Excellent service, delicious food, large portions and an overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
their food was so good that I ate the whole thing! normally I'm a two meals in one person. I really liked the lentil soup, it was different than any other lentil soup I ever had and now I will be craving it when I'm not feeling well ❤️ I love a good hearty soup when I'm healing up. there wasn't as much chicken as most places but I did appreciate the vegetables on the kebabs they were delicious. I really really like the rice too it's so moist and perfectly cooked and seasoned. I really liked their garlic sauce too a bit on the oily side for me but it was still good. I also tried their falafel which was smooth yet dense, and crunchy on the outside.
We had the chicken and kafta kabobs and the were truly wonderful. We also ordered the frid cauliflower appetizer, and let me tell you - that was a fantastic dish. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!
The food was delicious!! We ordered chicken kabobs, kafta, and the fried cauliflower. It was all so good and my gosh the cauliflower. The service was fantastic - very warm, attentive, and friendly. Would hands down recommend!
I’d walked by the Aristo a hundred times at least and finally made the decision to go in for a meal yesterday. It was great food. Robert was our server and did an incredible job. Made us aware of all the specials and took time to answer any questions we had.
This is a gem of a place. Fresh, delicious, well made food. Friendly, attentive service. I wish I lived closer! Until then, I’ll use any lunch date as an excuse to head over here.
Happened by and was so glad we did. Food was incredible and they were so welcoming. Would absolutely go out of my way to come again. The spicy sauce was delicious.
Great Family spot, they even put some complimentary watermelon for us to enjoy.......it was such a hot summer day too.....HOW THOUGHTFUL. The selection is phenomenal, everything was really flavorful and cooked to perfection. I love the flavor of the lentils.....so yummy....Can't wait for you guys to open back up the dining room, so we can enjoy the atmosphere. Glad your in the neighborhood, we'll be back to visit soon. Be well and Stay safe.....Blessings for you all!!!
If you are craving Mediterranean food and live in the South Bay, run don’t walk! This place is family owned, authentic, and very reasonably priced. Even the salad dressing is fresh! You can tell there is a lot of love going into this food. We ordered the falafels, dolmas, hummus, chicken kabob plate. The food just kept getting better. If I could give them 11 stars I would; HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
So glad to discover this place! We came for lunch. Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had. The beef shish kebabs and lamb gyro were so flavorful. The spicy garlic sauce was so addicting. The pita was soft and warm, and the hummus was fresh! Plus Robert was super welcoming and helped us feel comfortable. Definitely a mom and pops/local feel to this place so we love supporting it. Would definitely come back and bring family here!
Only leave reviews if it really bad or really good. This place was great. Brought drink, bread, hummus within 60s of sitting down. The person who I think was owner was cooking and waiting tables. He checked on us 5x along with the 5 other tables eating. Our drinks were always full and the food was great. You can tell they take pride in their cooking. Food came out super fast also if you need a quick place to eat for lunch time. I was impressed
Their kabobs are amazing—our favorites are the chicken and beef kabobs. The meat is always juicy and tender. Dont miss their spicy garlic sauce—it’s very good and takes everything to the next level. We will always support neighborhood restaurants like this that deliver great service and quality food. Highly recommended!
The food is amazing quality and the price point is reasonable. I will definitely be coming back for more delicious kebabs and hummus!
Wonderful family owned restaurant with delicious food. I'll certainly be returning.
Waited until going for a third time before reviewing to make sure this place wasn’t pulling a fast one on me. They provided excellent service, were extremely friendly with our toddler, and served delicious food in a timely manner. The hummus is amazing, as is the chicken kabob and their house salad. Will definitely go back.
Had dinner with a friend before a club meeting nearby. I had the lamb kebabs, skipped the rice but went with extra veggies. Meat was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. Vegetables were not overcooked, food arrived with artistic presentation. The staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and well maintained, dining room was comfortable and welcoming. I’m not in this area often, but hope I’m hungry the next time I am.
I love this place! Ever since the first time I came here I have loved their food. It is a small mom and pop restaurant and you can tell the food is homemade fresh! Everything is so tasty, fresh and delicious from their started salad to their hummus and then the chicken kabobs or beef or salmon, everything is so good! The service is always so welcoming and attentive. Since it is close to my job I enjoy coming here periodically and although most of the time I come alone, everyone I have brought here agrees with me about it being the best around! I have brought my husband who also fell in love and co-workers and friends. You won't regret eating here or ordering out!
This was my first time eating here and I am so glad I found this place. Alll of the food is amazing and I especially loved the baba ganooj. The owner and staff were also incredibly friendly. I love this place and will definitely be coming back.
Aristo Cafe is a charming little neighborhood gem. Family run for decades by a wonderful family, they clearly care about their food and their customers. The food was terrific, but the service was even better, starting with the complimentary pita and hummus. Reasonable prices, comfortable ambiance, and fantastic staff. Highly recommend.
Found my new favorite local spot! Aristo has been around for years but I only recently decided to drop in and try it. We found it to be a wonderful little gem that is a multi-generational family run restaurant. The food was fresh and we were told the dishes were family recipes passed down. The love and dedication to the food is palpable. We had the Lamb kabob which was marinated perfectly and the Pollo Mediterraneo was also excellent. The garlic sauce is a must. The baklava was the best I’ve tasted, it was light yet crispy with crushed pistachios and a homemade syrup. The decor was a little on the dated side and we were told it has remained the same since it open, however in my opinion, that can be nice that some things just stay the same. To me this just added to the charm. It was the food and the friendly service that gave it a great overall atmosphere. We saw a lot of local customers come in and pick up take out orders. Which also reflects it a good spot. Highly recommend, go there for the food and it’s an added bonus that it also supports a local mom & pop family run business.
I never give reviews, but this place obviously has a lot of care put into their service and food. Highly, highly recommend.
This family-owned gem is our go-to spot for Mediterranean cuisine — and for good reason. The food is consistently fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served in generous portions that never disappoint. You can taste the care and tradition in every dish, and the hospitality is just as impressive. The owners treat you like family, and the service is always warm and attentive. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends, this place checks every box. Highly recommend!
Very nice place to get a healthy lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was very good. Also liked by my son who has type 2 diabetes. Not sure how old the Google menu prices are, but prices are quite a bit more than the menu shown on Google. Chicken kabobs lunch was $17.
This is a great charming cafe with amazing food that is fresh and flavorful.. putting out great food for many years in south South Torrance. They have lamb, Kabab, great salads, the baba and humus are both excellent.. as was the taboule.. they have fish, wraps, and tons of great choices from a light lunch to a full nap time platter. What really stands out is all the food tastes home made and small batch.. nothing tastes canned or mailed in.. every dish, every side dish is something special down to the garnish. Aristo Cafe' is an institution and one of the best restaurants of its kind anywhere in the area. If you want outstanding food look no further.. and shockingly for how good it is the prices are very reasonable.. less costly than the "chicken" chains are way better.
There is so much goodness at Aristo Cafe and it begins with the staff at this family run restaurant with three generations working the business. It was my first time here after a hike at Point Vicente and I wanted to do a healthy lunch. Robert greeted us to start with a hummus chip appetizer and pita bread while we looked over the menu. He highlighted offerings from the menu and suggested the lunch special which included two skewers over jasmine rice, hummus, and included a salad. We were blown away with how filling the food was and the flavor of their signature garlic spread as well as their red spicy version garlic spread. I can tell the food here is prepared with so much care given the attentiveness of the staff as well as the patrons that filled the dining area over lunch. They checked in on our table throughout our meal to see if we wanted extra bread and even introduced us to their baklava which was delicious. I felt great eating here with the quality of the food and the overall experience. You won't be disappointed. I learned this restaurant has been around for 26 years and other than the prices, the menu and deliciousness in the food hasn't changed. I hope they continue for another 26 years and inspire other patrons with their Mediterranean food
Cutest cafe and sweetest owner! Food was 10/10 and great service <3 Everything is fresh and delicious
There are places you go to eat and there are places you go to eat that also feed your soul. Aristo Cafe, where Robert and his family proudly serve his grandfather's traditional Lebanese recipes, is that place for me! If you have a hard time deciding on the menu because of all of the delicious options, just trust that wherever you land, you will receive food that is fresh and filled with love and heart. I'm serious! The crisp greens paired against the decadent fried falafel or cauliflower is a beautiful balance not many places in LA do so well. I mean, do they have their own farm in the back!? One bite will instantly take me back to the streets of Egypt or Lebanon where I've spent much of my adult life. We ordered the eggplant parm, not your typical or traditional eggplant parm, this one is an experience!!! Alongside the Baba Ganoush with its rich smoky flavor, the falafel with traditional garbanzo AND fava (#iykyk), plus they brought us the cauliflower to try. The toum, creamy white garlic sauce, is traditional - you can taste the lemon and can't help but Smear it on Every. Single. Bite. Leaving you to wonder how is it possible this is a truly vegan treat, how could it be this creamy!? Their spicy version is equally as good for a whole other experience. And if serving up amazing dishes wasn't enough, Robert is a great conversationalist and the atmosphere is like stepping back into the old world- it's cozy, its friendly, there's conversation and people engaging. It's a true middle eastern experience where human connection is prioritized, where eating and breaking bread is joy shared with smiling faces and laughter around a table. Aristo's Cafe is the ultimate eatery in the South Bay of Los Angeles. I found this place on happenstance, while returning my Uhaul across the street, almost skeptical of what I'd find inside. But when I stopped by to read the menu, I knew what I was getting was authenticity. I cant wait to come back again and again. My heart feels truly full from being able eat here, conversation with Robert about his beautiful family and to have the chance to show my partner authentic Lebanese cuisine. Thank you, Robert and family, for sharing a piece of yourselves with us. 🖤
The foods here are amazing, very authentic Armenian/Mediterranean cuisine, fresh ingredients, affordable & plentiful. I love how generous the portions are, and the flavor is so delicious. We got a complimentary hummus & freshly baked baklava served by the owner, and it was divine! I really enjoyed the Sujuk dish and dolmah (grape leaves), presentation is beautiful and appetizing. Thank you so much for a delightful meal & warm hospitable service! 🙏🏻
Good food and kindly stuff!! Love it 🥰💞
Such a wonderful time capsule family business. The Eggplant Parmesan is the BEST! Crisp salad is reasonably priced, I substitute chicken with Gyro. Service is friendly and fast. The vegan garlic sauce and spicy garlic sauce are so good, I packed the rest with us, definitely coming back again.
Wow it's like a whole new world unfolded right in front of me. The taste and flavor surpass any of my expectations I had for this place. First time but not the last for sure. I assure you that the food is worth the price. I'm a new customer that's happy to discover a new go to place. Thank you to everyone that works thier.

Owner driven business . A lovely quaint restaurant. Maybe 15 to 20 seats . Specially handmade chefs mediterranean recipies. Courteous service. Pita bread and humus are served as gratis with the food. Enjoy ! A good meal.
We just want to try different restaurants for lunch in Torrance. I found this one on Google map with 4.7 ratings. I wanted to give a try. I called and placed a takeout order for Chicken Kabobs lunch special with one extra chicken skewer. When I arrived after 15 min, the order was ready. I talked to the owner of grandson and he is so friendly and genuine. Their food is so delicious and meat is tender and not salty at all. I will definitely go back again.
This restaurant is amazing on so many levels. Food is superb, fresh and so good. The service is wonderful with an attentive staff and the owners who check in to see if you need anything. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend this gem.
The best. Incredible service, hospitality, warmth. Extremely clean good food with beautiful stories behind it. This is the place you take people who are never impressed to be impressed.
My favorite middle eastern food in the south bay! Owned and operated by the sweetest family that's always around. Always friendly service and delicious top-quality food. There's a lot of good middle eastern food in the neighborhood, but I always go out of my way to come here instead because everything else never seems to compare. Their lentil soup is the best I've ever had. Love their fattoush and Pollo Mediterraneo as well.
Excellent lunch all around, from the friendly staff, the delicious food to the promptness. 3 of us dined, 1 salad 1 entree 1 lunch special and we all loved it. I hope the back patio gets set up for spring
Wife and I love Aristo! We’ve been coming for over 10 years now and it’s the best Greek food in the South Bay. The beef and lamb kebabs are top notch and the baklava is delicious. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Torrance.

Hidden gem! Good Mediterranean food with nice ambience. They have free private parking lot as well as street parking. There's plenty of indoor seating with nice decoration and friendly atmosphere. There's also outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I believe it's Lebanese family owned. The food is delicious. We ordered the Kebbah appetizer. It was hot and delicious. Also ordered the chicken kebob. It was good but I've had better elsewhere. I expected more for the price. The garlic sauce had a strange taste so I didn't eat it. The dish also came with steamed veggies, hummus, and rice. We also ordered the lamb chops. Also came with same sides. The meat was tender and well marinated but had a slight tomatoe sauce flavor which I didn't really like. Also got the lamb kebob. Same sides as above. Also tender with tomatoe sauce flavor. There were a lot of to go and door dash orders. Overall I would say it's a good option although there are better Mediterranean choices near by (ex. chicken maison) that are better in quality and less expensive. This restaurant has a cute feeling though.
A charming and well lit venue off a small street. Aristotle Cafe serves general Mediterranean cuisine offerings. I ordered the gyros lunch platter which included salad, hummus, and pitas bread. The hummus was exceptional. Salad was a basic offering served with vinaigrette. Gyros was ok. Not the best in my opinion. However I still enjoyed the meal and it was served with watermelon slices as a dessert to end the meal. The ice tea is also another highlight and highly recommended.

This was my 1st time here. I read the reviews and decided this was a place to try. The lady at the counter was nice and pleasant. Ordered the gyro with extra tziki sauce. The food was hot, which is always a plus, but the sauce did not taste like tziki sauce, it tasted almost spoiled. I was sadly disappointed. I would not recommend.

While $18 is a bit nuts for a lunch special, I was hungry and even the gruff woman at the front could'nt ruin my optimism. The place was quaint if not cute, in its defense; with motown classics blaring over the speakers. Unfortunately, the food was bland. Hummos missing tahini, the kafta needed garlic & onions, and the rice was just plain white. Salad came with enough dressing to power an oil lamp through an Alaksan winter but it was tasty. Did I mention that everything was served on disposible plates, with plastic cutlery and cups? You would think at this price point, someone could do the dishes. As I thanked the gruff woman for the meal and she returned a dirty look, I had a feeling that I'll never be back.
It’s been years since I’ve been here, and sadly I will probably not return. I remember thick plump juicy kebabs, now it’s somewhat dry little pieces of meat. Even the rice was subpar, most places serve a fragrant jasmine rice, this was plain steamed white rice with no character, not to mention the parsley on everything including the eggplant parm appetizer. Literally sprinkled parsley everywhere! Wish this was a better review.
