De los mejores arroces que puedas encontrar en Valencia, aqui todavía perdura y se siente esa tradicionalidad donde se le daba valor a la calidad, a las cocciones lentas, a las bases de arroz bien elaboradas fuera de productos baratero. Una maravilla el arroz y cada Entrante con unas vistas al mar y un ambiente fabuloso, me ha fascinado el lugar. Un equipo en sala magnifico y una bodega para todos los bolsillos donde el limite lo pones tu mismo. Recomendable al 100%

Queríamos que mi madre probara el arroz al horno en paella pero ya no lo tienen en la carta. Por suerte nos ha tocado el mismo camarero que la otra vez. Aquel día lo hizo muy bien y hoy se ha superado. Nos ha sugerido el arroz de rape, gambas y ajos tiernos y ha sido un acierto. Mi madre se ha ido encantada. Gracias

EDIT: The food and service are back! Went back with friends over the holidays and everything is perfect again. Kudos to the staff and management of the restaurant! This restaurant used to be one of, if not, my favorite restaurants in Valencia. But after the head chef, Chabe Soler, left the restaurant, everything seems to be on steady decline except the view. The paella that I always ordered tastes nothing like how it was; the place is disorganized; the toilet ran out of toilet paper, the online reservation shows the restaurant is closed when it was open; and many familiar faces in the service crew are not seen around anymore too. I'm not sure what's going on internally. But I hope the management will pull itself together. The restaurant still offers a great view at a great location. I'd like to come back for the paella if it goes back to the quality that it had back then.

Great find! Staff were lovely and the food was 10/10. Particularly recommend the buñuelos de bacalao (mini cod fishcakes) and the tarta de chocolate (chocolate cake with a nutty/biscuity ice cream). The food came quickly except for the fish which came a little later when we were ready for pudding! So 4.5/5 stars - would recommend :)

Stumbling upon La Ferrera during our beachside stroll in Valencia was a holiday highlight! Despite our large group and pets, and without a reservation, they warmly welcomed us in. Situated with a mesmerising sea view, this place set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The service was outstanding, making us feel thoroughly attended to. We were lucky to get a last-minute chance to savor their famed Valencian paella, usually requiring 24-hour notice, and it was sensational. The starters, particularly the octopus torreznos and bravas, were delightful, setting a high bar for what followed. The homemade desserts like the caramelized mille-feuille with custard cream, a dulce de leche tiramisu, and a standout gorgonzola cheesecake ended our meal on a high note. Highly recommend booking in advance, especially during holiday seasons, to secure a spot at this sought-after venue. La Ferrera is a must-visit for an unforgettable culinary journey in Valencia!

What a such wonderful experience! We went in a family’s group of 7 people plus a baby and we tried 2 kind of rices, one was with sea food and fish and the other one with fish and spinaches both were wonderful, served on time, the staff was really nice and attentive to all of our demands and questions, we took also, 2 entrances dishes, one was “patatas bravas” and the other was a Garrafon’s hummus (which is a kind of bean) very tasty and with a good size of portion. For sure we would recommend it to anyone in this community and we hope to go back soon. We tried a fantastic coffee at the end, It’s in front of the beach with a large and nice terrace. Definitely Enrique and his staff were very nice. They got our 5 stars!

One of the best kept secret of Valencia. Great location and view - on the beach. Really worth the drive to the other side of the industrial harbor. Their paellas are of a different league - try the duck paella for example, perfectly mixing the taste of meat and rice. Plus, the chef is super friendly, and she really communicates a true passion for what she does....

Fuimos a comer siete personas, pedimos algunos entrantes y paella y arroz de tuétano. Estaba todo muy bueno, y la camarera que nos atendió, Míriam, fue muy amable en todo momento. Volveré.

Bonito restaurante, pegado a la playa, salón y terraza muy acogedor. Buen servicio de mesa y sobre todo buena cocina. Los arroces muy recomendable. Una buena elección.

El sitio y servicio de 10, para repetir sin duda. Siendo crítico, la comida me pareció que no estaba a la altura del resto de cosas. Pedimos varios entrantes: pan con alioli y tomate, buñuelos de bacalao, chipirones fritos y unas tellinas. Todo bien pero nada emocionante (tellinas y el pan, de lo mejor. A los chipirones les sobraba la salsa pero estaban ricos) Con los arroces llevábamos expectativas muy altas: la mayoría veníamos de Madrid así que pedimos para compartir paella valenciana y arroz con pato. Hay que llamar para reservarlos. Aquí fue la mayor decepción. El punto del arroz estaba perfecto, faltaba un poquito de socarrat. Del de pato, casi no se veía ni el foie ni el protagonista del plato, pero la cagada vino con la paella valenciana. Los ingredientes estaban bien, pero el arroz estaba súper salado. Doy por hecho que en un sitio así será algo puntual. No tomamos postre ni vino/cervezas y la cuenta fue de unos 30€/persona y salimos bastante llenos. Calidad precio, para repetir, a estos sitios merece la pena darles una nueva oportunidad. Comunicamos lo del arroz y vinieron a pedirnos disculpas y a invitarnos a algún chupito por el agravio. En Madrid por 30€ no te vas ni a la vuelta de la esquina!

Siempre que he ido hemos pedido paella valenciana, y esta vez probamos arroz del señoret, que aunque estaba muy bueno, me sigo quedando con la paella. Las albondigas de bacalao siempre hay que pedirlas. El local y servicio de 10.

Really beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views of the sea. Service at the restaurant was good. Reservations failed to reserve the Valencia Paella (that required a 24 hour pre-booking) Food was good, Not incredible. Croquettes were huge and crispy, but close to fridge cold inside. Paella Senyoret was tasty, but lacked the socarrat (crispy caramelised edges) that I’ve come to expect with great paella. Overall a great experience. Lunch for two was €58, which is good value for ambiance, food abs service.

Fuimos cuatro adultos a comer. Íbamos con unos amigos de Zaragoza y yo había estado varias veces en este restaurante. Quería que se quedasen con una buena impresión. Nunca había pedido anteriormente paella valenciana, sino otro arroz y otras cosas de la carta y me disgustó que la paella no estuviera como pensaba que estaría, ya que en las anteriores ocasiones generalmente estaba todo bastante bueno. El arroz sin sabor, la carne poco hecha, por dentro algunos trozos pollo y conejo estaban sin hacer. Daba la sensación de que la carne se había sofrito por un lado y que se había añadido más tarde, con lo que el arroz no absorbe el sabor de la carne. Capa demasiado fina de arroz, no comparto la idea de capa taaaan fina que se vea hasta el recipiente, y un pelín duro. Sin embargo las croquetas de gamba muy bien y los buñuelos de bacalao bien. El postre (torrija) muy bueno. La atención recibida muy bien y el espacio también.

***NOTE: the menu was in Spanish and I do not speak Spanish, therefore I ordered four dishes quite randomly. This may be why I didn't find all the food to my liking!*** Friendly staff, mixed thoughts on the food. We had a very friendly host. She didn't speak much English and I do not speak much Spanish, but together we got through the process just fine. The food, however, was hit and miss. The ensalada rusa was was superb and I wish I had their recipe so that I could recreate it at home. We also had two different types of croquettes and one of them was quite average. I'd say it was simply under seasoned. The langoustine croquettes were very tasty with the sweet chilli sauce. The fried squid and baby octopus was the biggest disappointment. It came with some aioli/mayo but it didn't cut through the fried nature of the food. It needed some lemon wedges for squeezing over. As a result, we just had a large dish of fairly bland fried seafood. Not particularly good. The selection of Mahou beers here was a pleasant surprise. I opted for the Radler which is very refreshing. All in all, I think my menu selections could have been better, but I can only comment on what was put in front of me.

Teníamos reserva a las 15:00, pero llegamos antes a la zona y no tuvieron ningún problema en sentarnos antes, algo que se agradece. Además, por la mañana nos llamaron para dejar cerrado el arroz que queríamos, en nuestro caso un arroz meloso de bogavante y pulpo, lo cual nos pareció un buen detalle de organización. Como entrantes pedimos tellinas, que estaban espectaculares, sin duda de las mejores que he probado nunca. También pedimos croquetas de gamba roja, pero lamentablemente tuvimos que devolverlas en dos ocasiones porque estaban congeladas en su parte central. El principal problema llegó con el arroz. El bogavante estaba claramente pasado, con un color verdoso, muy poca carne y completamente deshecha, y además el arroz no llevaba pulpo. Tras comentarlo, uno de los responsables nos indicó que ya no hacían arroz con pulpo, algo que no entendimos, ya que esa misma mañana nos lo habían ofrecido por teléfono y seguía figurando así en la carta. Finalmente, tras la queja, esperamos unos 30 minutos a que nos prepararan de nuevo el arroz, esta vez incluyendo pulpo. Aunque a esas alturas ya no teníamos mucha hambre, he de decir que el arroz mereció la pena: estaba muy bueno. Lo pedimos para llevar y nos cobraron los dos tuppers. No era la primera vez que visitaba este restaurante, pero después de todo lo ocurrido me voy con bastante mal sabor de boca. Una experiencia con luces y sombras que, sinceramente, me hace dudar si volvería.

Bonito local y muy buen servicio, la comida es muy mejorable, soy valenciano y es comida que cocino todas las semanas en casa, el punto del arroz perfecto pero sin socarrat eso no se puede perdonar, la torrija está buena, la carta de vinos de baja calidad, y estando en valencia que no sepan hacer un cremaet y me sirvan un carajillo de ron, sin palabras.

Its 4.1 rating must be based on the beach location and appearance of a high class restaurant. The view is nice but not spectacular. And the staff was very pleasant which is rare in these types of restaurants. But the food was quite bad. Our paella was overcooked in sections and undercooked in other sections and the marisco was very rubbery. The boniato hummus was OK but lacked real flavor (a little more salt and/or feta cheese might have helped). The rioja was very good but we were remarkably surprised that both the tinto de verano and sangria were from a bottle and not homemade (we didn’t try either).

The food is just okay. Nothing really special for the hefty price tag if you consider how rude, racist and discorteous service they have got. We have visited this restaurant several times during at least 2 years and we can say its quality, innovation and specially their customer service are completely fading away. There are numerous other options in Valencia and its surroundings. Do not bother to visit this restaurant.
