This is a very good recommendation from my good friend who knows the owner. The onion King was awesome because I never thought sushi topped with fried onions tasted so good. The chef even came over to provide us special salmon (best from the neck) appetizers.

I'm thinking this is a family owned place because the people here are so sweet and attentive making it feel warm and inviting. Sorry I didn't get the name of our roll. If I figure it out I will label it. The fish was fresh, sake was cold and the time spent was good. What more could you ask for. I love baked mussels and theirs are delicious. The chef was so sweet and made us a mango orange dessert to finish. Will definitely try to find the name of the rolls because how frustrating is it when a dish looks great but you don't know what it is to order it, am I right? I really don't think you can go wrong with anything here.

Classy ambiance, authentic cuisine, prompt service—we sat at the bar and got our delicious food in under 15 minutes. The albacore tataki and Hot Night rolls were made with top-quality ingredients. A delightful surprise was a complimentary ceviche appetizer shared with everyone at the sushi bar. Always a treat; the best sushi experience in Paso Robles!

We arrived at Yanagi and were greeted warmly by the respectable sushi chefs. Very quickly I felt comfortable and knew this would be a good experience. The menu looked very detailed with tons of delicious option. The staff took our order and we received our food within 20 mins. They treated us kindly and the Salad Sashimi was excellent(see picture). 5/5 would recommend to come here again.

If you love sushi places, Yanagi was awesome. I really enjoyed their unique spin on rolls. There are some standards but many new things to try. I don't think there is a poor choice on the menu. A place to be adventurous!

Took my husband there for his birthday dinner, All of the staff are absolutely wonderful. We ordered the Lovers Boat, it was absolutely gorgeous! Lot's of different choices of Shrimp tempura, Vege tempura 🍤, two choices of Beef steaks, California Rolls, sliced fruit, 🍚 rice. It was then served in a very beautiful wooden boat! I highly recommend this place for any occasion and the prices of their beautiful prepared dishes are definitely affordable.

Great food and hospitable service. I highly recommend. My only suggestion would be to turn down the music, and don’t aim cleansing spray toward customers while they’re eating. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the terrific food. I suggest the Loco Roll.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch after visiting a winery in Paso Robles. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Service if very fast and our food was brought to the table quickly. Their rolls are a little different than the standard sushi rolls. We ordered the Salmon King Roll, Kiss of Fire and some Fried Rice. All the food we had was good. I recommend this place and we will come back again next time we are in Paso Robles. We don’t have any complaints about this place. The rolls are a little more expensive than what we normally pay in Michigan, but that was fine because they were good. The bill was $55 for the two of us before tip.

I ordered chicken teriyaki (not a fish guy). At this price I would not expect the chicken to be though. I went to please others and not in a hurry to go back, especially at this price. Note: others were happy with their food.

Had the vegetable tempura, rainbow roll, miso soup, & Japanese tea. The tea was a little weak, not enough fragrance or flavor, the rainbow roll was wrapped in a nice combination of fresh fish but the inside seemed all mayonnaise and imitation crab. The tempura shined, nice large cuts of fresh vegetables, all very good and it included a tasty simple salad and a bowl of rice. The miso soup was also very good. Service was friendly & efficient. Decor was casual with an inviting sushi bar. Overall a pleasant experience and I will go back, but I will avoid any rolls that include "crab".
