Recensioni di Beach House Tacos Ventura
My wife and I absolutely loved this place. Our plan was to spend a few days in Ventura and eat at a different place every day. However, we started with Beach House Tacos and never left. Our first night was Monday night and we loved the ahi tacos. Seafood burritos the next day were amazing. Our final night we enjoyed happy hour appetizers at the bigger restaurant which was delicious. It is not easy to find a place that is right on the beach, reasonably priced, and so tasty. The little details like grilling a burrito shell and stuffing the burrito with shrimp went a long way towards putting this place over the top. Being right on the water and eating amazing food at a great price was a wonderful experience. We look forward to revisiting Ventura and enjoying Beach House Tacos. Keep up the great work!
Favorite fish taco place in California! Their early California fish taco is delicious! Always a long line, so you know it’s good. Great view and seating when eating. Each order is for a single taco though, so recommend two. Burritos are great too!
Highly recommend this restaurant for someone looking for a quick bite. They have some good vegetarian options on the menu. The crispy potato tacos are flavorful and filling. The burrito bowls are delicious too. Their pineapple aqua fresca was refreshing and a great accompaniment. Definitely drizzle some of their herbanero and spicy sriracha sauces on your order, tastes delicious.
Food is great! Service excellent. As far as atmosphere you're on the Ventura Pier. Don't get much better than that. Have a happy hour and a brunch weekends only. Something like that.
The service in the food was excellent. Nice beach view.
The ahi taco might be the best I’ve ever had. It really reminds me of a spicy tuna roll. It’s not too spicy, but just enough flavor to add a kick. Salmon taco was alright, but left me wanting another tuna taco instead.
This place has been blessed by God and the food is so amazing 👏 The churro donuts are the best!!!! Lunch specials are great!! I love this place so much I hope it is still here after the fall of humanity because that's how good it is. Yippee 🤯
Love this place! I had heard it was really good food. But I had no expectation that it was going to be as excellent as it turned out to be. So fresh! And really tasty. Not your run-of-the-mill, Mexican food. I will definitely drive an hour she go there again, and again…
The fish and shrimp tacos were delicious and different. Almost like a blend of Mexican with Asian. Definitely a healthier taco than you'll get in a Mexican restaurant. Had about a 15 minute line-wait at noon, to order. But once ordered it was served quickly. Also nice semi enclosed area with seating to eat.
Shrimp burrito was so good I forgot to take a photo. I’ve been dreaming about this place for a year can’t wait to go back soon.
Update: I went back recently and everything was back to how I remembered it - absolutely delicious. Upgrading to 5 stars from 3. Love this place! Well, I used to, anyway. They changed their menu since I came here last (and I've been here a lot), and it's not for the better. The early California taco was delicious, now it is no more. They now only offer corn tortillas, which are more authentic, but the choice was nice. This was one of my favorite places to take visiting friends, now I think I'll skip it. Too bad.
Love how it's conveniently at the beach on the peer, employees was really nice
This is my favorite place to get tacos. They have a large variety, and they are all delicious. I love the potato taco. But there are many more to choose from
Enjoy some delicious tacos and beverages while looking out at the ocean. Life is good in Ventura!
Overall, I had a great experience!! The food was thoroughly delicious & plentiful; especially for the money & being right at the entrance to the Ventura Pier.
Great little taco shack on the Ventura Pier adjacent to the Beach House Fish restaurant. Beach House Tacos has ample covered patio seating as well as additional picnic tables that are not covered. Dogs are allowed in the covered patio area. There's almost always a line, so be patient. The food is delicious and portions generous. I had the ahi taco and grilled fish Baja taco with a spicy chipotle crema. Both came with generous fish, cabbage, sauce and two corn tortillas. Also, everything is made to order. And they validate parking so your first two hours are free! Tasty food, nice setting, highly recommended!
I cannot say enough good things about th tacos here!!! The ahi tacos are life-changing. We have been coming to this place for years and have never been disappointed. We have tried most of their taco options and you really can't go wrong. They also have this really delicious warm banana dessert concoction that is a must have!! We make trips to Ventura specifically to come here and I have recommended this place to all of my friends. Please come support them!! They are following social distancing protocol and you can see them cleaning very frequently.
Love this place, I go about 3x a week for about a year now, they remember their customers, they know my order, super awesome friendly staff, the food is amazing, and this is the only place I eat meat, there location is a perfect spot to sit eat and watch the waves, while listening to good reggae music, and when it gets cold they light fires to keep you warm, it is also animal friendly so your dogs can enjoy some lunch with their family, if you're here visiting, this spot you will remember always
Hands down, one of the best fish taco places in town. I make a point to stop here whenever I am in the area. The fish tacos are killer and will not disappoint. But they have more than tacos! The Spicy Garlic Shrimp Burrito is my favorite. And don’t forget to grab a horchata and please don’t pass on the Churro Donuts, they are a game changer.
Decided to wait out the traffic before driving 2 1/2 hours back to Murrieta, so I took a walk down the pier and decided to bite the bullet and drop $20+ for a taco and a drink. I spent $12 and got the taco, a drink, chips and a big bowl of guacamole. It was an excellent veggie taco. And I am no vegetarian, trying to convince myself that veggie-everything is the best. Chips were thick and a little too crispy, but overall everything was really good. They have beer and margaritas as well.
Spicy garlic shrimp burrito is one of the best around. Can't beat the location either.
The elote chicken taco for $6 is delicious! I divide the filling between the two tortillas and voila, two tacos! Add a Tecate for $3 and where can you go wrong?! Best food on the beach!
After a bike ride happy hour tacos and a beer! were awesome!!!
This is an easy place to get to, 10 bucks parking in the garage next door and you're on the beach. Never too crowded, and the tacos are excellent and unique. I like the salmon taco with crunchy roasted pumpkin seeds.
Best tamales!! If you're lucky enough to go when they have them as a special I would recommend picking up a few. They're amazing!! I've had the shrimp and crab ones last week which were so delicious! I thought they couldn't get any better but then they have a Thanksgiving one right now with shredded turkey and mushroom gravy inside with Cranberry sauce as your "hot sauce". It's not spicy. These really hit the mark for a deconstructed Thanksgiving dish. It's seriously to die for!
The staff were friendly and the food came out quicker than expected. The view was amazing! Highly recommend the burritos. My husband got the shrimp burrito and I tried the grilled chicken, and carnitas burrito. All delicious because the salsas were on point. I loved the spicy red salsa. The green was mild and pico was also an option. This spot had the best burritos that we returned twice on our trip to Santa Barbara and then on way home!
Great fish tacos on the pier! They are not your traditional street tacos. They have a great assortment of fish and different garnishes to create a menu with great variety
Crispy Patato Taco! WOW Sitting outside on the pier in the warm sun eating a warm Taco..
Devin (sorry if the spelling is wrong) we had the best experience of all time with you at The Beach House Tacos. We went to many places but this was our go to spot for all our quick bite needs. We appreciate you coming through for us with that bubblegum popsicle. You made an amazing day and special memory for us on an epic trip. We highly recommend Beach House Tacos to everyone for exceptional food and service. Thank you Devin you are the best.
This is the spot if you wasn't a good taco fusion. The elote chicken taco is delish! Employees are friendly. Seating can be tricky but worth it to sit on the pier and listen to the surf while you enjoy a taco and a michelada
I would not consider myself a taco connoisseur but boy howdy these tacos were something beyond good. Specifically speaking I had the Baja Taco with grilled fish and the Elote Chicken Taco both of which were more than I expected. I've had tacos before and thought most are pretty much the same but these were way better than the typical ones I've had.
Omigosh these tacos made me SO happy! I ordered 4 tacos (for two) and ate the messy goodness on the beach nearby. The Baja taco is fantastic - get grilled fish! The chipotle crema is TO DIE FOR! The Marilu was giant and full of queso fresco, though I think it'd be best with grilled fish too. I also ordered the Calamari Taco and the Beach House. Such good flavor and generous fish portions in these tacos. I'll be back, Beach House Tacos!
With the insane cost of food in California right now, this place is an oasis. In terms of nutrition, most take out meals are 80% simple carbohydrates. I'm looking at my Beach House ahi tuna taco - and it's all fresh - 20% high quality (and delicious) protein and 70% vegetables!
Excellent tacos and location. Service is fast and friendly and the tacos are delicious and made fresh . We tried their shrimp grilled baha tacos and a ahi taco. Tacos were large and the fish was fresh and delicious . They offer a nice menu amd have Daily specials. The tacos were excellent. Well worth a visit. Loved it
This place is certainly not the cleanest, flashiest, or mistaken for the best service in town. However, their food is delicious and plentiful. They charge very reasonable prices and have a great assortment of fresh seafood tacos and burritos to choose from! The Ahi Tuna and Baja Shrimp tacos are totally addictive, so be careful.
You have to try the spicy Ahi Tuna Taco it was delicious! So many flavors. This restaurant is conveniently located on the entrance to the pier. Plenty of seating Service was speedy. Service was good Prices were reasonable View was excellent If you need to satisfy your sweet tooth try the fried banana. Recommend
I would give 5 stars as the food was great but I’m unsure if the wait we had today was normal or just crazy due to holiday weekend traffic or short staffing (didn’t appear to be incredibly busy, maybe 20 of us waiting in line) but I’ve never waited so long for a burrito or tacos in my life. We stopped by while heading up the coast expecting fairly quick service based on reading reviews but had a full hour of waiting in line until our food was ready (about 45 min in line, 15 waiting for food, orders were being called every 5-10 minutes, line barely moved). Also, not being from the area, didn’t expect $10 for parking but makes sense for being on the beach. Staff was nice, beautiful location, great food but delayed our trip by over an hour.
By far the best Baja Fish Taco I've ever had. Simply tortilla, fried fish, cabbage, and some killer sauce. Flavor for days! Two tacos are the perfect portion. Eating it while watching the California sunset out the window makes it 10 times better. The wait is also great! I get to dig into my tacos in a max of 15 minutes.
Pretty good tacos, but we also ordered chips and guac and they were stingy with the chips. Their margaritas were also light on the alcohol. The atmosphere is cool though as it's at the beginning of the pier, and there is good music and people watching. It was good for a quick bite but next time I'll try a different restaurant on the pier.
We have been to this place many times. We usually get tacos. Today we got a burrito. They were ok and seemed like they were just missing the mark. We always enjoy the taco tho. Staff is. Ice and love the patio enclosure to minimize the wind. A great place have lunch and we will be back
I always enjoy the food here. Being a vegetarian, I am use to a limited selection, but they do a pretty good job here. Today we had a calamari taco (substitute black beans), street corn, potato taco, grilled vegetable taco, and a deep fried banana for dessert. The drinks/beer selection is always good. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the line and the wait for your food.
The tacos are very delicious and the ingredients make them very different from the street tacos. I would recommend the Fried Fish Early California and Marilu(fried shrimp popcorn). They don't offer lime and guacamole/green/red sauce at the site, which I think is a downside as the fried fish got dry and not salty enough at some point during eating. Yet I really have to say they are really fresh and worth the wait. In the same light, Burritos are yummy but a bit of flavourless and too dry..wish they provide extra sauce so individuals can adjust the flavors.
Good food.the nachos were really good with some lemony chilli spice on it. 👍👍👍 We later ordered fried potatoes which were so so. They were not hot and crunchy, also the oil was smelling fishy. Looks like they fry veg and non veg in same oil. Vegetarians please be wary!!! They sanitize the tables and the seating after every customer, so felt safe to eat here.
Awe inspiring view ✔️ Aestheticaly pleasing presentation✔️ Good customer service ✔️ However this place is lacking key things any 🌮 place needs, a salsa bar, free salsa, and Good Mexican flavor. Overall though, this place is good for the drinks and the view, but don't expect quality Mexican food. I recommend they give out salsa for free, and season their food better.
Tasty food at an affordable price. The grilled shrimp burrito was a hit with my friends. I love calamari, so I got the calamari burrito. It was deep fried and the breading was a bit much for the burrito. I recommend going with a grilled option. A friend got the carnitas taco plate which was excellent. The Beach House is on the pier so the views and vibe are great. They offer plenty of shaded outdoor seating options. Nearby parking in a neighboring ramp is only $2/hour.
Decent spot! Tacos are huge!!! I usually a sashimi person but, the Ahi Tuna was very rare. Definitely ask for more cooked if you don't care for that. It could have been a little fresher- something was a bit off with the taste but, I still ate it with no issues. The chips are hearty and the Guac was made fresh in house. Great value for your money- Next time I'll try the shrimp, I hear that is good also. The views are great! Make sure you come before noon to beat the lines. Pro Tip: They have punch cards and parking validation!
Coming from San Diego, we had huge expectations. The food is reasonable but they don't have salsa bar. It's good if you are in the area. Self serve: order at a window, wait for your number to be called, pick up food, beg for mini salsa cups and you get 2 at a time no matter how much you ask. We ordered 4 entrees and got 2 salsa. We asked for more and got 2 again. Their default tip for self serve and repeated requests for salsa is 15%. What are we tipping for? Location is great next to the pier. Paid parking to get here.
The tacos are flavorful. Didn't expect to like these so much especially after the cashier said it has raisins mixed in the meat. I don't know what else but thise flavors are still on my tounge, it was that good. A must try for everyone. The burrito we had was shrimp and calamari. It was okay, nothing special. Needed more flavor, more juices from the shrimp and calamari would have been great on top of the rice.
Staff are great, obviously the location is awesome. The breakfast burrito was alright but had a strange taste; not sure if it was the tortilla or the way it was cooked. The fish tacos are awesome, recommend them for sure. Try it out, see what you think!
Some of the food items were really good and a few of them were SO SALTY I couldn't even eat them. I ordered the ahi taco, shrimp early California, the chips & guacamole and a churro donut. I loved the ahi taco & churro but the early California was not shrimp but fried fish and the chips were overly salted along with the guacamole. I'd go back and try something different, but I will not be ordering the salty items again. The oceanview definitely was laid back and was nice to watch the sunset.
This is nice location to eat. Its looking over the water with a nice scenery. The inside is cool. Upstairs is for brewery seating only. The food is ok. I was expecting more of a fresh seafood taste.. it was still good tho. Lets just say it was all safe flavors. I did this the fish tacos tho. We got the halibut, clam chowder, fish tacos, and the poke bowl.
We went for lunch. The fish in my fish tacos was great. My daughter loved her calamari taco. My husband ordered the seafood burrito which he said was very good. I tried the rice and beans were not good, mushy and tasteless. The chips with the guacamole were so burnt that I couldn't eat them.
I went here based on the location and reviews but was disappointed. I had the shrimp tacos and they were NOT good. The "slaw" was red cabbage and there was a huge glob of the lime dressing at the bottom of the taco. I didn't count but I think there were 3-4 shrimp. For $7 if was 100% not worth it. On a positive note, the guacamole and chips were very good and you can't beat the location. That being said, I would not return here for the tacos.
I ordered the beach house taco and it was bland, no taste and a complete rip off at $8.08. Total rip off and not good at all. No sauce and Very little cabbage on it. This place is a joke. I will never eat at this place again.
Was 1 of our favorite taco places when we come to Ventura every summer. Not sure if it’s under new ownership? The menu has completely changed and the fish tacos were possibly the worst I ever had. The grilled fish was cold, dry and seem like it was hours b4. The churro donuts, which used to be insanely good, were burned in what tasted like dirty oil. Luckily there are plenty of other options in town.
This used to be one of our favorite locations to eat. They used to have so much different varieties of food to eat and choose from, And now it all seems like fast food. Everything is fried. There's no stake,or bake chicken or anything. There's no options for good food anymore this was the only reason we came here While you sitting at a beach was to have a nice dinner or lunch and enjoy the ocean waves 🌊
Came in for $2 baja fish tacos (Thursday Special) and the fried banana. Tacos were ok, there are definitely better fish tacos out there (found a hair in one of my tacos). If you're at the beach and looking for a quick bite, this place is for you. Overall, prices were decent, but food was nothing to write home about. 2 STARS....
Ordered 2 burritos. Both costs extra for meat added. Very little meat in either burrito. Carne Asada was very tiny fatty chewy pieces. Will not be going here again. Have been here a few times and never impressed and way too expensive for burritos that are mainly beans and rice.
Nice BUT you can literally get the same tacos with chips and a drink for waaaay less at Sea Fresh Channel Islands in Oxnard with the same view right on the water. Especially during these times it’s important to support business that actually give back to their costumers and not try to take every penny out of your wallet.
One star less if there was an option. Paid extra for meat. I asked if the food was good and the cashier lied and said “Always good!” Did not get any meat in my c street burrito. Bought a burrito for a friend also he threw up. Everyone eating in the dinner looked like where powering through there food with frowns and embarrassment. Wish I would have saved my $30.00 and got a bag of chips.
How do you get a greasy grilled fish taco??? Never han an issue and yoday i sent back a fried fish taco. Way too greasy and overcooked... opted for a grilled fish taco.It was still greasy and overcooked
To tell the truth, probably one of the worst fish tacos ever. Double cold tortillas. Some sort sauce that just makes a mess, and covers up any of what fish was in it. The fish, what little there was of it, had a crispy batter that was probably good until the bucket of sauce drown it. The fish could've been a premium fish, but without knowing for sure I'd hate to speculate if it was even a Saltwater species. Definitely not worth anywhere near $4.50 ea. Dirty sticky tables. Pigeons are everywhere. I usually don't go out of my way to make such a poor review, but $9.00 for 2 lousy tacos was something you might want to think about before standing in line for 15 to 20 minutes.
