the beer is great. As for food, we’ve only had a bunch of beer snacks but they were all very good. The place is a little pricier than other breweries in the area (beers start at $7) but the overall experience is worth it.
Love this spot. Killer shrimp is epic.(order extra bread) Ribs pop with fennel and what I think is honey. Breakfast burrito A+. Deviled eggs= devilishly good. Brewery makes beer that goes well with Garth brooks friends in low places. Try it for yourself. :-)
My wife and my favorite spot for a casual date night. Some of the best BBQ we've ever has (and we've been all over the South and Texas). Definitely try the short rib if it's on the daily special. And we get the deviled eggs EVERY time we go. Great beer -- try the Perpetual if you like IPAs.
Adventurous beers, and creative food. Had the catfish po boy, the Heritage ESB and the Kolsch Enough. Also tried a bite of the bean soup, with kale the base of which was fat back-tasty, and I hate Kale. Server was perfect, amazing even: well done Emily. Couldn't decide between 4 and 5 stars, service carried the day. Photos @angelaelisabethportraits Angela Elisabeth portraits
We're visiting from out of state and if we could eat here every day, we would. A great place with great beer and food. Staff are friendly and attentive.
The staff and owner are so passionate about their business and it shows. Don’t go without trying the cornbread for
We love this place! Always very friendly and chilled atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed and wanting to stay for more brews ;) Alpha and Lala are the best!! They’re so much fun! They’re always warm, energetic, super friendly and sweet! Dinner and beer is not the same without these two beautiful ladies <3
Went today for Mother’s Day around 1 PM and the place was actually able to accommodate us, the food was fantastic, we each ate something different and everyone enjoyed their dish, which I will say in our family, does not happen often. The bbq meats are outstanding and super moist, the service was also outstanding, we each had a beer, the only thing I wished was that they had sangria since they do serve wine, but other than that it was fabulous. Can’t wait to go back very soon! Place for pretty packed as we left, so apparently they have a very loyal following
Came here after work with some coworkers on a Thursday night, and we had a great time! There are some very unique beers to try. I had the Pure Intention and the Chocolate Porter, both of which were excellent. We got a bunch of food to share at the table, including the bacon belly bites, roasted brussel sprouts, and the smoked brisket. Everything was delicious, especially the brisket. I thought the prices were fair considering the quality and quantity of the food. The servers were very friendly as well. I’ll definitely have to come back again to try out some more beers and bites!
Always love coming here. Best southern food in Socal. This place deserves the awards it has won. The staff is always entertaining and friendly. This is my go-to place when I crave southern food!!
Ate here twice during a recent trip to visit family and both meals were terrific. I had the hanger steak salad and the pork back ribs and both dishes were delicious. I had the burnt ends chili (available on Sundays only) during a previous trip and it was amazing! Their beers are solid as solid as their food. Check this place out the next time you're in the area. It's a can't miss for me!
One of my favorite places for lunch. The beer has never disappointed. Always ask for the lunch specials. Their salads are little more upscaled than most places. I got the delicious pastrami sandwich and found out they smoke the pastrami in-house. Good chill vibe.
Diverse menu, great staff and the quality of the food is outstanding! The restaurant offers excellent beer options and the dessert is always delicious.
Best Smoked BBQ in the South Bay. Most perfectly curated brewery taps (most brewed on the premises, and a few fabulous guest taps.) Comfortable wine selection for non-beer drinkers. Daily Menu specials further brighten a spectacular eating experience. Pulled Pork Po'boy and BBQ Pork short ribs and 2 of my many favorites. Great plates to share, too. Friendly professional service, super-knowledgeable about food and beers. Highly recommended!
Great beer and even better food. I've come by a handful of times and it has a great vibe here. They have such great pairings with the beer here. It's kind of a hidden gem because not a lot of people talk about this place. They have plenty of parking here. Never have to wait too long for a table. I've ordered the mushroom flatbread here and it's a must every time I come here. The burgers and mac n cheese here is really delicious. They have rotating beers on tap and I really dig this place a lot. I like to start with a flight to get my beer tastes going then I will order my round of beers. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I come here pretty often and always look forward to it.
Great atmosphere!!! Staff is welcoming. And the food, chef is a gem great flavors mixed that is creative never boring. Haven't had anything that I didn't like. And the cedar beer is great for me. Relaxing too.
I was visiting from Utah and my friend suggested we stopped here.Amazing place for food and specially , beers.Their Lagers are simply superb , with one of the best taste. The food was also great and service top notch.I was very , very surprise to find such a quality micro brewery in Torrance and I can totally recommend it for food and great tasting beers.Ambiance is also very good.5 stars place !
this place was packed when we got here after a friend recommended. Staff was friendly and prompt. The food and drinks were so good. We ordered the hopsaint burger, pesto flatbread and beer and everything was outstanding. The burger was the best burger I've ever had and the beer was one of the best. The flatbread was verygood.
Been here a couple of times and loved it. The food is really good and the beer they brew there are all pretty awesome. Good variety. Good quality selection of beers from other places too. Location is easy to get to. Staff is great and they know their stuff. Love the ambience. Definitely gonna be a place I frequent.
Had the Jambalaya which was excellent, as well as a couple tasters. The Pure Intention was absolutely wonderful. One of the best brews I’ve had. If it had no other beers this place would still be worth going to. My second favorite was the chocolate trip. They make good nitro’s which is somewhat rare these days. I would recommend this place for lunch, or with the large bar a place to hang late night .
Hopsaint Brewing quite arguably brews the best pale ale on the planet.......thank you for this gift. Service was great and the food is on par with this brewers beer. My wife had a beer flight and I had the pale ale while we waited for our food to arrive. The torn potato’s are addictive, the Mac and cheese was creamy and paired perfectly with the pale ale. The pork ribs transported me to the deep South somewhere between Georgia and Alabama. Great job all around. Thank you
The food here is fantastic. Better than that it is consistent. Every time I come I know what to expect, my order is going to be cooked to perfection with lots of flavor. The servers are always knowledgeable about the standards, the specials, and what's on tap. Definitely a go to for me when I don't want to be disappointed. The vibe is very low key and the crowd is appropriate for anyone.
The food here is excellent, everything we got was great (I got brisket). A little loud, but service and food were
Service was excellent, we was warmly greeted and seated quickly after coming . I ordered the the key lime tart (sour) beer and the lager, which both was excellent. I had the bbq plate which came with chicken , andouille sausage, and brisket which I enjoyed. I got to sample the Chinese chicken salad picking off my wife’s plate and the mac & cheese from my grandsons plate, and both were really good. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and bringing friends.
we’ve been going here for years before we moved and Hop saint was always our go-too! The best staff and atmosphere ever plus the food is always great and you cannot miss out on their desserts
Would highly recommend if you’ve never eaten here to give it a go. On the surface, being located in a strip mall with other shops (ie smaller footprint location) and being marketed as a brewery might indicate the food might be mid. But you won’t find that here. Came in for dinner service Friday evening. First thing I noticed was that there were many locals, and lots of families w their children. Service was friendly and attentive. Waits weren’t too long but would suggest budgeting 30 min for the wait to grab a table. The interior is snug, and felt a bit stuffy with it being so busy. That aside. Tried a variety of dishes and they were all high quality and delightful. The chili is S-tier and I highly recommend. For drinkers, the brewery offers up plenty of styles. Definitely can see this place being part of a rotation!
Pretty good food. Was a chill vibe. I liked how we had separate people take our order, bring our food, and clear our table. I liked that dynamic. Everything ran smooth and food came out hella fast. Brussel sprouts were really good and really smokey. We also got the shrimp pasta thing and it was super flavorful. Good to share. A smaller place so expect a wait unless your good to sit outside.
First time visitors from out of town, and all I can say, I wish we had one of these at home. Fresh craft beer and seltzers, excellent food and top shelf service. I highly recommend HopSaint Brewing to anyone on the fence.
This little corner gem is amazing. My nail shop is next door and I've never been here before until today. It smells so amazing and the food did not disappoint. Our server Jasmine suggested some dishes and we are so glad we listened. We were able to share and try a little of everything. The balsamic strawberry salad was so refreshing. The house killer shrimp was so saucy and flavorful. Highly suggest trying this plate. The brisket and the braised short rib was so juicy and it melts in your mouth. Looking forward to my next visit. So spacious and they make their own beer. Everything was on point.
If you haven’t already had the opportunity, this spot is a must try! Upon walking in, the ambiance was noticeably warm and inviting. After trying the Killer Shrimp appetizer, it became clear that the chefs know what they’re doing. The incredible depth of flavor was truly special with every dish. Aside from the amazing food, Madeleine and Christina left a remarkably positive impression on my experience as well. I'll definitely be back!
For an early birthday celebration, my wife and daughter took me to one of her favorite spots in Torrance to enjoy some good beers and food. They kept the beers flowing and I enjoyed every sip. The food was heavenly and came out promptly with little delay. The atmosphere is freely and they had upbeat music playing to you. An vibe to; which also enhanced the experience. Very affordable and a spot you can go to when trying to stay local while also enjoying an afternoon out. I will definitely be back.
Pretty cool brewery. Good rotation and variety of beers. They offer lots of food. Didn’t try their BBQ but had a flatbread which was great. Cool vibe, lots of seating, and friendly service. A great neighborhood joint!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Not only the beer but also the food is so delicious. This evening, we started with the killer shrimp which all my friends like and then wild mushroom flatbread, roasted seasonal vegetables, and house smoked salmon salad. There were a lot of food for three of us. For the beer, I like “Pure Intention”. Next time, we’d like to try something different.
Wow! We made a last minute stop to this brewery based on the photos we had seen online and can’t even tell you how happy we are that we did! Jackie was our server and was PHENOMENAL! I’m not much of a beer husband, unlike my husband, but was so kind and helpful and even brought over some samplers to try to help find one that I liked! Hubby loved the beer! And wow! The food! Absolutely wonderful! We lived in Texas, experiencing the best bbq in the country and have to say this place was solid! We got the brisket plate and asked for fatty brisket which was cooked to perfection! Moist, juicy, fall apart and great bark. Didn’t have alllll the smoke flavor like traditional pit in Texas, but damn they are freaken solid and would send everyone here who’s looking to experience some top notch bbq! Plus Jackie (without asking) had them cut the belly burger in 1/3 since we were all sharing and it came out looking epic sliced! Way better then we would have cut it! The roasted veggies were solid and the flatbread was also next level! Great crunch, nice flavor, still some fluff on the outer edge of the crust and a lovely cilantro dressing. HIGHLY recommend checking this place out for food, service and beer! We would definitely come back!!
The brisket chili is great! The burgers are large and look very juicy and the selection of award winning craft beers are delicious. Excellent service and atmosphere with lots of parking. Highly recommended. Thank you.
Solid food and great selection of in-house beer with some wine and non-alcoholic beverages, too. Brisket was tender and flavorful. The smoked chili was tasty and the brussel sprouts were another solid side dish. Service was friendly and attentive — Alpha was wonderful to us! Will come back next time for the killer shrimp and see what else is in store!
Great place and very kind people. I got a quick service. The place is cozy and great.
We had to make a quick stop at the local 99 cent store. Hungry and wanted to eat a meal, HopSaint was right next door. After a quick review online, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. We were greeted when we arrived, and seated quickly. The ambiance was great and the restaurant was decorated and somewhat reminded us of a bowling alley. Our waiter and host was friendly, efficient and overall pleasant to interact with. We decided to try the andouille sausage as an appetizer, the braised short rib, brisket and the signature Burger. We were kind of surprised that the menu was more of a creole BBQ mix up with flatbreads. Their house made lemonade was simply delicious and fresh. We tried the flight sample of four of their beers and the Brown on Brown was the best. The burger was fresh and made to perfection, simply one of the best burgers we ever had. The brisket was smoked and was overall good but could have been more flavor profile there. The braised short rib was the best out of all three that we tried as it was tender, smoked and the grits with cheese was a great addition. Their signature dessert, brownie with marshmallow topping was great, and gooey. A great first time experience. Will definitely be repeat customers as they have other items on the menu that also interests us like the killer shrimp and duck and mushroom gumbo. It is a must try if you're in the area. Prices were on point and inexpensive on many levels and overall a great date night place.
Had brunch here and ate outside on their patio. The staff was really friendly and the food was delicious! I had the breakfast burrito and my friend had shrimp and grits. The burrito had guacamole that was made with fresh avocado and had big avocado chunks. So good. The salsa it came with was good too. We were both happy with what we ordered. I want to go back for dinner sometime to try that as well.

A wonderful experience, great beers especially for those looking for IPA styles. Nice indoor decor, friendly and helpful service. Jackie was a great server and would love to return on my next trip.

Ask for their tart or orange peel beer! To die for! Best food and dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Shout out to Erik, their crew of cooks, and I forgot the other guys name but everyone there was fantastic!
Worked in the South Bay for awhile in 2019 and loved this place. Food is amazing and a great local vibe. Haven't been back since before COVID.
I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Randi for the outstanding service she consistently provides. I've been coming to HopSaint since it first opened, and every time I visit, Randi makes the experience memorable. She always remembers exactly what I like to order, and her friendly, attentive attitude truly makes each visit special. It’s rare to find someone who consistently goes above and beyond like she does. HopSaint is already one of my favorite spots, and Randi is a big part of why I keep coming back. Just wanted to say thanks—and give her the recognition she deserves!

First of all this place is awesome with great beer, good food and friendly staff. The only thing that keeps me from giving a five star rating is price! With their signature hamburger being $15 you can get an idea how fast your bill runs up. I will and have recommended Hop Saint to family and friends but I do warn of the price. With all that said, I will be back it just won't be as frequent as if it were a little easier on my pocket book!
Beers were tasty and abundant, a lot of variety on tap but they were out of some canned items when we visited. Decent prices for meals and beers. The burnt ends chili was so good! Best item to get if you're there on the weekend.
This is a great local joint for fresh beer, brewed right in the back! One of my favorite parts of this restaurant is their food and especially their farm to table concept. They claim to buy from local farm growers and provide to fresh food directly to consumers such as myself. I had the opportunity to eat the duck gumbo, hearty and flavorful. The duck meat seemed to have been braised for hours since it pretty much melts in my mouth. I also had a sampling of ribs. The ribs tasted similar to that of the duck, both smoked in a similar manner, at least according to my taste buds. The key lime pie was not a typical one, it was orange in color and circular in shape with dried fruit on top. It wasn't too heavy and tasted light and fluffy. I definitely recommend this dessert! I also had the brownie, which was baked inside a marshmallow? The brownie was straight from the oven and not too sweet with some parts oozing of chocolate. Prices are fair, service is excellent, and parking is plentiful. The only thing is the ambiance, it was difficult to talk and hear, not baby equipped for those with little ones. Also, the tables are very long, I shared a table with another couple, even though plenty of space between us. Looking forward to coming back soon.
This place does a relatively decent Cajun cuisine, which is rare on the west coast. We had the catfish and the chili, which are both amazing, and they have a very good local beer selection.
The chili was amazing. The only thing I didn't care for is how my cornbread had little pieces of onion in it. I wasn't expecting that and it threw me off lol. My daughter ended up taking my chili because she didn't like her macaroni and cheese. To be honest, I didn't care too much for it either. I think its whatever type of cheese they used. My boyfriend had a burrito. It was pretty basic and kinda bland. Beer was good. I had the chocolate one.
Great decor, service and beer. The food was only ok… Excellent beer selection! The menu was very impressive but fell short. Positives were the Brussels sprouts and the bacon Mac and cheese. Meh were the amazing sounding short rib marinated in tomatillo over grits and the chicken and shrimp jambalaya. Both lacked flavor? The short rib lacked acidity and the jambalaya was over seasoned with cayenne. I wouldn’t re order.
If your looking for brews and bbq then definitely check out this gem in Torrance! They have plenty of local brews and southern style food that stands out against the LA scene. Plenty of free parking too! Sunday's special is the Burnt Ends Chili, which is full of brisket bits and flavor with a corn bread on the side. Highly recommend! We also got the Catfish Poboy with slaw. It was pretty good too and tasty. The beer here is really good too. You can get a flight or a regular pint. They also have beers to go so that you can bring some home!
First off this is a pretty nice brewery, small but well maintained. Got a flight and the beers were pretty good, the service was very awesome as well, and the food looked good even tho I wasn’t hungry but the people next to me had great plates so definitely try the food next time but other than that it was a pretty good experience here.
Cool space inside, I love beer and I'm always exploring local breweries when I travel. This one was a disappointed on the beer, although quite a few options, none of the beer was good. The food however was delicious so giving 4 stars because of the food and the space but the beer really needs to come up to the food level. We tried quite a few food items and they were all amazing!

Went in for lunch today with my wife. We ordered brisket, Brussel sprouts and a couple beers. Beers are great and reasonably priced. The $21 brisket order however was way overpriced for the amount. The amount looked almost like an appetizer. Not enough to fill up even 1 person, so the price should be something like $13-16 max. In addition the brisket tasted like tender roast beef rather than barbecue. Other food items are probably good but I would not get BBQ there anymore considering the cost versus amount.

Beer was very good, however was a little disappointed about the food and service, firstly the food, I orded the brisket, which was presented to me with just what they call torn potatoes and slices of brisket and that's it. On the menu it also just says brisket and that's it. The meal seems incomplete! No other vegetables. No gravy for the brisket and it was dry!.. I don't see how they can call this a meal. Also me and my friend just wanted to sit down and have a beer first before deciding to eat, we were escorted to a table and the waitress firstly gave us a menu, and then almost immediately wanted us to put in our drink order, then gave us the special list verbally, that not on the menu and then wanted to take our order! . I felt like we were being rushed before we had chance to settle in to our seats. Anyway we order the beer ( in which I will give her credit for the knowledge of the beer menu) then we let her know that we weren't ready to eat yet. In about another 10 minutes or so later she was back again asking if we wanted to order dinner. With a quick glance at the menu, I at the time was the only one ready to be ordering but my friend told her that he wanted to finish up his beer first and then we would decide. To my surprise another 10 minutes or so later she's back again trying to take our order. Once again we had to tell her we're not ready. It's great to have good service however with my friend to tell her we wanted to enjoy a beer twice, having to being in the service business myself years ago You observe the customer as to when they look at the menu, then when they both put it down, that's usually a sign that they're ready. I think the waitress should be more observant, just my opinion. Anyway the main reason of 3 stars was the presentation of the food. Otherwise all good. And one more thing to add, I ordered a glass of water which was served in a very small glass. I wish I took a picture of it, is the smallest glass of water I've ever been served in my life. Lol
This is a decent brewery with a variety of beers that's decent and one won that an award like pure intention. The staff is very nice and attentive. The menu itself is mostly bbq centric. The bbq food itself is ok. The flatbreads are decent. The food comes out at a reasonable rate. The atmosphere is a bit more lively and louder even though its a sit-down restaurant. So more like brewery vibe in terms of volume.
FYI - No dogs allowed on the patio due to insurance(?) Not bashing the restaurant as they can make their own rules. Just wish this was posted on the website so we would’ve seen it before coming.
Really like the beer, but dogs aren’t allowed on the patio, which is a pretty strange for a brewery. Wish it said that somewhere online before I made the trip. Good people that work there, but definitely an odd rule for a brewery w/ outdoor seating in SoCal
Service was great, food was a little too charred for my taste it over took the flavor of the food we had burger & the pork belly sandwich...on the upside the Cole slaw was the best i ever tasted....asking about the chatted food we were told that's how it's cooked.....hard to believe they burn the food & to them it's ok...idk
I was really craving a burger so that's what I ordered. Unfortunately the meat was so charred that it was all I could taste.... It overpowered what a burger is suppose to taste like. And I did not enjoy the shared table either. Hard to have a conversation when you have people at the same table.
We started with the tasting flight and one of their beers that tasted like a shandy and was really good! Unfortunately the olive plate was super disappointing. Not only did the olives all have pits in them, it seems as if it was attempted to be baked before it was sent out to us which really didn’t provide any extra flavor. There was only 2 small cloves of garlic in the mixture as well. Also, I understand communal tables are part of the brewery experience, but there should be ‘communal’ prices that go along with that.
The food and beer is amazing here. We used to be able to bring our dogs to the out front patio and it’s such a bummer that they changed their policy randomly. I guess we’ll have to go other places now with our pups. Smog City, LA Ale Works, and Common Space are dog friendly and the staff are wonderful there
Went with my wife after a morning running errands. I hadn’t been to HopSaint since it opened a few years ago where I chalked up my “bad food bad beer” experience to recently opening and always said I’d give them another shot. Today was… Perfectly adequate… Beer was fine… we got both Hazy IPA’s (normally our favorite). We’d place them in the lower ranks of South Bay local hazy beers. We didn’t order a second (we usually do). Food was fine… HopSaint Salad and the Mushroom Flatbread. It wasn’t bad food, but neither was good enough to become a regular order for future visits. Maybe it’s inflation, but it was $1-2 overpriced to consider good value for the money. Also we heard they don’t allow dogs at the outdoor seating area. Although we didn’t have our dog this time, most of our brewery experiences do. I leave remembering why I haven’t been here in years. It will continue to be a drive-by brewery for me.
A disappointing lunch. Barbeque plate was a few slices of brisket, part of a chicken breast sliced, & maybe 2 inches of sausage sliced. Beef & chicken were tasteless & so tough they were hard to cut. Sausage was just okay. Pastrami sandwich was also chewy. Brussel sprouts was the only good dish. Been awhile since we ate here & used to be good, so don't know if this is an outlier or it's gone downhill
Love Hop Sainte but after walking a mile from our house with our sweet little dog the girl at the front desk denied our entrance because our dog was with us. We were going to sit outside (where it was darker, and no one was around) but she told us we couldn’t be outside either. So we had to make the walk back home. 😡 MY PROBLEM IS, the website CLEARLY says dogs are welcome as long a they’re on a leash. There’s nothing on the website AT ALL that says no dogs allowed. They should probably change their website so more customers aren’t turned away. Wasn’t too happy to hear this news when we arrived. We were really looking forward to spending some time and money, but we went home instead.
I came to this place often. Today was the last time. We got to the restaurant this morning and decided to be seated outside. 25 mins in we realized the people next to us that came after us had their drinks and had been checked in twice by two different waitresses. I went to tell the hostess and she was on her phone and then advised she’d get someone. About 10min later no one came. We went back inside to ask and apparently the hostess never advised the waitress. When the waitress came out she advised us she saw us but wasn’t sure we we’re going to eat although we had been sitting there for over 30 min by that point and the hostess knew we were there. So we ended up leaving as the last few times we’ve the service was also not that great. I will say the food is delicious and it stands out in the South Bay unfortunately it’s not enough for me to come back.
I was turned away because my service dog was attempting to alert my husband of my condition. I am a type 1 Diabetic and have a service dog who is trained to retrieve/alert my husband of a low sugar episode when I am at a certain blood glucose level. As we pulled up to the restaurant I was unaware that my blood glucose was dropping. As this was happening my husband went to speak with a worker to see if we could eat at an outside table. As he was speaking to this woman my pup kept attempting to leave my side to retrieve my husband (by making a noise to get his attention/attempting to get him) as he is trained to do when my blood glucose reaches a certain level since I can be unaware of my blood sugar levels at times and am prone to seizures. Instead of this woman asking what he was trained to do and inquiring about whether or not his behavior was related to him being a service dog she said we could not eat here because of he was "jumpy." She then went out of her way to bring up his breed and then explained that a person had been bitten at her restaurant in the past so she wasn't going to risk it. Safe to say, I was heavily disappointed. You cannot turn away a service dog because of something that did not involve them. You cannot turn away a service dog because of their breed. Most importantly you cannot turn them away for acting as they were trained. It's honestly disgusting
Do not waste your time coming here if you want to sit outside with your dog. They will refuse to serve you even if your dog is outside. Came a distance to try out their spot and unloaded our baby stroller , baby and dog just to be turned away when my husband went inside to order some drinks.
