Giamela's Submarine sandwiches are delicious and they have the best meatball sandwich and beef sandwich that my husband and I have ever eaten. I would tell people to go there if they want good Italian food. They have salads and they have pizzas which I haven't tried yet but I will in the future. I give it five stars.

We get the delicious pepper steak sub. One large feeds both of us. They use good ingredients. The spaghetti is also good. Highly recommend Giamelas.

Been going there forever. Live out of state now, but visit when I am back in LA to see family. Prices have gone up a lot though. $47 for 2 large subs. So will probably not be going there again.

Giamela's is an old family owned chain with amazing pepper steak subs. I have been eating here since at least the early 80's, and unfortunately they've closed a few locations. Their subs are generously portioned and freshly prepared. Aside from their pepper steak, their meatball sub among others is classic. The atmosphere and decor is basic, but that isn't why you come here. Service is friendly.

I've been coming here for 30 years when my dad used to bring me when I was 10 years old. These sandwiches never disappoint ever. My go to is the Peppersteak & Egg but I also love the Pastrami. I wish they had one in the mid S.F. valley but either way I'll continue driving to this one as long as it's open.

Love their subs, my son loves their pepperoni pizza and my daughter is a big fan of their spaghetti and meatballs..there is an option for any craving..food is always great and service is fast.

Best sandwiches I've ever had. The price for what you get is exceptional. Whenever I am nearby I stop and get food from here and I am never disappointed.

I love this place. I grew up eating their subs. The staff is awesome. I live in Reseda, but do not mind the trek all the way to Sunland for a taste of nostalgia. I always get the pepper steak. My boys love the bucket of spaghetti with meatballs and, of course, the pizza. It's definitely a family favorite.

One of the best sandwiches. I love the 12 inch hit pastrami on toasted roll for $13.95 is awesome. Pizza is good here as,well as pastas.

Great friendly staff. Very helpful and direct one towards the right way when asked a question. Also, Great to work with. Always make it a smooth transaction.

A neighborhood deli, cold and hot sandwiches, pizza, salads and more. Small on the inside, usually to-go orders, lots of locals come here so you know it's good. Get a large size, instead of regular, sandwich, it's a better value. I had the antipasto salad, very nice. Good service.

Giamela’s sandwiches are hands-down the best. Pepper steak is the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten anywhere. They used to be a Giamela’s in Chatsworth where I live. I drive to Burbank or Sunland just to get a pepper steak when I get the craving. We come across a lot of good food in out lifetime but there’s those few “special” ones. The pepper steak is one of those for me.

The pepperoni is a bit on the oily side for me so I ordered the mushrooms and olives. The location is nice. Will definitely be coming back soon.

My husband had been talking about these sandwiches for 11 years so it was great to finally try them and yes, they did live up to the hype. Quite a few homeless, it's a sad situation. They were busy, lots of pizza orders. We'll give that a try next time.

It also had chopped pickles and onions on top. You don't even need teeth to to eat this sandwich. Meat was very tender with great pepper flavor. Next time I will choose large for a buck more. The only down side was the large homeless population in the area and parking lot is small. We parked in grocery store lot next door and walked over. It's sad about homeless situation.

If you want a real Socal Sub then you need to come to Giamela's Submarine. Every Sub is made with the best deli meats and always with the freshest veggies on top. The Subs are always packed with enough meats and veggies for 2 meals. One large Sub is enough for 2 to share. You always get greeted politely and the service is always fast and friendly. So if you are looking for a quick delicious meal and want to get your money's worth stop by and pick up a Sub and you won't be disappointed. If you can't decide between the Pepper Steak or the Pastrami get the MRS.G it's the best of both worlds you would be sorry. That's the Mrs.G's Sub in the picture enjoy

I even had the ravioli and spaghetti delivered when I was terribly sick with Covid. This Giamelas never closed and I am thankful. Did Giamelas cure my Covid, I doubt it...did it make me stronger, Hell Yes! Thank u and keep up the good work!

They used to have the best pastrami's and pretty much every other meat but meats have gone down in quality lately at every restaurant and fast food joint. Because they have to in order to stay afloat they have to sell lower quality products and Giamelas is no exception. They used to be one of the best now they're pepper steak is the only good beef type meat that I like the pastrami taste like really cheap pastrami. I haven't tried Mario's in Glendale for a long time but they have some pretty amazing pastrami's if you like pastrami sandwiches.

Looks like their pizza and spaghetti prices are good, too. Parking was fine, atmosphere clean but kinda meh (take it home or to the park). Most importantly, the Doordash, grubhub, ubereats, etc pickups did not interfere at all with our experience. Def recommend for a price conscious, yummy family meal.

Kind of upset. They told me my phone order would be ready in 30 minutes. I got there and had to wait an additional 30 minutes. All these people came in and ordered and walked out with there order. I waited another 15 minutes before I asked him if they forgot about my order. Asked no cheese on one of my spaghetti orders they put cheese. Ask them for one garlic bread with no garlic. Got garlic. Other wise food was good.

Omg I've been going there for years but no more. They use to make the best garlic turkey sandwich in a.big french roll .I understand they had to raise their prices But when I got the sandwich home I was shocked their lrg roll is now the size of a hot dog or sausage roll .like 6inch . So sad for the price I paid 14+ I'll go to Corsicas deli from now on 😒😒😒😒so disappointed

Unfortunately, Giamela's pizza used to be very, very good. However, they have been skimping with the toppings recently. What used to be a generous portion of large pepperoni pieces that would practically cover the whole pizza is now replaced with a meager amount of tiny round thick pieces that are super greasy, rubbery and sometimes burnt. Don't try to fix something that was working.

My son is anaphalactic to sesame, and giamelas does not offer a sesame free bun. So we asked if we could order a side of just beef. They said we had to order the entire sandwich for $13+, if we wanted a scoop of just meat. Lost a lifelong customer.

I asked the person at the counter and he refused to give me his name. I' will never go back. Management please call me you need to know what happened I took hos picture and he chased me out of the restaurant.

I placed multiple orders and they never get my orders correct, it’s not really hard to add cheese and meat. That’s not a hard order to understand
