Bluewater Grill is popular for its lake views, varied menu, and excellent service. Many rave about the coconut shrimp, lobster roll, and bloody Mary bar. It can get crowded, especially on Friday nights, leading to waits.

The wait staff was excellent. The sushi was pretty decent! I feel like they could easily open up their back dining room to have a better view of Skaneateles lake. I requested to be seated in a specific spot and they were very accommodating.
Blue Water Grill is always a hit when we visit Skaneateles. This most recent visit was on a beautiful Sunday in August. There was not much weight less than 20 minutes. Ran into some people we knew at the bar while we were enjoying a beverage. We were seated quickly near vlive music. We enjoyed a wonderful shrimp appetizer. And our entrees were equally delicious. Friendly attentive Service as always. Wish we lived closer.
The menu is very thought out, we had a hard time deciding what to order. The kitchen dud not disappoint, delicious tasting meals. We sat at the bar and had excellent service so good that we had to return the next night. Again no disappointments at all. Excellent We will definitely be returning when our travels bring us back to Skaneateles
Amy was a great server. My wife spilled part of my drink and Amy helped make it right. The lobster bisque and haddock were incredible!!
Top notch ! Food excellent, service decent depending on where your sat, if you get sat in the bar area booths expect to go to the bar every once and a while to get something you need but they are very pleasant about it might just be understaffed like the rest of America overall solid choice if in skaneateles area 8.9/10
Mahi Mahi tacos best my husband ever had. My salad and salmon perfectly done. Everything wonderful.
Delicious food, gluten free buns, vegan options. Very accommodating restuarant that assured us we would make our boat trip before we sat down for lunch. Grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were great and affordable.
Delicious food, and an assortment of different types of food as well! There's something for every one. Their fish is incredible - both cooked fish and sushi fish. I had the Poke Bowl with half sushi rice and half salad, with half cubed marinated sushi tuna and half calamari salad. The prices were mid to high range for dinner specials, but their full menu was very reasonably priced. We went on a Wednesday night at 7:00pm and were glad we made reservations - because this place is popular! We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the lake. Limited seating outdoors, but plenty of seating inside. Street parking is metered but free after 6pm. Service was attentive.
Stop there for lunch today sit by the water. The area is absolutely beautiful. Restaurant has a very nice vibe to it and two different bar areas. There was seating on the patio, but unfortunately it was closed today. We really wanted to be by the water so the hostess and our waitress went out of their way to clear us off the table right by the window so we can look outside. Tiandra was amazing and the food was excellent!!!! The view is stunning ! The water on the lake is crystal clear .
Food is great! Have been coming here for years…. I recommend reserving a table, especially on weekends, or you might be stuck waiting.
Went to Blue Water for quest drinks and some appetizers in 12.26. Snow was falling Skeaneatles and the lobster bisque and pretzels and Sidecar drink were what we needed.
A hard-working bartender made drinks, took food orders, and cleared tables on an unusually busy Sunday, with lots of folks in town for a boat show. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, my husband ordered the bison burger. Both were tasty! Kudos to the kitchen staff for keeping up with all the orders. Staff teamwork on display!
Amazing Bloody Mary Bar on Sundays! And great service and atmosphere! Fried pickles were delicious too! Jasmine was the best bartender/waitress! We were lucky to have her twice this past weekend! She was so friendly and attentive! We will definitely be back when we return to Skaneateles, and we will definitely ask for Jasmine! ❤️
Was surprised I didn’t see any reviews of the English Pub curry. It was terrific! Basically your typical Indian style tikka masala. Mild to slightly spicy. Very creamy mild tomato sauce. Rice and naan were soft and complimented everything nicely. Great choice if you’re interested in something outside the norm.
Enjoyable, relaxing late lunch under the covered porch. Out of the sun, but open to the breeze. My Meal: Gorgonzola salad with grilled chicken Ample chicken with a really generous mix of walnuts, cranberries, etc. The dressing was robust and viscous. Excellent. $17 My Beverage: the ice tea... Average. Nothing dramatic. $3 Other Meals: my wife had the chicken sandwich. Two others had the Napoleon salad, lobster bisque, and the penne pasta. Everyone was delighted. Ambiance: average diner. Nicer bar area. But nothing detracted from our experience. Rating: all 4 of us gave 5 stars
Crowded restaurant, but worth the wait. We sat in the back bar, and the bartender was great. Had a tasty apple mule, and sangria. Also ordered the shrimp tacos and buffalo burger. DELICIOUS! Highly recommend.
The Manager at the place we were staying for Dickens in the Village suggested Blue Water Grill to us for lunch or dinner. We appreciated it. Location is excellent as it has room which is heated in the winter with large windows to look at the massive pier and lake. Bonus is during the holidays you may enjoy the beautiful Xmas tree. As I entered the resturant I was immediately greeted and welcomed by Michelle the hostess. I told her my husband would be in shortly as he was parking the car. She had asked if I'd like to be seated but I decided since she wasn't busy instead ask about what exactly stretch bread was? Seeing it was advertised on the black board. She wasn't sure how to explain it. Either did I at the time. But... I came to the conclusion it's similiar to a bagute. And delicious. It does have a nice sponge to it. And I discovered exactly why the locals eat it as when as their staples. A bakery across the street sells it and of course we brought a loaf back home. Thank you Michelle I enjoyed the welcome to the blue Water Grill and educating me about stretch bread. Our server was excellent professional helpful and immediately served us with cocktail wine and stretch bread. Entrees consisted of the iron steak which was wonderful. Tender steak served with golden smashed potatoes and what? Pimento and feta cheese. Delicious! Ceasars sald was crisp fresh and delicious. My husband entree was the grilled salmon dinner summer squash(which he raved about) and a house salad. I highly reccomend both entrees.
We found this place as we were wandering through skaneateles. It was so good, we went there twice. And the server remembered us, which is to me a sign of a good server. The food was great. The service was great. I think if I lived up there I'd be a regular.
We had an awesome experience the food was great as well as the atmosphere & the server Adrienne was the best ever!!! She made a great experience even better. So if you are ever in skaneateles NY this is a must stop, they have something for everyone's taste. Cheers to everyone at the Blue Water Grill 🍻
Blue Water Grill was recommended by the manager at our hotel. I'm so glad we took his advice as both the service and our meals were outstanding! We sat at the bar for a short wait on a Friday evening and were delighted that outdoor seating was available. My husband ordered the surf and turf and I had the mahi mahi. Our waitress was amazing, our food arrived quickly and was delicious.. Needless to say we would definitely eat here again when in the area.
Wonderful ambiance right on Skaneateles Lake. The chicken bites were wonderful and full of flavor from the honey and soy marinade. The brunch burger was also amazing, though these waffles are a bit too much on the sweet side for a savory dish. Still, cooked to order and wonderful all around. I tasted my girlfriend's lobster bisque and it was delicious! The Bourbon Blackberry cocktail was the only miss of the night. Literally only tasted sour mix. Needs balancing.
We stopped in during the Dicken's christmas expecting a wait, we were told 45 minutes..not bad. While we were waiting we went to the bar to get a drink and were standing by a high top. Makayla walked by and asked if we were getting drinks or food and told us to grab the High top. Her service was above and beyond..It was busy and she had a smile on her face and made sure we were taken care of. The food came out very quick and was excellent. Drinks were good as well.. Thanks for the great time and please let server know she made our day.
An excellent restaurant right on the lake, offering a wide variety of dishes, as well as many cocktails and types of wine. Pleasant design and great atmosphere (during our visit there was a live singer performing). The portions are large and tasty (special praise for the baked brie!). We rated the service 4 out of 5 because we were mistakenly served a dish with bacon, despite clearly stating we are vegetarians. In response, the waitress took the plate to the kitchen and returned very quickly with the same plate after the bacon had been removed. This is not appropriate; one would expect a new dish to be prepared. We were surprised to discover a local town tradition — on weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas, there are street theater events where people walk around dressed in 19th-century attire.
The food was phenomenal Service was great and their playlist is on point! We had the scallop soup Teriyaki wings Blue bacon burger & Teriyaki stir fry with salmon Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Shout out to the bartender who let me pay for the bill while my boyfriend was in the bathroom. You rock!
Visited today for lunch from Scotland with my husband and son. Food was lovely with big portions and plenty of choice, especially if you like fish dishes. We had the steak tacos, bison burger, Nashville chicken burger and nachos. Such a beautiful location for a restaurant, next to the pier on the lake. Our table overlooked the lake which was gorgeous. Our server was attentive and friendly. Thanks for a nice afternoon 🥰
Good food, drinks and service! Dined in the bar area for a relaxing meal after a 5 hour drive arriving into the area. This experience checked off all the boxes. Not our first time here, and it won't be the last. Started off with the brie appetizer. Super yummy! Could of had another order for the meal. Clams, burger and lobster salad were great! Sit by the window for a true downtown view.
We love the lobster roll, and the fries are quite good. They can be busy and don't take reservations for parties of less than six. But, they will take your cell phone number when you arrive and text you when your table's ready. This allows you time to visit some of the nearby boutiques, or explore the pier and lakeside park. With all the windows in their dining rooms, it can get pretty warm and stuffy on a sunny day. If available, I recommend a table on the outside patio. The service is excellent. UPDATE-1: We returned on a Thursday for lunch and, although it was the peak of the tourist season, we were seated at one of the 7 tables on the outdoor patio within 5 minutes. I very much enjoyed the shrimp po' boy tacos with the optional addition of taco chips and pico de gallo. The remoulade sauce on the fried shrimp was an excellent pairing, and the tomato salsa with the chips had a pronounced cilantro aroma and tasted as if it had just been prepared. UPDATE-2: Had the Pub Chicken Curry for dinner. Overall, it was nice dish, although if I ordered it again, I would ask if the chef could kick up the heat a bit since it was quite mild. Also, the onions were overcooked and had a mushy consistency. The chicken was tender and moist without detectable fat or grizzle. The meal was filling and the service was excellent. UPDATE-3: Having traveled throughout the Caribbean, I've ordered coconut shrimp at a fair number of restaurants. Hence, you can imagine my surprise to find that one of the best preparations of this Caribbean favorite is available right here in Skaneateles at the Blue Water Grill. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the coating was crunchy with lots of toasted coconut. In addition, the accompanying sweet chili dipping sauce was excellent. I highly recommend you try this appetizer on your next visit to the restaurant. My wife also very much enjoyed her appetizer of curried mussels. She took some of it home to pour over angel hair pasta as a second meal. She offered me a taste and, as I've noted previously with the pub curry chicken, I found the curry sauce too bland. Unfortunately, the other item I tried for the first time on this visit, the hazelnut cake with vanilla ice cream, was something I wouldn't order again. UPDATE-4: Tried the triple-berry tart prepared by the nearby Patisserie Bakery. It was served warm with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. An excellent dessert.
Every time we go to skaneatles we have to stop and eat. We got the blackened mahi mahi, coconut shrimp, shrimp tempura roll, and the blue burger. The food is always stellar. The variety is wide and the service is superb. The atmosphere is always vibrant. Already looking forward to going back.
Let me just start by saying WOW! I recently moved to Syracuse from the DC metro area and was having a lot of trouble finding great dining in the area but this place has exceeded expectations. The food was phenomenal. The lobster roll did not disappoint and their was a fair serving of lobster in it too. Fries were great and fresh. The stir fry was packed with flavor but maybe had a bit too much sauce if anything could be said about it. The pretzels and beer cheese were a great little appetizer and I loved that they had sushi rolls as an option too! The view from the restaurant is beautiful the lake was so clear. we could see baby ducks chasing each other right outside the window from our table. This was the best dining experience I have had in central New York and I don’t have much critique to add. Tiandra was our server and she did an amazing job checking on us despite being busy. I WILL be recommending this place to everyone I know!
Beautiful location. Big menu with lots of different choices. But maybe that’s why some of the food was meh. I would recommend the bisque and chowder but not the mahi mahi tacos. They were decent but nothing to write home about. Our waitress was great and we had a great time there overall.

It was a Friday evening and we made reservations for 5:30. Very noisy and crowded but we didn’t mind as the food and the service was excellent.
Came in for a quick lunch in the small town of Skaneateles (pronounced "skinny Atlas") as a suggestion from my lovely wife. First up, I had the lobster bisque. Very thick and tasty, and it actually had chunks of lobster! Next, I had the ahi tuna sandwich. Nicely cooked with great Asian flavor. Based on the food, Blue Water Grill should get 5/5. However, the men's room warrants a full star reduction. The urinal is immediately to your left as you enter the restroom. If someone is using the urinal as you walk in, you cannot walk past him. The reverse is also true, if you're in the restroom and someone is using the urinal, you can't leave until he is done. The door would not lock either. Weird, awkward, and frustrating layout.
There are vegetarian options! You can even ask them to take things off to make things vegan! I had the veggie Napoleon, but without the mayo so it's vegan. The seating was great, the live music was wonderful, and the waitress was knowledgeable... But they did mess up my order and almost gave me something I didn't order.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced Service was okay waitress didn't come by at all after food was delivered only to drop off the bill. Had another table waiter get refill on drink
Cutish spot, onish the water. Nice waitstaff, lean and comfortable atmosphere. Big thumbs down on the burger.
I had some of the best fish tacos here. There was a good balance of spice and sweetness from the pineapple. My son gobbled up the crab cake sandwich and said, "I could eat her again." Nice seating if you like a bar, or indoor, or indoor with nice light and scenery, and a few outdoor seats.
We had a great meal and amazing service. We always try something different. Our favorite this time was the brie appetizer (pictured). The one issue we had was the large party in the room with us was very loud and it made it hard for us to enjoy our evening, since we could not hear each other.
Nice view of the lake, we ordered shrimp po boy, excellent! Shrimp very fresh. Also, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was ok.. spicy but not much flavor. Crab Rangoon dip was very good except it came out cold in the middle with a side of someone’s hair in it! Things happen. (Wasn’t charged) Will be back!
Skaneateles is a cute and quaint lakeside town. This restaurant is right on the water but unfortunately the view is not that viewable as when you sit out on the back porch, your view is obscured by rooftops and tree branches, and when you sit inside, say along the bar, you can vaguely see the lake out the windows. However, if you really want to see the lake just go outside next door and walk down the pier. The restaurant itself is a favorite of mine for food quality. I love the appetizers (particularly The Lobster Napolean), the salads, the soups, and many others. When it's busy, you can feel very squished to other tables, and the sound doesn't travel well throughout so it can get loud. I've found that week day evenings are ideal, otherwise be sure to make a reservation.
A local landmark situated right on the lake. Beautiful views overlooking the pier and the lake. Their food is amazing! My girlfriend had the lobster tower and salmon and loved it. The salad with the scallops was amazing. Service is prompt. They have covered and heated patio for the winter. This is a great place if you are out on a date or if you are having a family dinner. The cocktail were my least favorite thing about this restaurant, however, they do serve local New York beers on tap.
Decent but don't expect to be wowed... There are better choices around town. The good is that the service was great and the food came out pretty fast. The environment was so-so ... They seated us in what looked like a sunroom with tile floors, wood ceiling and walls of glass ... It was small, crowded, warm, no air movement and possibly the loudest restaurant experience ever as the noise from 20 dinner conversations at once just bounces off all those hard surfaces was deafening. Attempting a conversation with the people at your own table was difficult. The food was good but not great and on the pricey side but in an area of out of sight rents, real estate prices and property taxes, it's to be expected. It's better than 3 stars but 4 may be generous, I'll try it again some other time to be fair.
Stopped for late lunch on a Sunday and waited in the lobby for 10 minutes with no hostess around to direct us. We went to the bar and asked and sat in there rather than a table in the dining room. The menu has a wide selection to fit your tastes-including a separate sushi list. The bar tender was attentive and checked in several times and was helpful with the sushi selection. We had SUMMER BERRY SALAD, CALIFORNIA ROLL, NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH, GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH. Everyone said their meals were delicious. I had the salad and the tastes were fantastic mixed together. The Nashville Chicken looked amazing too!
I've been going here since I was a kid and I've always loved it. The food is delicious and it is so beautiful being able to sit right on the water. Recently I've been loving their brunch menu, specifically the eggs benedict. However, the last few times I've been the service hasn't been the best. We barely had our table checked on and already had our orders ready by the time we were asked our drink orders.

A fun spot right on the lake. Sushi was great! Service was amazing. Food and beer were pretty good! I would go back and definitely get more sushi!

If you want a water view and don’t mind slightly overpriced mediocre food, this is the place for you! The steamed clams at $16.00 were a laughably small portion of 13 tiny clams. Given that the wholesale cost of little neck clams through US Foods is $43.00 per hundred count, this is somewhat usurious. The blackened mahi-mahi was good — well, at least as well as you can do with a piece of frozen fish. The “sushi rice “ accompaniment was basic steamed rice with none of be vinegar that makes sushi rice sushi rice. The $7.00 cucumber salad was a small dish of cucumber slices swimming in a commercial Italian dressing with a few onions slices. The sangria was the best part of the meal. The service was slow and our server didn’t bother to offer a refill on my soft drink.
The server was quite slow. We were seated for at least 10 or 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Drinks were another 5 minutes or so. The food was good...spinach artichoke dip, calamari and lobster and goat cheese salad were all tasty and reasonablytimely. Took a long while to get to go boxes and the check. Pet peeve is the tip was pre highlighted at 25%. Definitely not worth a 25% tip as we had to chase her down. Bathroom floors were really sticky.
Had an reservation for the dinner cruise in skaneateles it got canceled due to weather. Blue water grill is right next door we went there save some money but the food was pretty basic and expensive but it was nice to get out and do something now we'll see how the other side lives!💸💸💸
Tasteless sushi smattered in creamy sauces. Fish wasn’t cut properly and many pieces had connective tissue in it. The Neapolitan on the menu sounded great, yet it was a huge disappointment due to its taste and texture. We also didn’t have a good waitress who didn’t check on us even once asking about the food or offering drink refills. Other wait staff had to assist us. Not returning again or recommending to any visitors. Mediocre experience.
Staff were great but the food was disappointing. I ordered the lobster bisque and the only lobster meat I received was the little pieces sprinkled on top. I only ate a little because it tasted like can soup. My fiance had the burger and it was just slightly better... So sad because this place has so much potential given it's location.
We ate there a few days ago as a party of 5. Everything tasted good, however, our burgers were very overcooked and dry. Other than that, everything was great.
I ordered sushi and shrimp tacos, and received the tacos not even lukewarm. I ate them because I was starving, but wouldn’t recommend they serve cold food that’s supposed to be hot. And not anyone’s fault, but I received a cup with a giant chip in the side of it.
My first impression was walking into a wall of heat. With the kitchen being right in the front of house you feel it right away - and we were sat right next to it too so we were kind of uncomfortable throughout the meal. We ordered drinks and food - soup came out and I watched my drink sit at the bar for a good 15 minutes. By the time our waitress brought drinks to us, we had finished our apps and the drinks were watered down from the melting ice. The bisque was very good but the crackers it was served with were stale. Our meals came out and my shrimp was covered in spices that were dolloped on after they were cooked. Overpowering and too spicy for my taste. I wiped off the spice as much as I could and thankfully the shrimp themselves were tasty. The shrimp were served on top of the steak so that overpowering spicy mixture was on my steak as well. Tried my best to scrape it off but it was no use. Only ate about half the steak - it was well cooked though. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were good. We were leaving around 8 and the staff was cleaning up (they close at 9 that night) so even with a full hour left we felt rushed to leave, especially with the waitress sweeping behind me and hitting my chair with the broom.
July 2025: we were visiting the Skaneateles area and wanted to grab a bite to eat downtown. Most of the top rated restaurants that were recommended were either fully booked or closed. We walked past Blue Water Grill and liked that it was on the water and they had one high top table open for two inside, so we took it. We were seated at a tabletop in the back of the restaurant in a corner across from the back bar. We both felt it was very warm inside the restaurant, it seemed like they didn't have air conditioning and it was 85 degrees outside. It was uncomfortable for us but we were hungry. The menu was large with a variety of items- from sushi, to hamburgers, to salads, steak, curry, pasta, and more. We ordered the Classic Napoleon and a few sushi rolls for dinner. I liked the Napoleon because I liked the combination of the pineapple, onion, and avocado. My husband thought it had too much red onion and needed a starch. The maki was okay. Overall, a nice place to stop if you want a variety of menu options and a decent meal.
Location and service were great...sushi was okay but the rest of the food we ordered was pretty tasteless.

Very pricey!! $86 for 2 lobster rolls & Cole slaw. price "MV" on Menu .. What a shock for a sandwich & Cole slaw!! Nothing big or fancy. My husband & I won't go there again.

We heard how great this place was from several sources. Bottom line, it's just average. They only take reservations for groups of 5 or 6 or more and people stand in line for reasons that escape me.…
Very disappointing experience on Mother’s Day. We had reservations, were seated right away and then waited over an hour for our food. We had to ask another server to check on our food as our server never came over during the hour wait. When the food finally did come out it was obvious it had been sitting for a bit as the fries were cold and the soup was at best lukewarm. Very disappointing.
Wanted a burger. Ordered medium rare, came medium to medium well. Not much flavor. Ordered the Brie toast starer, not horrible. My cocktail came in a very dirty glass. Will I return…NO. Just simply wouldn’t recommend.
Improve your AC and clearly need to hire more staff!!! If you like to eat with sweat dripping down your back, this is your place. If you like slow service, have to ask for ice in your ice water. Appetizers that arrived mid dinner. The fries were cold and two of our family of 8, dinners came out as we were half way through our burgers. Mind you we only ordered burgers and chicken sandwiches not full dinners. Then this is your place. The food when you get it, is good, but not good enough to go back. There are plenty of other establishments with AC, & better service. This was second time here. Our first visit was last year and decided to gave this place another chance, after our boat ride, it is continently near the docks. Never again!!! Suggestions: get AC or turn it on, hire more staff during peak time/hours or just hire more staff!! close or screen in the patio doors, no one like flies when they are eating.
Excellent service, terrible food. Plenty gluten free options, possibly inedible though. I got the steak, ordered medium rare— I’m not convinced it wasn’t microwaved. It was completely overcooked, but in all fairness, it was so thin it would’ve been hard to not overcook it. Came completely doused in butter if that’s your thing. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant flakes. My friend got a burger— it was very greasy and seemed to be unevenly cooked. About an hour later, we both had to run to the bathroom. Will never eat here again.
While the food is average, this is not a seafood restaurant. The only fish on the menu is ahi, mahi-mahi, and salmon. My salmon BLT was mediocre, with overcooked bacon, a wilted leaf of lettuce, and a thin tasteless slice of tomato, plated on a cheap hamburger bun. My guests had better food. The ahi was wonderful, and the gorgonzola was good. The baked brie was not baked brie, it was brie slices (you can't slice baked brie unless you chill it) that were melted on a bread slice with a slice of apple, very sweet balsamic sauce over the top, with a candied pecan on top -- you could barely taste the brie. We made reservations ahead of time, yet were seated at the worst table in the house. As a party of five, we had an extra chair added to a table for four, and the fifth chair sat in the very heavily trafficked aisle in the busiest part of the dining room. The person seated in that fifth chair heard all the noise of the dining room bar, the conversations between servers and guests, and the noise of clattering dishes, and was thus unable to hear most of the conversation with their fellow diners. The server for our table was also the bartender, and provided us minimal service, with long waits for what we needed. This is definitely a caveat emptor restaurant, which can be decent uf you want a salad, a burger, or some wings. It was a serious disappointment given our expectation that it offered and served good seafood.
Great food but got the distinct feeling that the waitress was pissed at us. Very uncomfortable feeling and extremely disappointing. I would never treat guests with such contempt. Gave a decent tip nonetheless but will not be back, even though I love the menu. Common decency should be a given in an upscale dining restaurant.
We had about a 40 min wait. Chose to get a drink at the bar while waiting. Got our seats and ordered the baked Brie appetizer. Ordered dinner at same time. It took almost 30 min to get the app which had burnt candied pecans on it. About five min later our meals came. I chose the hot honey chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The breading and hot honey sauce was black and crispy burnt off the chicken breast that had been cut in half before serving. The chicken was leather. Sweet potato fries were mostly burnt black with very little orange showing. Very disappointing meal. Best part was the drink at the bar and the very sweet girls who were running the service.

Our waitress was very nice. The Mahi, mahi was overcooked and possibly frozen fish not fresh. A long wait and the enclosed outside space was like a sauna. Never will come back again
We waited at our table for 15 minutes for a server, who never showed up. We left. This was after waiting 30 minutes for a table. Very disappointing sin w we've been here before and never has a pr…
Its a cute place, staff was awesome but our food was sub standard. I got Mahi mahi and it was super dry and it was served on like 5 pieces of mixed salad greens and barely had any sauce. I dont recommend it. It was kind of a confusing dish. I thought it said served with the vegetable of the day and it wasnt. Maybe that was the salmon and that could he my fault. My husbands sandwich was small and really salty. The fish was a 28.00 dish and looked beautiful but was at best a 12.00 dish. Maybe they had a new cook or they were off. But I still wouldn't recommend it. Get the salmon instead. Maybe other dishes tasted better. It was packed so maybe we just happened to get 2 not so great dishes.
Very disappointed with the service. We waited almost 20 minutes just to get the bread, and the food came out very slowly. The worst part was the checkout — we asked at least twice for the check, but no one came for over 20 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even busy at the time. We all stood up by the table waiting, and the cashier was just a few steps away. At least five servers were standing around, but none of them came to help or even called our server. Terrible service. Definitely not coming back.
Servers were rude to us and did not want to serve us. Went today looking for a table for our party of 8 and was told they could not seat us even if we sat at 2 separate tables and used different payment methods, and that a table would be at least an hour wait even though several others who had walked in right before us were seated. Felt racially motivated- go to Doug’s Fish Fry instead, much better service!!
Worst dining experience in recent memory. Made reservations 24hr ahead for 8 only to get a dirty, sticky table outside and it was wicked hot. Waitress was so-so at best. We had a menu that said fish & chips was the special but apparently that was NG, the special for dinner was the "brunch burger". The lumpy rice had no taste whatsoever, no bread for table, like the next table had. Because we were 8 you take 20% so no need to actually provide service to "earn it" seemed to be the motto.
We were told we could wait or go to the bar area. There was a table in the bar area. We were approached by the waitress and hostess saying we Jumped the line. She was rude in her approsch due to the hostess not being clear. I won’t ever go back. I have been before and the good is only mediocre. The staff is overwhelmed and unprofessional. There is a way to speak to a customer. This place hasn’t learned how.
Such a disappointing lunch. $80 for a soggy frozen cod sandwich, under and over cooked zucchini, floppy boiled brussel sprouts that were supposed to be "carmelized" a motio that had a whole lime in it so it was so sour it wasnt drinkable....when we explained to the waitress how unhappy we were she blew us off and just said"sorry you didn't like it" I had the lobster roll which was flavorless and not very much actual "lobster" in it. The beans and rice where good but lets face it its hars to mess those up. The only think this place has going for it is the view. When we walked in most people were just eating salad and now we see why. The plates are well presented but the food and drinks were terrible!! I really ever give negative reviews but the staff lack of carring about our disappointing meal after spending so much at there establishment was upsetting. Do yourself a f(l)avor and go to Rosalies cucina or Joelles french bistro instead.;)
