Recensioni di Wirin Thai Restaurant Venice
For a bargain lunch, this is a fantastic choice. Wirin has the best Pad Thai I've had in a while and the yellow curry is also delicious. If you're looking for a Loi Krathong experience with dreamy Thai pop ballads playing in the background, Wirin isn't your place. This is all about the food. The restaurant ambiance is very sparse which is probably why it's so affordable. The plates are $6.25 each on the lunch menu as of Sept. 2014.
Very good Thai food with portions and prices you won't find anywhere in Venice! I often get the $6 lunch special and leave very satisfied. Their boba is pretty good as well.
We love Thai food and shop around. Prices were great!! Food was really good. I asked for Tom Yum Shrimp Spicy (no tails). The order was up quick and damn son... It was hot🔥!! When you ask for hot at Thai some places you get Taco Bell hot. Def not this one! It was just like I wanted. Just moved to the beach neighborhood and was looking for good Thai. Found it!
My go to take out in Venice. The pumpkin curry with chicken is an absolute must. Best thai in Venice
This place always hits 'the spot' and their customer service is way better than most other thai restaurants as well. It's refreshing. Parking is a little tight, but definitely give this place some business when you have a thai food craving. Fair prices as well! Hard to go anywhere around LA and find an entree for under 10 dollars. Thanks Wirin Thai!
Excellent Thai Food 1. Amazing curries and rice options 2. Spring rolls are fantastic, they are the mini version of the springrolls, so you get more in the serving. 3. Eggplants, bamboo, pumpkin curries are truly amazing (yet to try other dishes) 4. >5 visits in a span of 6 months. 5. Parking on the backside 6. Their brown/wild rice combo is delicious, better than other places. 7. Low key hangout, not too fancy. 8. Prices are very reasonable
I hope the rest of my experiences with this place are as good as the first! My food was delivered and the entree was absolutely incredible. A lot of restaurants can make shrimp wrong but the shrimp in my dish were super tasty plus the vegetables were crisp, fresh and delicious.
This is a hole in the wall restaurant seems a little weird at first, but then you eat and wow this is just amazing Thai food family owned, and I am very picky when it comes to Thai food!!! Eat here!!!
I eat here almost everyday I work and I love it! The food is FANTASTIC, the prices are great, and the people are extremely kind! They also have hands down some of the best Thai tea and green Thai tea I’ve ever had 😍😍😍
We ordered red curry, green curry, dumplings, two different fried rice and noodles. Everything was delicious and the service was soo fast! Tony was a great host.
So much delicious food! Portions are generous, Pad Thai and Panang Curry were fantastic. Best for takeout, ambiance inside wasn’t great but this is my new go-to! Thank you!
This is the best Thai food I've ever had. I've been to probably 30 spots all around Los Angeles and this is number one. Best yellow chicken curry of all time. Wish I didn't live so far away.
I love their pad thai, yellow curry, and thai ice tea. They always have my takeout on time, even early. Everything is still hot, taste good and for the price, it's unbeatable! Cheapest in the area. Worth the money! So if you ever wanted to taste Thai food, just pick this place.
So we just got to Los Angeles after 3 days of driving from Miami Florida and we need some authentic food. Living in Marina del Rey, Google Maps points me to a Thai restaurant nearby. In our house we always say trust Waze and trust Google so we drove over to check it out. Only one person or group is allowed in the front door at a time to order. It seems that ordering ahead of time online will save you 10 to 15 minutes. Once you order you step back outside and wait. The gentleman will bring you your order as soon as it is ready. They do not have massimon, which is a bummer because it is my favorite Thai curry. However I tried the pumkin, which may or may not be related to a pumpkin of Halloween fame. It was absolutely delicious. Just the right balance of sweet and savory. I specifically went after the vegetable version of this because we had three days of eating garbage and drive-thrus and my body was craving some vegetables. I actually think I got the best dish possible for this particular curry. I also strongly recommend the boba drink of the day. It is very reasonably priced and extremely tasty.
Pumpkin Curry, Beef Jerky , Dumplings with that sauce!!! The only time I have had anything like that lovely sauce is in Thai-town. My favorite Thai places around Venice/Mar Vista area is Wirin. Then I like Siam Chan. I feel those two restaurants have some personal goodness and style given to their food.
My partner and I get takeout from Wirin every week. This is the best Thai place around! We love the spicy mint noodles, pad thai, curries, and sautés. Flavor is amazing and portions are huge!
I can't say a thing bad about this wonderful Tiny restaurant. Delicious food, Served fast from a kind staff. I've dined in and taken out Several times and on every occasion, my order was fast and thorough.
This is a tiny hole in the wall place that you would probably drive by without noticing pretty much any day of the week. But look for it, and be prepared for some really good Thai food. It's not much to look at but if you're only looking for Ambiance and you don't care for the actual quality or authenticity of regional food then you probably want to go someplace else. Parking is a little bit of a challenge but once inside with your friends having excellent conversation and great Thai food... You're Going To Forget Where You Are! Huge quantities on a plate, enough so that virtually everyone will have to take a box home and the price is excellent! There were lots of people doing take out while we were there so don't be afraid to do that either because apparently the locals have figured this one out.
Amazing prices. Amazing service. Amazing food. 10/10. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
Great whole in the wall Thai food. Lunch specials are a steal, soup salad, and your choice of entree. Around 8 bucks. They also serve beer and wine. It's small place and parking can default.
Had not been to Wirin in awhile, got the vegetable soup with tofu on Friday the 13th, it was amazing, very healthy, not salty, lots of vegetables , way better than other Thai places in the neighborhood for half the price . Will be back.
Tried this place post Costco, very glad I did, absolutely delicious! You MUST order the Tom ka soup
At first I wasn't sure cuz then decided to give it a try and soooooo glad I did. This is some of the best thai food at an amazing price that I've had. Their shrimp egg rolls were perfectly fried with the shrimp perfectly plump and juicy! The pad see ew was seasoned and balanced then the BBQ ribs was like you were invited to the Asian cookout. Sweet, smokey, falling off the bone juicy. I have no photos at the moment because I was too busy eating this incredible food. You don't want to miss out on this place!
We’ve lived on the west side for nearly 6 years now and this is our go to spot. The yellow curry is UNBEATABLE! The portions are huge, the prices are affordable, and they deliver too. This is one of those spots that I always make my friends and family get when they visit town and we want a chill night in. Give ‘em a try!
A gem of a find in Venice and incredible value. The food is really good as well. It's a small, run-down looking mom and pop place, and only has a few booths, but it's clean, the food is delicious and the portions are generous. Definitely recommend.
I’ve been eating take out from this place for over a year and they have always been nice, good prices, and delicious food.
We honestly get takeout from here like once per week! The food is consistently good, fresh, and hot (temp). I have no idea how it compares to authentic Thai cuisine, but I always enjoy it. Employees are great as well!
That Bomb bomb, Super Fire is the review for this place!!! The Yellow Curry, mixed in with the Pad Thai and Pork Fried Rice is my mouths' new safe place🫠The Seafood Soup not spicy is fresh with an amazing broth. BBQ Chicken and Honey BBQ ribs are KILLER GOOD!! Great Prices so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! #venicelocalsreview #thaifoodjunkies
Lunch date with my son fell through and we were driving by and decided to try this place. Really happy we did. Lots of selections on the menu. Spouse had Panang curry and rice. I had spicy mint with chicken. Yummy!! Lunch portions were pretty good sized. Great conversation with the owner as well. We are flying back into LAX next month. Can't wait to stop by again!
The best Tom Kha in the area. Great food, can't recommend enough. The parking situation could be better, but that describes pretty much every place in Los Angeles. I've found places with better parking, but the food just isn't on the same level. The atmosphere is "average, authentic takeout spot with a dining area". Have I seen more polished Thai places? Sure. Is the food as good? Absolutely not. Not even close. No disrespect, but you can have all the saltwater fishtanks you want, I'm still going to pick the place that serves the best food, and so far, Wirin Thai is the winner in my book.
Just awesome. The food here is really well done. I've had the spicy rice and the yellow curry, and both dishes were just out of this world. The staff are accommodating, and the prices are great. Don't bring first dates here, this is the kinda gem you make em wait for.
It’s 3:38pm on a Tuesday, the Venice sun is beating down and I haven’t eaten all day. What I am about to experience is something I haven’t been able to process...TO THIS DAY. I pull up Google maps on my phone and blandly type “food” in the search bar. Scrolling through the list of restaurants, one listing jumps out at me: Wirin Thai. The restaurant is described as “unassuming spot for Southeast Asian fare”. They had me at hello. I knew this was my kind of place the minute I walked through the door. Lucky for me, the lunch special runs from 11-4. Just in time. I ordered the yellow curry and chose pork as my protein. What happened next...well is something words cannot explain. This meal triggered one of the most euphoric food related experiences I’ve ever had. Savory, a hint of sweetness, perfectly prepared. The food was that perfect temperature ya know? Hot but not burn the roof of your mouth hot. The texture was perfect and the rice served with was just the right amount of sticky. 100% will be back.
My wife and I forgot to take pictures of the dishes when they arrived because they smelled so good we just started eating everything like barbarians. The portions also rightly presupposed we were starving and even then we had to take some leftovers home. My wife is also really picky and even she loved the flavors. We decided this is our new Thai spot!
Panang and papaya salad were the best I’ve ever had! Serving size is perfect and the price is fair. Definitely recommend eating here.
This place is great, really happy to have stumbled upon it. Big fan of Thai food and can confirm that everything we had was really fresh and used excellent quality ingredients. Plus, their portions are huge for a really reasonable price that you don’t see anymore in LA these days. Attentive and kind service, small restaurant with free parking on lot. Definitely recommend if you want casual, great Thai food that’s wallet-friendly and will leave you with delicious leftovers/next day’s lunch!
Phenomenal Thai food. Fresh and delicious. Some of the best I've had. Service is slow at times and the atmosphere is merely acceptable. However the exception food more than makes up for these shortcomings and if you're getting take-away these issues are irrelevant. I've dined in three times and it's well-enough. Don't pass up the food; it's GREAT.
The decor is a little light, but the food is excellent. Good flavor and portions, good prices, and very friendly staff. One of the better Thai restaurants in LA
Seriously, this place is soooooo good. My favorites are Pad Thai w/ Shrimp, Pork and Green Beans and their yellow curry with chicken is awesome. I tend to place this same order every time because I can't get enough but I'm sure everything on the menu is great. They are nice, quick, clean and affordable on top of it. Love it this place.
My son and I went here on Christmas. It was one of very few restaurants open. Nothing fancy. The food is amazing. The portions are huge. I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp. I lt looks like I hardly ate any of it. Yummy left overs my son is a vegetarian and had the Tofu Pad Thai. He enjoyed that as well. We started out with some egg rolls. Be careful not to burn yourself on these. Ha ha. Real fresh and HOTT!!
I love coming here and never had a bad experience. Good prices especially in an area so gentrified it's such a relief to get some fresh food at a normal price. I have ordered curries, soups, salads, dumplings, fish cake, thai tea. Everything has always tasted great. My food is always ready within 10 or 15 minutes. It's my go to place for takeout in the Venice area.
This is my FAVORITE Thai joint! I’ve tried to get something new on the menu each time I visit and I a constantly and absolutely wowed by each new dish I try! It’s soooo tasty! This place is the most reasonably priced place I eat at hands down! Such amazing prices. You cannot get better food for cheaper, it’s just not possible! Service is local, consistent and so friendly! Tony and JJ always take the best care of me and we have pleasant chats when it’s not too busy. This place is tiny and super quaint. They used to have sticky varnish on the tables and honestly this was the only minor complaint I could have had, but they have now refinished the tables so it’s absolutely lovely to sit and enjoy the amazing food here! This place is an unassuming gem!!!
Best Thai food on the Westside and at reasonable prices. There spicy eggplant is cooked perfectly every time.
Amazing chang mai noodles (Khai Su), and everything is good and reasonably priced.
This place is way better than Natalee. Yeah, Not as pretty but who needs pretty when the food is OG quality and the service is top shelf. I've eaten at a LOT of Thai restaurants in West LA and most of hem water down the flavors for the neighborhood or it's just flat out bland. Wirin is the BEST THAI spot on the Westside bar none. I love this place.
My new favorite Thai food spot! I always order yellow curry so that’s what my review is based on. I am vegetarian so chose it with tofu. I had additional requests and they came through. I asked to make it mild and leave onions out and add vegetables too. Got everything I asked for about $15 out the door ! Sauce was thick and tasty, rice included. Atmosphere wasn’t the best but I had my food to go anyway. Waited about 15 minutes. Worth every minute and penny. We found parking in the back.
WOW. Seriously the best Thai food I've ever had. And I've eaten at many many Thai places. Panang curry was super thick and creamy and delish. Pineapple fried rice, papaya salad and stir fried garlic seafood also delicious. The seafood entree had generous portions of scallops. Also, large portions. I was able to eat 3 meals on just one entree. We dined in but it's mostly a take out place. 5 stars!!!!
You wouldn't know it, but this unassuming. Small Thai restaurant on Lincoln boulevard in Venice, California serves up some of the best Thai food you will ever eat. I had yellow curry with tofu that came with the incredible fried rice. My partner had red curry with chicken and we will definitely come back again. Amazing beautiful food
I’ve been coming here with a friend for many many years. It’s affordable, good food, and they give good size portions. The people seem humble and nice. The ambiance needs work, but they’re not charging the overpriced rates others do, so I let it slide. I haven’t found a dish I didn’t like and they have lots of vegan options. The curries are amazing. If you want good food on a budget, it’s an awesome place for that.
This is a little whole in the wall with amazing food & service, extremely friendly staff. We went there 10 min before closing and it wasn't a problem at all with them, food was ready to go with in 15 min. They new we were ordering for our little dog also and new Exactly How to do boiled chicken no seasoning. They treated her great when she came in with us to pick up the food. The prices seem like they haven't changed them in 10 years so Reasonable $70 food for 4-5 people. It was so good we decided to get it again the second night in town but this time we had it delivered. We had are food in about 30 min the portions are so large we over ordered both time's 🤣 but seemed to finish it all 🤩
Was in a hotel nearby for a few days and read reviews online. Came to small famiky owned business and so glad I did! Great fresh plates with generous amounts! Look at pictures of what we had left over! I will be returning to try their many dishes in the next couple of days! Please support this small and unique business as they deserve all the business they can get.
Every time I eat here, I'm happy. Little place but nice clean tables, easy parking, friendly service and inexpensive great thai food. One of my favorite places on this side of town. I had green curry with chicken on the dinner special. The chicken tofu soup, fried rice, and salad comes with it. Just awesome. Great spot. Great food.
Easy to order over phone. Menu easy to find on website. Food delicious - good selection, taste quite good Duck fried rice was a hit, but rest of food really good too. And the papaya salad was a little spicy - really good. Will order again
Wirin Thai has some of the best Thai food you will find in the City and for a super reasonable price. It is a little place with only a few booths. Most people either have their food delivered or they call and pick up, but we love eating there. Because most people do take away, there is usually a place to sit in this little gem. Don't let the exterior fool you. It had the cutest cat mural on it and some idiots decided to tag it and the sign. This little place has been struggling since Covid and they are not going to put money right now into replacing the sign, which was so nice. The service is just great. Everyone is so nice. This is a family owned business. They have a great menu and their lunch specials are great. There is nothing we have had there that we don't like and I think we have pretty well completed the menu. They have these great egg rolls with shrimp, and they are not little Bay shrimp, but nice big shrimp stuffed into an eggroll. Their Pad Thai is amazing and we really love their BBQ duck rice. All the soups are good. You will love this place. Parking is on the street and you will find a spot. It is little, so don't miss it, right on the corner of Venice Blvd. and Lincoln in Venice, CA. Try it.
Tasty, friendly, no-frills Thai food. Would recommend for a quick bite if you’re in Venice. Mostly locals & takeout.
The outside of the restaurant is a little run down with graffiti on the sign, but don’t let that stop you. We ordered the orange chicken and pineapple fried rice, both of which were delicious. The pineapple fried rice had more of a curry flavor than expected but was still delicious. I will definitely order from here again and am excited to explore the menu.
I LOVE Thai food so much. It’s my favorite food! This joint is one of the best, and I’ve tried so many in LA. Not fancy, but local and delicious. You get a good bang for your buck here! Thank you Wirin Thai Restaurant, we will continue to come back.
Very tasty, friendly staff but the only issue we had was the starter came later than the main course. We were very hungry 😀
Got the pumpkin curry and papaya salad. Portions were great and planned to have leftovers but wound up eating all of it. Great flavor! Did pickup which was fast and easy. Would definitely go back and try something else.
It’s really Thai food! Amazing tasty.
We ordered yellow curry, sweet sour chicken, and spicy basil eggplants, and all of them are tasty and fresh. Small place. Nice service. Good price for lunch special, $9.95.
Fantastic, authentic food. Great service. We got the Tom kha kai, veggie dumplings, Chiangmai noodle curry, and mango sticky rice. All great. Reasonable prices too.

A hidden gem! Delicious and honest Thai food and very fair prices. Family run. We love it. If you want a sense of classic old-school Venice, eat in the restaurant. If you get take-out, know that it will be packed with care!
I love Wirin! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I'm a big fan of their duck dishes, and their salad and duck curry are excellent. The Tom kha soup is the best I've ever had.

All I ordered was a chicken pad thai, but it was fresh, tasty and nice and hot when I picked it up. The place looks funky from the outside but was clean inside. Owner/couple working there was friendly and the prices are reasonable. Will try other dishes!
The place is small, but kept clean. They have good lunch specials that come with egg rolls, salad and soup! Try their desserts, as well! Located in a busy intersection, this business does have its own parking lot in the back. There's also street parking, but check the signs, the ones right by the restaurant are 1 hour only with some other restrictions put in!
Good food, super accommodating I came in or lunch and was sad that the green curry wasn't listed as a lunch special, but they said no problem and gave it to me. While there I saw this kind of make the customer happy attitude happen over and over again. One customer even asked for the lunch special no salad and upgrade to Tom Kha soup.
2-19-24: First things first, the food - delicious, and nice size servings! The ribs, pad thai, shrimp fried rice, bbq chicken, steamed dumplings, Chinese Broccoli, & the Eggplant. Best food that I have had at a restaurant in a while! Our service was quick, we were not rushed to finish, and my party of 3 each agreed we will definitely be back. Service was attentive , and pleasant. Decor basic. Still, Wirin is a huge WIN! If you not up to cooking at home, eat here or take out; confident that you will enjoy.
Others are correct: the ambiance is not exactly luxurious, but the food is on point. Pineapple fried rice was tasty and did have some curry notes. Panang curry was delicious. Noodle with mint (added broccoli) was good too / was similar to Pad see ew, though i would not recommend the beef with it as it was fairly flavorless. Would come back!
Small place looks like more suited for take out. We did dine in, but we're the only one's in the restaurant the entire time. No bathroom for customers, and no alcohol except some type of foreign beer. All food was excellent except the chicken satay, which was rubbery. Curry dishes and soup, all very flavorful and fresh.
Hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant. There was a short wait to be seated, but once inside, service was fast. A bit too rushed, perhaps. It was clean and pretty basic, as you might expect. We got some flat noodles with tofu, which was good, but rather oily. The red curry with red snapper was the best dish. The chicken satay was also good. The chef's special #3 was below expectations. The salmon was dry and the soup was somewhat gelatinous. The prices were very reasonable.
This is a cool place with low prices and they made the food really fast. But the taste and quality of the food was below average for Thai food. We had my staple Thai dishes: chicken panang, chicken pad Thai, and Thai tea. The quality was not great, but it still tasted good. Both my girlfriend and I felt a little unwell afterwards, but nothing crazy. I probably wouldn’t go back, but it was a good experience anyway.
This is a hole in the wall kinda place, nothing fancy. We came based on the reviews. We ordered red curry with chicken, pad see ew with pork, spicy chicken wings, a chef’s special and mango sticky rice. The portion was big for all of them and the price was cheap for the amount of food we got. Chicken with Red curry wasn’t really “red” but the flavor was good. It has a strong coconut taste. Pad see ew flavor was good, the noodles could be a bit more chewy. Spicy chicken wings were unexpected. The Thai wings i had in the past were mostly dry but these ones had a lot of sauce. The wings were over-fried and the hot sauce smell was over powering. The chef’s special (C2) came with so many types of meat. I didn’t really like the chicken. The ribs were good. The beef jerky were the best out of all the ones we got. It’s a good dish to try everything. We had to have Mango sticky rice for dessert. Mango was fresh but sticky rice was a bit dry. Overall, it’s worth the visit for the price.
Looking for quality Thai food with great service this is your spot, the place is a bit cramped with only 5 tables. The parking is also very limited. But you will forget all of that once you try their food. We had the Pad Thai, Red Curry & Cashew Chicken. The best part is the price you can't beat the lunch specials which go till 4pm.
Beef Wellington was conspicuously absent from the laminated, aged menu at Wiring Thai Restaurant in Venice Beach. We're not in Essex anymore gentlemen. It's time for supple yellow curry and earthen pad Thai, people. An exchange takes place between the hungry and the giver, where both parties are in blazen accord and both parties part ways amicably. Now that's capitalism, with an edgy, gritty building and a "sus" back-alley parking situation.

Hadn't been here in years since we no longer pass this way. That's gonna change. Visited for dinner last night these guys deserve your business. They did a great job redecorating. The service is great. The food is awesome. Portions are generous. But most of all, the prices are extremely reasonable. In this age of skyrocketing costs, they've managed to keep themselves in my price range. Honestly just about everyone else has not. Reward these guys for their efforts. Get out there now!

In this age of skyrocketing costs, they've managed to keep themselves in my price range. Honestly just about everyone else has not. Reward these guys for their efforts. Get out there now!
The prices are good and the portions are large but the food is pretty bland. I got a noodle dish with chicken and tofu. The tofu was good but the chicken tasted a little old
Great food! Really very good! But everything else was below normal. Dirty floor, a pile of junk stuff on one of the tables. The receipt was for money than their menu prices. My husband didn’t want to check it in details, but we all were disappointed with such an inaccuracy. Also portions are not that big, as many people wrote here.
Hidden away at near the intersection of Venice Blvd and Lincoln is this tiny spot. It’s great for takeout but eating in is crowded and small. It’s location is terrific. I had the pad Thai, sate, BBQ ribs and spring rolls. I ate in and was annoyed our watier was on the phone taking orders. To be quite frank the pad Thai was bland!
5 Stars for customer service 5 stars for value. The soups are 6 stars. The portions are all big enough for 2. Was a bit underwhelmed with flavors of the dishes I ordered but I would still encourage people to try as I have only gone once.
Just ok. The food was fine, nothing special. The waitress was not very friendly and often ignored us. I've had much better Thai food and will not be returning.
I ordered delivery from this place for the second time. The food is cheap, but tastes pretty bland. The pad thai was really dry & plain and the noodles were overdone. The pineapple fried rice tasted like a yellow curry and was pretty good. The calamari didn't taste fresh. Overall, if you are looking for something that is cheap and don't care to be impressed this place isn't bad. If you are looking for great Thai food, I would look elsewhere.

I judge a Thai restaurant by its green curry. Check out the photo. I’ll need to continue my search for great Thai food in the west side. Basil Noodles with shrimp was good 7/10.
Great food, great prices but I used to eat inside until Covid and it was nice (except a little too bright). Now they allow eating in on one side of the restaurant but unfortunately, the view is a pile of boxes and junk on the opposite side of the room. If they'd only clean it - there's really not much to tidy up but it looks terrible, especially when you're there to eat. When I asked if they'd do something, a lady replied "oh no, no, no!" - people are strange!
The iced milk tea is the best thing on the menu. The spicy chicken wings are a waste of time...straight from freezer and into the fryer, then dump in sauce. The soup is creamy, but no real taste of anything no lemon grass or cilatro just a lot of mushrooms and shrimp. They do take the gi track out of the shrimp here at least (they over cook the shrimp). The rad na with 2 different brocolis does not improve the taste...the gravy is soupy thin with no real taste. The yellow curry was creamy again no taste. This crab cakes tasted old and not fresh, where is the plum sauce not with my order the whole thing was disappointing and sad tasting. Where are the chili oil, vinagar, fish oil and sugar? Boo This place is perfect for people who are afraid of different spices and taste. The blandist thai food place i have ever had. The iced thai milk tea though was the best i have ever had! Too bad though waste of time and still hungry. Not only the shytest thai resturant but also the rudest people. This is a joke resturant ran by sad people who cant cook, not even their nations dishes.
Service here is literally always horrible. Some days the food is really good, some days it's not. Definitely not for people looking for authentic Thai food. Their Boba however is amazing. The waitresses are rude and don't understand any questions you ask them. There's not much variety in the menu. I really don't know what else to say.
Very dry meat (overcooked then reheated), fake lime juice in the papaya salad, no mint in the mint noodle dish. Below average all around, with a noisy environment and unfriendly server. It's shocking that this place has such a high rating!
I would not recommend this place. When I first discovered it, I get excited as I do with Thai restaurants because I love Thai food. I tell all my friends about it and want to order daily. But this place, unfortunately has lost my loyalty and business. They messed up on my order several times, i've tried to be patient but because they are unwilling to do anything to correct it, I cannot give them any more of my business. I recently ordered again and found issues with my order and when called, they just responded that there is nothing they can or will do. So on to another thai restaurant, this has permanently lost my business and will no longer send friends or colleagues.
As someone who has actually lived in Thailand for years, save your money. Then again, if you're the average American consumer, this food may be ok for you. But its not proper Thai, not even close. Soup tastes like it came from a can, curries the same. Just because you make it spicy doesn't make it good. I love love love spicy. But there's zero depth of flavor. All flash, no substance.
Food Poisoning!!! I used to like this place a lot. But it all changed yesterday. My husband is still sick after eating their Pad Z-Ew with shrimp. He is feeling super bad, and I would like to warn others. This definetly was our last time to order from Wirin Thai
The people here are really nice. But the food was really bad. My Thai fried rice was so bad. It's one of the worst fried rice dishes I ever had. No flavor at all. I had to wait to get home to season it myself. The Cilantro in the rice looked days old. The other dish basil chicken was so bad my partner threw it out he couldn't eat it. I have only been to this place a few times the food was ok not great last time but it's definately gone down hill. Everytime I go the parking lot has some drug addict lurking in by the cars doing drugs or looking what car they can break into. I'm a foodie so I am not sure if the good reviews here are people who just don't know good food or have no taste buds. Very disappointing I would not return her. The inside is old and run down.
I’m only doing this to fight back the 4.5 stars narrative and to prove that the average American or person does not know what’s going on. The food was not at all authentic in any manner, if anyone says so it’s really oblivious. I’m not sure if the owners of the Chef are from Thailand, but even then it tasted very un authentic. So I am not sure why people are giving it five stars, it seems like Unintelligent people live in this part of town or people who’ve never tasted authenticity. Service is fine, and people are nice, but that does not change the fact that you can open up a restaurant and call it Thai food when it’s actually not. I’m disappointed with the food. And I strictly speak about the food. I’m being honest.
