This is a sweet tooth owner's paradise, you even might think that you died and get to the heaven. Or simply get a sugar coma, as with 150 different types of Gelato, ice cream and mouses besides other types of sweets such as cakes, baked goods and candy it p9sess a serious threat to your diet as it is very hard to resist from trying everything. So I advise to plan to visit this place more than once.
There are over 150 flavors of ice cream, we ordered 3 ice creams, you are paying for cup or waffle around 3,80-6 euros, and then you can have any ice cream you want prices are same. You can mix ice creams as well. I ordered snickers and kit kat and it was amazing. Also stuff are friendly, dessert was amazinggg, this coffe was only 4 euros and it was big. I recommend
One should visit this gelato cafe when s/he visits the Pantheon. When I asked the attendant which flavour he would recommend, the first word came from his mouth was pistachio. Then I trusted him and ordered a pistachio ice cream. The attendant's recommendation didn't disappoint me. The ice cream is rich in the flavour of pistachio. The ice cream itself is also creamy in texture. Bravo. Their espresso is also rich in flavour. The attendants are friendly and diligent. The place is also clean, spacious and chill. Please note that no public washrooms from this cafe. Customers need to present a ticket in order to have access to the washrooms.
Absolutely amazing ice cream! De La Palma is hands down one of the best gelaterias in Rome. With 150 flavors to choose from, it's a dream come true for any ice cream lover. Whether you're in the mood for something fruity, creamy, nutty, or completely unique – they've got it all. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect place to cool down on a hot day or simply take a break while exploring the city. They even have a small bar area where you can grab a soft drink and sit down to enjoy your treat. I've been coming here for years, and I’ll continue coming back for many more. It's a spot that never disappoints. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike – a true Roman gem!
An unforgettable gelato experience in the heart of Rome! Gelateria Della Palma absolutely lives up to the hype. With over 150 flavors, this place is a dream for gelato lovers. I tried the hazelnut, pistachio, and dark chocolate – all incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. They even have vegan and lactose-free options, which is a huge plus! The shop is spacious and beautifully designed, just a short walk from the Pantheon. Even when it’s busy (which it usually is), the service is quick and friendly. You can really tell everything is made with care. Whether you’re a gelato purist or love trying creative flavors like tiramisù or cheesecake, this place is a must-visit. One of the best gelato experiences I’ve had in Italy – highly recommended!
A gelato massacre — in the best way. Even people who “don’t really like ice cream” will find something here… and love it. Over 150 flavors: classics, wild experiments, vegan, soy-based, sugar-free — you name it. Open since 1978, and they’ve probably frozen everything imaginable by now. A must-stop spot, just don’t expect to choose quickly. 😄
We’ve never seen this much of a variety of gelato before, it’s crazy! We took our time to decide which ones to get, it was very delicious!😋 The staff is extremely nice and helpful. You actually pay for a cup and you can get more flavors in one cup, or just one big scoop. It’s open till midnight, so if you crave a late night sweet snack, just come here!
During our recent family trip to Rome, we stumbled upon Gelateria Della Palma, and it quickly became a highlight of our adventure. Located near the Pantheon, this gelateria boasts an astounding selection of over 150 gelato flavors, making the decision-making process both delightful and daunting. One of the most memorable aspects was the sheer variety of flavors available. From classic options like stracciatella and pistachio to more adventurous choices such as basil and Kit-Kat, there was something to satisfy every palate. My children were particularly thrilled by the vibrant displays and the opportunity to sample unique combinations they had never imagined. We tried panna cotta, cinnamon roll, dulce de leche mousse, espresso and dragon fruit. Amazing and so tasty. The ordering process was straightforward: you first pay at the counter, then present their receipt to one of the friendly attendants to select their desired flavors. We were impressed by the range of sizes offered, including a colossal €15 cone that appeared to hold nearly a kilogram of gelato. A tempting challenge for any ice cream enthusiast!!! Beyond the gelato, Della Palma also features a bakery section, offering an array of pastries and other sweet treats. This addition makes it a versatile spot for anyone with a sweet tooth, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and patient, even as we took our time making selections. Their warmth added to the overall experience, making us feel welcome and valued as customers. In summary, Gelateria Della Palma is a must-visit destination for gelato lovers in Rome. We will definitely be back.
Della Palma is one of those unforgettable gelato shops that makes you stop, smile, and immediately feel like a child again. With its incredible variety of flavors, truly dozens and dozens, it offers one of the most impressive selections in Rome. From classic pistachio, hazelnut, and stracciatella to more creative combinations like ricotta–fig, champagne, cookies, and tropical fruit sorbets, the display is as colorful as it is tempting. The gelato itself is smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced. You can taste the quality of the ingredients: the pistachio is deep and nutty, the chocolate flavors are decadent without being heavy, and the fruit sorbets are refreshing and bright. Portion sizes are generous, and the option to combine several flavors makes the experience even more enjoyable. The shop is lively, often busy, but the staff remains friendly and efficient, helping you choose if you’re overwhelmed by the massive menu: which is very likely! The atmosphere inside is fun and welcoming, with a true “Roman gelato institution” feeling. Della Palma is the perfect stop after exploring central Rome or simply whenever you need a sweet break. Delicious, playful, and absolutely worth visiting.
Very poor service. You must pay first, then collect gelato at one counter and coffee at another — totally confusing. The staff threw my ticket at me, and the coffee counter refused to let me take my drink away, only to drink there. In the end, I had to put my hot coffee on my ice cream cup — everything was a mess and a very unpleasant experience.
