This is a must see & experience if you go to Tulum. Do not go if you are not willing to spend money, though. You are also able to smoke there which could be good or bad depending how you look at it. The drinks are pretty expensive, but good. We ordered the loaded potato, duck, spaghetti and ravioli. The food was excellent. The waiters were super helpful, friendly and attentive. Hopefully you get Bruno & Amancay, they were amazing. The music provided a club like experience while we were eating.
This spot has a great vibe with good food and awesome music. It wasn’t too crowded, which made for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The service was decent, and the food tasted great, though the portions were a bit small. The music was really good, but way too loud for the number of people there—turning it down a notch would make a big difference. Prices seem a bit higher than other beach clubs, but overall, it’s a cool place to hang out.
The best food I have had ever: Avacado pizza & ravioli… had the tropezienne dessert which was okay okay but the mains were 100/100 thus gave 5 stars (rarely do) Definitely pricey tho haha but kinda expected in tulum
It’s a vibe here. They have music. Good drinks. It has bathroom facilities, outdoor showers, pool to enjoy if you don’t want to go the beach but trust me beach is so clear and not deep that you will want to jump in. Staff is very attentive. Security is keeping an eye out on everything. Prices are a bit high but not so bad.
Such a fun spot on the Tulum strip! We went for dinner at 9pm as the entertainment starts after that. There’s a DJ and the music is like a club vibe experience while you eat. Definitely a must visit if you want a good night out. The waiters are very attentive and helpful. The ambience and food are a 10/10. I definitely recommend Bagatelle, best night out in Tulum
Our large group of 9 had dinner here and we loved the vibe. Dinner took a bit longer than we liked (we were all hungry) but every dish was a hit. I was surprised with the avocado pizza. It was so delicious we wanted more but we had to pace ourselves. The recommendations from our server Pepe was all very nice. I had a last minute request for a small birthday cake and they quickly put it together and the team showed up with sparklers and just hyped the entire group up. We had a lovely time. If you go, the request Pepe. He’s the bees knees.
Totally fun! I will start by saying it’s on the pricey side. However the food was great, service was great and music and dance was on point. Do dinner after 8:30pm because the entertainment only starts after that.
We had a good experience in Bagatelle! My first question was parking, but there was a valet 50m away for 300$ for the full day (the week after they asked for 400$, cause was “busy”) so that was easy! The hostess & staff were very friendly and accommodating 🫶🏻 We ordered truffle pizza, burrata and shisha (all highly recommended!) beautiful chill place with great music and a view to die for ! The second time we came the minimum spend was 300 USD! per person for lunch (minimum spend) but since they were closing after 1h.. wasn’t really worth it 😂😂 more expensive here then Dubai for zero infrastructure basically.
Decor, atmosphere, DJ. It’s everything you want for an elevated dinner out in Tulum. All the dishes are excellent, best food we had in this city. Stuffed potato app…. OMG. Died it was so good. Mini raviolis also off the chart delish. Bruno & Julian offer impeccable service there. You’ll feel cared for and well paced throughout the meal.
We had a late lunch one day last week and I can say everything I had was phenomenal. We started with the ceviche, beef carpaccio and tuna tartare. All 3 were amazing. For my main I did the avocado pizza. This was the most simple, basic pizza but it was like nothing I’ve ever had. I need this pizza back where I live. Service and food were both excellent. Worth a try, I promise.
We got bed for free with towels. Service, staff are great. Food and cocktails are tasty, but pricy. One beer is around 150 pesos. The pool and service, atmosphere worth the price, because it was beautiful!
What an amazing experience! Octavio was our server and he was superb. Very attentive and gave us the best service! Good food, drinks, music, atmosphere. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back another time. Bagatelle is a must visit if you visit the beach strip.
*no minimal spend *nice house music *beach towels provided Nestled on the pristine shores of Tulum, the Beach Club is a gem that promises an unforgettable seaside experience. Its vibrant atmosphere is complemented by the soothing rhythms of music that seems to harmonize perfectly with the natural beauty of its surroundings. The club's attentive staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels special, creating an environment where relaxation and enjoyment are the orders of the day. A standout feature of this beach club is its culinary offerings, which blend local flavors with international cuisine, creating a menu that's as enticing as the panoramic ocean views. Whether you're sipping on a signature cocktail or indulging in a gourmet meal, the quality and creativity are evident in every bite. Special thanks to Franchesco, whose warm hospitality and exceptional service made our visit truly remarkable. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests' experiences set a high standard and contribute significantly to the club's welcoming atmosphere. For those seeking a place to unwind, dance to great music, and enjoy the beauty of Tulum, this beach club is a must-visit. It's a perfect blend of natural beauty, outstanding service, and a lively ambiance that guarantees a memorable day by the sea.
We love Bagatelle! Every time we’re in Tulum, it’s our go-to spot. The atmosphere, food, and service are always fantastic, and the music adds an extra touch. Ramirez and Francisco were amazing!
Absolutely the best food, service, view and experience! If I could give 10 stars I would. From the moment you walk in the ambiance is stunning. The staff at the front desk is simply beautiful. There is however and agreement to spend $130 per person. That would be easy to do with alcohol and food, they even have hookah. The service, the place your napkin In your lap, wipe condensation from the tables, and ensure your glass is always full. There truly is so many fantastic things at this location its hard to pinpoint. The live DJ, food, beach... I will most definitely return.
Bagatelle Tulum is an absolute gem and a must-visit if you’re in the area! We were referred to this stunning restaurant by Jay, the owner of UTV Rentals Tulum, and it turned out to be the perfect recommendation. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality that made us feel truly catered to. Not once did I have to pull out my own chair or wait for service—every detail was seamlessly handled, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was flawless. The atmosphere is its own unique Vibe. The space is effortlessly chic, with a boho yet modern aesthetic that feels sophisticated yet relaxed. The macramé ceilings and shifting light fixtures create a whimsical, enchanting atmosphere and quite engaging. It’s stylish, cool, and a great spot to elevate any evening. If you’re looking for a luxurious dining experience with exceptional food, drinks, and service, Bagatelle Tulum is the place to be. Huge thanks to Jay for the recommendation—it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip
Waw! Waw!! The service is 10/10 please ask for Jose Luis and Carlos. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. We had the sea bass ceviche, it’s a must! We also ordered the fior Di latte truffle pizza which was very good thin crust pizza. They took care of us all day and came to check on us every 15-20 min. The atmosphere is very nice and there is a Dj playing good chill music. The vibes are excellent! The lounge chairs are super comfy. The pool is very clean and has a shallow section for lounging. 100% recommended
Amazing experience Provided to us by Bagatelle Tulum, our server Roberto and Martin and everybody. They gave us quick and amazing service and made me have an amazing birthday. Food, ambience and vibes were amazing. thank you also to the whole team 🤍
Came here for my birthday! Pablo and Bruno were AWESOME! Very attentive and just great at their job. Ambience and food 10/10
Google reviews don’t do this venue or staff justice. Easily one of my best experiences at a restaurant, beautiful venue, friendly prompt staff, and amazing food. Yoshi our server took care of our group for my bday and had some excellent recommendations.
Our second trip to tulum and we had to return to bagatelle. Offering the best food and DJs on the strip. The menu and cocktails have. Lot of variety and were enjoyed by our entire group. Some of the best looking crowd compared to other beach clubs. You can relax or have a fun time in one location. We arrived at 3pm for our reservations and it was very lively. Stayed till 7pm when the rare beach club area closes. The dining room gets busy and loud after 9:30pm for dinner options.
A few clients and I visited this beach club and had a great time. It wasn’t too crowded, there was a DJ, and the space was clean. The staff was very nice and friendly throughout our visit. The only downside was the seaweed on the beach, but it was high season for sargassum at the time, so that was understandable. There’s also a small clothing boutique inside with great vibes and cute pieces. There was a situation where a fight almost broke out, but security handled it quickly and professionally. I really appreciated the entertainment and the fact that they don’t allow solicitation inside the beach club. It made it much more relaxing to enjoy the beach without people constantly trying to sell things. The infinity pool was beautiful, and I believe there were showers, two bathrooms, and a restaurant area. The restaurant wasn’t open when I visited, but the club itself is stunning—perfect for photos and content creation. Overall, it’s a beautiful beach club and I would definitely return.
We discovered Bagatelle by accident. We were looking for a restaurant to have lunch, and did not know that this was a "beach club." But we walked in and were absolutely blown away by the beautiful atmosphere. I was not expecting to see the ocean here, and had not yet seen it during our visit to Tulum. I was overcome by emotion and cried at the table! It was also my birthday. We had two servers, Sebastian and Brandon. I have no words to describe our experience with them. We were treated like royalty every step of the way. I have never in my life had a restaurant experience like this, between the exceptional service and the food. Everything was too beautiful to eat, each dish prepared very carefully, like a work of art. I ordered the steak carpaccio, the salad, and ceviche. My daughter ordered the pizza. The cocktails and pina coladas were amazing with fresh ingredients. Each time we picked up our beverages to sip them, Brandon or Sebastian was there with a towel to ensure our table was dry and clean. They were so friendly and attentive, and made me feel like a queen on my birthday. Tulum has other beach clubs we have since visited, but they do not come close to what we experienced at Bagatelle. I will never forget it!
5 out of 5 outstanding service... Excellent drinks quality... Staff very friendly and respectful... Amancay & Valentina best ever!! Perfect for a night out
Bagatelle was such an amazing spot! We absolutely loved the outdoor hut and cabana we had — the weather was perfect, and we spent the day going in and out of the water, always able to return to our cozy spot. The whole vibe was so positive and laid-back, and there were so many cool things to photograph, making it not just a fun day but a visually memorable one, too. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really added to the overall experience. The drinks were fantastic, and the whole atmosphere made us feel like we were in a special place, truly enjoying the moment. This was definitely one of my favorite places to visit, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun and beautiful spot to relax, enjoy great drinks, and soak up a positive vibe!
Ambiance amazing. Came for apps and drinks around 9 pm and Thomas and Allen were exceptional! Service was great and the drinks were amazing. I’m a Prosecco girl and got the bagatelle spritz. Overall perfection.
Julio and Berna were SUCH great hosts. We had an absolutely incredible time. The food was great, the service was top notch! Thanks for giving us a great day my friends! Cheers 🍻
Server Tavo was great! Smooth service no issues food was also up to standards. Music and vibe were amazing. Nice crowd all around.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at BAGATELLE Tulum. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The dishes are delicious, with each bite bursting with fresh flavors. What made our visit truly memorable was the customer service. Amancay and Abigail stood out for their kindness and dedication, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations enhanced our dining experience. If you're looking for great food combined with outstanding service, BAGATELLE Tulum is the perfect choice. I will definitely return to enjoy their hospitality and exquisite cuisine!
I came to this beach club because my hotel said they didn’t have a minimum requirement. Prior to going I had seen the menu and knew it would be expensive, so when the check came it was not a surprise. We had 4 alcoholic drinks, 3 bottles of water, and 3 appetizers and our bill was 250+ USD. The place is gorgeous in itself and would recommend if you want to splurge. However, I would say the service was good, but at times it was too much (too aggressive) and always pushed us to order more drinks/food. Our waiter was Ronaldo and I mentioned to him I read some good reviews on Google about him so at first he was nice but as the day progressed he was way too intense for my taste. Also, he promoted an airb&b he co-owned with a friend for whenever we want to come back to Tulum, which I didn’t think was appropriate. Overall, it was a good experience but very expensive.
Nice vibe, pretty good food..service was friendly. Was thankful they had valet parking because parking in Tulum is the worst. Also had good wifi. Drinks were good. Only thing was one drink we ordered a fly flew into it so we asked for another one but they charged us for both. When I asked about it, the waiter explained he can’t control the flies..but neither can we. So if you are there because it’s outside and on the beach there are a lot of uncontrollable flies. The music is hits and house style. When they came out to cut the lamb in front of you that took longer than I would have liked. In because so many flies around, I just wanted them to hand me my plate so I can shoo the flies away. Overall, cool place. Kind of expensive though. I spent a couple hundred dollars.
Food is not bad but for that price in Mexico they can definitely do much better . Ambience is pretty wholesome. Service is spot on. Just an fyi they automatically charge 15% autograt irrespective
Place was meh. Nothing too wow or crazy for the price you pay. Food was small portion, service was below average (waiter had no personality or appreciation), performance was basic. We paid 580 Mexican pesos for fries with truffle oil (not even truffle). Not worth it at all. Better off going to Ilios right across for better food, service and performance, if you are debating.
Seriously good food and service 💯 Spoiled by feeling like we are in the middle of a dance festival. We were shouting with ourselves and the staff just to be able to be heard. We went there for a wine and lunch beach day and our ears are still ringing. Whoever decided the music should be that loud has no idea what an upmarket clientele are looking for. Turn the music down or get more speakers and spread it out. Tulum is full of loud chavvy beach clubs, we thought better of a Bagatelle brand! It really could have been fantastic but it seems the management are trying to pull in the young party crowd at the expense of people who visit the Bagatelle brand in Europe. Food 10/10 service 10/10 atmosphere 1/10 too loud to speak without shouting left with ear ache. Very disappointing.. probably the loudest beach club in Tulum
I mean seriously?! $75 for this piece of dry lamb chop ?! Ok I’ll be honest with you, the vibe and music is great! The appetizers were not bad either (obviously everything is overpriced, but we don’t mind paying if it’s really worth it) But the main course!!! Both me and my husband ordered main courses that we were not happy with at all, not just the price, but the taste and quality was very disappointing, especially for a place like that. We ordered lamb chops (they should’ve mentioned it will be only be 1 lamb chop) and octopus that was not tasty as all. Well at least the music was good.
Wouldn’t recommend this beach club in Tulum, it was weirdly empty and while the food was good, the overall experience was sub par. For some reason they have a safari / jungle theme with lots of tacky faux animals. They look so bizarre and take away from the beach. Music was very loud, even when hardly anyone was there. Not a terrible place, but doesn’t resemble other bagatelle locations.
This place is more about the look than anything else. Most people there were only there to take Instagram pics. Our service was poor because the servers spent a lot of time dancing to the club music. The food was cold when it arrived at our table and pretty low quality given the price point. The music was very loud so we couldn’t have much of a conversation. Definitely more of a stop in for a drink and an appetizer, get your cool pictures, and go someplace else for dinner place.
Nothing like other Bagatelle clubs. Food was ok. I came here by chance, I wanted to tan. The front seats have zero sun. I wasn’t allowed to turn the seat to the sun because of “aesthetic”. So I’m paying 150-200 USD for shade. What a great experience 😀 not … anyway… average place… thanks
We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation. There was a body guard slightly stocky who was rude and just said the entrance was on the other side and we should wait. Our server she was great, polite, also Gaspi and Santiago it was very nice and polite. Music it was too loud, like a club vibe, on the reservation website it said it was completely booked for the night, but in 2 hours only 4 other tables were occupied. The food it was good, besides the avocado pizza which was overly salty.
The resort we were staying at made the reservation arrangements for dinner at Bagatelle. When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation, and because there were “ a lot” of reservations, we were only possibly keeping the table for 1 1/2 hours. From the start we already felt not welcomed and rushed. We did end up keeping the table for the remaining of the night but the service and food was a total disappointment. For an upscale restaurant it did not meet the standards. On a positive note, the African show was good and entertaining. For an unforgettable experience and excellent service, BAK restaurant, is the place to be. We had an amazing experience and the food and service were top notch.
Very disappointing experience. Visited Bagatelle (Tulum) Jungle Brunch on a Sunday and it was seriously overpriced for what you get. The waiter service was good overall and staff were attentive, however the drinks really let the experience down. Cocktails were extremely overpriced and became watery within 10 minutes. We raised this with staff at the time, and the only resolution offered was a 10% service fee removal on the final bill - which didn’t come close to addressing the issue. The food was okay but overpriced. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the hype or the cost.
The worst experience I’ve had in my three years coming to Tulum, in any beach club. I went to Bagatelle for the Monolink event, one of my favorite DJs, expecting an amazing experience. Instead, it turned into something exhausting, frustrating, and absolutely awful. From the very beginning, security was degrading. They searched me excessively, took cash out of my wallet, and went through it as if I were a criminal. A humiliating way to start the night. Then came the complete chaos with the wristbands. We were given orange wristbands that did not work; only blue ones were being accepted. I was sent to three different lines, and every time I reached the end, I was told I couldn’t order because my wristband wasn’t working, after being told in the previous line that it would work there. I spent nearly two hours standing in lines, going from one to another, and was unable to buy a single drink, not even water. I missed almost the entire set of my favorite DJ just trying to get something to drink. I eventually had to leave the venue to buy water elsewhere and then return. Had I known there was re-entry, I would have never attempted to consume anything there in the first place. The level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for a venue with ridiculously high prices. If you’re not going to accept card payments, the wristband system needs to work flawlessly. When they finally allowed card payments, the Wi-Fi was down, so once again, cash only. I often bring international friends to Tulum, and they also had a terrible experience. Places like this are exactly why Tulum is increasingly being labeled as one of the worst destinations for tourists: outrageously expensive, inefficient, and they don’t even allow you to consume what you’re supposedly paying for. For the amount of money they charge, the bare minimum should be efficiency and exceptional customer service, and Bagatelle delivers none of it. A complete waste of time, energy, and money. Absolutely not recommended.
Totally spoilt the mood for the whole day by coming here. Highly not recommend. While many waiters are doing great job to be friendly and welcoming, the dishes we tried were good - overall management starting from the front desk giving you impression that they are making you a huge favor for coming here. If you want to come here, spent a lot of money and feel terrible, this is the right place.
Hard pass, this place has kids galore and is not an adult beach club, felt more like a hangout for mid-30 parents to turn their kids loose in the pool while they get hammered and post heavily filtered instas to their friends back home. Yikes! If you can get past the rugrats, the only decent thing on the menu is the avocado pizza and lamb chop (yes, one chop). The spaghetti was cold and looked like a blob on a plate, zero flavor. Service was also a miss, while our waiter was nice, the wrong order came out and we had to wait a fair bit for each plate to come out, mind you this was at 330 on a Tuesday with one other table in the restaurant. After eating, we asked for a lounger by the beach and were given a regular chair in the back. By this time it was 430 and the sun was already setting behind the club. I asked the manager, Maranello (or something like that) if we could move to one of the several empty sun loungers and he declined unless we wanted to “slam back 4 more don julio margaritas to get our $7k pesos lunch bill to $10k pesos”. No thanks. We decided to spend our last 30 min or so checking out the beach which was covered in seaweed. When we came back, the security goon stopped us and told us it was private property LOL (If you’re gonna run your club like this you really should hand out wristbands). I’ve had an easier time getting past Sven at Berghain. Verdict - don’t let the Bagatelle brand be ruined by this dodgy imposter outpost. Much nicer beach clubs to visit in Tulum.
We went on Thursday, January 8, for the Monolink event, and it was a complete disaster. Security searched us aggressively, like we were criminals. They went through wallets and even took my friend’s notes out and read them, which was extremely inappropriate. After that, we were given orange Tempo bracelets. Inside, we were told we couldn’t get drinks without adding credit to the bracelet. We were sent to three different staff members, all giving different instructions after waiting in lines. Finally, we were told to go to the bar on the right side of the stage, where there was a massive line. We waited over 1.5 hours (not exaggerating), missing almost the entire event. When we finally reached the bar, they told us the internet was down and they couldn’t serve drinks at all to us. After wasting our time, there was no solution. We asked for the manager. the person who was cleaning the table said that he was the manager, he said he was going to get something, and never returned. No apology, no explanation. We eventually had to leave. This happened to all six of us, and our night was completely ruined. This is some of the worst customer service in Tulum and in all the locations that I have been. I love Tulum, but this place is a disgrace. Do not recommend!
Super overpriced for what you get. The beach club was kinda empty. We ended up getting one drink and leaving. $50 per drink, it was over $400usd for 8 drinks. The drinks were watered down. The espresso martinis tasted like Nesquick with no alcohol. They didn’t allow any substitutes on food and the choices were very limited at brunch. Would not come back.
We had a 6:30 PM reservation for four people, but when we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed until 7:00, leaving us to wait 30 minutes. Once they opened, staff initially said they couldn’t find our reservation, then later “found” it but claimed it was only for two people. Although they seated all four of us, we were told we only had 90 minutes to dine, which made the experience feel rushed from the start. When we attempted to order the chicken and fish, we were told those dishes couldn’t be prepared because they take 90 minutes to make—only to be told shortly after that they actually take about 30 minutes. Their menu online is not the same as in-person either as the duck is not offered. Given the confusion, time pressure, and inconsistent information, we decided to leave, knowing the meal would not be enjoyable. We ended up dining elsewhere and had a great experience.
We tried to get sunbeds at this club and the whole experience was very unwelcoming. While at other beach clubs you could bring your own water and store it at bar, they took everything and threw it away. When we walked to get our sunbeds, they wanted to charge us extra for umbrellas. When we decided we dont want to stay, they didnt allow us to leave and walk on the beach. Not only the place was completely empty but also the people were not friendly and immediately started speaking to each other Spanish when we expressed dislike. We did not experience this at any other club around. Makes sense why it was empty
I booked a spot and paid 150 USD. When we arrived at the beach, the reserved sunbeds had no umbrella, forcing us to sit in direct sunlight. The service was absolutely terrible. The manager was completely useless, made no effort to fix the problem, and had a rude, arrogant attitude. I strongly do not recommend this place. Extremely overpriced for such shockingly bad service.
We went for an evening party here and Dj and atmosphere was amazing, we loved it! However, cannot say the same about service or price. They only have a small bar for a massive crowd and every time you need a drink you should be waiting in a very long queue. Also, drinks are very limited, they don’t service any cocktails or prosecco!! They only have shots and very limited beer options (not the good ones) And super super expensive for what you get. 45 USD for a shot of tequila or vodka is insane!!
